It had been a while since Wysteria had started walking to the Accelgor Guild with Trace and Eeva, but she could still feel Eeva's icy glare from before. What's her problem?

She heard the two talking as they walked in front of her, seemingly still on the topic of the thieves stealing supplies from their guild. Occasionally, Trace would look back to make sure that she was still there. When he did, she'd smile and wave, but then he'd go back to talking with Eeva.

Basically, she'd been left alone with her thoughts.

She hated when that happened. But, seeing as she didn't have much of a choice, she confronted her thoughts head-on.

You're a Pokemon now. You're walking with two other Pokemon you just met to their guild. What happens then?

She rolled her eyes at her own question. I'll just go with it, I guess. I've done things like that before. I think.

This is much different, you know that. You weren't always a Pokemon, and you need to tell them that. That's how it's supposed to go, is it not?

If they don't know, I'm just another Pokemon to them. That's better for all parties involved.

She could feel her mind trying to refute that statement. Is it? Is it really?

I think so. Which means you should, too. She tried to leave it there, but she could still feel the thoughts nagging at the back of her head. She opted to ignore them instead.

Attempting to keep her mind clear, she watched as the rolling plains they walked through slowly pass them by. This kept her calm until she nearly bumped into Trace and Eeva. She'd realized they had stopped just in time. She saw why, as well.

"This is it," Trace said, turning to Wysteria and beaming. "The Accelgor Guild!"

In front of them lay an impressive structure, a massive stone dome covered in blue cloth-like wraps, similar to an Accelgor's own. A massive doorway had been carved into the side they were facing, housing a set of two massive wooden doors.

Trace walked to the doors and knocked, the doors slowly opening almost immediately after. They revealed a lone Pokemon.

"Guildmaster Accelgor!" Trace remarked. "I didn't expect you to answer for us."

Accelgor chuckled. "Hello to you as well, Trace. I've actually been waiting here for some time."

Eeva cocked her head. "Why's that? You're almost never outside your office."

"I'm simply waiting for someone, that is all," Accelgor replied.

"Who is it?" asked Trace.

"A human. I requested one a while ago for some... urgent matters, but one hasn't arrived yet."

Wysteria tensed up but didn't move from her spot slightly behind Eeva. What!?

Trace's eyes narrowed, confusion evident on his face. "A human? I thought those didn't exist."

Eeva sighed. "They do, Trace. They've saved the world quite a few times, from what I've heard."

Accelgor nodded, looking quite crestfallen. "Indeed they have. But I fear... I fear we may be in some danger. That's why I requested one."

Wysteria's anger grew quickly, but she still did not move. Requested!? Like an Amazon delivery? I'm not just some package, weirdo. She looked over at Trace to see he was shaking.

"We're in danger!?" he shouted. "That's- that's horrible!"

"Calm yourself, young one. That hasn't been confirmed quite yet. My request was more of a... precaution."

Trace took a deep breath, attempting to calm himself. "Okay." He paused for a moment. "So... what's this human gonna look like? I've heard they're pretty tall."

Eeva scoffed at this. "Don't you remember? Any human that's shown up here has looked like a Pokemon." She looked up at Accelgor. "Speaking of which, how will you know when the human shows up? If they look like any average Pokemon, it will be quite hard to tell."

"I am aware of this fact, but I'm sure they'll proclaim themselves when they get here." It was then he noticed Wysteria. "Who's this?"

Eeva glanced behind her, seemingly just remembering Wysteria had come with them. "Oh. Right. This is... what was your name again?"

"I- I'm Wysteria," said Wysteria, stepping out from behind Eeva. "I-"

It was then that time froze, and Wysteria's inner turmoil came back with a vengeance. Well, what will you tell him? You are the human he's been waiting for, it seems. But you're too scared to say so, aren't you?

Time started back up and she found herself midsentence. She decided to go with the flow." -woke up in a forest I didn't recognize, but I found these guys and they're helping me get home."

Accelgor nodded. "I see."

"We decided we'd take her here first," Trace added. "Maybe there's someone who knows the place she lives."

Wysteria tensed up once again, now realizing the new mess she'd made for herself. How do I get around this?! I've only dug myself a bigger hole...

Accelgor stepped aside, extending his arm as if to lead them inside. "Then come on in." He made eye contact with Wysteria. "I'm sure we can find your home."

Trace and Eeva started to walk inside, with Wysteria lagging behind. She trembled slightly as she passed through the doors, her mind racing. She couldn't focus on anything else, so the grand scale of the room inside was lost on her.

Many Pokemon milled about, talking to each other or looking at boards hung up at certain locations along the walls.

"Impressive, isn't it?" Accelgor asked from behind Wysteria, making her jump. "My guild is one of the biggest in Eusleon, and likely the best if I do say so myself."

Wysteria turned to him and nodded, trying to keep the worry off her face. "Yeah, it's p- pretty big alright."

Eventually, the group made their way to the other side of the massive room, where a female Indeedee sat behind a desk. She looked up at them as they approached.

"Ah, Team Headstrong! Have any luck catching those supply thieves?"

Trace looked up at her and scratched the back of his head. "No, unfortunately. My plan... didn't really work as expected."

The Indeedee looked over at Wysteria. "Then who's that?"

Trace started to answer, but Eeva interrupted. "We found her while we were out. She says she's lost, didn't recognize the forest she woke up in or something."

Trace nodded vigorously. "Yeah! We're here to see if we can find where she lives!"

The Indeedee looked at Wysteria again. "Okay. Well then, Aipom, what can you tell me about where you live?"

Time froze again, and again her turmoil forced its way into her mind. You still could tell the truth, you know. Just say you're a human and see what happens.

Time started back up and she had a choice to make. "I'm from a little village... somewhere around here, I assume. It's full of Aipom, like me."

"Does this village have a name?"

She shrugged, hoping to seem somewhat sincere. "Not as far as I know. Aipom aren't the best at naming things."

"Hm." The Indeedee frowned. "I'll ask around, see if anyone here has information on it. I don't remember there being an Aipom village around here, but maybe someone else does." She looked at Trace and Eeva. "Will you two mind if she stays in your room for the night? You did bring her here, after all, and it will probably take a while to pinpoint the location of this village."

Eeva tried to shake her head no but was immediately overshadowed by a loud "Sure!" from Trace.

The Indeedee nodded. "Alright. We'll get you sorted soon, I'm sure," she told Wysteria reassuringly.

Wysteria nodded back. "Thanks." Maybe there's actually an Aipom village around, maybe I really can avoid this whole mess. Maybe-

Her thoughts were interrupted by a tap on her shoulder. She looked over to see Trace smiling at her. "C'mon! Let's go to my and Eeva's room!"

He took her hand in his paw and led her down a set of stairs in the middle of the large room. It appeared the majority of the building was actually underground. He then led her down a narrow hallway, eventually reaching a door that had the words "Team Headstrong" etched into the stone above it.

Trace let go of her hand. "Here we are!" He opened the door and waved her in. Wysteria walked inside to see a smallish dorm type of room. It contained two cushions, one brown and one blue, and a shelf that contained what appeared to be a few personal belongings. She looked up and saw the room was lit by a blue, seemingly electrically charged crystal.

Trace noticed her looking up and said, "Cool, isn't it? That's a Chargestone crystal! it's a lot more efficient than the other light sources other Pokemon around try to use."

Wysteria flinched as Eeva brushed past her and laid down on the brown cushion. "It's not that cool, Trace."

Trace deflated a little but perked right back up almost immediately. "So, Wysteria! How d'you like the room?"

"I like it," Wysteria lied. It does remind me of my apartment, though.

"Oh! Wait! I should get you a cushion to sleep on!" With that, Trace dashed out of the room, leaving Wysteria alone with Eeva.

Wysteria went to go sit down against a wall, but finding how uncomfortable the cold stone was, she tried sitting on her tail-hand instead. It was surprisingly comfortable. She closed her eyes, hoping to get a bit of rest, a bit of separation from her current situation. It didn't last long, though, as Eeva soon interrupted.

"He's mine, you know."

Wysteria opened her eyes. "What?"

"Trace. He's mine." Eeva gave her the same cold stare she'd had before.

"Um, okay." She closed her eyes again.

"I don't think you get it." Wysteria opened her eyes and saw Eeva's face right next to her own.

She quickly leaned back, almost falling off her tail-hand. "I do! I do!"

"You better. You're leaving tomorrow, and I'm never seeing you again. Understand?"

"I- yeah? I thought that was gonna happen anyway. Are- did you really think I'd interfere with... that?"

Eeva walked back to her cushion and laid back down. "I'm just making sure."

As if on cue, Trace walked back into the room, a fitting purple cushion in his arms. He handed it to Wysteria. "Here you go!"

She took the cushion and took it to a far corner of the room, curling up on it after she set it down. Soon, she was asleep, drifting off to the sounds of quiet conversation in the room.

And she was alone with her thoughts once again.
