Chapter 3: Wedding Day

It's finally the morning of the Wedding day. Albert and Sylvia tell their families, "We are going out to patrol for a couple of hours we plan to be at the Indian Nation around 1pm. The ceremony will start at 6pm."

Charles Ingalls says, "Sounds good son we can also be there around 1pm. We will have Rev. Alden and his wife with us."

Caroline Ingalls mentions, "Sylvia, Laura and I will put your wedding dress in a protective covering so it won't get wrinkled on our trip out to the Indian Nation and also Albert's tux."

Sylvia says, "Thank you," to her mother in law.

Albert also thanks his Ma, "Thanks Ma," and then says to the whole family, "Don't forget the Chief will have some of his Braves at the border of the Indian Nation to escort you all in."

As Albert and Sylvia fly off they say to their families we will see you all around 1pm."

The Ingalls, Wilders and Hector Webb wave and says back, "See you at 1pm."

As Albert and Sylvia are flying and the day goes on they notice a cry for help. Down below is a little girl drowning after falling into a deep body of water. The child's mother has no way to get to her little girl to save her. Sylvia looks down and says to Albert, "LOOK!" Sylvia than flies down lands in the water and pulls the little girl out and takes her to her mother.

The little girl runs up to her Ma, "Ma, Ma the Heavenly Heroine saved me from drowning."

The mother takes her little girl into her arms and then turns to Syl and Al who just landed in front of them, "Thank you, Thank you so much!"

Syl and Al say, "You're welcome Ma'am," and then fly off.

As Albert and Sylvia continue to fly through the clouds they stop in mid-air and look into each other's eyes. Albert says to Sylvia, "My love, my Heavenly wife and soon to be also my Earthly wife it's 12:45pm. We should head toward the Indian Nation."

Sylvia responds with a smile, "Yes my Heavenly husband and soon to be also my Earthly husband let's go."

They head towards the Indian Nation and make a landing right at 1pm. The Braves are also escorting the Alden's, the Wilders and Ingalls into the Indian Camp.

Caroline Ingalls and Laura Wilder go up to Al and Syl and they say, "Syl, we have your wedding dress we will help you get ready. We shouldn't let Al see you in your dress before the ceremony."

Charles Ingalls and Hector Webb says to Al, "We have your tux and we'll help you get ready. Don't let Syl see you in it before she walks down the aisle "

The Chief Indian shows them to two different teepees to get ready in. Laura Wilder and Caroline Ingalls both stay to their children, "Rose and Jenny Wilder and Carrie and Grace Ingalls you kids play nicely with the Indian children."

The children all answer in unison, "We will Ma."

Al and Syl are both in their separate teepees getting ready for their Earthly wedding as Reverend Alden and his wife along with Almanzo are helping with the preparations of a meal after the ceremony.

A couple hours pass it's now 6pm sharp the Wedding ceremony is about to begin and Al is standing in front of a crowd of Indians and his family with his tux on. Pastor Anthony Felcher is standing next to him.

Syl is coming down the aisle arm in arm with her father Hector Webb as Mrs. Felcher is playing the Wedding match on a small travel size keyboard.

Al turns and looks at his bride Syl. She looks beautiful and radiant in her Wedding dress. Her hair is upwards and she's wearing a sunflower Tierra on her forehead. Laura is holding her "train" and she is followed by Caroline and a few Indian women. A couple of the women are carrying clothing and Indian jewelry possibly for the Indian ceremony of the wedding.

Carrie, Grace, Rose and Jenny are standing on the other side watching and smiling.

Syl sees her groom and she smiles even brighter! She couldn't believe she is finally marrying her Al.

Meanwhile up in the clouds of Heaven. God and some of his members such as St. Peter, Aylissa, May Webb who is crying tears of joy seeing her daughter getting married even Jack the dog is barking happily as they watch the wedding ceremony from God's cloud tv.

Syl and Hector arrive at Pastor Felcher. Then Pastor Felcher asks, "Who gives this women in Holy matrimony?"

Hector Webb looks up at the Pastor and says, "I do as her Pa." Then Mr. Webb kisses her daughter on the cheek and hands her to Al. Hector than smiles at Al and his daughter and moves to the side.

Pastor Felcher begins, "Dearly beloved we are gathered here today to join this man and this woman in the Holy Bond of matrimony. If anybody thinks this marriage should not take place let them speak now or forever hold their peace."

There is no objection from anyone.

"Do you Al Quinn take this woman to be your lawfully wedded wife. To have and hold for richer or poorer. In sickness and in health as long as you both shall live until death do you part?" Reverend Felcher asks.

Al looks at his beloved fiancee smiling and says, "I DO."

"Do you Syl Quinn take this man to be your lawfully wedded husband. To have and hold for richer or poorer. In sickness and in health as long as you both shall live until death do you part?" Reverend Felcher asks.

Syl looks at her fiance smiling and says, "I DO"

"Since you both have your very own wedding rings please extend both your hands with your rings and hold them," Reverend Felcher says.

Al and Syl extend their hands with their rings holding them and Reverend Felcher holds them as he holds his Bible, "Then by the power invested in me and in by the Word of God, and by our Lord Jesus Christ. I now pronounce you both man and wife," He says.

There is a small pause and than Pastor Flecher continues, "Now before, you kiss the bride Al. Our friend the Chief would like to perform their wedding ceremony," Felcher says.

The Chief of the tribe walks up and Felcher steps to the side and the Chief stands in the middle, "I and my people are grateful to these two of the sky and disciples to our god. They wanted to be sealed as well to our traditions. So shall it be! By them doing so, they are part of our tribe and will be given the respect equal to every member of our tribe! "

The Chief motions with his hand and a couple of Indian women with clothing come up. They put the clothing which looks like a shawl and and Indian feathers on Syl. And then the women put on a band with a Indian feather and Indian jewelry on Al's head and neck.

The Chief begins to chant a song while rising his hands high as he looks at the sky.

The Ingalls' family and Wilder family watch the ritual all of them smile happily.

Al and Syl are smiling happily.

The Chief finishes his song and than says, "I, as Chief of the Tribe declare you both, Al and Syl the sky people to our god sealed forever!"

Then Reverend Felcher speaks, "Al you may kiss your bride Syl."

Al and Syl smiling happily looking at each other then Al pulls up Syl's veil and both their lips meet together in a slow deep passionate kiss.

The Braves in the village howl and cheer!

The families of the Ingalls and Wilders clap.

Hector Webb smiling and crying tears of happiness.

Reverend Alden and his wife Anna are smiling.

Up in Heaven many souls are cheering. In the main cloud chamber God watches and despite his blank face He smiles. He is proud that his favorite children have finally married on Earth.

St. Peter, Aylissa, May Webb watch and have tears of joy.

"I'm proud of you both my daughter Sylvia and son in law Albert," May Webb says, "I love you both and I love you too Hector my husband."

Hector Webb somehow senses his late wife's spirit replies softly, "I love you too May, and I love you both my daughter and son in law."

The Ingalls and Wilders, The Reverends, and Hector Webb went to their assigned sleeping Teepees. The Braves and Indian citizens began to turn in as well. The Chief asked for Al and Syl to both follow him.

Al and Syl follow the Chief but before they go to far Al says to the Chief, "Chief, I have something in the Teepee where I changed into my tux that I need to get."

Al goes into the Teepee where he changed into his tux and gets his bag and then comes back out and Al and Syl continue to follow the Chief.

After a bit of walking the Chief points to a lone big Teepee it was overlooking the moon, "I choose this spot for Teepee for you so you will not be disturbed. Plus a few of my Braves will be guarding the area so nothing will enter without your and my permission," The Chief says.

"Thank you Chief," Both Al and Syl say.

The Chief then departs leaving the newly wedded couple.

Al and Syl smiling at each other walk to the Teepee. Al places his bag inside then picks up Syl to carry her over the threshold. Going inside the Teepee. As Albert places Sylvia down he says, "Sylvia Webb Ingalls and Syl Webb Quinn my Heavenly and Earthly bride I love you. This is our first night on Earth legally married according to Earth laws and I want to show my love!"

Sylvia responds, "Yes my Albert Ingalls and Al Quinn my Heavenly and Earthly groom. I want to receive your love and show you mine."

Meanwhile in Heaven God closed the cloud tv to give His children and the newly married on Earth couple their privacy, "Enjoy your evening my children," God says.

Albert and Sylvia have a night of passion and maybe the best lovemaking they have ever had. Albert rolls off of Sylvia and tightly holds her as Sylvia holds him. Both are breathing heavily.

"I...I love you Sylvia," Albert says.

"I..I love you too Albert," Sylvia says.."This is the best night of my NEW Life."

"The same here, this is the best night of my NEW life too," Albert says.

Both pull the Indian blankets over them. Give each other a deep slow kiss and the newly married couple fall into a deep sleep.

In Heaven God senses his children have fallen into slumber. He in a way smiles.
