Gotham Museum- Night. Egghead, after disabling, the security system, opens a glass cabinet containing 12 of the remaining Faberge Eggs.

Egghead:
You'll fetch a hefty penny.

Voice:
Put them down!

A red-headed woman dressed in a Bat costume leaps down into view from the ledge. Egghead turns sharply.

Egghead:
Batgirl?! Where's Batman?!

Batwoman:
It's Batwoman! We're different people! And Batman's too busy to deal with you, so that's why I'm here. The definition of an egghead is a smart person, so you should know I'm definitely not Batgirl.

Egghead:
Actually, it's just that I like eggs, which is why I call myself that. And then Batgirl or Batwoman, whatever. I wouldn't let go of these eggs. They must join my collection. For you see, (Holds one up) they're egg-squisite.

Batwoman (Sighs):
Seriously? Word games on eggs? (She takes her gun) If I shoot you in the hand, you're going to drop them so put them down now. It'll save me from wasting a bullet.

Egghead throws down an egg smoke pellet and runs. Batwoman runs through the smoke.

Batwoman:
If you think you can escape me, then you're sorely mistaken.

She sees Egghead run to the exit and aims her gun.

Batwoman:
I told you to put them down!

She shoots. She misses, but Egghead stumbles and drops the Faberge eggs. Batwoman is not quick enough to catch them all, but fortunately, Detective Renee Montoya of the Gotham City Police Department manages to catch them before they fall on the ground. Batwoman joins her outside.

Renee:
Fortunately I was just passing. Do you know how much these eggs cost?

Batwoman:
They're priceless artefacts.

Egghead:
They can fetch a pretty penny from the highest bidder.

Renee:
Too bad, you won't be able to sell them. You're going back to Arkham, Egghead.

Egghead (Mournfully):
I'm egg-cited.

Batwoman:
Enough puns!

Renee:
Egghead, I'm arresting you for attempted theft. You can shut up now.

Egghead:
I egg-pected this.

Renee cuffs Egghead's wrists.

Renee:
Go put the eggs back where they are, Batwoman.

Batwoman:
Anything you want, as long as I can't hear him.

Renee gives her the eggs and Batwoman returns to put them in the opened cabinet. Renee takes Egghead in her police car. Batwoman comes back outside.

Batwoman:
Just make sure his head doesn't crack.

Renee:
Don't worry Kate.

The two women kiss.

Batwoman:
Free for dinner tomorrow night?

Renee:
I'll have to clear my schedule first.

Egghead:
So you and Batwoman are together? I hope Batman doesn't have a fit of jealousy.

Batwoman:
Batman and I are cousins, and I'm a lesbian. And besides, he's married to Catwoman.

Egghead:
What a strange family. That explains why he lets you use guns.

Batwoman:
I have my own rules.

Renee pulls up the window.

Renee:
Alright, let's go.

She drives off with him. Batwoman watches them leave, then enters an alleyway, gets on her motorcycle and rides off.

The End
