October 22, 20XX, Day 51/365

(My POV)

It's been about a month since all of Team CFVY became my sparring partners. For Coco, she helps me counter ranged enemies...considering she has a Gatling Gun in her briefcase. She's also a pretty good tactician, however that is one of the requirements of being a good leader. But now...I'm officially Coco's shopping buddy, also known as "You carry my shit, buddy"...I wouldn't mind this but this happens FOR HOURS!

And it doesn't help when she's mostly gawking at the girls! And oh boy does she shop A LOT. For example, take everything you heard about how a teenager blows through his or her check...and multiply it by twenty. That is what she's like when she shops! She call's it a "Shopping Habit" rather than a shopping problem. But if you spend more money on clothing rather than bullets or dust...then you have a problem

Then, there's Fox. When you get to know him, he's a pretty cool and fun guy. He mostly helps me with hand-to-hand combat, considering I have a gauntlet. He's also helping me learn how to sense aura when Professor Goodwitch isn't around. He has basically used it for almost all of his life, so to him it's second nature. I've also become his new reading partner, considering I can't watch any show's I watch back on Earth, so it's a fun way to pass the time. Heck, we even go to Beacon's bookclub!

But despite him being able to read Braille, he says he finishes books a lot faster when someone reads it to him...kind of like how my mom used to...

.

.

.

Getting back on track, ever since my remark, I've been noticing he's been making a lot of blind jokes, so that's a huge relief. Currently, we're trying to figure out what to do during April Fools, which happens to be Fox's favourite holiday

As for Velvet, thee isn't a lot to say about her. But it turns out, she's actually pretty sassy around me and her teammates. But I guess she loses that when meeting new people. I mainly help her with her photography...which means she takes a picture and then asks me if it looks good or not. She mainly takes pictures of other people's weapons to add to her own

All that I know is that her weapon uses Hard-Light Dust...which is the most expensive Dust in the whole world. But just like Fox, she helps me with hand-to-hand. But in exchange...I have to teach her how to use my gauntlet blade. I've been basically telling her that my weapon, is just a normal weapon, and she would be better off without it. But she insists that I'm hiding a second function to my sword

I think I am, but I don't know it yet...but she doesn't believe me. But it turns out, the gauntlet is made out out of indestructible metal, and the blade in the gauntlet can cut through steel with ease. It's probably because of the enchantments placed on the weapon. Also...I believe I now know how this thing works

And the key, is the gem in the gauntlet. As explained, the gem in the gauntlet tends to glows every ten seconds. This glow probably indicates that it's powering up an enchantment or in the Emerald Forests case, increased my physical strength which would explain the Ursa Major

But considering my body isn't used to that much power, the bones in my arm broke very easily. Which bring us to Yatsuhashi, who helps my technique with the sword. It's not like I'm bad with a sword, but my blade is built in the gauntlet, meaning I need to learn a different sword style. Not only that, he's had years of training when it comes to swinging a sword...and I only had almost two months of training

So he's teaching me a new technique that is unique to gauntlet blades and even how to deflect bullets. And I've officially become his meditating partner, so we have to venture out to Beacon Cliffs, to the deepest parts of Forever Fall...and to this day, I still find it boring as hell

But I HAVE to take it! I mean, Ozpin told me that my weapons potential can be unlocked through strong emotions...so I guess this might be a stepping stone to achieve that

Grimm Studies

And, considering it's getting close to Halloween, I might as well tell you some of the Grimm that is more...terrifying than vicious. I mean sure, all the Grimm are terrifying in their own right, but these ones take the cake

First, there's the Chill, another possession-type Grimm. But the thing is...no one knows that much about it, not even what it looks like. What they do know is that unlike the Geist, the Chill is capable of possessing both Humans and Faunus, hopping from host-to-host through touch. But the Chill can't control a body more than a few minutes, they also can't speak and only repeat their victim's last words

But after being possessed, most victims of the Chill dies once it leaves their body, but there are certain tools that can be used to save their lives. But there is a fairy tale where a Chill possesses a little girl named Poppy and proceeds to slaughter an entire village. But it can only possess a body for a few minutes...so it would be impossible for them to slaughter an entire village, unless it jumps between hosts...then again, I don't know what to believe in anymore

But the real threat besides the Grimm, is suspicion and mistrust. One by one, people began to turn onto each other...until there is nothing left...kind of what happened to me

Next, we have is the Apathy, one of the more humanoid-like Grimm on the face of Remnant and tend to travel in packs. But the thing is, the Apathy aren't fast, they aren't strong or vicious like other Grimm. But their armour is capable of withstanding sniper bullets. But what makes them dangerous is their screech! Whenever the screech, they drain their will! A single Apathy's screech is not as powerful and it will take longer to drain someones willpower, but an entire pack of them is.

Repeated attacks of these screeches will weaken a target to the point of falling asleep, even in combat. But they can also drain a persons willpower from range, which has caused the downfall of many villages without even attacking them. But what's scary about them is that it makes you give up on everything, your life, your goals...pretty much everything...it's a horrible way to kick the bucket

And last, we have is the Arachnoid which brings the saying "small but mighty". The Arachnoid is one of the more smaller species of Grimm that resembles that of normal spiders. But this Spider-Grimm can cause their prey to hallucinate a reflection of their thoughts and fears, but there have been some reports of them..."speaking", probably just them hallucinating

But like normal spiders, the best way to deal with them is to crush them...if you can figure out that a spider is causing it in the first place

History

Now, let's move onto History! This time, it's about the Faunus Rights Revolution, or the Faunus War as some people call it...what is with all of these wars? I mean seriously, and only three years after the Great War!

But unlike the Great War, which started because people don't know the meaning of the word "sharing", the Faunus War started because of social and cultural ideas...or to put it in simpler terms, humanity was a racist asshole back then and are still now!

But, it's not that bad anymore, and they have equal rights, so that's at least something. This whole thing started when all the human's of the world wanted to shove and cram every Faunus onto a tiny island called Menagerie, and to countermand rights, the Faunus earned in their participation in the Great War

Not much is really known what happened between the events of the war, but there was a turning point during it's third and final year during the Battle of Fort Castle. General Lagune, an inexperienced leader in the Human army, attempted to ambush the Faunus in their sleep

But what didn't come to his mind, was that fact that the Faunus had night-vision. They used their enhanced senses to their advantage and defeated General Lagune and his army, despite him having the numbers. But they would've been outnumbered if it wasn't for not one, but two Sacred Arrays

One of them was the Blue Dragon King's Gauntlet...but the other was unknown. But rumours have said that one of the Faunus troops had Oblivion Creator, a Sacred Array that can create any monster that the user desires, that would explain the number difference

But after the war, the Faunus got equal rights, but were still discriminated among most of the human population. So soon after, the White Fang was founded by Ghira Belladonna...yes as in father of Blake Belladonna, for the purpose of acting as a symbol and unity between Humans and Faunus...well...used to

Ghira Belladonna stepped down and Sienna Kahn took his place as high leader of the White Fang. Their peaceful protests began to turn into organized attacks, they started to set fire to shops that wouldn't serve them, and even began robbing SDC shipments from trains and other shipments.

But the worst part was...it was working, the Faunus began to be treated fairly, but not out of respect...but out of fear. Some Faunus do want to fight for equal rights...but others just want to watch humans burn

Beacon Academy, Beacon Tower (My POV)

Right now, I'm heading towards Ozpin's office for some sort of special training for me. But henever he say's "special", it usually means something he'll enjoy watching while I suffer

I shook my head as the doors opened to Ozpin's office "What does the wonderful wizard of Oz want with me now!?"

I may have told him about an old movie I watched

"Was that an insult?" Ozpin asked

"The last thing I want to do is insult you. But it IS on the list" i said

Ozpin chuckled "Sometimes, I'd like to think I rubbed off on you"

I scoffed "As if!"

"Have a seat." He greeted me as he sat down at his desk.

I sighed as I sat down "What kind of torture are you going to put me through now!?" I asked. he was about to respond before I cut him off "Wait, you're gonna launch me back into the Emerald Forest to work on my landing strategy? Oh no wait, you're gonna throw me into the Emerald Forest for an entire week, telling me to live off of nothing but the fat of the land!?"

Ozpin put a hand on his chin "Actually, that isn't a bad idea"

.

.

WHY ARE YOU GIVING HIM IDEAS YOU DUMB SHIT?!

Noticing my expression, Ozpin chuckled as he held his palm up in reassurance "I'm kidding. Anyhow, neither of those are the reason why I called you here today" He said, as he placed his cocoa mug down "The reason why I called you here is because of your performance in combat."

I sighed "It's only been two months, Ozpin. I'm working on it!"

No, you're actually doing better than I thought. Your performance in both your technique with the sword and hand-to-hand combat has improved immensely over the past two months you've been staying here." Ozpin corrected.

.

.

"Oh! Well, then what's wrong with my performance?" I asked.

"It's too good." He said.

.

.

"That...doesn't make any sense" I said

"You don't know how to hold back your strength; you go in using all of your strengths and reserves right at the beginning of the fight." He tried to clarify.

"Well, I tend to end things as soon as possible, what's wrong with that?" I asked

"Let me put it this way. What if you're fighting a swarm of Grimm and you kill the first wave with all of the energy you had in you. When suddenly, another wave of Grimm even stronger than the last comes. What will you do? You used up all of your energy fighting the first wave. How will you defend against the next wave when you used up all your energy?" He asked with one of his eyebrows raised.

"Hmm." I thought about it for a moment, trying to come up with a response."I wing it?" I said with a shrug.

Ozpin simply chuckled and shook his head "You will be eaten alive by whatever Grimm decides to make you its snack."

"Okay, so how are you going to fix this problem?" I asked, as he pulled out a slip from under his desk. I unfolded the piece of paper "Remington's Fighting Tornament?"

"Fighters from all across Vale will be participating in the tournament" Ozpin said "I want you to go to the address labeled on the flyer and participate"

"How is this going to hold back my strength?" I asked

"During the tournament, you will fight a number of different combatants, most of which will not have their auras unlocked yet." Ozpin said

"Oh..." I said

"So, if you don't hold back against your opponents...well, best scenario, you'll given them a few broken bones" Ozpin said

"And...what's the worst case scenario?" I asled

"You'll kill them" Ozpin said

.

.

Yeah...I'm not...ready to...y'know

"The tournament begins at 10:00. I would go get ready to participate if I were you." Ozpin said as he took a sip from his coffee mug.

"Y-Yeah." I said as I walked out of his office

(Timeskip) The City Of Vale, Downtown Vale (My POV)

Okay...okay, Christian. All you have to do is fight in the tournament...without killing anyone

I was trying to mentally prepare myself as I walked in the direction of the Arena...well...I think building is probably the more correct term to use. But as I walked in, I felt my scroll rumble. I glanced down as pulled my scroll from my pocket, to see that I got a message from Neo "Hey, meet me at this new ice cream parlour, I need someone to go with."

I shooky my head playfully, knowing what she meant "As in, you need someone to pay for it"

"Tomato tomato." Neo said.

"Sorry, I can't today. I'm busy." I texted back

"Aw, what could possibly be more important than hanging out with little old me? ;)" She texted back

"Glad to see that she's just as humble as ever" I muttered "Well, I'm going to participate in a fighting tournament, so that's gonna take up most of my time." I texted her

"The one that's in downtown Vale?" She asked.

"Yeah, that one. Maybe next weekend I'll be able to go with you." I said

"Hmm, okay, I'll go with you then, after that we can go and get ice cream." She suggested.

"Yeah, that could work, I'll meet you outside the arena." I said.

"It's a deal. I'll see you in a bit." She texted as I closed my scroll and went to sit on a nearby bench to wait for her. All of a sudden, a white flash of light appeared in front of me.

"SHIT!" I yelped at the sudden flash of light, falling off of the bench I was sitting on. I then look up to see Neo giggling down at me "You could've warned me at least!"

Neo pulled out her scroll "I could have, but where's the fun in that?"

"...I hate you." I said.

She then put her hand on top of her chest, giving a fake look of offense. She started to giggle again. "So, have you actually entered the tournament yet?" She asked.

"No, I was waiting for you to get here" I said as I got up from the ground "I still have five miuntes

"Well, here I am. What are we waiting for? I want to see you kick some ass." She said as she began to push me towards the building.

"Okay! Okay! You don't have to shove me! I said as she began to shove me towards the entrance of the warehouse. As we entered, we could hear a lot of voices from the other side that consisted of yelling and cheering "Is this the place?" I asked her. All of a sudden, the doors opened. A guy then flew out of the building and hit the road in front of the warehouse.

"That's enough alcohol for you!" A man shouted from the other side of the door said. The man behind the door was a tall man who had clean brown hair and a curly brown mustache. He wore a white shirt that was held up by red suspenders. He also wore a pair of black dress pants and black dress shoes.

"Aw...come one mwan! One more shot never hurt anyone." The man on the road said with a slight slur in his voice.

"I said-" He said as he pulled out his Model 870 Express Tactical Shotgun from his back "Get. Out!" He yelled as he pointed his shotgun at the guy on the road and fired near his legs. The man then shuffled to his feet and scurried away from the building and into a nearby alleyway.

"Yeah, I think we're in the right place." Neo said to me.

"Well, that takes care of that." The man said as put down his shotgun, then looks over in out direction. "Hello there, anything I can do for you?" He asked...politely...considering her almost shot a drnk man in his jewels

"Is this the place?" I asked him as I pulled out the flyer.

He looked at the flyer and nodded. "Yeah, this is the place. You and your girlfriend gonna watch some fights tonight?" He asked.

Neo started to laugh at my reaction.

"What?! No! She's not my girlfriend!" I said.

"What?! I'm not? But I thought we had something special." She said, wiping away a fake tear

"Not helping!" I said, causing her to laugh harder

"Oh, well then what are you here for kid?" The man said.

"I'm here to compete." I said.

.

.

After a few moments of silence, he began to laugh and slapped me on the back. "Well then, why didn't you say so sooner? Come on in, we're about to start!" He told us as he led us both inside the building "By the way, the name's Remington." He introduced.

"Hi, the name's Christian, and that's Neo." I said, pointing my thumb at Neo.

"Well, hi there ma'am. I hope you'll enjoy your time here." He said to her. She simply nodded at him "Well then, let me show you to the changing rooms. Oh, here, you'll have to put these on." He said as he handed me a white sleeveless shirt and a pair of black sweat pants. "The changing rooms are right over there. Put these on and be prepared to enter the ring." He instructed as he walked off in the direction of the bar.

"Well...wish me luck." I said to Neo.

"Meh, I doubt you'll need it." She said with a shrug.

"Probably not." I said as I walked towards the changing rooms.

(Timeskip) Remington's Fighting Tournament (My POV)

After I finished changing, I walked towards the arena where there were a bunch of people in front of it, presumably other fighters that are participating in the tournament. I glanced up to the right of me, where I saw Remingotn walk up to the microphone "Hello, everyone! I am pleased to welcome each and every one of you to Remington's Fighting Tournament!" He said into the microphone. Everyone in the crowd from the stands began to cheer in excitement.

"Now before we start, there are a few rules you will have to comply with, or else you will be disqualified." He said "Rule Number One, if someone yells stop, someone goes limp or taps out, then the fight is over. Rule Number Two, fight's will go on as long as they have to. Rule Number Three, if a fighter is caught with a weapon of any sort throughout the fight, then they will be disqualified and banned from any future tournaments."

Looks like I need to be careful...I need to make sure my gauntlet doesn't pop out of my arm like that. And looks like these rules to a fight club...all that missing is the rule of "there is no fight club"

"That's all for the rules. Now I'm sure you all want to see some fights!" He excitedly yelled into the microphone. The crowd roared in agreement. "That's what I like to hear! Now let's see who will be fighting first." He said as he pulled out his scroll.

"The first two contenders will be: Aiden vs Christian." He announced.

"Well, here goes nothing" I muttered as I did a few stretches and climbed into the ring.

The man named Aiden was a tall, muscular man with pale skin and brown hair. He wore a green sleeveless shirt and black sweatpants. "Ha! I didn't know they let little kids enter. I thought this was supposed to be the best fighting tournament around!" He taunted.

Yeah, this won't take long at all.

"Alright fighters! Are you ready?" Remington asked into the microphone.

"Yeah, start the match already, this shouldn't even be a challenge." He said

I rolled my eyes and nodded. I looked over to one of the stand's to see Neo waving a flag that said "GO CHRISTIAN! :)" written on it...Where the hell was she keeping that?

.

.

.

Yeah...I'd rather not know

"Alright fighters! BEGIN!" Remington said as he rung the bell.

Aiden then began to circle me "Alright kid, how bout I show you how a real man fi-!" He didn't even have time to finish his sentence as I punched him in the face. He stumbled back a bit before landing on the railing of the ring.

"So...are you gonna fight like a bitch or fight like a man?" I said with a smirk

"You're gonna pay for that!" He yelled, charging at me again.

I duck under another one of his punches. He then tries to go in for a kick, only for me to simply sidestep out of the started to throw a series of punches and kicks, only for me to simply dodge or block each oncoming attack.

Wow, this guy is REALLY predictable, and he calls himself a fighter? Hmm, maybe I can have a little fun with this.

I rolled out of the way of his attacks and to the other side of the ring.

"Get back here!" He yelled as began to charge at me. He tried to go in for another punch, only for me to dodge it at the last moment. As he stumbled forward, I ended behind him

I've always wanted to say this "Omae Wa Mou Shindeiru" I said

"What?" He asked. Bu before he could question it, I took the opportunity to unch him across the jaw, knocking him out

Terrible movie...but I love that meme! Wish he said "Nani" though...then again, I highly doubt anyone here speaks Japanese

"That's one victory for Christian, everyone!" Remington said into the mic. The crowd erupted into applause "But it look's like the fight isn't over for Christian!"

.

.

.

"Wait...what?" I asked in confusion

"Well, you see here, in Remington's Fighting Tournament, anyone can join the fight." He explained. As soon as he said that, five other guys began to climb into the arena, each one had a look of anticipation

"Well, alright then." I said, cracking my knuckles.

Maybe this will be a little bit challenging.

I reeled my fist back in preparation to fight as all five guys began to run towards me.

(20 Minutes Later)

To my surprise, it wasn't. Most of the guys I fought when down within the first few hits...and that is because none of them had their aura unlocked. But, I wasn't looking for a challenge, Ozpin sent me here because I need to leanr how to hold back in a fight. I mean sure, I haven't killed anyone...yet, so that's good. As for broken bones...one out of two isn't that bad...right? I mean sure, I don't do it on purpose, I just go a bit overboard

The door to the room that I was resting in opened, and a man wearing a white tuxedo and black sunglasses walks in "Hey, you're up." The man in the suit said.

I nodded as I got back up. But as I began to walk towards the ring, the man grabbed me by the shoulder "Be careful with this one. I saw his last match, you won't win as easily as your last match." He warned me before letting go of my shoulder.

"Thanks for the tip...but I think I'll be fine" I said as I began walking towards the ring

Actually...this is what I need

"Ladies and gentlemen! Boys and girls! Welcome to the final round of Remington's Fighting Tournament! Unfortunately, the last two fighters who entered the ring were able to get rid or scare off the remaining competitor's." Remington said.

Well...that was quick...wonder who the other guy is

"But to make up for the lack of matches, we have probably the most intense fight we will have tonight!" Remington announced. There was sudden applause coming from the crowd.

Okay, now I'm curious.

"For our first fighter, he's mouthy, he's hot-headed, he's clever, but most importantly, he's a master in the making! Give it up for Christian!" Remington announced. The crowd then began to cheer and chant my name.

Heh, I could get used to this sort of attention.

I waved to the crowd and climbed into the arena.

I wonder who my opponent is. He definitely has to be tough, he was able to do what I did during my fight.

"And for our second fighter, he's carefree, he's a thrill seeker, but don't let him fool you, he's level headed and serious in a fight." Remington said.

Hmm, carefree, thrill seeker, but also level-headed and serious. If you couldn't already tell, I was trying to see if I could remember anyone from the show who was like that.

"Ladies and gentlemen, give it up for-!" As he was announcing the other fighter, a well-built boy began to climb into the ring. He had pale skin, gray eyes, and gray hair. He wore a gray sleeveless shirt and black sweatpants.

"Mercury!" Remington announced. The crowd cheered and chanted Mercury's name.

.

.

.

.

...Fuck...me. I mean...seriously?! I mean seriously?! First Neo, then Mercury?! Who's next? Emerald?

"Alright, fighters! Are! You! Ready?!" Remington said.

...No...

Mercury nodded at Remington

Remington turned towards me "Hey, Christian, are you ready?" Remington asked away from the microphone. Reluctantly, I nodded my head as I gulped

"Alright, fighters! Begin!" Remington said, ringing the bell to signal the beginning of the fight.

Mercury and I began to circle on another, waiting for the other side to make a move. I begin to walk slowly towards Mercury, and he started to walk towards cautiously. Mercury then charges at me, going for a kick to my head. I was barely able roll under it. Okay Brandon, think, Mercury's fighting style exclusively consists of kick's. On the plus side, he doesn't have his weapon to do that wind thing he did in Volume 3. On the downside, he-.

My thoughts were interrupted by Mercury moving in for another attack. Not able to dodge this one, I quickly extend my arm upward to block the kick

...Yep, he still has his metal prosthetics...and god damn does it hurt!

I stumbled towards the edge of the railing, though Mercury wasted no time to go in for another kick. I roll under him, making my way to the other side of the ring to strategize. Okay, so blocking his kicks is out of the question.

I quickly rubbed the area where Mercury hit me.

I need to try and dodge each of his attack's.

As I stood up, Mercury started to charge towards me. He tried to kick me, but I push his leg towards the side to dodge his attack before going in for the offensive. I first uppercut his chin, then dig my elbow into his abdomen. He stumbles back a bit before regaining his composure and going in for the attack again.

He goes in to kick me with his right leg, only for me to move left slightly and follow up with one of my own roundhouse kicks. He stumbles back into the railing. He uses the rubber railing to launch himself towards me and kick me with both his legs, sending me flying. He turns around and dusts himself off.

Seeing an opportunity, I grabbed onto the rubber railing, launching myself towards Mercury, who was not on his guard. I slammed my entire weight onto Mercury, sending him flying across the ring.

He got up and gave me a smirk. I smirked back at him, getting ready to fight again. At first, I was very nervous to fight someone who basically took on Coco and Yatsuhashi at the same time and didn't even get a scratch. But now, I felt something that I never thought I would feel towards the person who basically helped usher the Fall of Beacon. Respect, and from the look in his eyes, he felt the same way. We both charge at each other, but before we could start our attack, some of the guys that we beat before tackled me onto the ring's floor.

"What the-!?" I said in surprise, as I kicked the guy off of me and threw him out of the arena. Just as I did that, more guys that we beat before began to climb into the ring.

"Okay...what the hell is-!?" I tired to say

Remington cut me off "Well, would you look at this! It seems that our former competitors from before are here for some payback!" Remington said. Mercury and I were then forced to move to the center of the ring.

"So...temporary truce? Seems these assholes didn't learn their lesson the first time" I said

Mercury nodded "Yeah, you take the twenty on your side, and I'll take the twenty on mine."

"Oh, screw you! I'll take twenty-one!" I boasted

.

.

Mercury chuckled "I like you" He said as he charged towards the men on his side

"Is this gonna be a recurring thing every time I run into an antagonist for whatever reason?" I muttered, as the men charged at me, though I was able to beat them down one by one easily through a series of punches and kicks.

As I was beating the guy in front of me, I felt another guy latch onto my back "Hey, Merc!" I yelled. He then turned towards me "Catch!" I yelled as I threw the guy off me and sent him flying towards Mercury.

Mercury then kicked the guy straight in the face, sending him crashing onto one of the tables around the ring. This went on for a few minutes before we beat the last two guys in the ring.

"Well?! Anyone else wanna go at it?!" I yelled at the crowd in between breaths. No one got up to go to the ring "Thank you, now, where were we?" I said as I turned towards Mercury.

We then both charged at each other. He goes in for some kicks. I was able to dodge the first one, but due to exhausting my energy against the men from before, I wasn't able to dodge the other kicks. He sent me flying out of the arena with one final kick.

"And the winner is Mercury!" Remington announced to the crowd.

I laid on the ground, thinking back on what Ozpin said. 'Let me put it this way, what if you're fighting a swarm of Grimm, you kill the first wave with all of the energy you had in you, when suddenly. Another wave of Grimm even stronger than the last comes. What will you do? You used up all of your energy fighting the first wave. How will you defend against the next wave when you used up all your energy?' I remembered him saying.

I then started to chuckle at this, considering that was the exact reason I lost in the first place. I see Mercury walking over to me, extending his hand out. "That was a fun fight." He said as he pulled me up.

"Yeah." I replied as I got up off of the ground.

"Let's have a rematch some time, without interference." He offered.

"Yeah, I'd like that. But, I won't lose next time." I said to him.

"Yeah, whatever you say." He said with a slight chuckle.

"Soooo... you want a drink?" I asked him.

"Yeah, by the way, I'm Mercury, Mercury Black." He formally introduced as we walked towards the bar area.

"The name's Christian, Christian Pendragon." I said.

(Timeskip)

As we sat down to have a drink, we started to talk about different things in life. Comic books, stories, movies, etc.

"And so she tells me to tell her what a hooker was." I said as I started to tell him one of my stories from back on Earth "And I'm like "Okay, okay, no need to get your panties twisted. I then told her: "Lisa, you want to know what a hooker is?" She says yes and then I tell her "Those are your sister's friends." I said.

Mercury bursts into a laughing fit "Did you really say that?" He said in between laughs.

"Yeah, and every time her friends came over, she was like "The hookers are here." Mercury, at this point, is holding his sides from laughing too hard.

"Hey! Christian! Mercury!" We hear Remington call out. We turn to see him walking towards us with our things "Here's your stuff." He said as he put our stuff on the counter of the bar.

"Oh, I got an offer for ya." He said as he held out a flyer.

"Remington's Grand Tournament?" I read out loud.

"Yeah, it's pretty similar to this one, only this time, you get to use your weapons. The Tournament is split into two categories; PvP, which is where two people fight it out, and then there is PvE, where you have to survive waves of Grimm in order to pass on to the next round. You'll need a partner for the last one." He explained.

"Remington." Mercury said as he took a swig from his cola. "You had me at tournament."

"Well, Christian, what do you say?" Mercury asked, his hand extended outwards.

"Hmm."

.

.

.

'Okay, maybe I might be able to change his mind about siding with Cinder, but that's even more unlikely than Neo. Speaking of which, where is she?' I thought.

"Hey, Christian!" Mercury said, snapping me back to reality.

"So? What do you say? You. Me. Grand Tournament." He said.

Well, I'm already trying to change Neo. Why not Mercury while I'm at it.

"Yeah, you got yourself a deal." I agreed, shaking his hand.

"Cool. Here, let me give you my scroll number, we'll talk about it more." He said as he got out his scroll. I registered his number into my list of contacts.

"Alright, now as much as I would like to stay here and listen to you, I gotta go, my boss wants me back at the base." He said as he took his stuff and began to walk out of the building.

"See ya." He said as he walked out. I then take out my scroll to see if Neo had left me a message for me. Sure enough, she did.

"Hey Christian, I have to leave earlier than expected, my uncle wanted me home early." I read.

"Hmm, kinda glad she left before the fight between and Mercury." I said "What time is it anyway?" I asked myself as I looked at the time on my scroll.
