A young boy named Hitasu had just applied for a Ranger school and took the entrance exam a week prior, but today, he would be the one to join the school as a new student. He rode in a small car driven by the principal himself, He didn't seem like a strict person or even one who would let you get away with anything. He was an honest man you could talk your troubles away with, he would never lie, but he had never said a harsh truth in such a way that it had hurt. He was approachable, kind, and friendly.

"So, Hitasu, I hear that you're from Kanto, correct?"

"T-that's right" While he felt excited, he also felt nervous and awkward, two different emotional responses. Even so, Hitasu wasn't even sure if he was supposed to be feeling that way.

"Come on now, no need to be nervous, We get new students all the time, its nothing to be worried about, at this school everyone has the same passion, We'll be glad to have you here,"

"Thanks, I'm just, a little scared is all, usually I never feel like this, but now that I'm here, I'm not even sure what to do"

"Is that all? That's quite normal for you to be nervous, and there's nothing to worry about, just be yourself and you'll do great as a student." He said kindly"Although you're the second student to be recommended by a Pokémon Professor Oh, it looks like We're here, feel free to talk to me if you have any trouble, parking the car as they both stepped out, Hitasu had a single backpack with sketchbooks, pencils, and notebooks full of visual notes and drawings of how to use a styler, he wanted to be prepared, but he still was fearful it could go wrong, the worst part was he had no idea how it could.

"Welcome to Almia, I know you probably didn't get to see much of the region, but I assure you, you'll be able to see it all " A female teacher had said to him "I'm Mrs. April, I'll be teaching you this year"

"I-I'm Hitasu...I-it's nice to meet you," He said with a body stiff as wood. it was clear that he was extremely nervous.

"Don't you worry about a thing, as a student, you're treated all the same, so there's no need to be nervous"

"Right" He shook his head

"Now just follow me, I'll show you to your dorm room," She said leading him inside and upstairs then showing him two different doors, one was blue while the other was Blue"The Ranger dorm rooms are over there" She pointed at the blue door then lead him through it and to the farthest door numbered by twenty-B

"Is this just my room?"

"Well, yes and no. You'll have three other roommates, and here" She pulled out a slip of paper with his room number written on it."If you ever forget, it's written down here"Hitasu placed it in his pocket

"Thanks a lot!" He smiled.

"Alright then, if you'll follow me, I'll take you to my class" She led him back downstairs and into the room

"Class, I'd like you to meet your new student," She began to say then whispering into his ear, "I think you should be the one to introduce yourself"

"O-oh, H-i I'm ranger school, thank you f-for welcoming me to Hitasu," He said faster than normal then he looked away embarrassed"I-I meant I'm H-hitasu, thank you for welcoming me to the ranger school..."He was not one who did things nervously, in fact, he almost never acted like that.

The class then greeted him in unison "welcome Hitasu!"

"I'm hoping you'll fit right in, for now, get to know your class, I just have to get some things set up for you"

"O-oh okay" He seemed a little panicked, but he was just getting started at school, so he knew that it would eventually get better

Mrs. April then left the room leaving Hitasu with all the other classmates. They began crowding around him greeting him as well as welcoming him, they were all kind, it was easy to tell that they weren't faking or even lying.

"Hitasu, Here we have a team of three each, meaning you'll be on Team Blue along with Keith and Erica" A male student explained

"That would be us!" Erica grabbed his hand, lightly pulling him towards her table with Keith

"So you're new? Let me guess it took you an hour to capture that Pichu in the entrance exam" Keith said with a sneer leaving Hitasu intimidated and slightly frozen from fear

"Keith, don't treat him like that, besides you have to capture it in under thirty minutes to pass the test"She explained" Hitasu, don't worry about Keith, he's just a show-off"

"O-okay..."

Soon the Teacher came back holding both a device and a laminated card."Alright, Hitasu, this is your Student id, and your student Styler, don't lose either of them"She gave a slight glare showing her serious face. She was known as a kind teacher, but many students still feared her due to her temper and punishments.

"Anyways class, you remember that today a Pokémon Ranger will come for Outdoor class" She explained, everyone was overall, excited, Hitasu, however, was quite nervous and confused.

Everyone headed outside with the Ranger already being there with a single pokémon next in his ginger hair, It seemed to be a small Shaymin with an aqua blue Flower instead of a normal pink one

"Is that everyone, Mrs. April?" The ranger asked

"Yes, this is everyone, welcome back, I'm sure you all recognize Mr. Akimaro, don't you? and I wish you'd at least brush your hair" She seemed to mutter the last part under her breath

"Hey there everyone, I'm sure you all remember me, and Hey, I don't believe I've seen you before, Name's Claus, Nice to meetcha"He smiled standing in front of Hitasu, Claus looked older than them, not by that much, Two or three years older at least"

"H-hi!" He squeaked out barely being heard when he returned to the middle of the crowd. Claus started answering questions as Hitasu noticed some bubbles in the water, they weren't just air bubbles, they were larger many smaller ones around them, the final thing he noticed was large amounts of sand were visible from that view, which shouldn't be possible, by instinct Hitasu stood up, quickly taking off his clothes, which was a normal white T-shirt, a grey knit hat, and blue shorts to show a black and dark blue wet suit as he jumped into the ocean

"W-wait Hitasu, Where are you going!?" The teacher called seeing he was now too deep to hear anything

"What do you think he's doing?" Erica asked looking at Keith seeing Claus look where Hitasu once did

" He's saving a Pokémon"He then placed a metal device in his mouth to allow him to breathe underwater and followed Hitasu. Claus swam down to find Hitasu struggling to lift a large piece of a sunken boat and a Piplup stuck under it. Claus began lifting from the other side without it budging. He had to act quick, Hitasu looked like he was running out of the air and they couldn't lift it on their own, Claus looked around finding a wild Sharpedo, and began drawing loops around it with his Syler. It had worked successfully for it understood his friendship and bashed into the large metal breaking it apart to allow Hitasu and Claus to lift it.

Unfortunately, Hitasu had run out of his air from holding his breath and seemed to try and desperately return to the surface, he had just barely made it holding the injured Piplup in his arms and took a large breath of air trying to regulate his airflow.

"You okay now Piplup?" He asked as it gestured towards its left fin."I understand, I know I have some medicine in my bag" Soon Claus had surfaced as well with Hitasu helping him out of the water.

"You're not bad kid, you'll make a great ranger one day"

"Really? Thanks, I just saw bubbles and sand thinking a Pokémon was stuck under it"

"You noticed it before I did, what's your name?"

"Hitasu, Hitasu Aquamari" For the first time that day he felt confident in himself like he could handle anything, he just proved himself in front of his whole class and a real Pokémon Ranger.

"Well, that was one way to introduce yourself to the Class, Hitasu, I think You'll fit in great"Mrs. April said as Piplup tried climbing out under Hitasu's hat

" Oh I get it, here" He lifted up the delicate Piplup, placing it under his hat and on his hair. Next, he sat down by Erica and Keith

"What was that all about?" Keith asked about the hat

"Oh, Well the thing is, I get hot really easily, so I tend to keep an Ice pack with never-melt Ice so I don't overheat, generally Piplup like cold spaces so It treats my hat as more of an igloo." He said as Piplup's head slightly poked out

"Well today was an exciting one, but I should head back to the Ranger Union, Hitasu, today was the first time A rescue was done by the students during an outdoor class" He smiled as both he and his Shaymin waved.

Soon Hitasu had begun to dry off, it was quite warm out so that helped, But it had now been time for recess so nobody minded him being wet.

"That was so Brave of you, weren't you cold?" Erica had said on the swings next To Hitasu

"Not really, I was born...weird, So I'm used to the cold" He explained"Piplup here's the Same"

"You can tell?"

"A month ago, a Piplup disappeared from Professor Rowan's Lab, this is that same Piplup"

"How do you know?"

"O-oh Professor Oak talks to the professors of all other regions, So They're pretty close"

"You know him"

"W-well sort of" He admitted seeing he was now mostly dry, except for a few water droplets in his hair

The bell then began to ring loudly with it being pounded a few times a second "Oh looks like the school day's over, what dorm are you"

"Twenty-B, what about you?"

"I'm Twenty-B as well! Looks like we'll be roommates this year!"

"That's great, although I thought I would have three roommates?"

"Oh yeah, our other roommates graduated last month, it's just me and Keith now"

Once they got to their dorm he began to greet Keith again, with a smile he waved as he laid down his bag next to a desk

"I'll admit, you're not half bad, I mean I'm still better, but you've done well"

"Thanks!"

"Oh, so you've both already met?"

"We're in the same class, with Mrs. April!"

"But it's almost time for supper, you should pick a bed, those two are available" She pointed towards the other side of the room where a bunk bed was.

Hitasu nodded grabbing his bag and placing it on the top bunk with a notebook full of visual instructions on how to use a styler.

"What is all of this?" Keith picked up one of the notebooks seeing several visual representations of how a styler is used as well as which Pokémon can be used for certain jobs.

"It's just one of my notebooks, I didn't want to be a burden in the class so I tried studying as much as I could"

"So that's how you knew Piplup wasn't from the area"

"Yeah," He then heard a bell being rung with Keith and Erica beginning to head towards the cafeteria

"C'mon, or we'll lose all the good stuff!"

Soon after dinner, it was lights out, everyone was heading to bed, all except for Hitasu, he had snuck outside with his hat and Piplup remaining in his bed. Hitasu wanted to do the best he could, which is why he was practicing outside, by using the styler to capture and release any pokémon he could find until of course, he eventually passed out asleep with Pokémon snuggling next to him.
