Welcome to chapter 2 of my story! I hope you all enjoy it.

I'll be answering comments at the bottom, now it's time for the legal.I neither own Pokémon. or chaotic, that privilege belongs to their respective companies that own them. I also do not profit in anyway from the use of their characters.

-Chapter Starts-

Once the bright white light vanished, Ash could see again once more properly and took in his new surroundings and sensations he was feeling, he was no longer in the drome. Well it certainly didn't feel like it.

He could hear the roar of a mighty flowing river to his left, the stream heading off from a seemingly not so tall waterfall from the fact he could hear the sound of crashing water quite well. He was seemingly in a narrow trench that the river ran through, with sizable cliffs on either side of the river with no vegetation in sight. This was certainly the Riverlands from his card, he just couldn't believe he was actually here and this place was real. Or felt real at least.

Ash looked down at his hands, or technically Heptadd's hands, and flexed them a little to get a feel of what he was now. He soon took a few gingerly steps forward on the rocky floor with his creatures bare feet, not bothered at all by the hard survive or any pebbles or other small rocks that were possibly stabbing into them, Heptadd was certainly thick skinned. "Seems like everything works like normal, good thing I didn't pick a creature like Crawsectus or a Danian." Ash noted to himself, curious how he would move with a creature that didn't have a relatively human frame like Heptadd did. He'll have to test that out in another battle.

Ash walked towards the edge of the cliff he was on and looked over, noting that the waterfall was only ten meters drop, quite short all things considered. "So if I'm a creature from the game, does that mean I can use attacks from it with them? Brimflame isn't here yet so might as well practice while I can…" the teen pondered, walking away from the edge and walking up the river looking for some sorta target to practice on while he had the chance. Klayotic likely had some experience with this and he doubted he was going to help him adjust, if he didn't want to get immediately destroyed by him he needed to know how this worked. Quickly.

Easily finding a pile of rocks, Ash raised his hand up and targeted them for his practice. "Pebble storm?" He said out loud, recalling the basic earth attack that seemed the easiest to do. Calling out the name caused him to feel some sort of energy well up inside of him, heading towards his hand causing it to glow a bit. Unfortunately, the energy disappeared before even a single pebble could be shot out of his finger tips. "Maybe with a bit more conviction this time…" he told himself, he certainly felt like something was happening just before it petered out near the end.

Taking in a deep breath, he stuck out his hand forward once more with greater force. "Pebble Storm!!!" He yelled out this time, urging his will to make the attack come to life. The surge of power from earlier returned with greater force and quickly entered his hand, unlike before the glow didn't vanish and pebbles shot out of his hand like a geyser of the earth. The attack struck the pile of rocks and easily obliterated them, leaving behind more pebbles of a different color from his own.

"Awesome! I can do attacks!" Ash said with a wide smile on his lips and throwing his arms into the air, excited by his results. Though his smile might have been charming on his normal face, on Heptadd's it looked downright terrifying with his large dagger like teeth. "Let's see what I can do physically with him." He mused, looking up at the several meter tall cliff face he was near, noticing an outcropping a few meters away. Normally Ash wouldn't reach it by jumping, but maybe Heptadd could.

Backing up a bit, the creature would run forward a few steps before taking a mighty leap forward, easily reaching Ash's attended target and landing on it. "Man this is so great. Might as well climb this cliff and see if I could find Brimflame, I'm in a match after all." With the seemingly basics down, it was finally time to actually find his opponent to battle him. He would continue to leap from outcrop to outcrop on his way up until finally with his last jump grabbing the ledge of it, he would pull himself up until his eyes could look over the ledge. He would let out a surprised gasp.

"Oh please don't come up…" Brimflame said standing on the cliff, looking down on him with a smug look on his face at Ash's current position. "You should go back down where you belong… at the bottom!!!" The underworlder said, raising up a foot before slamming it down hard on Ash's face getting a grasp of pain at the action. The force and pain caused him to lose his grip on the cliff and began plummeting back down from once he came, hitting his back hard on the floor, causing him to shout in pain as he lost energy.

Heptadd- 45 Energy

"Welcome to the real game, Kid. Now let's heat things up even further, eh?!" The grey skinned humanoid shouted, raising both his hands up causing them to lit a flame like magic. Orbs of flames formed from the flames until they were the size of beach balls. "Flame Orb!" He yelled out, throwing the spheres towards Heptadd's downed form at the bottom, attending to pile on the damage and not giving him time to recover. He wanted to code this kid quickly.

However Ash wouldn't go easily, his trainer instincts and Heptadd's own survival instincts kicked in, rolling to the side quickly avoiding the flaming orbs which exploded where he once was. Quickly getting back up, the toad like creature would raise its fingers towards Brimflame. "Vine Snare!" He yelled out, causing vines to shoot out of his fingertips and head towards his opponent, who was shocked that he was fighting back so easily. The vines would wrap around the underworlder's legs, trapping him for the moment.

"How about you come down here and see things from the bottom!" Ash shot back, pulling back his arm hard causing the vines to pull the trap creature towards him. And over the cliff. Brimstone would let out a yell as he fell, falling on his back just as Heptadd did seconds earlier, moaning in pain as the vines around his legs disappeared and he lost energy from his own harsh fall.

Brimflame- 55 Energy

With the two of them on even footing now, Ash would push his attack further. "If you're so heated, let's cool you off Underworlder!" He would shout out, it was like he was getting into the mind of his creature with that sentence. Ignoring the thought, he would stretch out both hands towards water right near Brimflame while he got up significantly slower than he did, seems Klayotic couldn't recover as quickly as himself when hurt. "Torrent of Water!" He called out his attack, the water swirling up and gushing out like a geyser by some unknown energy, slamming into the Underworlder's side, the force of the water slamming him into the cliff face with a thud. Strangely after the attack, the pains Ash felt from his fall seemingly lessened by some seemingly unknown force.

Heptadd- 50 Energy

Brimflame- 45 Energy

"Of course, Water Attacks heal the user in the Riverlands. Feels nice." Ash said to himself, quite enjoying the sensation of the location healing him, like a gentle wave of water hitting him. However Ash couldn't enjoy the moment long, ducking under a Torrent of Flame attack courtesy from his now wet opponent.

"I'm done playing games with you… you… Twerp!!!" Brimflame shouted out in seething anger, recovering quite quickly from Heptadd's attack compared to his earlier fall, unaware that he just used the most common insult thrown at him daily. "No more Mr. Nice Klaybourne, I'm gonna code you right now!" He yelled, extending his hand out, causing Ash to leap back a bit thinking he was about to launch another attack, but he didn't. Instead he merely made his hand look like he was grasping some invisible object, until suddenly some sort of whip with red thorns appeared in his hand from thin air.

"A whepcrack!" Ash yelled in astonishment, that was real life battlegear right in front of him, how did he get it to just appear like that? Though in the back of his mind, he was pretty sure that this was quite bad despite how cool it was. The Whepcrack increased his power and due to the fact he was an underworlder, it also boosted fire attacks. Didn't Brimflame also have an ability when he had battlegear? The raven haired teen was sure of it but couldn't remember what it was. It's best he attacked before he remembers that info!

"You really need to chill out. Hail Storm!" Ash called throwing out his arms forward which glowed white, shooting out a cyclone of snow and rock sized chunks of ice towards Brimflame, who merely had his battlegear light up in flames.

"How about you just burn instead! Plasarrow!" Klay fired, spinning his whip around a few times before whipping it in his direction, causing arrows of plasma to fire out of the tip and headed to intercept his own attack. The fire and wind attack meet Ash's and easily cut through like a hot knife through butter, much to his shock at how effortlessly his attack was destroyed. He attempted to dodge to the side but one of the arrows hit him in the shoulder, causing him searing pain and knocking him onto his back. Luckily it wasn't a direct hit.

Heptadd- 30 Energy.

Unbeknownst to the teen who got back up holding his shoulder, this entire match was being watched by others that weren't just mysterious individuals.

Chaotic: Food Court

"Oof, that's gotta sting. Klay's really going at the new guy, Brimflame with that whepcrack be hotter than my mama's chili!" One player said at a table, quite a few plates of food in front of him which was enjoying while watching the match on the screen. Which might explain his more… robust frame compared to those sitting around him, taking a bite out of his hamburger.

"You got that right, Peyton. Whepcrack increases power and fire attacks for underworlders, plus Brimflame gets even more firepower when he has battlegear equipped. Man, I really need to port to his workshop in Underworld City and get a scan of him!" A redhead said in frustration, adjusting his pink tinted rounded glass a bit as he watched the match. His imagination ran wide of what that creature could do on something like the Viledriver, so much firepower!

"He was doing pretty good before Klay brought out his gear, better than most newbies who arrive and just run around freaking out. Ain't that right, Tom?" The only female in the group teasingly asked her friend, pushing away a few loose strands of blonde hair from her face. She wasn't there to watch it, but she interrogated his friend to learn about it, quite the amusing match to see indeed.

"You just had to tell Sarah about it, uh Kaz?" The aforementioned Tom said annoyed to his red-haired friend, who merely scratched the back of his head at being called out for his loose lips. "But you gotta point, Sarah, he's doing well. I really hope he wins." He said with the smallest of smiles playing on his lips. "Seeing the 'great' and 'mighty' slimeball Klaybourne being beaten by him would be a very sweet sight. Haha." He laughed, seeing the blonde get knocked down a few pegs is always a good thing.

The rest couldn't help but agree with him, cheering on the new guy to beat arguably their greatest pest, much to the chagrin of a brunette sitting a few tables away. "Losers…" she mumbled to herself before refocusing on the match. Klay better not lose to this newbie.

Crellan Drome

"With the whepcrack, no attack you can do can match my fire attacks. Just accept it and get coded!" Brimflame said arrogantly, swinging his weapon around with wild abandon, he truly felt this battle was over now that he was no longer playing with his food. "Torrent of Flame!" He shouted, swinging his whip at the injured Heptadd causing a near tidal wave of fire to head towards him, so large it would be impossible to dodge in time!

'I can't take anymore hits or I'm gonna go down! I need cover!' Ash thought, as the wave of flame was quickly heading towards him, but where can he go! This place was quite flat and the cliffs were a bit too far to reach in time, where else could he hide from the flames? Realization dawned on him and he quickly dove to the left side, straight into the rushing water of the river just as the flames reached where he was. The strong currents of the river pulled him towards the waterfall, but before he could reach it and likely be killed by falling off it, he used Vine Snare to latch onto an outcropping on the cliff, right behind Brimflame. It was about time he used his battlegear...

"Guess the brat wasn't coded." Brimflame said to himself as his attack died down but was still in the drome, well without the water element his attack couldn't do maximum damage. However he was likely too weak to properly fight, he just needed to land the finishing blow and be done with this. Except now that he could see the area properly… where was the twerp?!?!

Ash suddenly burst through the water with a mighty explosion catching Brimflame's attention, revealing that he was fine if a little damp. Thinking about the battlegear he equipped to Heptadd, his gold and red greave on his right arm was replaced with a more brittle silver one with a large white crystal on it that was overflowing with energy to the point it was seeping out of it. "If you won't chill out, how about I blow out your flames?! THUNDER SHOUT!!!" Heptadd roared out, a roar so powerful that it shook the trench they were in and slamming into Brimflame and sending him flying into the air, sailing through the sky for several meters before crashing into the ground with a thud. The Mipedian Fulgurite did its job well.

Brimflame: 15 energy

Brimflame would slowly get back up, gripping his whepcrack so tightly his knuckles were turning grey to white, his anger palpable in the air. "I refuse to be beaten by some newbie! Canon of Casualty! Destroy my enemy!' He shouted to the heavens, which caused music to suddenly start playing from seemingly nowhere and everywhere, like the place itself was playing it.

Suddenly, a fiery beam of red came down from the heavens and struck Heptadd dead on giving him no time to react, a mighty explosion rocked underneath his feet and sent him flying back. Ash would land face first a meter away from the waterfall, groaning in pain from the destructive mugic that struck him.

Heptadd- 10 Energy

'So that's how it feels to get hit by a mugic… really painful, ugh…' Ash thought grasping his head in pain, slowly getting back up on unsteady feet. He felt really exhausted and about ready to drop, likely he wasn't going to be able to take any more hits and he was getting a bit too sluggish to properly avoid them. However, Klayotic gave him an idea, since he used mugic he should too, right? He really needed it if he wanted to win now…

Brimflame walked up to the sluggish Heptadd, his whip burning as hot as ever to deliver the finishing blow. "It's over, newbie! Lavalan-!" Klay began to shout, swinging his whip down to fire off the killing blow, only to be interrupted.

"Discord of Disarming! Destroy his gear!" Ash shouted out just before Klay could launch his attack, music would fill the area as he activated his own mugic, a bright orange light coming from the sky. Instead of striking Brimflame, it hit his whepcrack causing it to explode in his hand before the attack could go through, intercepting it in an odd way.

"Tornado Tackle!" Heptadd began spinning rapidly, so rapidly in fact that a mini tornado began to form around him. The suction force of the attack was so great, it actually pulled Brimflame off the ground and into it before sending the attack flying away behind him.

"STOP THIS!!! TORNADO TACKLE!!!" Brimflame shouted from within the tornado, using his own air element to spin the opposite way to cancel out the attack before he got sick from this accursed spinning! His own wind attack wasn't strong enough to overpower Heptadd's attack outright but it seemed enough to slow it down and eventually stop the attack. Until a horrible realization hit him. He was sent behind Heptadd, which meant he was…

"Bye!" Ash said waving as Brimflame started to fall off the larger cliff by the waterfall and towards most likely doom. He would run over and look over the ledge to see Klayotic's screaming form free falling down, and just as his body hit the ground he exploded into a flash of light. That light seemed to engulf everything and quickly blinded him.

Once sight returned to him, Ash noted he was back at the room he started in with a very irritated Klayotic standing opposite him while he was still Heptadd. Then suddenly the creature started to break down until regular Ash was back in his normal form. "Heptadd has won the battle. AshenMaster is the winner. Please retrieve your scanners and exit the drome." The voice announced before going silent for good. Both players grabbed their respective scanners, one more angerly than the other, causing the stands they sat on to sink into the ground and outta sight.

Ash would walk up to his opponent and offer him a handshake. "That was a great match, Klayotic. Easily could have gone either way, if one of those Plasarrows hit me dead on you would have won. I'm Ash Ketchum, by the way" The raven haired teen said honestly with a smile, he always respected his opponent especially once they gave him a great battle like that. He certainly was gonna need to get better at this new way of playing Chaotic, but it was certainly almost as exciting as pokémon battles!

The blonde seemed ready to burst, to insult his opponent and make excuses to why he lost. Then he took a deep breath and seemed to calmed down a bit, offering his own, though quite forced, smile and taking Ash's hand. "Indeed Ash, quite the display you put on. Sorry about the trash talk earlier, just wanted to rile you up to really get you in the battling mood. I'm Klaybourne, though most just call me Klay." He introduced himself while shaking his hand, seems like the guy wasn't too bad afterall. "Since you're new here… How about I give you a tour of the place and teach you everything you need to know about that scanner there, eh? You'd be surprised what that little machine could do here compared to the real world, and I'm much better company than those drool robots." He offered, though his smile turned to knowing smirk for the briefest of seconds before wrapping an arm around the younger teen's shoulders.

"Sure! Could you teach me how to get back home? I mean rejoin my other self." Ash asked as the older man guided him out of the drome and back into the open space, the teen taking a deep breath of fresh air.

"So soon? You only just got here! There's so much to do here, where's your sense of curiosity and adventure?" Klay asked as he dragged the teen back to the central area he originally came from, it almost seemed like he was goading him into staying rather than actually help him.

Ash hummed in thought at his words, the teen goal was to be a pokémon master but adventures were what really made his life exciting. Don't get him wrong, battling, training, making new moves and strategies was fun and exciting to do, but without the adventures to break it up and spice things up, then they would be stale. "But what adventures could I have here? The battles are fun but ain't much exploring here to do." He pointed out, this place was pretty small and didn't really have the large expanse of nature he loved traveling and camping through.

Klay couldn't help but chuckle at his naiveté, reminding Ash a bit too much of Gary when they first started his pokémon journey. "Oh you'll learn soon enough, but first I want to see your deck to see if you're up to snuff. Chaotic is a cut throat place, you'll soon learn." He explained just as he brought him to a strange table, it had a glass screen and on each end hand indents that seemed designed for something to be inserted. "Just put your scanner in there." He instructed, not noticing four sets of eyes watching him with disapproval and one set looking at him with a knowing smirk.

Ash would slide in his scanner, which caused the table to light up and show one page of his deck, the overworld section. "This table is meant for trading and uploading your scans into your deck, nice, uh? Let's see what you got, shall we?" He questioned, not even waiting for his former opponent to reply before shuffling through his entire deck. What did he mean by uploading scans? He knew he could scan cards but it felt like he was talking about something else entirely.

'His Underworld and Danian collection is quite poor, only one standout card in the bunch and I already have a better version of it. Battlegear and locations aren't bad but nothing special. Though his Overworld and Mipedian cards are quite nice indeed, obviously favours those tribes, don't use them myself but I can certainly get some good trades with these scans.' Klay thought to himself, obviously having no intentions of helping this newbie, just wanting to jack his deck for everything of worth. This was gonna be a decent score.

"Not bad but not good either. How about I be pal and trade you some cards, to really help boost you up? Just put your scanner to trade mode and-" Klay attempted to instruct before feeling a hand on his shoulder, seeing an all too familiar hated face. "Oh, Tom… Can I help you? Because I'd rather be helping my new friend-" He said before being rudely cut in by the unwanted guest.

"Cut the act, Klay. The only person you help is yourself." The newly arrived Tom told him, before turning his attention to Ash who was very much confused by what's happening. "Listen, your 'buddy' here is the biggest cheat and scammer in Chaotic. The only 'helping' he'll do is helping himself to your deck and take every good card you have, leaving you high and dry. Let me guess Klay; You were planning to bring him to Perim and ditch him there afterwards for payback for beating you too, uh?!" He accused angrily at the blonde, pointing a finger at his chin while Ash looked at him with raised eyebrows. Though he was interested about bringing him to Perim, wasn't that just the setting for the card game?

"Nothing but slander! Don't trust him, Ash. He's just trying to hold you back, he can't take real competition so he sabotages other players, especially new arrivals like yourself." The blonde defended himself, throwing his own accusation to the other raven haired teen.

"Ha! That's rich coming from you. By the way, it isn't slander when it's true and everyone in Chaotic knows about it!" Tom fired back, Klay saying he was those things was like the pot calling the kettle black.

"Enough!" Ash cut in, getting quickly tired of the arguing and the noise. "I don't know who is lying, however I'm not trading any of my cards away." He said, Ash was the sorta guy that rarely traded away things to others, especially not pokémon. Maybe he grew attached too quickly to things but he always liked to keep on to things he valued, which would explain how messy his room is with so many mementos from his journeys.

Klay glared at him, the kid was obviously not gonna budge on trading away cards, great he was humiliated in the dromes and now in public by this twerp. "Figure out Chaotic by yourself then. I got better things to do than babysitting a newbie floundering about. Next time we meet in the dromes, I'm gonna destroy you utterly." The blonde said before taking his leave, walking off to a table with a long haired brunette woman with a bit too much makeup on in Ash's personal opinion. Seems he really was just acting.

"I'll figure out how to get home on my own, thanks!" Ash shouted to the retreating man, he didn't need the help of such a jerk to figure things out, he's got the tried and true Ash Ketchum method. Press every button and see what happens, it always works! Eventually.

"If you need help getting used to Chaotic, me and my friends can help you out. I was new myself just a few months ago, so I know how hard it can be." Tom offered to the hat wearing teen, he seemed like a nice sorta guy and he did beat Klay. Helping him out was the least he could do for knocking down that arrogant snake down a few pegs. "Names Tom Major, Overworld user and Maxxor's biggest fan." He introduced, offering him his hand for a handshake to the fellow raven haired teen.

Ash would eagerly return the gesture, grasping his hand and giving it an enthusiastic shake. "Ash Ketchum. Overworld and Mipedian player, future pokémon master." He introduces himself, letting go of him before remembering something he said to him. "By the way, you mentioned something about him ditching me in Perim. What does that mean? I thought Perim was just the setting of the card game." He questioned, how could he be ditched somewhere that doesn't exist?

Tom was confused by the word Pokémon, never heard of it. Was it some unknown tribe? But his question distracted him from the fact. "Oh Perim is real! The world, creatures, battlegear, mugic, everything is real! I know that it sounds crazy but it's true, we can go there right now even. Though it's a dangerous place, the attacks and dangers there are also real." Honestly it still felt like yesterday when he felt the same as Ash, that Perim was just a fantasy and that Kaz was just making up stories about his adventures in it. He was kind of a jerk to him then, but at least he apologized to his best bud. He just wished he didn't blab about it to every person he met.

Tom expected disbelief or a scoff at such a thing, but Ash's eyes only lit up in excitement. "Really?! Can you take me there?" He asked excitedly with a wide grin, the last reaction he expected from someone new to the place. Maybe he was just some thrill seeker.

"Sure, but let me introduce you to my friends. Better to go together than just us two." Tom explained, it was better to bring the whole gang instead of just the two of them, especially since he was completely new to this. He could go for a scan quest anyway. "They're just over there, let's introduce you and head out." He pointed to a group of three at a nearby table, who had been watching the entire drama unfolding.

"Yeah, your right." Ash wanted to go there as quickly as possible, temporarily forgetting about his quest home to sate his lust for adventure. But Tom was right, this wasn't his world with known dangers like pokémon and criminals, this was a whole new world which he merely caught a glimpse of in his drome battle. They were more experienced, best stick with them for now until he familiarized himself with Perim.

It would be a brisk walk for the two to arrive at the table, not even enough time for the two of them to even properly chat. "Sup guys. This is Ash Ketchum, the guy who battled Klay." Tom introduced as they arrived, the group waving and nodding at Ash with friendly expressions, much more genuine than Klay's forced smile.

The largest of the group quickly got up and raised a fist for a fist bump. "I know that. That was sick for your first match, bro! It's like you actually had experience fighting, you sure you're a newbie? Names Peyton, screen name Peytonic Master." The revealed Peyton said excitedly, Ash returning the fist bump with a smile. He really liked Peyton's energy and excitable personality.

"You can say that, sure." Ash said shrugging his shoulders, he's trained with his pokémon and works out quite a bit due to his travels, he was quite in shape. He's even picked up some martial arts training during it, given how many fighting gym leaders are actual fighters and many run their gyms like Dojos. If he was forced into a fight without pokémon, he felt like he could hold his own.

"Well you certainly showed it, and more importantly took down Klay. He's a petty guy with an ego the size of the dromes, losing to you is certainly gonna sting for awhile. Names Sarah, ChaotiKween if we are talking screen names." The only female of the group introduced herself with a grin, quite pleased that he took down the snake known as Klay.

"And this is my best friend, Kaz." Tom introduced the final member of the group, who merely waved his hand in greeting.

"I go by KidChaor in the dromes. Underworld expert. Just because you beat Klay doesn't mean you'll beat me, but you're more than willing to try. I've beaten him before too. " The red said with a joking smile, obviously not being too serious with the challenge, though Ash could tell that he was somewhat overconfident in his abilities. By how much, it was hard to say.

His friends could only groan at the boast, they love their redheaded friends but his boasting and big mouth could seriously get him in trouble. Though the new guy couldn't help but smirk at his remark. "I'm always looking for a challenge. When I get better used to Chaotic, we'll certainly have a battle." He said, causing Kaz to smile, it seemed the two both shared a fiery spirit of competition and were both eager to test the other.

Tom couldn't help but chuckle as he seemed to be getting along decently with the rest of the group. "With introductions out of the way, I offered Ash to take him to Perim for the first time. Any of you guys want to join?" He asked, more eyes to watch Ash the better, just in case he wandered off on his own and got into serious trouble.

"Sure dude, I got like three hours before my next drome match. I already got my strategy planned out and it's gonna be wicked!!!" Peyton said as he had time to kill before he had to port back and showing the new guy around would be a fun way to kill said time.

"By strategy, he means whatever popped into his head in the past half hour." Sarah teased, it was common knowledge that Peyton was known for out there and bizarre plans, some made up right on the spot just before he battled. Though he's found a lot of success with that approach, she just loved teasing him about it. "I was planning to go to Mount Pillar for some scanning, but Wamma hasn't found anything worth my time yet. So sure." She consented, she had nothing better to do.

"I'm free too, H'earring still hasn't forgiven me yet for our last scan quest. Need to get some of the 'good stuff' so he can forgive me." Kaz explained, everyone but Ash cringing at the word 'good stuff', all of them remembering the little green spy of the Underworld and his foul taste in food. So foul that even other Underworlders found it disgusting.

"Alright. Anything you want to scan in Perim, Ash?" Tom asked, curious if there was anything he really wanted to get a scan of. They wouldn't promise if they could actually get it, but it would be a good starting point for the trip.

Ash thought about the question, what did he want for his deck? After about twenty seconds of thinking, he snapped his fingers and began typing on his scanner trying to find something. He smiled at finding it before placing his scanner down on the table, so everyone could see it. It was a creature, an Overworlder by the blue card tint, which resembled a blue lizard cyborg with glowing light blue eyes. "Gronmor. He can use every element but air and he's got better stats than Heptadd and his abilities are nice as well. He'd be great for my deck." Ash revealed the creature which was certainly a power house. And an ultra rare card.

Tom's eyes would widen and shine at the sight of this certainly powerful Overworlder, causing Sarah to groan at that face she knew all too well. "Oh great. You've activated Tom's scan hog mode, we can't get outta this now." She said with a shake of her head, once Tom put his sight on a creature he really wanted to scan, he would stubbornly pursue it for hours despite endless failure and even a bit of pain.

"Yo! Gronmor is the guardian of Lake Morn, makes his home on the island at the center of it, Stronghold Morn. My friend Garv is the caretaker of the place, the two work together to keep the place zen and chill. He might know where he is!" Peyton exclaimed, paying a visit to his good pal would be a nice little bonus to the whole adventure.

"Do you have a scan of Stronghold Morn or the lake?" Kaz asked Ash, he would need a scan of the location to actually port there after all.

"I have a Lake Morn scan, but not the stronghold. Is that okay?" Ash questioned, he was unfortunate enough not to have that particular card, hopefully it wouldn't be a problem.

"Don't worry about it! Though if we can't find a boat, we'll have to find some swimsuits for a very, very long swim if our cyborg friend is chilling at home." Peyton explained, though he was confident that Garv could help them get to the island. The brunette would grab Ash's scanner and would select the location for him, the raven haired teen watching the process diligently. "Alright, your set! Just press this button and you'll be ported there. Meet you at the beach, my brotha!" He explained before pulling out his own scanner, putting the location in with practiced ease and pressing the button, porting there and vanishing right in front of Ash.

Ash was stunned for a bit just as the other mimicked the gesture, each one merely disappearing in front of him. "Guess I should go then too…" He mumbled to himself, clicking the button Peyton showed him and vanishing from the lounge. Time for his first trip to Perim!

-Chapter End-

This ended up much longer than I expected, originally planning for the battle, meeting the gang, and the scan quest being one chapter but by the second part, I was already at six thousand words. So I'm gonna make the next chapter being the scan quest.

Now to answer some of the comments.

Duskrider: Possibly, it depends how you see how mugic is activated. Mugicians are needed to activate them, which seem to be spirits that inhabit individual creatures or locations, by that logic Ash couldn't activate them. I'll think about the idea but I make no promises, sorry.

Ricardo753: Thank you for the support! I'm mostly gonna do new adventures just for Ash, though there might be a time frame correlation between events in the show and my story. For example; the episode newbie of Chaotic, obviously he isn't gonna be infatuated with PerimPrincess like the rest of the guys, so during the events at the Lava Ponds Ash could take Sarah and do their own thing since she was basically ignored that episode, what that adventure will be would be mostly separate.

So events from the show will mostly have a cause and effect for Ash rather than just following it, he's not just gonna be a fifth wheel on the wagon. There might be a few chapters I'm planning that will seemingly follow closely the show, but trust me there will be distinct changes in the story that will make it significantly different from the original, and these chapters will be far and in between.

Guest: Ash would be a bit more of a fighter, but he won't be an overwhelming force. Give Ash some battlegear and he could fight a creature reasonably well, but he won't ever truly match them physically. This story isn't meant to make him op or godly, he will need his pokémon to bail him out from time to time, but compared to the average human from the show, he will hold his own in a fight in a one on one with a creature and make it out. As for your second question, I think this chapter answers it!

Now this is a big one, over half the post have mentioned it: Will Ash have a harem of creatures? I'm gonna be honest; I'm strongly considering it.

Unlike other stories; A harem in this story won't overwhelm the story like it does others, Ash will rarely have all the girls assembled together especially since there will be girls from multiple tribes. I also think there is story potential with a harem with girls from multiple tribes, it would be curious what they would do for him which might be against the tribe and so on. I'm still looking up girls and have a number of them in consideration.

So that's it for now! I've enjoyed the support so far and keep up the comments. If you guys have any suggestions for love interests, let me know.
