AN:

Hey all! Two chapters in one day? Yes. Mostly because I forgot to post this on the first one. This is a mash of Legends and Cannon, with Trin being my favorite character from an old videogame that I love. Any of you who have played KOTOR can probably easily guess who Trin is. That being said, enjoy! More chapters will be posted, hopefully weekly for this and the other two stories I have! I have the writing muse again, and I plan on exploiting that as much as I can. Stay safe my fair readers!

Trin sighed and leaned into Carth. Hopefully this time it would work and they would have company other than the two of them in this Force-forsaken place. It wasn't time to go looking for their new potential friend just yet however and as an eerie howl echoed through the halls, the woman tightened her grip on the makeshift vibroblade that she had constructed. Creatures that lived here were, as a whole, completely different from anything that either Carth or Trin had ever seen on any of their trips and adventures through the galaxy. And when they had first ended up in this place, they had been completely defenceless aside from the Force. Now, thankfully they had some makeshift weapons. Like the vibroblade. As the howl echoed again through the empty halls, Trin loosened her grip, waiting. A misshapen canine type creature with green eyes tinged with red trotted unsteadily around a corner. Both humanoids tensed, then sprang. Unfortunately for the creature, the blade struck true and after a momentary thrashing, it fell to the ground dead.

Carth, the man with brown hair and bangs on the right side of his face chuckled, whipping the blood on his stained and tattered battle armor that looked to be at least a century old. "Well at least we've got dinner. And breakfast. And lunch. For a week."

Trin shook her head as she quickly field dressed the hound. "Very true, Padawan-mine." Her tone was full of teasing and affection as she slid away the offal and started wrapping everything edible and useful together inside the skin. "And you're going to cook it, right? Since I was the one to kill it this time." Her grin almost touched her eyes, but she didn't let it. "Let's get this back and then I'll go find our guest. Can't have them coming back to an empty cupboard now can we." This time her smirk lit her eyes and she hauled the surprisingly large skin up. Carth grabbed his end and began hauling it as well.

"You have a good feeling about this one Trin?" His question wasn't as hesitant as it might have once been. They'd been stuck long enough for him to be as interested in her Force feelings. And because he had been having them himself for a while. This place was weird.

The woman tipped her head to one side, thinking. "She is in the will of the Force, it brought her here and kept her safe till I found her. She's here for a reason, Carth. And she just might be our way out of this living hell."

Nodding, the man opened the gate that protected their home and they stepped through, closing it none too soon. A black seemingly dead looking canine of the same persuasion as dinner with an exposed skull slammed into the gate, snapping at imagined things before staggering away.

Both humanoids shuddered.

Now that the meat was cooking, and Carth looked like he wouldn't burn it, Trin shouldered a small bag made of tattered leather and slid the vibroblade into her belt. "I'll go find our guest. Be safe Handsome."

"You need more wishes of safety than I do, Beautiful."

With one last grin to her husband, Trin slipped into the air vent and began to quietly make her way toward the Jedi Padawan that Mission had found for her earlier.

Asoka was bored. Very bored. Being bored was probably one of the worst things that could happen to her, but her Master was by far the worse of the two of them when it came to situations like this one. Staying still wasn't either of their strong points. The howls outside her door had stopped her thoughts of exploration in it's tracks. There were several bangs against her door as well, almost as if something was trying to paw it's way inside. But now things weren't any better because there were sounds coming from the vent. She looked around for some kind of weapon and when she didn't find one, she growled low in her chest.

Trin was smart enough to not exit the vent head first, especially into a room with a probably freaked out Jedi Padawan. First she stuck her foot out, wiggling it around, hoping it didn't get bit or scratched. When nothing happened, or at least nothing bad, she slid her other foot out and after a moment the rest of her followed. Once she landed on the balls of her feet, she turned slowly to see her new guest. Hopefully.

Asoka watched the woman crawled out of the vent and into the room. She was armed with what looked like it might be a vibroblade, and patched together clothing under an old type of fiber armor. Her almost purple eyes held knowledge, age, and understanding, along with power in the Force. It circled around her like a storm ready to break, but even that was somehow comforting. Because the storm wasn't aimed to break at her.

"Hello?" Asoka's voice cracked, not from fear but from disuse, which was odd. She'd only been in this place for a few hours…right?

"Hey, Asoka, right? You probably heard about me from Mission. I'm Trin. Let's get you out of here and somewhere a little safer." She held out her hand and raised an eyebrow, hoping that the Togruta would be fairly easy to convince to come back to the base that was safer than this almost indefensible cell.

Asoka looked the woman up and down. She was a human, but was shabbily dressed in clothing that looked like it was completely out of date, with some kind of armor that she'd never seen before. Before she could say anything, something else rammed against the door to the cell and she jumped, skittering forward a few steps. "Yeah, so where are we going to go?"

Anything would be better than just sitting in here waiting for something to come through that door.
