Time Heals all wounds
Chapter four
Marcie had to be cautious once she left her house. Being a reporter for the Washington Post
for a long time needs to be just careful with her reports to her boss and editor.
After locking up the house and the lights she headed for her vehicle something that gets her
around for her investigations. She started to think about Special Agent Gibbs on how handsome
he was for his age. Even though she was in her late fifties for god sake. After reading his profile
having been married four times with his first wife and daughter killed by the Cartel leader Pedro
Hernandez.
She was wondering on whether he was still pining over her death and his daughter after all this time?"
Moving off in her car with checking the back for any type of vehicles that might be tailing her. She headed
off for Gibbs's house. She was going to make it nice and even with the lights not wishing to get any speeding
tickets.
Meanwhile, Senior Field Agent McGee and Special Agent Nick Torres had arrived as well to his house still wondering what was going on and being careful that Director Vance not needing to find out what is going on with Gibbs.
Special Agent Gibbs was standing on the front porch greeting them with Lucy standing next to him knowing the agents with cries. McGee and Nick bent down to pet her head with having a beef jerky in his hand and breaking it into pieces.
"Please come inside and sit down. Do you want any beer before Marcie Warren arrives?" he asked his friends and teammates even though with him on suspension.
They both agreed to the Budweiser beer for now. Gibbs moved inside with McGee noticing the file on the coffee table with his glasses over it.
"I called her earlier. She is on her way having to be extremely careful with her movements of late." Gibbs handed the two bottles to Nick and McGee flipping off the caps and placing them on the table for now.
"What 's going on Gibbs?" Tim sat down at the chair across from Nick, Gibbs, and Lucy.
"Reporter from the Washington Post Marcie Warren contacted me at the diner about her associate disappearing while working on three stories involving the Cartel. There is a warehouse down by the harbor for where she thinks that he might be there being held in order to gain information."
"And what information Gibbs is she talking about?" Nick had to say on the subject of watching Lucy being padded by Gibbs.
"She is going to tell me when she gets here Nick. I believe she wasn't telling me the complete truth as to why I should get involved in the first place."
"Then why at all get involved for when you're taking a big gamble with your life and others?" Tim responded with Gibbs shaking his head.
"I need to do this or else I will really lose it Tim after what I had done three weeks ago. I still need to make that apology to Bishop for knocking her off me at that time." Gibbs says with sorrow in his demeanor.
"Yeah, she is rather pissed at you and wants to talk with you about it sometime soon. Otherwise, she has enough to worry about with her condition," he said.
"And what condition is that Nick if you don't mind me asking?" Gibbs had the feeling it had to do something with him burning rule ten and 13 along with five others that went out the window.
"Look sir Eleanor is seven weeks pregnant ever since we started to have a relationship during the past two months. We were afraid to say anything to you until all of the mess with you shooting McGee, Losing Sloane, Emily dying from the overdose and then getting suspended," he replied with his truth.
"I am truly sorry about it Nick. When I get the chance I will need to talk with Bishop about what had happened." he emotionally said.
There was a knock on his front door having to be Marcie Warren with Gibbs getting up to open the door for her and letting the beautiful woman inside for his team to meet.
"Everyone this is the Washington Post reporter Marcie Warren. She had additional information that I need to hear even though upsetting. What's worst than getting suspended?"
"Alejandro Riveria is back on the scene again after disappearing from you, Gibbs a few years back. I understand that you have a long history with him?" she had to say with handing him the final piece of evidence with the photos of him, her associate, and the others working at the warehouse down by the harbor."
Gibbs's expression was one of disbelief giving the photos over to McGee and Torres. Shaking their heads for which they were working the operation at the train station trying to capture him during Off the books operation.
"How did you get these ma'am?" Nick needed to ask the question.
"I was with my camera at the time without my associate didn't realize that he was being watched with my suspicious."
"And you want us to find out what is going on at that warehouse with the four of us?"McGee exclaimed.
"Correct," Marcie said with Gibbs sitting back down to pat Lucy crying for attention.
"What about back up Marcie?" Gibbs needed to ask the importance of the question.
"Just the four of us unless you want your Director Leon Vance to get involved with you already in the hot seat?" she cries out as if she really cared for the aged Special Agent Leroy Jethro Gibbs.
"No, I don't Marcie." Gibbs needed to respond with need no more problems to deal with of late. "Tim, Nick are you going to help us? You're free to leave and not letting Vance finding out about this meeting."
