chapter one - polus

A new story! And one you better believe it's amazing. Shoutout to my friend Ari

( AriIsDivergent )

for helping my proofread stories. We are currently "racing" with our stories to see which one y'all like more! Her story is under her account as Sabotage.

Another shoutout I simply MUST give is to the author EliasAsgard. Their stories are amazing and the detail is impeccable. They are my inspiration to make this story, although the stories themselves have no relation. Long story short, read Murder on the Skeld!

Happy reading! Also, don't sue me, I know I don't own among us :)

Cyan pov-

Everything felt far away. Frankly, everything was. There were no more simple human pleasures anymore, just freeze-dried space food.

"The ship will be arriving at DropShip in 5 minutes. Please make sure your spacesuit is on correctly, as we are in quite a rush," The intercom cut off after those short words.

We would be landing on Polus any minute now. My job was to work in the labs, but everyone had to set up camp first before working so we could sleep on the first night, or whatever time we would sleep on this strange, faraway planet.

"These things are so cool!" I heard Purple exclaim on the spacesuit's radio.

"Not as cool as you," Blue replied. They were sort of a thing. NASA would kill us all if they knew, because of certain protocols. But, given the incredible work Blue has done to figure out the tech for our laboratory, the captain of the ship has agreed to keep NASA out of any issues the relationship may cause.

"Get a room you two," Pink giggled.

"I miss my friends from Earth," I sighed.

It's true, I did. They had no idea I was going until I had left, and they still had no idea where in the universe I was.

"Well, the people here are pretty cool," White said.

"Not all of them," Red muttered.

"Who would you be talking about Red?" Black replied coolly.

They hated each other. I know, hate is a strong word, but a strong word is needed to describe how the two of them felt about each other.

"Chill guys," Orange said quietly.

"Why should I-" Black started.

"We're landing!" Lime interrupted, practically shouting. He could be such a headache, but made up for it by knowing practically everything about this planet.

Sure enough, Lime then said, "You know, DropShip is the only place other than outside where we'll technically need to wear our helmets."

Thank goodness. I love Blue and all, but these helmets are frustrating. 5 minutes ago I accidentally turned the radio volume to 100 and nearly shattered my eardrums.

A good 10 minutes later we started setting up the tents. Frustrating little things they are, which I clearly had no idea of. I had the impression that these would be just like camping tents, an impression about which I was laughed at many, many times.

In reality, they seemed like portable buildings. The only difference is that they folded up, and were considerably easier to put up than a building. That said, they were no easy feat.

A few hours later, (yes, hours) we finished that up. The time was about 3:45 Earth time, so the captain let us go check out our buildings and do some work before we had to eat dinner and turn in for the night.

"Blue! Can you come with me to admin?" Purple asked, quite suggestively if you ask me.

"What, you two gonna have another make-out session?" Red asked, but quite rudely.

"Good one, Red." Green grunted.

Green is essentially Red's minion. It takes no Sherlock Holmes to deduce that he liked her and she didn't like him. Red didn't seem to like anyone, or anything for that matter, other than power.

"None of your business," Blue smiled, and he and Purple walked off.

"Aren't they like, the cutest couple ever?" Pink gushed.

"Goals," Black and White replied at the same time.

"I'm off to vitals guys," Orange practically whispered. He was quite shy.

"And I'm off to find who asked," Red replied almost instantly.

"You should probably be off to do your job," The captain appeared, "As you are extremely behind."

"Got it," Red shut up after that.

I decided to check out the laboratory, given I would be spending much of my time there.

"See you guys at dinner!" I called as I stepped outside.

I gazed up at the stars as I walked. They looked so very different from the ones we see from home. Here, they have all sorts of colors, and some are so close, you wouldn't believe we could survive here. As soon as I saw them, I just wanted to map out constellations. It's been a hobby of mine since I was little, but now I had a new sky to look upon. I knew I was going to love it here.

Pink pov-

This place is crazy.

"Pink!" Purple exclaimed, "Look at the stars here!"

"They have colors!" I gasped.

The stars were hardly the coolest feature of the place. The weather was freezing out in the open, even though we have spacesuits.

"Look Purple!" I squealed, "It's snowing!"

"It never snows back at home!" Purple stared at the tiny snowflakes with interest.

That's a fact. Purple is from Texas, where we all had to travel before taking off. Houston, I think it was. The temperature there was insanely warm, which I admit I complained about quite a bit. Purple always laughed when I told her I thought it was hot, as she thought it was just a bit warm.

"Well duh," I rolled my eyes.

"Alright loser," She replied giggling, "I have to head to o2. See ya!"

And so she went off. I started on my way to cams, as I had to watch over them to make sure nothing bad happens, and to confirm they're working.

I gazed back up at the stars. The colors really were bright, and full of colors. Once I got home, my friends would never believe the startling sight. I'd have to take pictures, meaning after my shift, I'll need to ask Red for her camera. That, I am not excited for.

A few hours later, the cameras were ready and I started looking for any odd behavior.

"Alright, Blue and Purple are..gross!" I gasped.

I quickly skipped to the next cam. There was…

A BODY?!
