Alex Russet was a human from earth living a decent, but unremarkable life. That changed following a distress call from another world, Pokemar. Answering the call he met up with a Pikachu he would come to know as Thunder and formed Team New Hope, a legendary group that would assist them in their quest to rescue the world from destruction.
Together they fought and destroyed the Bittercold, an entity of pure negativity set to destroy all life. Following this Alex was forced to leave. And much to his dismay he would be forgotten by everyone. But clues to his existence remained and were noticed by Thunder.
A reformed adversary of theirs, Munna, had been dealing with her inner demons and guild for her actions. After joining with Thunder they found a way to restore their missing memories of Alex in the Worldcore. And to the Worldcore they journeyed, bringing Alex back and restoring everyone's memories of him. With Alex back New Hope went back to their duties and missions. Their latest mission proving to be quite a thrill ride.
A message from Kanto Major promised to reunite Thunder with his long lost father. Alas, what resulted was not a heartfelt family reunion, but an assassination attempt by a Zoroark. They were rescued by a Raichu friend of Thunder's father and taken to a safe haven. There the truth was revealed.
The Raichu and Zoroark were at war. A messy war fueled by hate and bigotry. Thunder's father was deep in this conflict. One that needed to end. Allying with a Zorua spy Alex follows them back to the Zoroark base of operations while Thunder tries to talk sense into his dad.
Unfortunately, Thunder is locked away for treason and one of the Raichu scouts follow Alex and the Zorua. Alex's efforts struggled as well, finding some people willing to listen, but others who sought to undermine him. However Alex's mission was cut short with the arrival of a Raichu army. A bloody battle ensued.
Meanwhile two Pikachu sympathetic to Thunder's plight freed him, letting him return home and bring back help to assist Alex. In the fight Thunder finally begins to make his father see reason. One of the heads of the Zoroark faction is willing to try and bring the fighting to an end and joins their efforts.
Another Zoroark, one less interested in peace, tried to strike down their comrade. Thunder's father took the blow for them, catching the eye of those around them. Slowly the battle started to die down as his near-sacrifice inspired everyone to stand down. After years of conflict, peace had emerged.
Once more things returned to normal. For how long though, is uncertain...
