Chapter 4: Full Moon

"I'd like you to bring a message back to the leaf."

"Understandable, Sasuke-sama." Aoba said with a slight hiss, as he gazed at his summoner before him. "What is it do you want me to tell to the leaf?"

"Tell Kakashi and Naruto that I've found this new dimension, similar to that back home where humans exist."

Nodding in understanding, the summoned snake glanced at the woods around him. "That explains why I smell a different kind of energy from the air here. It is similar to the nature chakra back at the Elemental Nations although slightly incomplete."

"Incomplete?" Sasuke questioned, quirking an eyebrow. The snake nodded as he explained, "I cannot fully explain it due to my lack of knowledge of this world but I will try my best." Sasuke nodded and patiently waited for Aoba to continue.

"I know you're already knowledgeable about this, but when you gather enough nature chakra to blend with your own, you are given access to the lost arts of Sage Mode." Sasuke nodded, remembering Naruto's specialty. "Usually, you will have to remain still for a few minutes in order to gather and fully blend the two chakras together. But with enough practice, the time needed to remain still would lessen."

"However, in this world, the time needed to remain still and gather the said chakra is greatly increased. I do not know the reasons as to why this place has a weaker chakra, but I do know just by sniffing the scent of the air, that the nature chakra here is less potent that it's supposed to be."

Sasuke frowned, as the pieces are staring to merge together in his mind. "Hn, so this aura is like a less potent version of chakra?" He questioned no one in particular before concluding, "That explains why the people from this world have limited abilities."

"Is that what this world's energy is called?" He asked, causing the Uchiha to nod.

"Earlier, I have hypothesized that this world's aura is somehow connected to chakra." He started while adapting a serious look on his face. "However, due to the lack of studies from this world about its origins, my theory fell short… But, based from what you said, it had given me more than enough evidence to confirm my theory."

Slightly Frowning, he continued. "Its origin is so simple yet I am too afraid to accept it. The answer lies above the skies." He finished, as he gazed at the broken moon.

Following his master's sight, his eyes widened at what he saw. "The moon… It's broken." He stated with a small hiss, while Sasuke merely nodded.

"Before I managed to find this world, I was on the mission to search for the Ōtsutsukis' whereabouts. I used the Amenominaka justu to transport myself across multiple dimensions and found myself here." He spoke in a calm and serious tone, as Aoba returned his gaze at him. "I initially thought that I somehow returned to the Elemental Nations but quickly found out that I am greatly mistaken."

"Looking at the broken moon and hearing you confirm my suspicions about the connection of the two energies, I've come to a grave conclusion." He paused, as he swallowed a forming lump in his throat. "The Ōtsutsukis are somewhat tied to this world and they are the origins of aura."

Aoba's eyes widened for a fraction of a second before quickly narrowing. "That is quite the troubling news, indeed. I will immediately tell this to the leaf." He said with a slight hiss, while the shinobi nodded.

"Tell them everything we've discussed tonight and that I will find a way to get back home without the use of Amenominaka, due to its unstable nature." Sasuke said, to which the snake nodded in understanding. "In the meantime, I'll study more about this world from the place I am staying in."

"I will summon you once again if I find anything new about aura or the Ōtsutsukis and I expect you to deliver it back to the leaf but only to Kakashi and Naruto." He continued in a serious tone, to which Aoba nodded once again. "Treat my message with the utmost confidentiality, the less people that know about this world, the better."

Present Time

After taking his relic and leaping across numerous tree branches, it didn't take long for Sasuke to finally reach the cliffs, signaling the success of his initiation. Ignoring the congratulatory cheers from team RWBY and JNPR for now, he walked towards Ozpin and tossed the crimson pawn towards him. The headmaster effortlessly caught it, before smiling and feigning ignorance to the displeasure evident on the teen's face.

"Congrats on passing and welcome to Beacon Academy, Mr. Uchiha. I do hope that you would find your true potential during your stay here." The headmaster said to the frowning shinobi, before taking a sip from his mug.

Trying his best to quell his once again growing anger, he turned around and walked away from the headmaster. 'You underestimate me too much, Ozpin.' He shortly thought, as his frown turned to a small smirk, all the while his cloak flutters from the wind. 'You'll learn your place soon enough.'

No matter what place he was in, Sasuke had a knack of encountering people who are either brave or foolish enough to try and push his buttons. Orochimaru and Danzo were two prime examples back at the Elemental Nations, and Ozpin here in Remnant. Needless to say, playing with the Uchiha is a perilous game, entertaining at first but fatal if he ever finds you to be a nuisance.

Just ask Orochimaru after Sasuke 'killed' him for having no more use. Unpleasant wouldn't even be enough to describe the said experience… or perhaps not. It is highly possible that the former sannin still haven't learned his lesson, after all, he just brushed off Sasuke's failed attempt in ending him, after the war.

But this is because Orochimaru is unlike any other man, he is crafty, intelligent and most importantly, very dangerous. Once a legendary sannin of Konoha, before betraying the leaf, and the former sensei of Sasuke before his supposedly 'demise'.

However, those aren't the only reasons why Sasuke considers him above any man. The true reason is that he is a snake, both figuratively and literally, who wouldn't stay dead.

The young Uchiha was fooled into thinking that he was dead for good at first, but during his battle to the death with his brother, Itachi. It was revealed that Orochimaru was still alive and well, hiding in Sasuke's cursed seal, waiting for the perfect opportunity to seize control of his body.

Fortunately for Sasuke, his futile attempt was stopped by Itachi, in which he sealed the cursed seal along with the snake sannin's body using his Susanoo's sword of totsuka. Despite this, Orochimaru still managed to survive and resurface during the fourth shinobi war.

It was at that point, he finally understood how resilient his former sensei is. His ability to survive countless attempts at his life by easily reviving himself using a new body that can host him, along with dozens of back up plans against all contingencies. He is no doubt a far greater threat than Ozpin could ever hope to be.

Sure, the Uchiha may not know of his immortality at the moment, but that doesn't change the fact that he has one fatal flaw that Sasuke will exploit. Unlike the snake sannin who would try to gather as much information possible on his target, the headmaster is the exact opposite. He likes to play blind, gambling without truly knowing anything about him. Which is why he played right into the Uchiha's hands without even noticing it.

A shinobi would be wary of him due to the capabilities of his eyes. However, Ozpin is not a shinobi, no one in Remnant truly is. No one knows his full capabilities here, unlike back at the Elemental Nations. Such is the headmaster's mistake.

"Congrats on passing the test, Sasuke! You were so cool jumping on those trees and that lighting blade you used to slice those beowolves!" The leader of team RWBY beamed at him with comically starry eyes, snapping him away from his thoughts as he approached them.

The shinobi stopped his walk and looked towards the cheerful girl for a second, before nodding. 'At least she's not a fangirl,' he mused, before slightly shivering from the sheer memory of his annoying and aggressive admirers back home.

Back at Konoha, Sasuke was constantly exposed to countless praise from numerous shinobis and admirers that either stemmed from his skills, name or good looks. Which is why he was used to the praise Ruby gave him. Needless to say, seeing another girl praising him brought back the horrible memories he had with his female stalkers when he was younger.

Speaking of aggressive fangirls, his horrible flashbacks was abruptly stopped when he felt an arm snake its way on his shoulder, while something soft was pressed on his arm. "Damn right you looked cool back there! Although you would look a lot cooler if you smile more, instead of frowning all the time, Blacky!" Yang enthusiastically said from his side while pressing her breasts on his arm.

Sasuke frowned, as he gazed at the grinning blonde beside him. His frown then deepened when he realized she managed to get this close without him noticing. Clearly too caught up in his past horrors to detect her.

If people back at the Elemental Nations heard of this, he would be a laughing stock. As some blonde girl managed to sneak up to an S-class shinobi no less, is very humiliating and a low blow to his pride.

'No one must know about this.' He thought grimly, before freeing himself from her grasp, without even acknowledging their closeness nor the body part pressed on him. He clearly knows the game she's playing at. He experienced it countless times back home, as to why he doesn't want to deal with her antics, and simply ignored her while walking away.

'Damn, blacky is immune to the body of a maiden, huh… He didn't even blush! Wait… Don't tell me!' the blond of team RWBY thought, as her eyes widened. "Wait a second, do you uh… play for the other team?"

Hearing the million-dollar question of Yang, every teen present had varying emotions etched on their faces. On the side of team RWBY, Blake blushed while Ruby and Weiss sputtered. On the side of team JNPR, Ren sighed while Pyrrha nervously smiled, Jaune gaped and Nora laughed.

The most notable, however, was Sasuke who's eye twitched in irritation. Stopping his stride, he looked back and glared murderously at the offending blonde. 'This blonde!' He darkly thought, as he clenched both of his fists shut, trying his best to control himself not to strangle the girl.

"Yang! That's rude!" Ruby scolded, oblivious to the dark look Sasuke is giving her sister. "I do admit, brute that is way too rude even for you! Just because he is decent and not ogling at your oversized body part, that doesn't mean he's gay!" Weiss berated, adding more salt to the blonde's wound.

"That's a bad Yang!" Nora scolded, although sounding too happy from her tone, along with the smile etched on her face. "That's a shallow way of thinking, Yang." Blake added before discretely covering her face with her book, as a way to hide her nosebleed from imagining a couple of adult things.

Despite quickly hiding the nosebleed behind her book, it still greatly failed to escape the Uchiha's watchful eyes. 'How annoying… A female version of Kakashi. What the hell is she imagining!?' With another twitch of his eye, he frowned, more than displeased at the occurrence in front of him.

"Hey, hey, I'm honestly just asking questions! I didn't mean to offend him!" The blonde continued to defend herself, albeit nervously, from her scolding teammates. 'This is getting way too ridiculous! What the hell is wrong with them?!' Sasuke thought, becoming more impatient and irritated the longer he looked or even listened to them.

"You'll get used to them." Ren commented beside him, as he and his teammates watched team RWBY's antics.

As this occurs, Goodwitch and Ozpin continues to watch the teens at a distance, the former showing no interest while the latter is slightly amused at the sheer absurdity of their student's conversation.

"It seems like Beacon would be livelier this year." The headmaster stated with a small smile before taking another sip from his mug. "Come along now, Glynda. I believe it's best to prepare before the classes start."

Goodwitch nodded in confirmation but didn't say anything in return. The frown visible on her lips deepened, as Ozpin quirked his eyebrow. "You're still against my decision?" He questioned, though it was delivered it as a statement.

Giving a huff for an answer, she turned and glanced at the newly added student. "I just hope you know what you are doing, Ozpin." She said before looking back at the headmaster who nodded in understanding at her.

"Though, I understand your reasoning for the distrust towards him, I believe accepting him here is the best course of action, Glynda." He paused, taking a sip from his mug before he continued, "He's powerful as he is now, and I know you know it too, but he can be more powerful as our ally against Salem."

"I know, Ozpin." She sternly replied before releasing a small sigh, "I just hope you are right." The headmaster smiled before turning and walking towards the school. "Trust me on this one, Glynda." He said, as Goodwitch nodded before following behind him.

Back at teens, the Uchiha's eye twitched for the umpteenth time that day. His patience long ran out at the circus act in front of him. There is always the option of using his genjutsu to shut them up, but with all the cameras littered around the school that can capture his act, the cons it would cause him greatly outweighs the pros.

He also has the option of just walking away and ignoring them. However, with his irritation now at peak, that's not possible anymore without blowing off some steam first, and that he did.

"I am not gay; I merely have no interest at your appearance nor your cow-like body! If you think that all man would wallow at you because of your figure, then your ego is certainly larger than your overgrown breasts!" He venomously spat through gritted teeth, surprising and silencing all the teens present while also causing the blonde gawk at his insult.

"And you," he continued, as he gazed and pointed his left hand's index finger at the cat faunus. "Get your mind off the gutter!" He finished at a dangerously low tone.

Blake blushed madly from the embarrassment of being caught before demurely nodding, leaving the others to be confused as to what the faunus in disguise was thinking. Do they want to know? Probably not, who knows what their closet pervert friend was thinking.

"Now that you're done doing nonsensical things," Sasuke said before walking towards the school. "I believe we have classes soon." He finished, leaving the members of team RWBY and JNPR staring at his retreating form, still surprised at his outburst.

"He's right, we have classes soon. Best we head now to the cafeteria or else we'll have empty stomach for the rest of the day." Weiss huffed, after a while of silence, before walking ahead to the direction of the school.

"Geez, that's way too harsh!" Yang complained while following Weiss, as the insult of Sasuke still lingers in her mind. "There, there, I'm sure he didn't mean it." Ruby tries to comfort her sister, whose pride greatly suffered, by patting her back.

"Think about the bright side, Yang! At least you got him to talk a lot!" Nora eagerly commented, causing Yang to grumble in response. "Still, I wonder what got him so mad about Blake though." She continued while smiling cluelessly at the faunus.

Blake stiffened and averted her gaze from the others. "N-Nothing!" She hurriedly said, causing Nora to look at her oddly before shrugging. "If you say so."

After returning to Beacon, the Uchiha heads towards the cafeteria where numerous students were already mingling and eating breakfast. He then took a quick look around, scouting the quietest table to occupy, away from the noise emitting teens. With his peaceful morning already foiled by team RWBY, he was far too irritated to socialize anymore and just wants to eat in peace.

Noticing the empty table at the far end of the room, he immediately went towards the food stand to get his meal before some student steals his seat. Upon arriving at the food stand, his gaze fell through the vast selection of breakfast Beacon provides. Yet so far, nothing caught his eye as he prefers to find a meal, he is familiar with or at least similar to the food sold back home.

It was the only thing he is comfortable to eat and he wasn't too keen on eating food, he does not know.

After a minute of him skimming through the selection of food he deemed 'garbage', his eyes finally landed on a meal he knows very well. To others, the food that caught his gaze is nothing extraordinary for it was just grilled tuna. Yet to Sasuke it was very nostalgic, as it was the dish her mother often prepares for breakfast, when he was younger.

Deciding that grilled tuna is what he'll have for breakfast, he points at it, earning a smile and a nod from the cafeteria attendant. The attendant then quickly prepares and serves it on a plate before handing it to Sasuke, to which he gladly accepts. He then uttered a small "thanks" before taking a pair of utensils and heading to his chosen table, more than ready to eat his meal.

Upon arriving at the table, he immediately pulled a seat before sitting down. The scent of the grilled fish filling his nostrils, was more than enough to make his stomach grumble. Resting his eyes for a second before opening it, he then complies with his hunger and proceeds to indulge himself with his food.

With a quick bite, he nodded to himself. Impressed at the taste of the fish, clearly better than what he expected. However, it is still inferior when compared to his mother's cooking, but it good nonetheless, just enough to satisfy him.

As he continued to slowly eat his meal, he suddenly heard a thump beside him which was followed by a loud chewing noise. Glancing at his side, his eyes narrowed at the red caped girl munching on some cookies. "Hiya, Sasuke." Ruby greeted between her chewing.

"Haven't you heard of manners, dolt? Don't speak when your mouth is full." Weiss scolded, as she sat on the chair in front of the Uchiha. "Sowwy." She apologized, still mouthful of cookies, causing Weiss to glare at her annoyingly. Whether it was to irk the Schnee or just a simple mistake, Sasuke can't tell and does not care.

"What are you doing at my table?" He asked impatiently with narrowed eyes, the two girls eating with him. Weiss looked at him and leveled a stern glare. "We can sit and eat wherever we want. You just so happened to be at our table, that's all."

"I don't rememberseeing you here when I got here." He scoffed at her, causing her glare to harden in response. "This was our spot before you even arrived at Beacon!" She stated with a hint of edge on her voice, as she tapped her finger on the table for emphasis.

Ruby nervously watched the two while munching her cookies, afraid to interrupt and be caught in the crossfire.

"Whoa, you two need to calm down." Yang chimed in with a tray on her hand, before sitting next to Ruby. The two annoyed teens glared at her, causing her to flinch and smile nervously. "S-Seriously, calm down." She slightly stuttered under the gaze of the two.

Knowing that his annoyance wouldn't get him anywhere, Sasuke looked away and continued to eat his food quietly like nothing happened. Following his example, Weiss did just the same, although showing more annoyance by the way she eats her food. An awkward silence enveloped the four, but soon it vanished at the arrival of the others.

"Hiya there, Mr. Magician!" Nora eagerly greeted, as she sat down beside Sasuke, much to his irritation. Ignoring her, he continued to eat his meal while the others sat on their desired locations. Blake sat at the left of Weiss, while Pyrrha occupied the right. Ren sat beside Nora, while Jaune occupied the chair on his front.

Everyone minded their own businesses with the occasional small talks here and there that Sasuke ignored, in favor for a peaceful breakfast. However, his peace and quiet was interrupted once more when Pyrrha asked him a seemingly friendly question. "Hey Sasuke, could you tell us more about you?"

The questioned seemed to piqued the interest of the others, as they all stopped eating and looked at him in anticipation. "No," he flatly denied the request, causing some of them to frown.

"Oh, come on! We basically know nothing about you besides the basics!" Weiss angrily stated, as her glare from before at the Uchiha returned. "Good. Let's leave it that way." He coolly replied, causing the Schnee's temper to rise up significantly.

The two gazed heatedly at each other for a while, Sasuke with his cold, narrowed eyes and Weiss with her stern, irritated glare. Afraid to be caught in the crossfire, no one interrupted the two. That is until a brave soul decided that enough was enough.

"Okay, okay let's all calm down." Pyrrha stepped in, placing a hand at Weiss' shoulder to calm her. Huffing, the Schnee reluctantly complied and teared her gaze away from the Uchiha.

"Seriously, what's up with you two today? You're both super cranky." Yang stated, before taking a bite from her food. Just like before, Sasuke ignored her and continued to eat his meal in silence.

"I apologize, Sasuke." Pyrrha voiced out with a slight bow of her head. "I didn't mean to be nosy or something. I was just curious that's all."

Quirking an eyebrow, Sasuke looked at her and noticed the sincerity visible on her face. "It's fine," he waved off her apology, yet it wasn't enough convenience the guilt driven teen. "No, I really am- "

"I said, it's fine. Now stop blabbering." He coldly cut her off, slightly surprising the girl. "O-Okay." She unsurely replied, biting the bottom of her lip, as she looked down on her food.

"Geez, you don't have to be an asshole about it, Sasuke!" Yang stated, as she glared at him heatedly. Gone were her previous playful nature, only to be replaced by anger. "Yeah dude, seriously." Jaune added while looking at the shinobi with a hint of hate.

"Guys, it's fine. I completely understand it was my mistake." Pyrrha quickly cut in, diffusing the situation before it escalates to another argument. Looking at her, the two reluctantly complied and continued to eat their meal quietly. Like before, an awkward silence enveloped their table.

'Now, I feel awful.' He shortly thought, as he took a bite from his almost finished tuna. Sour was the only taste that lingered in his mouth, yet it wasn't from his food but from what he felt.

'It's for the best.' He added, as his mind wandered away like a cloud blown by the wind. He did not come to this world to make friends. He is only in this world for his mission: to investigate aura and the Ōtsutsuks. After that, he will immediately return home and the bonds he formed here would wither like a plant without sunlight.

But why does he feel awful for what he did? A question he couldn't seem to answer.

It wasn't the first time he treated someone with a cold shoulder, no. Normally, he would just ignore everyone around him, treating them coldly without a second thought. As his former self would always say, bonds are nothing to him.

He even tried to kill his best friend before, along with other people he considered to be family. Compared to that, being rude or being an asshole to some girl is pretty much laughable.

But then again, why does he feel awful for what he did?

The answer probably lies on the influence of his knucklehead friend, Naruto. The blonde idiot who changed his previous belief. The dead last who drilled into his thick and stubborn skull, that bonds are just as important as everything else in the world. And maybe that's why he's changing?

'Damn you, Naruto! I'm becoming soft because of you!' He shortly cursed in his mind with mild irritation, accompanied by a frown. '… just for today.' He reluctantly thought before sighing.

"Fine," he started in a low tone, garnering the attention of team RWBY and JNPR. "Just for today, I'll answer some of your questions."

Like a flick of the light switch, the awkward mood that surrounds the table changed to that of a cheery. The frowns and the furrowed eyebrows, immediately turned to smiles. Although, he would die first before he even openly admits it, it somehow felt good. A feeling he haven't experienced in such a long time.

Everyone at the table smiled at him, even the usual expressionless Ren and the coldly-treated Pyrrha. The only ones who didn't, for their own reasons, are the two girls: Blake and Weiss. The former is still wary of him, while the latter is irked from the earlier argument. Nevertheless, their curiosities were still piqued by what he said.

"Oohhh! Can I ask the first question?" Nora eagerly asked while raising her left hand in the air, similar to that of student asking to be called by the professor in class. Some of her friends laughed at her antics, while Sasuke impassively looked at her before nodding. "Are you a magician?"

"No," he deadpanned, as he looked away from the now crestfallen Nora, devastated by his answer. "Next," he coolly stated, ignoring the obnoxious girl beside him who's accusing him of fraud because he 'pretended' to be a magician.

Laughing shortly at Nora's antics, Yang decided to ask the second question. "Okay, my turn!" She vigorously stated while disregarding the annoyed look Sasuke is giving her. "What's with the long lighting sword you used earlier, blacky?" The question seemed to perk everyone's interest, as they all looked at the shinobi in anticipation once more.

Slightly sighing, he answered, "That's an ability from the lightning semblance that I've copied. It's called Chidori Eisō."

Hearing the unfamiliar language once more, the other members of team RWBY looked at Blake for the translation. "One thousand birds sharp spear." She stated, causing Sasuke to nod and Ruby's eyes to widen in glee.

"You know that language?" Jaune asked what he and his teammates were thinking. "It's Old Mistralian. I read a couple of books of it when I was a kid." She nonchalantly shrugged.

Jaune nodded, before looking at his teammates as he seems to remember something. "Wait, didn't you three came from the Kingdom of Mistral?" His teammates nodded before Pyrrha answered first, "Yes, but I didn't really encounter that language once during my stay in Argus… This is actually my first time hearing such a language."

"The same applies to Nora and I. It's called Old Mistralian for that reason, I suppose." Ren answered casually as he shrugged.

"You can make spears using lightning!? How!?" Ruby excitingly asked with comically starry eyes. "Always the weapon nut." Yang snickered while patting her sister on the head.

"It's the same thing I used against Goodwitch. I merely extended it for a wider reach." The shinobi explained, much to the scythe user's glee. "That's so cool!" She cheered while childishly raising both of her hands in the air, causing others to laugh at her merry attitude.

Stifling her laughter, Pyrrha looked at him and smiled, almost like his harshness earlier towards her never even happened. "Well, Ruby's not wrong. That's quite an impressive skill, Sasuke." She praised, to which he merely nodded in response.

"Hey, Uchiha, I have a question." Weiss sternly started, garnering his and everyone's attention. She glared at him for a second, swallowing her pride in exchange for curiosity, before she continued. "Is that semblance of yours unique to only you?"

Her question slightly caught the Uchiha off guard, but he quickly schooled his emotions to hide it. "What do you mean, Weiss?" Ruby questioned, as she slightly tilted her head to the side, while looking at her teammate. The same can be said with the others, as they were mildly confused at what she meant.

Huffing in annoyance, she answered, "What I meant to ask, is that if he's the only person with that kind of semblance." Ruby nodded, as she now fully understood what her partner meant. "Although I hate to admit it, your semblance is very powerful… So, I was merely curious if there are others with the same semblance as you." She added while gazing the Uchiha.

As the question hanged in the air, he frowned. It was a difficult one to answer. Truthfully, he wasn't the only one with the Sharingan, as it was a power granted to those with Uchiha blood. But, on the other hand, his clan was long time dead, so that makes him the only one left with his dōjutsu.

To make things easier, there is always the option of fabricating another lie to feed to them, just like what he did with the headmaster and his colleague. However, the question she posed is different. It wasn't exactly the same with Ozpin's, who's questions are more towards the 'discretely-figuring-out-your-use' side.

Moreover, he had already told the headmaster and his colleague that his 'semblance' is shared by the Uchiha clan so lying wouldn't be necessary. Deciding to give them a partial of the truth, he shook his head. "No, no I'm not. The Sharingan is the semblance of those in the Uchiha clan." He answered truthfully.

Hearing that he came from a family with such a powerful semblance, everyone's eyes widened, even Weiss'. "Whoa! Your clan's kickass, blacky!" Yang complimented with a smile, while Ruby beside her nodded.

"The Uchiha must be a clan of warriors, correct?" Pyrrha questioned, to which he nodded in response. "Then I'd like to spar with you sometime in the future." She added with a competitive smile that slightly surprised Sasuke.

He nodded and suppressed a smirk from showing on his face. Although he highly doubts, she could put out a decent fight that can make him sweat, he still acknowledged her request as he loves a good challenge.

"Heh, count me in too, blacky!" Yang chimed in with her own competitive look. Glancing at her, he nodded again, causing the smile on her face to grow. "Alright! That's what I'm talking about!"

While this is happening, Weiss ignored everything around her and adapted a thoughtful look on her face. Looking down at the table, she propped her chin over her left hand. "So, your semblance is hereditary?" She inquired when she looked at him, interrupting Yang's bragging on how she'll bury the Uchiha 10 feet underground when they fight.

Tearing his narrowed and annoyed eyes from the trash-talking blonde, he looked at her and nodded. "Duh!" Nora stated, causing Yang and Ruby to laugh, although restrained as they feared the ice queen's wrath.

Luckily for both the sisters and Nora, she ignored them. "Interesting. Hereditary semblances aren't exactly rare… But a whole family having a selfsame semblance… that is quite infrequent." She stated before explaining, "Your semblance is just like mine which stemmed from the Schnee family."

Now that piqued Sasuke's interest, as he asked, "What exactly is your semblance?" Hearing the Uchiha's question, she proudly smiled. "My Semblance are Glyphs. As the name implies, it allows me to create different glyphs, each with their own respective use."

Nodding in understanding, Sasuke let her continue. "Still, for a clan to have the same copy semblance of yours… I-I have no doubt in my mind that the Uchiha is a powerful clan… And one that you should be proud of." She hesitantly complimented, although her message was genuine, as the others nodded in agreement.

Hearing the girl's compliment caused his eyes widen for a fraction of a second before it softened. It was a long time since he heard someone praise his clan in such a sincere manner, so it caught him off guard.

Ever since his defection from the leaf, along with the war started by two Uchihas, almost everyone except his friends, looked at his clan with such distain and hatred. The once prestigious clan of Konohagakure no Sato, reduced to being condemned as evil. And the villagers who were once a sycophant towards his clan, were now the same people who spouts that their extinction was for the best.

Hearing his clan shunned and badmouthed for the first time, was more than enough to make his blood boil in rage. He even had to greatly restrain himself from lashing out on them.

However, no matter how much he despised them for his clan's treatment, he couldn't really blame them for possessing such hate. After all, it was his ancestor's fault for instigating the Fourth Shinobi War. The bloody war that snuffed the lives of many shinobi.

Which is why, he isn't in any position to condemn them or their words. All he could truly do is simply bite his tongue and atone for his ancestor's wrongdoings. Hard maybe, but it is a burden he'll have to carry alone, throughout his life. Such is the fate of the last Uchiha.

"Hn, it was…" He trailed off absentmindedly, as he sadly smiled in nostalgia. Too caught up in his precious memories that he wasn't even able to notice the slip from his mouth. Both team RWBY and JNPR noticed this and looked at him in worry.

"Was?" Ruby hesitantly asked, snapping the shinobi from his mild stupor. Noticing the slip from his tongue, his eyes narrowed while he gritted his teeth, frustrated at himself for being careless. It was only for a fraction of a second, the others weren't even sure they truly witnessed his pain from his features, as he quickly schooled his face back to its stoic façade and replied, "Grimm."

It was a lie, of course but everyone bought it, as their eyes widened at his implication. There is no reason for him to delve deeper than he needed. No one needs to know, how his clan was massacred by his brother for the peace of the village.

"Sasuke, I-I'm sorry." Ruby apologized with a slight stutter, as she looked at him with obvious sympathy. Shaking his head, he returned her gaze. "It's fine, it was a long time ago." He flatly assured, ignoring the pitying looks he's receiving from the others.

"I u-uh I apologize… for breaching such a personal topic." Weiss stammered on her apology. Losing a family member is already a devastating loss, but losing a whole clan? She just couldn't imagine how hard and painful it was for Sasuke. As such, she bowed her head in shame at the Uchiha, swallowing every bit of her pride for her mistake.

'Weiss, you idiot! No wonder he didn't like to share earlier! You're such an idiot!' She frustratingly berated herself while biting her lower lip. She was about to apologize once more, but Sasuke's impassive voice quickly cut her off. "I said, its fine."

Looking up, she reluctantly glanced at him, noticing the same expressionless façade on his face. "As I said before, it was a long time ago. I eventually got over it." He continued while staring straight into her eye, almost as if he's looking right into her soul. "But I thank you for your worry. It was the first time someone sympathized over our cursed clan." He finished, as his visible eye softened. A small yet honest smile escaped his lips.

Weiss' eyes widened, and so did the others at the sight before them. The usual cold and impassive teen was smiling! They may not know Sasuke for a long time but it doesn't take a genius to figure out that he wasn't one for smiles. Which is why, it left most of them speechless, almost like they made the discovery of a lifetime.

'That's the first time he smiled.' Weiss briefly thought while observing the small yet gentle smile on his face. It brings out more of his features that can't be seen from his usual stoic façade. As such, it left her staring, observing every nook and cranny on his face.

'Yang was right… he looks cooler when- Wait! I did not just think of that!' She immediately cut her line of thoughts, as a hint of blush grew on her face. Luckily for her, no one really noticed her somewhat reddened cheeks, as all were still looking towards the shinobi.

"Oho! What's this? The expressionless blacky is smiling? I can clearly see a character development!" A voice teased, and just like that, his smile quickly turned to a full-blown scowl directed at Yang.

'This obnoxious blonde!' He darkly mused, while glaring at the cackling brawler of team RWBY. Forget about Ozpin's cameras, he's really tempted to use his Sharingan and teach this buffoon a lesson. Luckily for Yang, before Sasuke falls into the temptation, Blake decided to cut in.

"Wait," she suddenly interrupted, quickly garnering the attention of everyone. "I'm sorry but I just can't seem to wrap my head about something you said… You mentioned earlier that your clan is cursed… Is that how the people in your village treats your clan?" She inquired, as all of her friends' eyes widened before landing on Sasuke.

Faintly caught off guard by the inquiry, he frowned. The answer for that question isn't exactly that big of a secret. It was just a piece of Uchiha's history, lost in the sands of time. If he didn't meet the Nidaime Hokage, Senju Tobirama, then he wouldn't even know it.

Nevertheless, is it really feasible for him to share that piece of information, let alone on teens he barely knew? Probably not, as he was very restrained when he shared a slight knowledge about his village to Ozpin. But then again, that's different. As information about a standing village, more than outweighs an information about a long-time buried clan.

'Still, there is no need for me to tell them that.' He mused, ignoring the worried looks team RWBY and JNPR were giving him. Deciding to just give them a lie, he opened his mouth to reply, but before the words could spill out of his mouth, a sudden commotion cut him off.

Curious as to what it was about, Sasuke glanced towards the destination of the noise, soon seeing a familiar, tall and armored male teen pulling the ears of, what he believed to be, a female rabbit faunus.

"Please stop!" The faunus loudly pleaded, garnering the attention of both team RWBY and JNPR. Looking towards where the Uchiha is gazing at, their eyes narrowed at what they saw. "That Cardin bastard is at it again!" Yang growled in anger while glaring at the offending teen.

'Bullying, huh.' The shinobi thought, as he frowned. 'It seems like no matter where I am it's always present.'

Back at Konoha when he was younger, Sasuke, while not bullied by others due to being the 'pride' of their village, was very familiar with it. This is because of his former teammate, Naruto, who used to be the constant target of the villagers bullying and harassment due to him housing the Kyūbi no Yōko, the strongest bijū. The said tailed beast ravaged Konoha not too long ago, destroying properties and killing a lot of people in its wake, including the Yondaime Hokage.

Because of this, the villagers' wrath and fear were conveyed to Naruto, often abusing the teen with such vile words or downright ignoring his existence. However, instead of wallowing in misery of being labeled as the 'demon brat', Naruto did the opposite and used it as his motivation to work harder and earn the recognition he deserves, and that he did.

After numerous years, his blonde teammate not only saved the leaf, but also the whole Elemental Nations from countless threats. This soon led to him being recognized by all nations, not only as the savior of the world, but also as the upcoming Nanadaime Hokage.

Despite not showing it, Sasuke was very happy for his friend, fighting against all odds and doing what is considered to be impossible.

However, the same cannot be said to what he is seeing now. Instead of fighting back against the bully, the female faunus continued begging to be released by the arrogant teen. Moreover, his frown deepened when he saw no one is even attempting to stop the bully. The students continued to turn the other way around and pretend nothing is even happening, either due to fear or they just can't be bothered with.

"Weak!" Sasuke spat, as if the word that came from his mouth is plain putrid, though it was low enough not to be heard by the others, except of course for one cat faunus who narrowed her eyes at him.

Uchiha Sasuke is not a stranger to weakness, as he too was weak when he was younger. Because of it, he wasn't able to help nor save his brother. Because of his weakness, he was blinded from the truth, driven on the path of vengeance, and was used by others for their bidding. Because of his weakness, he betrayed his best friend and almost killed him numerous times.

Long story short, his life was ruined by his own weakness, as to why he greatly despised it. It reminds him too much of his young and naïve self. It reminds him too much of his failure.

"That's the second time since yesterday." Ruby whispered sadly to no one but herself, interrupting the Uchiha's dark thoughts. "If only I could punch that stupid Cardin then I would!" Yang growled angrily while clenching her fists, no doubt trying to control herself from intervening.

"Poor girl, I wish somebody would help her." Another student near their table said, earning a scoff from Sasuke. 'So, they would wish for someone to act rather than acting themselves… how laughable.' He dryly mused. Disgusted by the fact that these so-called future huntsmen and huntresses who were supposed to protect the weak are doing nothing at all.

Shinobi are different from both huntsman and huntress. Although they are both the same in the aspect of protecting the masses, who they protect it from is very different. Huntsmen and Huntresses kills the creatures of Grimm, while shinobis on the other hand, kills people.

Shinobis are mercenaries for hire, they would do any job from kidnapping to killing if paid with the right coin. Moreover, they would even kill and betray their own teammates and village for their own benefit. As some of the most cold-hearted shinobis would say, "A shinobi's loyalty is only for himself." And it was a saying Sasuke etched in his heart, not too long ago.

Shinobis are not kind-hearted heroes; they are and always will be cold-blooded liars and killers. And they all know it themselves.

On the other side of the coin are these huntsmen and huntresses, the glorified individuals who protect the world from the threat of Grimm. Painted as noble, selfless and brave heroes who would always help those in need. Nothing but exaggerations and lies, based from what Sasuke is seeing right now.

The books written about them are a ruse! And the stories told about their greatness were mere myths! Huntsman and huntresses are nothing but apathetic frauds who only acts if it glorifies them... But then again, who is he to judge? He was a killer and a deserter, after all. A thousand times worse than the false advertisement these huntsmen and huntresses promotes.

"Please stop!" The faunus begged once more, and that was the final straw for the Uchiha. Before anybody could notice what he's about to do, he swiftly picked his spoon and coated it with chakra. If the contents of the book he read yesterday was true, then blunt force is all he needs to knock out someone with aura, similar to what he did with his chakra enhanced fist.

Discretely aiming the chakra coated spoon at the unsuspecting fool, he then threw it with impeccable force and accuracy. The utensil sailed the air for a second before the mohawked teen noticed it.

"Cardin, look out!"

Almost by pure reflex, the armor-clan teen managed to manifest his aura, though it didn't deter the force of the impact at the back of his head. It immediately rendered him unconscious, freeing the rabbit faunus from his grasp, as his knees wobbled before he fell, face first, onto the ground with a loud thud.

All the noise inside the cafeteria quickly died down. Everyone was bewildered and speechless, even the faunus and the rest of the bullies, at what occurred. A mere utensil managed to knock out a huntsman with aura, the manifestation of their soul, that was supposed to protect them from all possible damage. It was more than enough make them tongue tied for a few seconds, that is until a voice broke through.

"The hell!? Cardin!" The blue-haired teen shouted, as he knelt in front of their downed leader, shaking him to try and wake him. However, their leader didn't stir or respond, for he was too knocked out cold.

"Who the fuck threw that!?" The mohawked teen shouted in anger, tearing his eyes away from their leader, as he glanced around the sea of students to search for the perpetrator.

"It was me." Sasuke coolly answered, causing all eyes inside the cafeteria to look at his direction. "Sasuke!?" Ruby voiced out while looking at him in surprise. The same can be said with the others at their table, as they didn't even notice him throwing the spoon.

The shinobi didn't reply and instead, merely gazed at the group of bullies who glared at him. The mohawked teen stepped forward, and Sasuke prepared himself to take them down if they were to rush him.

"You bastard! What the hell—Wait!" The mohawked teen paused, as his eyes flashed in recognition upon remembering him. His anger quickly subsided only to be replaced by nervousness. "You're the guy from yesterday!" He swallowed before pointing his slightly shaking finger at him.

His two teammates behind him stopped and widened their respective eyes.

No one could blame them. No one even laughed at them, as some of the students who recognized the Uchiha widened their eyes. How could they not? After all, seeing some teen drive Goodwitch, one of the most capable huntresses in Remnant, into a corner without breaking a sweat, was more than enough to etch his face to all who were there to witness it.

Like before, Sasuke didn't reply. His cold, visible eye still fixated at the mohawked teen, tables away from him. And it was more than enough to cause the tension inside the cafeteria to thicken rapidly.

No one dared to talk. No one dared tear their gaze away from the upcoming conflict.

After what seemed to be an hour of silence, the mohawked teen finally broke quietness. "Y-You bastard! I-I- We'll let you off the hook this one time!" He stuttered while trying to act tough and failing miserably. He then turned to his teammates, a silent message passed on them, before they walked back to their downed leader, to carry and bring him to the infirmary.

It was the wise decision. Arrogant and prideful they may be, but they aren't stupid to try and challenge him. After all, what they witnessed yesterday was more than enough to cement his strength. If he was beating Goodwitch on her own game with relative ease, then surely their change to win against him is next to impossible.

After team CRDL left the cafeteria with their unconscious leader, the tension inside the room slowly subsided. Most of the students got back to their usual chats while some kept glancing warily at the Uchiha. He ignored it, of course, it doesn't really matter to him what the others were thinking. His eyes then trailed at the silent stares of team RWBY and JNPR.

"Why did you help her?" It was Blake who broke the silence, caused by from the sheer surprise from his action, and not from the awkwardness like before. She stared at him awaiting his response, and he stared back.

"And why would I not help her?" He questioned back, though it sounded like a statement, to which Blake didn't have an answer. "Turns out you're quite the softy, aren't you?" Yang teased while wiggling her eyebrows, causing him to frown and the others to laugh.

"I agree with Yang," Pyrrha stifled her giggles, smiling brightly before she continued, "You're a lot nicer than you show." Noticing Sasuke's frown deepening, she waved her hands frantically before correcting herself, "I-I didn't mean it in a rude way! I-uh… was just surprised you helped when nobody did." The others nodded in agreement.

'Surprised, huh?' He shortly questioned himself. The feeling was mutual, as he was also surprised at himself for intervening. 'Maybe I really did change…' He trailed off in his mind before standing from his seat.

"Huh? Sasuke? Where are you going?" Ruby questioned while looking at him. "Oh, don't mind him, Ruby. He's just shy from all the praise he's receiving." Yang teased with a snicker, to which Nora laughed loudly.

He ignored both of them and instead, opted to look at the red caped girl. "Bathroom. I'll meet you all in class." He responded before turning and walking away from the table, not giving them the option to reply.

"Wow, guess he's quite relieved to relieve himself, eh?" Everyone groaned.

After leaving the cafeteria, the Uchiha walked on a steady pace, navigating the grand hallways of the academy. The students he passed by turned and look at him, either because of his foreign clothing or they recognize him from his fight with Goodwitch. Just like before at the cafeteria, he ignored them and focused on the task in his hand. He needs to find a secluded place, away from Ozpin's cameras, so that he could create a shadow clone that will take his class.

He had a lot to do since his theory was correct. Aoba was correct. The aura from this world is basically a weaker chakra. Successfully casting a genjustu at the headmaster is a valid proof at that.

This shouldn't be possible if the people from this world doesn't possess any chakra, as genjutsu disrupts the chakra flow of a target's cerebral nervous system, thereby affecting the five senses. Therefore, casting a genjustu on a person without chakra will have no effect.

But it did work on Ozpin and hence it will work on everyone with aura. Aura is chakra—that is all the proof and push he needs to study this world and continue his search for the Ōtsutsukis.

However, before anything else, he will have deal with Ozpin first, to remove any threat from his plans, all the while making Beacon his base of operations. Based from what he observed, it seems like the headmaster is influential himself, as to why the academy will be the perfect cover he needs away from the grasp of other authorities.

With that in mind, he needs to act now. He-

"Wait!" A female voice called out to him, interrupting his thoughts and prompting him to stop. Looking behind, he saw the rabbit faunus he protected from the bullies, gazing at him nervously. He didn't really pay any attention to her appearance earlier, but now that he's closer, he can't help but observe the brown rabbit ears above her long, brown hair.

"T-Thank you!" She stuttered, snapping him away from observing her ears. Sasuke looked at her, allowing his visible, coal-colored eye to meet her brown ones. Under his gaze, the faunus became more nervous. The silence she's receiving from him were both deafening and awkward.

"There is no need to thank me," he broke the quietness after a few seconds, allowing her to look at him in surprise. "If that is all then I'll be on my way, I have a class to attend." He impassively said before turning and walking away.

"W-Wait!" She called again, causing him to stop once more. "M-My name is Velvet Scarlatina—I-uh what's yours?"

"Sasuke, Uchiha Sasuke." And with that he walked away, undisturbed this time.

"Hmm, you sure are full of surprises, Mr. Uchiha." The grey-haired headmaster mused to himself, as he watched from his scroll the perplexing spectacle that occurred inside the cafeteria.

Sure, he knows that the Uchiha is more capable than what he shows, as his feats during his fight with Professor Goodwitch, along with the prowess he showed during his initiation, was more than enough to tell him of Sasuke's experience. However, the real icing atop the cake that left the headmaster perplexed are not those, instead it was what he performed at the cafeteria today.

Blunt force bypassing aura is not new nor unheard of. What's new, however, is using a single spoon to render a huntsman in training unconscious. It's plain impossible… or so he earlier believed. If he didn't saw it with his own eyes then he would simply dismiss it as an exaggeration.

He frowned, as an unanswered question seemed to pop in his mind. 'How did the Uchiha managed to create a blunt force capable of negating aura, using a spoon of all things?'

'Did he perhaps utilize his wire at the cafeteria?' He thought as he recalled the thin yet durable wire, the raven-haired teen used in tandem with a knife, during his initiation. 'No, that's not it. The camera did not capture any wire. Moreover, that won't explain how he was able to create enough blunt force, capable of rendering someone unconscious.'

He slowly tapped his fingers on his desk.

'Did he perhaps utilize Glynda's semblance? That would certainly explain how he was able to create blunt force that strong. However, if he did used telekinesis, then how come there was no blue aura coating the spoon just like what he had shown yesterday?'

Another light taps of his finger.

The more he tries to decipher the mysteries surrounding the teen, the more he finds himself lost and confused as multitude of new questions appear before him. Irritating as it is to be left in the dark, he takes those mysteries as a challenge. One that he won't shy away solving.

Another light tap was heard, only this time it didn't come from him.

His instincts honed throughout the years screamed at him about the intruder in the room. His nerves blared at him to move and jump away from his seat to gain distance from the unknown individual before him, but he begrudgingly ignored it.

Slowly and steadily, he looked towards the center of the room where he can feel the presence of the intruder. He expects to see with one Salem's pawns, only to find himself staring at the red eye of the Uchiha. And the world around him shifted as a blaring, crimson full moon looms above the scarlet skies.

Nothing but an atmosphere of dread crept through his windows.

AN: Hooboy! This became a long-ass chapter but it was pretty much worth it, I guess?

The first major change I made here is that there are more Sasuke and co interactions. In my previous version Sasuke ate alone but I found it to be weird because team RWBY did an effort to watch him and after that they disappear completely from the chapter. Very weird.

The second major change is that Sasuke is slowly starting to change in this chapter, as he is becoming more open rather than his usual reserved self. In the first version of this rewrite, I made him cold and ignore all questions from team RWBY and JNPR but boy, I know some of you will dislike it and point out that he's too much of an asshole so I changed that. The second version of this rewrite, I made him more open but it made him softer than he usually was, so I scrapped that too. In this final version I made a bit of both and it seemed okay to me, so I hope you would also like it.

Anyways, that's about it. I hope you do like this chapter. Leave a review if you haven't still dropped one. It would help me a lot! With that said, I'll see you soon, Buh bye!

REPLIES:

Dagsun: Hn

rvala117: Definitely! That is a promise!

DayOfReckoning: I dunno what to say about that… sorry to hear that

artem-abramov-2004: hmmm I'm not yet sure about the shipping in this story… maybe or maybe not? We'll see!

Momo: Thank you very much! And expect the future chapters to be better!

Vsauce: Michael here! The design of Sasuke here is indeed from Sasuke Shinden meaning his hair and age… but his clothes is from his design in Boruto. However, I'm not gonna make Sasuke wear the same clothes for the entirety of this fic so yeah expect him to wear his clothes from Shinden in the future!

RasenganMeister: Thanks for the support! And yes, A Hawk's Plight is also my favorite, shame it was stopped. But now that I think about it… ur ideas can be handy to implement in the future so I'd hold into it if you don't mind!

Danish78: Again, thanks for the support as always and yep I won't slack no more! And also, thanks for the clarification!

The Baz: Well, A Hawk's Plight is my main inspiration in writing this story so yeah, the first few chapters may be similar but, in the future, the story will differ more!
