"My baby," Dagur sobbed as Yarrow chewed on her hand. "How could you betray me!"

"Told you," Iris laughed. "I told you!"

Giggling, Yarrow clapped her hands together. Five months had passed since they left Berserk Island. Slowly they were settling down, getting all their lives back together. Families were formed, marriages were celebrated, and new babies were introduced to the tribe. Of course, Iris and Dagur had settled back into their family life with Yarrow.

"Say it again sweetie," Iris cooed. "Show daddy who's the best."

"Draga," Yarrow babbled, waving her hands. "Draga."

"Told you it would be dragon," Iris laughed. "Who in their right mind would have bet Mama or Dada when there's a dragon who's even better? Right, Riddle?"

A small dragon cooed as it toddled over to them. Enigma and Jager's egg had finally hatched a week after the battle on Berserk Island. The grey and purple spotted female Fury Howler dragonling had everyone wrapped around her little paw. Well, everyone except Yarrow who had little Riddle wrapped around her little finger. They were already the best of friends.

"I wanted it to be Dada," Dagur whined as Yarrow wrapped her arms around Riddle's neck. "My baby girl betrayed me."

"You'll be fine," Iris chuckled as she scooped up Yarrow and snuggled her close. "The next one will say Dada for you."

"Oh the next one?" Vivian teased as she strode into the house. "Already planning on giving me another grandbaby?"

"Maybe," Iris drawled. "Who knows what the future holds."

"She knows," Dagur whispered loudly, winking at his mother in law who just shook her head. "Since our babysitter is here, fancy a flight my love?"

"Only if I get to race you," Iris teased. He just laughed.

"Take your time," Vivian called as she took Yarrow from Iris and walked further into the living room.

Iris just laughed as she and Dagur left the house. Outside Enigma and Jager eagerly hopped, excited for the ride. They each hopped onto their dragons and took to the sky. They soared over the village, waving at the tribesmen below.

Farmers already worked the fields with the Gronkles at their sides. Ellie helped the lumberjacks with her Timberjack, Emerald, easily cutting down the trees needed. At the new training grounds, Jon and Arlx put the men and women through drills. Ships filled the docks as the frames of new and different ships sat on the shores just out of reach of high tide.

The Berserker Riders flew by, shouting their greetings to them as they passed. Heather waved before shouting commands to the other Riders as they practiced their moves. It was like watching a dance as the Windstrikers and Deadly Nadders moved around each other.

Shadow lived in the new rookery with Screechie and their newest batch of hatchlings. Their older hatchlings were already grown and paired up with Terrible Terror mates of their own. One even had a nest of her own already. It made Iris proud seeing them adapt to their new family lives so easily.

Peace was something new to the Berserkers but something they welcomed eagerly. Both Dagur and Iris knew the peace would only be temporary. Vivian's book foresaw danger coming in the next few years, a danger they couldn't avoid but they could prepare for. After discussing it, they agreed that going to Vinland once they had ships ready would be best. Perhaps they could avoid the danger.

"Daydreaming love?" Dagur asked, flying in close. Iris just smiled at him.

"Just thinking," she said. "About how lucky I am."

"Oh?"

"Yep. I have you and Yarrow in my life. I wouldn't trade either of you for the world." She leaned over, Enigma angling herself to fly at an angle so Iris could reach Dagur. "Thank you. For crashing into my life. I love you."

Placing her hand on his cheek, Iris gave him a heartfelt kiss. He returned it, placing his hand over hers. The gesture made her smile and as much as she wanted to continue the kiss, the position was making her back ache. She pulled back with a grin.

"Race you," she shouted.

"Damn you," Dagur cursed as Enigma flew ahead.

Iris laughed, feeling the wind against her face. No matter what life threw at them, they'd survive it. After all, they were Berserkers. Nothing could stop them. Her life was a fantasy made reality.

The End.

Is it?
