Fourteen

The sound of his breathing wakes me. Cuddled in his arms, our skin pressed together. I open my eyes and smile at his sleeping face.

Wow.

Moving my body, I cuddle in closer to his chest, pressing light kisses to his neck.

All night. We'd spent all night up. Completely wrapped up in one another.

Once I'd pushed him off the edge he'd been impossible to wind in.

"Morning," he croaks.

"Oh, your morning voice is husky. That's so hot," I kiss his chin.

"Don't start," he warns, hand sliding down my side.

"Or what? Round 60?" I kiss up his jaw.

"Isabella Swan," he sighs with defeat, as I move to straddle him, letting my kisses continue down his neck.

"Full Christian name?" I gasp in pretend terror.

He looks up at me, tired eyes taking me in, appreciatively.

"You're already hard," I feel him pressing into the back of my upper thigh.

"Of course I am. You're sitting on me naked," he yawns, "you're fucking beautiful."

"Am I?" I move my hand behind me so I can grab him in my hand.

"Very much so," he nods, staring at my chest as I move, "every inch of you."

"That's funny because I want every inch of you," I lift my hips to line us up.

"What a way to wake up," his hands take hold of my hips, "go baby. Ride me."

"I won't get to see you like this again until tonight. I need something to get me through the day," I line us up, sink down.

He huffs out a shaky breath as I let out a strangled moan.

"Oh that's it," he nods watching me work, "you're a total vision my baby."

Taking a hold of the bed head behind him, I use it for grip so I can please us both. Moving my hips up and down like it's going to save us.

"God damn," he grunts out, "yes Bella."

I tire, trying my best to keep the tempo.

"You need help?" He asks.

He's entirely awake now. Obviously. As he pulls my chest down to him, placing his feet on the mattress with a bended knee.

Moaning into his skin, I bury my face in his shoulder as he thrusts up into me. Skin slapping as he unleashes.

"Shit," I gasp out between moans.

He's deeper than I thought possible. Hitting the perfect spot over and over.

"I'm coming," I moan into his sweaty skin.

He kisses my face. My cheeks, my forehead.

"Ready?" He huffs out breathlessly.

All I can do is nod. Intensity and speed pick up as my orgasm rips through me. As orgasm rips through him.

We call out. Together.

So enthralled with one another we don't hear anything else.

Including the "fuck! I'm sorry"

I scream and drag the covers over my body, covering myself as I turn to find my best friend covering her eyes at the end of the bed.

"What are you doing?" I call out.

"Coming… ahhh. I mean I," Rosalie stammers out, "Alice is waiting on us upstairs to start getting ready. There's breakfast."

I glance at Edward who's rubbing his face with his hands.

"You two have fun?" Rosalie awkwardly asks.

"Oh my god," I pick up a pillow and throw it at her hard.

"I'll let you guys finish… sounded like you were both there but," she turns her back on us.

Edward picks up a pillow beside us, throwing it faster and harder at my friend as she scurries out of the room laughing.

I glance at him and brace for embarrassment. Yelling or crankiness. But he's smiling at me, awkwardly.

"Shower?" He asks.

"Alice might come down next," I warn as he sits up, kissing my shoulder.

"Let her. She doesn't scare me," he chuckles.

"Yes she does," I smack his chest.

"Only when she stomps her foot. That's when you know a tantrum is about to erupt," he watches me get out of the bed.

"I'm showering. It's going to be a five minute shower max," I point at him as I head toward the bathroom, "if you're up for the challenge I'm all yours."

"Any chance to get you wet," he throws the cover back, darting after me.

"You look sensational," I whisper to Alice as I fix her veil, covering her face, "remember don't wipe your eyes."

She's already teary.

"Thank you," she chokes out, "for all of this. I can't believe we're almost over."

"Over?" I raise an eyebrow.

"Your work is done after this," she readjusts her bouquet in her hands.

"Done? I'm nowhere near done with you," I smile warmly, "Alice. I'm your best friend."

"You don't have to pretend," she shakes her head.

"I'm not," I rub her arm comfortingly, "I mean it with my whole heart. I love you. I've come to learn how kind, funny and caring you are. As if I'd let that go."

"You've made my wedding so much more magical," she grabs my hand, pulling it into her chest as she speaks from her heart, "please never stop being you. What you've done for me… I'll never be able to thank you enough. I'm marrying my everything but in the process I've won everything too."

"Oh Alice," I try to hold back tears, moving in for a cuddle.

She holds me tight as I try to avoid crushing her dress or flowers.

"You're not getting rid of me," I promise, "I'm here for good after today. I don't know about the other girls but you're more than some woman that hired me. Now you're my sister. I don't want anything from this but you. Do you understand? If you dare transfer me a cent I'll kick your ass. You just have to promise to be available for my wedding."

"Ready?" Carlisle interrupts us with a sheepish smile, before she can reply.

He stares lovingly at his daughter.

"Let's do this," Alice nods, letting me go, "please don't let me trip daddy."

Carlisle smiles at her, offering his arm.

"Never," he shakes his head.

As the music starts they open up the doors for us. Each of the women on my team gave me a nod, even Tanya behaving today. Surprisingly enough.

When it's my turn, I blow one last kiss at Alice, before stepping into the room. Holding my flowers, I grip them with all hope not to fall. I have no father holding me to catch me.

With my head held high, I take a step toward the front of the room. Thinking about what I've actually accomplished.

A woman is walking toward the man of her dreams behind me, feeling loved. Not the kind of love she was going to always get. The love only friendship can offer.

Then I glance at him. He catches my eye. His smile, his eyes running up and down my body. He's lit from within in a way that no human in my presence has ever been before.

I let out a slow breath as I near the end of the aisle. Jasper gives me a warm smile. He looks incredibly handsome in his black tux. Like a blonde, cowboy version of Keanu Reeves in John Wick.

"She's stunning," I step into Jasper, press a kiss on his cheek, "congratulations."

"Thank you for all of it," he whispers back, "I'm glad you're here now. In our lives."

I squeeze his arm before turning to join the other girls, offering Rose a 'we did it' wink.

All of the bridesmaids look sensational. Alice had styled our hair up in wavy ponytails, keeping our makeup soft and simple. Peonies had come through for her, with all our bouquets smelling like moving meadows.

Edward manages to catch my eye. I offer him a smile as he winks.

"You look beautiful," he mouths to me.

Shaking my head I look back up the aisle. Waiting for the moment I'd been patient for since meeting her in the cafe. When she steps into the room, I swear everyone's breathing halts.

On the arm of her father she floats down the aisle in a sea of white. Smiling and waving at familiar guests, before locking those stunning brown eyes on her groom.

His emotion gets the better of him as he tears up, rubbing his eyes with his finger and thumb.

"Woah," Rosalie whispers.

The full, billowing skirt and train move with her. The elegant fabric draped at her neckline and at the slit in the skirt, giving her a little bit of sexy. It's strapless, simple. No lace, just satin. Her hair is down, with elegant Hollywood waves. A clip to pin half of it back. Her veil has small pearls sewed in, adding dimension.

When she approaches the end of the aisle, she smiles as her father lifts the veil over her head. Carlisle gives her a kiss on her cheek, before turning to shake Jasper's hand.

As soon as she stands in position I step forward to fan out her train and veil, ready for the photographer's taking. Then I take her bouquet of fresh peonies, roses and foliage from her hand so she can take ahold of Jasper's.

I'm emotionally doing okay throughout the ceremony. I make it through Jasper's vows and then Alice destroys us all.

"Jasper. I always thought I was difficult to love. On most days I am. When you found me I was scattered into a million pieces of self doubt, fear and anxiety. But you fixed me with love, reassurance and your world famous apple pies," she begins, earning a laugh from her guests.

I feel Rosalie's hand slip into mine, giving it a gentle squeeze. Her eyes are teary too.

"You taught me every piece of a puzzle doesn't have to fit perfectly. Love exists even in the most fragile and broken forms. I vow that regardless of how broken we find ourselves in the years ahead from life, from stress, from petty bickering about the TV remote, I'll love you," she clears her throat, "you get me officially today. To tell the world I'm your wife. We both know it makes zero difference. Because I was yours from the moment you said hello to me. I love you and I can't wait for every single tomorrow we'll get to share."

Jasper is almost a blubbering mess as he looks into her eyes. I begin to reach for my bra, hoping I stuffed a tissue down there. But Edward beats me to it, pulling a tissue out from his tux pocket, handing it over his shoulder.

Through the guest's own tears, they laugh.

Edward catches my eye as the celebrant lets them kiss. He offers me a smile with so much meaning. So much secrecy. A silent conversation of feelings passed to me wordlessly.

The celebrant declares Alice and Jasper married after their mother's sign their marriage certificate as witnesses. As they're showered in confetti, heading back up the aisle I move toward Edward, wrapping my arm through his so we can follow.

"You look incredible," he whispers to me.

Once the couple are showered with congratulations from their guests, we're ushered away for photos. We take some with the couple before the bridal party is dismissed to relax until our reception job begins.

"So you and Edward," the weight on the chair shifts as Tanya takes a seat beside me, "I don't blame you."

I glance at her feeling guarded immediately.

"I'm not out to flirt with him or rip him away," she holds her hands up defensively, "there's always been a little tension between us. I'm not sure why. But after today and what you've done… I'm proud to have helped with this."

"Thanks," I nod, "we did good."

"We did," she whispers, "you're a beautiful person. I hope I get to have a maid of honour as caring as you someday. Perhaps I'll hire you for myself."

I smile warmly at her, wrapping my arm around her to give her a hug.

"Name the place and time," I laugh.
