Vivian and the Defender of the Wing healers kept Iris on bedrest for three more days. No matter how much she protested they all refused to let her out. Even Dagur agreed with them much to her disgust.

It was all because Vivian found out she was pregnant. After blowing up about not being told this in the beginning the older woman calmed down and ordered strict bedrest. She raged, in English, about not having the equipment to check on her unborn grandchild to make sure they were okay. So during those three days she threw herself into the texts the healers had to study everything she could get her hands on.

When Jon found out Iris stared at him in shock as he cried. He had caught her in a big hug, tears streaming down his face. She had never seen him cry before so the whole experience freaked her out. It was honestly weird.

It was just as surprising to find out her parents were staying here. Both agreed they wanted to stay to be near her. The past months had been torture not knowing how she was, what was happening, and over all just feeling like part of their life was missing. Her estranged grandmother showed up one day with a wild story Vivian promised to explain later and then showed up days before Hiccup did. That gave them all the more reason to come here since she was there to take over the homestead.

Hiccup bombarded her with questions on her second day of bed rest. He hadn't had a chance to ask Vivian or Jon about everything he saw and Dagur refused to answer him. So Iris bore the brunt of his questions. She did her best to answer them.

"That must be where the Night Furies went," he speculated. Dagur had thought the very same thing. "Along with Wooly Howlers. The two must have crossbred for generations to make what we are calling Fury Howlers. Amazing. How did they hide from the people in your world for so long?"

"Beats me," she answered. "But now there are three more here so they managed somehow."

It had been another shock to learn that Enigma brought three more Fury Howlers back with her along with her parents. Iris wanted to see them so bad, she wanted to see Enigma, but no dragons were allowed to enter and she wasn't allowed to leave. Hiccup tried to describe them to her but it just made her want to get out of bed sooner.

"Mom please," Iris pleaded once again. "I feel better. My body doesn't hurt anymore, my hands aren't shaking anymore, and I can move my legs better! Let me off of bed rest please. Please?"

"If I do that you are going to strain yourself I already know it," Vivian said firmly. "You are staying right here."

"Mom I have to go back to Berserk. So does Dagur. We have things we need to do."

"All the more reason to stay here on bed rest."

"Mom."

"I have to agree with Iris dear," Jon said. He had been watching Vivian check over Iris. "She needs to return to her home. Even you know she'll rest easier in a familiar place."

"But flying might," Vivian began.

"Enigma won't hurt me," Iris argued. "Its no different than riding a horse just high in the air! I promise, no tricks, nothing funny. You and Dagur will be right there too. So will the Berserker Riders."

"I don't know," Vivian said slowly. The door opened. "Dagur, your wife is fussing again."

"I want to go home," Iris argued as Dagur looked between her and Vivian. "If I'm going to be stuck in a bed it might as well be somewhere where I can do something! We've been gone for too long. What if they decided to do something weird again? Like trying to get swords to grow on trees?"

"I almost forgot about that," Dagur snickered. "Erm. Vivian, I'm sorry. As much as I'd like Iris to not move an inch, she's right. We need to go back to Berserk."

Vivian scowled at him but Iris gave him a smile. At least he was on her side as was her dad. For a minute Vivian just glared at them silently. Iris crossed her fingers under the blanket that covered her lap. She was about to give up hope when Vivian finally sighed.

"Fine," she said. "But the moment you feel any discomfort everyone is landing."

"She'll ride with me," Dagur said as Iris cheered. "Don't look at me like that."

"But Enigma," she began to whine.

"She'll be fine," Vivian said firmly.

Unfortunately her mom was right. Enigma cried as she greeted Iris and rubbed her face against Iris' body but when she tried to move to get on her the female Fury Howler shifted away. Anxiously she nudged Iris towards Jager. The gesture broke her heart.

"Its not your fault," Iris said softly as she rubbed Enigma's cheeks. "You aren't keeping me off you because of that are you?" Enigma cooed before pressing her nose against Iris' belly. "Is that the reason?" A purr like coo answered her. "You silly dragon."

"At least she agrees," Dagur commented. "Come on. Let's say our goodbyes before we leave."

Hiccup was talking to a short haired blonde woman as they approached him. He stopped midsentence at the sight of her. A smile split his face almost in two. However there was still concern in his eyes.

"Should you be up Iris?" he asked.

"I got released by my mother," Iris sighed. "We get to go home finally."

"Perhaps you should stay here longer," the woman started to say.

"Thanks Mala but I think she'll be more comfortable at home," Dagur said. He had his arm around her waist, refusing to move it so he could grab her if anything happened. "Besides our people will worry about her."

"And I'm worried about them," Iris admitted. "It is an honor to meet you Queen Mala. Thank you for all your help."

"It wasn't much," Mala said. "Your mother did what my healers could not. She is an amazing woman." Iris smiled at her words.

"She is," Iris said proudly.

"I wish you all safe travels," Mala continued. "If you are ever in need of help you may call on us. Any friend of Hiccup and the Dragon Riders is a friend of the Wing."

"Thank you," Iris said politely as Dagur just grumbled. She elbowed him. "Ignore him. He gets grumpy when he's tired. Thank you again. Both of you."

"Do you want us to fly with you?" Hiccup asked.

"No," Dagur said with a quick shake of his head. "You're all needed at the Edge. Who knows what Krogan and Viggo are planning now. If they know what's good for them, they'll stay out of my reach."

Iris sighed but didn't say anything as they walked away from a surprised Hiccup and concerned Mala. It was clear Dagur was bent on revenge, she couldn't hold that against him, but she hoped it didn't drive him over the deep end. They had hurt her, someone important to Dagur. It was only logical the Berserker chief want revenge.

Everyone was ready by the time they reached the unofficial flight grounds. The Berserker Riders anxiously hovered around her, asking how she felt. Even their dragons cooed anxiously from their spots. She shooed them away with reassurance that she was fine enough to travel. Right now they needed to focus on their dragons.

It was the first time Iris saw the new dragons. She stared in shock at them. They all looked like younger versions of Enigma and Jager. The light blue one, Iris believed it to be a female, was basically a smaller version of Enigma minus the overly proud attitude. Instead she seemed more timid and anxious. The other two, almost carbon copies of each other, shared similar looks with Jager. The one with only black markings screamed male while the other one was delicately built like the blue female which lead Iris to believe it was a female too. They were both calmer, more curious and level headed. The male was obviously attached to her dad already given how he hovered over Jon.

Dagur lifted her up and set her on Jager's saddle. He climbed up behind her and pulled her onto his lap. She looked back with a frown but he just shook his head. It was clear he wasn't going to let her argue about her seat.

"Let's head home," he shouted. The Berserker Riders cheered before urging their dragons to take flight.

Enigma took to the air with Vivian on her back and the light blue dragon close to her side. Jon had his eyes tightly shut as the brown dragon he rode leaped into the sky. However Jager trotted to the cliff edge and spread his wings before jumping off the edge. The updraft caught his wings and easily lifted him into the air even with an extra rider on his back.

"You don't have to be so careful," Iris grumbled.

"Yes I do," Dagur drawled. "You might not want to admit it but you're still not one hundred percent. I felt you shaking as we walked to the dragon grounds. You will be treated like the delicate woman you are right now. Especially until we know everything is okay." His hand rested on her belly to emphasize his words.

With a wordless grumble she leaned against him. Instead of fighting she stared at the blue sky around them, watching the Windstrikers, Deadly Nadders, and their Riders fly in formation around them. Enigma flew as close as she could to Jager while the other two riderless dragon hung behind them. Jon and his dragon were on the other side of Jager, Jon cracking open an eye to look around only to shut it tight again. She was going home, back to Berserk. It felt good.
