The day had finally come - the first day of the tour. They were kicking it off with a 2-day concert in Toronto, then hitting a few cities in Canada before making their way down to America. The Drama Brothers' album ended up being a smash hit, as predicted, which meant the tour was an easy sell to their fans. Additionally, everyone loved Trent's song about Nicole, which pushed Nicole and Trent to finally go public about their relationship.

The Drama Brothers started rehearsals immediately after the album release. They worked for 5 days a week in preparation for the tour, with Nicole and Noah coming along to spend time getting to know the stage crew to learn the ins and outs of all the technical and behind-the-scenes aspects of putting together the summer North American tour. Though neither of them wanted to do this as a career, it was still exciting for both of them to witness. They also have an opening act, Yazmin. She was one year out of high school and had become really popular among teens and young adults in Canada. She had just been signed on by their record label and they wanted her to come on this tour to see how she would do in America.

Noah and Nicole were dressed in black from head-to-toe and had Spencer and Hannah shadowing them throughout the night. Since this was a local show, Nicole and Noah, with permission, had let them come backstage for the first show of the tour. Noah and Nicole knew how much Spencer and Hannah would miss them this summer and wanted to do something special for them before they left. Bethany and Joshua had wanted to come and experience the concert, but Bethany came down with last-minute food poisoning. The four of them along with Yazmin watched as the Drama Brothers took a bow for the end of the concert, then waved to their fans as they gained a rush of adrenaline and headed backstage to Noah and Nicole.

"Great job, you guys. You really rocked it out there." Yazmin said to the Drama Brothers. Yazmin had brown skin and wavy red-dyed hair with brown eyes and freckles around her pointed nose. She had three piercings on each ear and wore a white crop top, a red pencil skirt, fishnet tights, and white Doc Marten boots past her ankles. She also wore fingerless black gloves and had a black heart temporary tattoo on her right cheek, which was fading due to the sweat.

"Hey, thanks! You were great, too." Harold said.

"Soon you'll be going on your own tour." Trent told her.

"You really think so?" She said, smiling. Yazmin had gotten to see the Drama Brothers in action during technical rehearsals, and as a huge fan of Total Drama, she felt on cloud nine getting to make her tour debut alongside them.

"I know so!" He said. "I gotta run, I'll see you guys tomorrow night!" She gave each of the Drama Brothers a hug as she headed towards her dressing room, leaving the boys with Nicole, Noah, Hannah, and Spencer. Cody walked over to Noah to give him a hug.

"Great job. But you're getting your sweat all over me." Cody laughed as he pulled away.

"Get used to it." Cody chuckled.

"Sweat isn't the only thing that'll be on you tonight, am I right, Cody?" Justin joked. The boys went silent, and Trent, with Nicole around his arm, swatted him.

"This venue is so much bigger than the stop we had in Toronto last tour, and we have another sold-out crowd tomorrow night!" Trent announced.

"It's gonna be a great summer if we continue to work together." Harold said.

"God, I can't wait to get to America." Justin said.

"Me too. I've only ever been there for World Tour when we went to New York City." Cody said.

"I can't wait to go to California and see Disneyland!" Trent said.

"I can't wait to see all the girls we'll be touring for. If you know what I mean." Justin chuckled at himself, which made the group uncomfortable. Noah cleared his throat.

"There are children here." Noah mentioned. Justin swatted at him.

"They're fine, they'll forget what I said tomorrow. This one's got earplugs in still." He said, pointing to Hannah. "Meet you guys on the bus." Justin began to walk away, which filled everyone with relief.

"Well, we should probably go make sure the loading crew's doing okay." Noah said.

"Yeah, and we still have to bring these two home." Nicole added.

"You know we didn't actually hire you to be a real assistant." Trent said. "We just wanted you to be able to come with us."

"Don't worry about it, we'll see you tomorrow night." Nicole said. Trent kissed Nicole goodbye, and the four of them began to make their way outside. Noah helped Hannah take out her earplugs as they walked over to his car.

"That was amazing!" Hannah exclaimed.

"I'm so jealous you'll be doing this all summer!" Spencer screamed.

"I wish we could come with you." Hannah cried.

"Yeah, it's not too late! Pleeeease?" The two of them made a sad puppy-dog face and clasped their hands together as they looked at the twins. Noah ruffled Hannah's hair as he opened the car door for the two of them to go into.

"I'm sorry, guys." Nicole said. "You can't come. But you know what? We're gonna bring you back gifts from the United States." Spencer and Hannah perked up as Spencer put his seatbelt on in the back seat.

"Really?" Spencer exclaimed.

"Of course." Noah said as him and Nicole went to the front seat and buckled their seatbelts. "Is everyone buckled in?"

"Yes!" They both said.

"Good. We gotta get you home, tomorrow is your last day of school!"

"Yaaaay!" They cheered. Noah began to reverse out of the parking spot, then made his way to the exit.

Four Weeks Later

The Drama Brothers were halfway into their summer tour. Everyone was having a blast. They would do four shows in a row, then got a day off. If they weren't using that day off to travel to the next destination or the Drama Brothers weren't using it as extra rehearsal time, the twins would spend time with Trent and Cody being tourists in their tour stop. The times not spent with their partners, Noah and Nicole had twin bonding time. It was Nicole's first time in America, and she wanted to savor it all. She brought a telescope so she could study the stars and space at night. Being in America and seeing how the night fell in different cities made her even more passionate about the field of Astronomy.

They were currently in their second of four shows in Texas. The fans had been incredibly adoring over the Drama Brothers, and Noah and Nicole had fun experiencing the state despite the summer heat. They came backstage for every show to oversee everything, but tonight, the Drama Brothers would learn to be more than grateful for them to be there. Cody and Trent, already dressed for their show, came running to them just before their opening act was set to be on. They looked stressed, and the building was already allowing fans to come into the venue.

"We have an emergency situation," Trent told them.

"Is everything okay?" Nicole asked with caution.

"Yazmin is sick. She's throwing up in the bathroom. We just finished our VIP line so we didn't hear about it till now. We start in an hour, I don't know what to do." Trent explained. "I'll give that barbecue place we went to hell, I tell you." Nicole drew herself closer to Trent, putting her hand on his arm to calm him down.

"We have to have an opener." Cody told them.

"I don't see how we're going to find someone so last-minute." Cody got closer to him aside, holding his shoulder and looking at the twins. Noah began to realize why Cody and Trent came to them, and crossed his arms.

"Nope, I won't do it. I can't." He puffed.

"Nicole, you're a natural at guitar! And Noah, you have a great voice. We're desperate. It would just be for one night. We have an off-day tomorrow, so hopefully Yazmin can recover by our next show."

He looked over at Nicole, who gave the idea a thought. She had only ever performed with her jazz band at her school, as she had too much stage fright to perform solo.

"If I do guitar for you, you have to sing mom's song." Nicole told him. Noah gulped as he remembered the song their mom would sing to them before bed. He hadn't sung it, or anything, really, other than Total Drama, in years. He looked over to Cody, who batted his puppy-dog eyes at Noah, which he knew Noah couldn't say no to.

"Please? For me?" Noah uncrossed his arms and gave a deep breath.

"We'll do it." Trent and Cody breathed a sigh of relief.

"You're really helping us out here." Trent kissed the top of Nicole's head, walking out with Cody. "Good luck! You can use my guitar, babe, it's in the van." He dug the keys out from his pocket, throwing them at Nicole.

"But wait, we don't even have anything to we-" It was too late, as Cody and Trent had gone back to their dressing rooms to tell Justin and Harold the good news. The two of them looked at each other, stumped.

"I think I saw a Wal-Mart across the street." Nicole said. "We can talk about what we'll do on the way there. We have to kill thirty minutes, so we have to figure out what you're gonna sing."

"You have a really nice voice too, Nicole. You should sing mom's song with me." She looked down and held her hand to her forehead, regressing to her shy form.

"I don't know. It's been a really long time. And in front of all those people?"

"We'll talk about it on the way. Come on." The two of them jogged to the van, and sat down for a minute before starting the ignition.

"So from what I remember, it goes, I swear that I'll stay, even when the sky turns gray-" Nicole began to sing with him.

"'cause the sun ran away—" They both looked at each other, tearing up and laughing.

"We can't do that on stage." Nicole said.

"Do what?" He asked.

"Cry." She said as he started the van.

Nicole and Noah were dressed in the best wear the local Texas Wal-Mart could offer - Nicole found a grey and white striped sleeveless jumpsuit that went down to her mid-calf, and Noah was wearing a blue jean jacket with blue slacks and a button-down shirt that had the American flag on it. They were nearly done with their set, and Cody and Trent watched in amazement from the wings.

Neither of them wanted to admit it, but they were absolutely terrified. They figured out what songs Noah knew by heart and what Nicole knew on guitar and had gone through as much as they could in the little time they were given to prepare. Yazmin's band even agreed to help them out as well, which was a big help to them. The audience had been overwhelmingly positive, and they only hoped they'd keep this energy throughout the last song, the hardest one for them to sing emotionally and physically. Since this was such a personal song for both of them, Yazmin's band agreed to let them perform it alone, so they had left the stage. Other than the rock and roll challenge from Finland in Ridonculous Race for Noah, they truly had no experience doing this sort of thing. As the lights dimmed for the last song, they braced themselves for what was to come.

"We really appreciate the love you've given us tonight." The audience cheered as the two got closer to the mic and Nicole tuned her guitar.

"This song is really special to both of us. It was a song our mother used to sing to us every night when we were kids." Noah cleared his throat, trying to get rid of the tears that were beginning to form. "We hope you enjoy it."

The lights had adjusted to a warm blue as they began to sing and set the mood for the song. As they sang their song, they felt themselves tearing up. It was a slow song and only three minutes, but it felt like an eternity as they finally got to the last part of the song. They both looked to each other as they sang together.

"I swear that I'll stay, even when the sky turns gray 'cause the sun ran away, even when you feel blue 'cause I'm not with you, my love still remains, I swear that I'll stay." They held out their last note and looked at each other as the crowd went wild, yelling out their support from the stands. They were both ready to burst with tears as they stood next to each other, holding hands as they gave a bow together.

"Thank you guys so much for the support." Noah said with sincerity, his voice all choked up while restraining himself from crying. "There will be a 20-minute intermission, then it's the Drama Brothers, the real stars of the night, so hold on tight."

"Thanks for the love." Nicole said as they walked off. As they left, the crew immediately began to set up for the Drama Brothers. Trent and Cody looked to the two of them, ready to congratulate their individual partners, but stayed where they were as their eyes laid on Noah and Nicole as they began to sob. As they hugged, their knees gave out and they fell to the floor. Trent and Cody gave the twins their space as they had never seen them like this.

"Why did we ever tell mom we were getting too old for her songs?" Nicole said through tears.

"I don't know." Noah replied, sniffling. "If something like Heaven exists, I really hope they were watching up there."

"Me too." Nicole said, picking her head up and looking at Noah. She waited to speak again until she had calmed down. "I had a great time. Thank you."

"So does this mean you'd do it again?" Cody said to ease the tension. Nicole laughed through her tears, wiping her face with her outfit as she looked up to him.

"Absolutely not." She began to fan her eyes as Noah got up from the floor and helped her up. "I haven't cried like that over mom and dad for a long time."

"It feels good, doesn't it?" Noah whispered to her.

"What?" Nicole asked.

"Being vulnerable." She lightly punched his shoulder.

"I'm sorry, I forgot you're the king of vulnerability now." Nicole giggled.

She looked over at Trent and hugged him as she sniffled her tears, trying not to dirty his performance clothes with her tears. He kissed the top of her head as Cody leaned in for a hug to Noah as well, giving him a smooch on the lips as he cradled Noah's jaw in front of his face and wiped his tears.

"You really saved us out there. If we had the first thirty minutes of nothing, people would have been upset." Trent said as Harold and Justin walked over to the wings.

"I'm gonna go take a bathroom break before we go up." Cody said. He looked over to Noah again. "I'm really proud of you, Noah. I know it wasn't easy for you."

He looked over to Nicole and gave her a hug. "You too, Nicole. I knew you had it in you."

"Thank you, Cody." She smiled. Cody began to walk out to the dressing rooms.

The show had ended and the Drama Brothers, Noah, and Nicole made their way through the back of the venue, rushing through a sea of fans behind a bodyguard to get to the tour bus. The twins and the rest of the band sighed a breath of relief as they sat down, happy to be in the AC of their familiar tour bus.

"If you say it in front of Yazmin I'll deny it, but your set really fueled our energy for the night." Justin told them. "Really good stuff."

"That was epic." Harold told them as the driver began to start the bus. "You could totally do that for every stop for the rest of the tour." Nicole looked at Noah, her eyes widening as she mouthed 'no' to him.

"I don't think we're ready for that just yet." Noah said for them. "Great show tonight, though."

"Oh come on, we do this every night. This should be about you! You two were great!" Harold said, glaring at Noah and Nicole.

"I'm just kind of embarrassed we fell to the floor crying." Nicole said, looking at Trent.

"Don't be. It was a sentimental song to you both." Trent said, letting Nicole lay on his shoulder as the bus began to move. The two sighed as they put in their headphones to listen to some music as the crew embarked to their next destination, Austin, Texas.

"Just for the record, your voice had somehow gotten better since I last heard it. And I'm not counting your World Tour voice." Noah smiled at Cody. "I know you guys don't think doing this was a big deal, but it really did save us. So, thanks for doing it."

"You don't have to keep thanking us. We were happy to help." Noah chuckled.

"I'm really glad you came with us on tour. Trent, Harold, and Justin are great, but I would have missed you so much if you stayed behind." Cody told him. As they settled in and the bus started moving, Noah got a video call from Bethany. He quickly answered it.

"Bethany?" He asked.

"Noah! Where's Nicole?"

"I'll get her." He motioned over to Nicole, and Cody got up to let her sit with Noah for the video call. He showed Nicole on the camera, who waved over to Bethany.

"I saw your videos online of you two performing. Oh my gosh. You were amazing!"

"Thank you!" Joshua popped onto the screen and waved hello.

"We have a really big announcement to make. We don't want to take away from your big night, but we've been waiting to tell you for a few weeks."

"What is it?" Nicole asked. Joshua looked over to Bethany.

"You tell them." Joshua said.

"Okay… I'm pregnant." Noah and Nicole looked over to the camera, wide-eyed and gasping.

"You're pregnant?!" Nicole exclaimed.

"Yep!" She said.

"How long have you known?" Noah asked.

"We found out the night before the first concert. I'm sorry we didn't tell you sooner. We also just couldn't wait till you were home. You're going to be an aunt and uncle again." Bethany stated with tears in her eyes. "Ugh, damn hormones."

"Well that's amazing, congratulations." Cody said, who was listening in.

"Thank you, Cody. Okay, we'll let you go." Bethany said.

"I sent your video to Aunt Amelia. You should call her tomorrow." Joshua said, referencing their mom's song.

"I will. See you guys." He said.

"Congratulations again." Cody said as the phone hung up. Noah put the phone in his lap as he thought about what just happened and turned over to Nicole.

"Wow. They're having another baby." Nicole said as she let Cody back into his seat and walked back to her seat with Trent.

"Who is?" Trent asked.

"Bethany and Joshua." Nicole told him as she walked back over to him.

"No way! Your family is growing." He said.

"As if we weren't big enough." Noah remarked. As he got comfortable in his seat again, he looked over to Cody as he selfishly thought what this meant for him. Another baby meant they needed the extra room Noah and Cody were currently occupying. He knew that he wouldn't live with Bethany and Joshua forever, but he didn't think this was the sort of thing that would have happened for him to realize it's time to move on.

"I've been thinking about what I'm going to do after the summer. And Bethany and Joshua's announcement really solidified that."

"Spill." Cody said, listening intently.

"I think I want to go back to school."

"Yeah?"

"I'm ready. And, now that there's a new baby on the way, I think it's also time to move out. And I want you to go with me."

"I already live with you, Noah. Of course I would follow you to wherever you go." Cody said, squeezing his hand.

"I want to stay close to everything. I was thinking of going back to school again. I want to study art and I'm determined to stay. No leaves of absences, no leaving for another show. I'm ready to get on with my life."

"Whatever you do, I'll follow you. Even if you decide to study in Sweden." Cody smiled. Noah grabbed his headphones, plugging them into his phone.

"I downloaded the next few episodes of Stranger Things. You wanna watch?" Cody took one half of his earbuds.

"I would love that." Noah pressed play on the episode as Cody leaned back on his shoulder.

A/N: This has got to be my favorite chapter I've written for The New Noah. I started writing this chapter in August, as I got so excited looking at past notes of what we envisioned for Noah on tour.

This was one of our first ideas when we wanted to incorporate the Drama Brothers into the story - and the lullaby was written immediately by my co-writer Emma! I have absolutely no song lyric ability unfortunately, so I was super grateful she had an idea (in fact, the short lyrics of the song Trent wrote for Nicole came loosely from a song lyric generator).

These next few chapters will follow the Drama Brothers on tour. I also plan on getting some commissions done based on this chapter and a few after it, so definitely tune in to my Fanfiction tumblr to see it!

I also wanted to say I've noticed a few new followers/reviewers and I just wanted to say thank you so much for all your reviews. I've been writing this alone for some time now and it feels really nice to have that validation from you guys. Nothing I ever write gets a ton of reviews so I never expect much anyhow.

Finally, I posted a one-shot of Nicole and Trent when they met again a few weeks after the concert in Nicole's hometown. Nicole tells the story of how her and Trent connected and started going out in chapter 6, and I have been wanting to do a oneshot on this love story for the longest time! In the TD Writers Discord server I have (PM me for the link!) we did a monthly writing challenge, Love and Friendship Week, so the timing was perfect. :)
