Something was amiss... is what Arisato Minato and Minako thought.

To most people, everything was normal. They go about their day, living their lives in utter ignorance of the supernatural. However, for the last two members of the Arisato family, that very same normal is what's bugging them in the first place.

"Minato?"

The blue-haired teen looked at his twin sister. Despite being twins, it was often noted that the two looked the complete opposite of each other, not just in personality but also on appearance. However, those who asks could not be blamed as they looked nothing like each other.

"Sakura's here! We gotta hurry or we'll be late!"

Minato then quickly finished washing the dishes. Despite the dorm housing only two people, the amount of dishes that was washed in the sink is equivalent to at least more than five people. The twins were often the targets of envy solely because they, for some unknown reason, still get to keep their figures fit despite consuming an absurd amount of food.

In front of the entrance to the student dormitory was Matou Sakura, their classmate and close friend. They quickly ran over to Homurahara Academy. Thankfully, despite the twins oversleeping a bit, they still managed to make it to class in time.

"Are you okay, Sakura?"

Sakura's body went rigid at Minato's question, and he couldn't blame her for it. After all, the twins just saw her sorry excuse for an elder brother punch his little sister the other day. He and his sister knew that Sakura's home life probably wasn't pleasant, as they learned from their late parents just what kind of life a magi with a long lineage typically lived. But they didn't expect that it would be this bad.

"Yeah. Brother usually isn't like that so please don't worry about it."

It was clear as day that Sakura really doesn't want to talk about it.

Minako but her lip. She obviously wanted to intervene but relented, "...Okay, if you say so."

The hours quickly ticked by. Both of the twins could not focus on the class at all. Because the only things that persisted in their minds were both Sakura's abuse and the... thing that usually happens at midnight. Still, despite their lack of attention, they were able to correctly answer the questions given to them because they were just smart like that.

Minato blinked when he realized that it was already dismissal. Sakura and Minako told him he fell asleep in class again, but he was ignored because the rest of the class were already used to his class naps. The day was over, just like that.

... But not without an incident.

"Hey, freak!"

"He's so creepy. He doesn't even say anything."

The twins and the purple-haired girl's attention were caught by noises just near the school gates. They quickly realized that it was a bunch of kids from the elementary school division judging from their school uniforms. They were surrounding a lone boy and it was clear that they were bullying him.

The poor boy wasn't saying anything nor was he fighting back. He just looked so resigned of the verbal abuse he was talking.

"Hey, why don't you go home crying to your parents? Oh, right! Your parents are dead! I also heard from my mom that your dad killed himself! He was probably so sick of you!"

Hearing those just made Minato clench his fists and Minako to grit her teeth. Sakura also audibly gasped.

Those brats may be just kids, but the fact that they could just callously say those words without remorse just made the blood boil.

Before Minato knew it, he was already stepping in.

"Hey, that's enough, you brats."

Every kid flinched at his cold voice, his tone anything but pleasant. Sure enough, he scared them enough for them to run away like scared animals, running with their tails between their legs.

On the other hand, the boy seemed really surprised that they stepped in ("Huh. He doesn't look Japanese." He thought). Minako and Sakura then quickly approached them, with Minako fretting over the boy like a worried mother while Sakura seemed to recognize him. The sights caused Minato to quirk a smile.

"Are you all right? Did they hurt you anywhere?" Minako asked worriedly, checking him over for injuries.

The boy quickly shook his head, gently pulling himself away from Minako's touch before softly saying, "T-Thank you... They don't really hit me."

He did not answer her first question.

"Akira!"

They see a silver-haired teen running up to them. His hair styled in a bowl-cut. This must be a friend of the kid's — or, Akira's.

"Yu." Akira simply says, walking over to him.

The silver — Yu then gazed at the each one of them before bowing, "Thank you so much for helping him. It seems you beat me to it."

Minato nodded. Yu probably saw him getting bullied and would have been the one to step in had Minato not. He then remembered something and was suddenly looking forward in going home.

Glancing a brief look at Minato, his twin smiled, "Yeah. I hope those kids will back off. By the way, I'm Arisato Minako! And this is my emo twin, Minato!"

And here he thought his twin would finish it quickly.

Yu nodded, smiling back, "My name is Narukami Yu. And..."

Quickly noticing Yu's gaze at him, the boy then introduced himself next, "I'm Akira. Kurusu Akira."

Realizing that Sakura was the only one left, she also went next, even though she felt out of place, "M-My name is Matou Sakura. It's a pleasure to meet you." She says as she bowed.

(No one noticed how Akira's eyes momentarily widened at the reveal of her name.)

Minato was losing his patience, "It's getting late. We should probably head home soon."

Thankfully, all of them readily agreed with him, as it was closing to sundown. Narukami walked home with Kurusu, both because he knew where the boy lived and prevent him from getting ambushed by his bullies again just in case.

As expected, Sakura instead went together with them to their dorms to have dinner with them. Minako was more willing to allow Sakura to stay the night but the timid girl gently refused. Underneath his blank face, Minato did not like her refusal, as he hoped that she would get away from her brother even for just a little bit.

And both of the twins sure as hell don't trust her supposed grandfather, whoever the heck he was, he was probably allowing the abuse to happen.

It was nighttime once they've finished dinner and, to their reluctance, allowed Sakura to go back home alone.

And now, they waited.

Tick, tick, tick...

Minato looked at the time on his phone as Minako continued to watch the clock.

Tick, tick, tick...

The clock continued to tick away. Despite the TV being on, each second of the clock was so loud that the ticking was nearly deafening. Only half a minute away...

Tick, tick, tick...

Ding!

12:00 AM

Both of the twins blinked.

At first, they looked around, realizing that nothing had changed. The TV was still on, their phones were still working and the water on the desk was still... water. Minako opened the window for a moment to see that the sky was still the color of midnight blue and the crescent moon was as white as it normally is.

No coffins, no blood, no green sky.

In the end, once they did go to sleep, their minds were only filled with confusion.

It was 2:00am when I finished this. So this chapter's a mess.

Just to note everyone who has already seen my previous Fate/Persona works (like Persona 5: Master of Assassin for example), this is a Fate/Persona AU that I have given more thought than the previous ones. However, the plot is still a complete mess in my head and not fully planned so I would really appreciate any ideas suggestions in the comments on how to progress the plot (that is, if I ever get the motivation to do so).

Though, I say that, I am actually just writing this for fun so there aren't any update schedules.

Also, I'm pretty sure there will be mistakes on Magecraft here in this story (because it's far too complicated for me to fully understand) due to my lack of knowledge on the history of magic.

So if any of you see my mistakes or magic/magecraft bs, let's... just look away and pretend it's part of the story.

(Edit)
After many hours of trying to research the magic system of the Fate Series, I have completely given up and decided to alter the lore of Fate of this AU more than I should and make this more Persona-prominent because I said so. Also expect many Harry Potter reference.

I love hearing your opinions so comments/reviews are greatly appreciated!

Question(s) for Readers (More will be added):
1.) What do you guys think will be the Arcana of the Fate cast? Both Master and Servant?

2.) What do you think will be the Personas of Rin, Sakura, Illya and Bazett? (If it ever comes down to that)
