R&R longer note at the end

The blonde's legs were on fire as she pushed herself to do another lap around the track, she had watched the other recruits lazing around making her feel angry. This was the opportunity of a life time and these worthless lazy people were just going to throw it away like that? Her thoughts turned to Jessie, the brunette who didn't even want to be here, she had to go but she was stubborn.

"Recruit Elena" came a deep voice as she finished another lap stopping she panted her lungs burning, sweat dripping from her forehead as she looked at who had called her name. She nearly tripped over her own tired feet as her eyes landed on her superior, his sunglasses glinted in the sunlight as he looked at her.

"Hit the showers and get dressed in casuals" Rude said as he turned "Head to the landing pad when you're done". Elena stood there nodding as she saw Rude walk away, grabbing her towel and water bottle she took a long draught before drying her face heading back. She wasn't sure what was happening but if her superior personally came to get her then it could only be something very important, she smirked as she pushed the doors open headed for the showers, her hard work was finally paying off she would use this opportunity to get closer to them and hopefully force out some more of her competition.

Elena fixed her bangs as she made her way to the landing pad, she had put on her white t-shirt and black hoodie, her black running shoes tapped against the metal stairs as she reached the landing pad covering her face against the wind as she climbed into the black company helicopter. Her eyes fell on her superior his usual suit had been changed with a white shirt covered by a navy blue blazer jacket with denim jeans to match.

The helicopter took off as they headed for their destination, Elena sat quietly not sure what to say her hands fidgeted in her lap, she had confidence in her ability but being this close with her superior was a situation she had never planned for.

"This is your first time outside the facility correct?" her eyes shot up as she looked over at Rude caught off by the sudden question.

"Y-yes sir" She said her voice breaking a little, she took a deep breath trying to calm herself down "I didn't think recruits like myself were allowed to leave the facility".

"You are under special circumstances" Rude replied "It also applies if you have done well enough to earn permission to come on free days". Elena looked over, she had never considered asking for permission to leave her free days had always been spent for solo training. She looked out the window as the helicopter landed on the outskirts of Sector Seven, Rude unhooked his seat belt as he hopped out Elena following behind.

"I have some business to take care of here" Rude said as the helicopter took off "Take this time to wonder around and learn the layout of this area, however do not follow me or interact with me at all. Today you're going to put your training to the test, blend in with the locals". Elena nodded as Rude walked away she waited a few moments before she took the same path taking a turn into a side alleyway, she remembered her training, blending in was easy for her she had always been top of her class today however was the true test of her ability.

Tifa wiped down the tables in the bar as her mind wondered back to the time she had spent with Jessie she could only hope her brunette lover had managed to sneak back safely, she looked up as the doors opened smiling as a blonde haired girl walked in closing the door behind her.

"Oh sorry" She said seeing Tifa wiping the tables "I thought you were open, if you're not I can come back".

"Don't worry we're open" Tifa said as she welcomed the girl in "Have a seat at the bar I'll be right with you". The girl smiled as she headed to the bar sitting down as she rested her arms on the hard wood, Tifa folded up the cloth as she headed behind the bar placing the cloth by the sink.

"So what can I get you?" Tifa asked as she turned getting a better look at the blonde, the barmaid liked to believe she was well informed after seeing the same faces day in and day out she would recognise a new person right away, this girl was someone she had never seen or met before.

"I'll have a glass of lemonade please?" The blonde said her voice soft and calming, Tifa smiled as she turned around leaning up for a glass behind her the blonde couldn't help but stare, she smirked a little as she saw what her brunette roommate saw in the woman before her.

"Here you are" Tifa said as she placed the drink in front of her "That'll be five gil please". The blonde smiled as she rummaged through her pocket taking out five gil placing it on the bar, Tifa smiled as she slid the money off placing it in the till behind her.

"This is a nice place" the girl said as she sipped her drink looking around "Do you own it?"

"That's right" Tifa replied "It was a little run down when I bought it but with the help of a few friends and my own hard work we managed to fix it up into what you see today". The girl smiled as she listened wondering if one of these people could potentially be her roommate but if that was the case, who would be the other people?

"So what's your name?" Tifa asked as she absentmindedly wiped a glass "I haven't seen you around here before".

"Tina" The girl lied, there was no way she could give her real name "I'm from Sector Five, I got off the train too early and ended up here". Elena avoided eye contact as the other woman looked at her, she seemed to be trying to detect a lie good luck the blonde thought as she remembered lying to an expert and getting a perfect score.

"Were did you plan on getting off?" Tifa asked catching the blonde unaware, did this woman know she'd lied? Was she just making casual conversation?

"Sector Ten" She said keeping to the lie hoping she hadn't been found out "I'm planning on visiting a friend there". Before Tifa could reply the door swung open as a tall man in the red cape walked in, she noted his strange attire, his interaction with the barmaid, was this also one of that pest's friends? She looked up at the clock on the wall, time to go she thought any longer and they might become suspicious.

"Thank you for the drink" Tina said smiling as she finished her lemonade hopping up "I'd best go before I miss my train". She waved politely as she quickly made her way out almost knocking over a strangely dressed girl, after apologizing she quickly made her way back to the helipad.

"Five minutes early" Rude said as Elena approached "Not bad timing, I assume you have learned the layout well enough now?" Elena nodded deciding to keep her interaction with the barmaid to herself, she climbed into the helicopter as it took off flying high above the slums. The look on the woman's face stuck in her mind, had she known it was a lie? Was this a set up by Rude? So many questions filled her mind as she felt frustrated, she hadn't expected this to be easy but she couldn't take too long if she wanted rid of Jessie she would need to spend her free day's down here as well.

There was no way she would let that insufferable girl join this unit over her, she was more than qualified to win by her grades but this was the Turks, the motto plastered everywhere had always read 'win by any means' she was just doing as they said.

I know, its a Elena heavy chapter but she is trying to eliminate our brunette so it makes sense that we have a chapter to show off her sneaky exploits and trust me we haven't seen the last of our sneaky blonde's trickery. Also just wanted to say I had to look up how many sectors there were so thanks to google I was able to make Elena's lie that much more believable, anyway look forward to the next chapter hopefully it won't take as long to come out
