Time heals all wounds

Chapter Nine

Marcie using the key in order to get into the house finding the living room quiet. Even though all of a sudden Lucy started to bark wondering where his friend Gibbs was located.

She came up to her barking. "It's alright Lucy I am here to feed you. Would you like to go for a walk outside?" she had seen her leash sitting on the ironing board of all places. She was chuckling to be picking up the leash with bending down to hook it to her collar.

She walked outside carrying the key making sure it was a lock to head out for a quick walk. She had no idea where Jethro had taken her for a walk. Even though she stayed off the sidewalks along with carrying a plastic bag in order to pick up her mess.

It was cold out as she was feeling it with her jacket. When they were down the harbor with the water it was much colder.

As Lucy was doing her business with no one in the area. She did mention a story in regard to a young friend of his name Phineas had called and sent a message that he was going to be coming to visit him in a few weeks without having to miss him greatly.

Heading back into the house with the key again as Lucy was missing her owner. She moved inside needing to feed herself as well along with being thirsty. She was able to find a bottle of Budweiser beer inside the fridge. She was more interested in calling the hospital needing to find out about Special Agent Gibbs.

Having the number from Director Leon Vance. She had no idea that he was going to be watching the operation with Doctor Taft to be working on his patient and friend.

Bringing up the number after taking off the leash from Lucy. She brought up the number onto the screen with 150 contacts in her phone since working for the Washington Post.

Director Leon Vance was scared with Doctor Cyril Taft had to zap Gibbs heart twice to bring him back after Doctor Gilbert was able to remove all but one more fragment left in the pouch of the stomach. He had to wait until Taft had thought that Gibbs was able to be alright with his heart giving out.

"He should be fine now Doctor Gilbert. He has normal sinus rhythm with his heart rate and beat." Doctor Taft had to say on the subject.

Doctor Gilbert continued on as his team was pumping in the blood to keep up with the loss and with his blood pressure coming up slowly.

Meanwhile up in the observation section up above. Director Leon Vance's cellphone was going off on vibrate as he needed to answer the call by getting up to head out into the waiting area. "Marcie are you alright?" he asks.

"I am fine Leon. I was able to take Lucy out for a walk. By the way, how is Jethro doing?" she was way concerned for the Special Agent for NCIS.

"Holding his own right way. Even though he had a scare earlier with his heart going out again. He's a tough man Marcie. He's going to survive as always?" he said...

"Let's hope so Leon. It was my fault that he's in this condition." she cried out with her emotion as her tears began to fall again.

"Nevertheless he's going to be alright once Doctor Gilbert removes the last of the bullet fragments. Please try and get some sleep with keeping Lucy company?" he hung up the phone to head back to the operation inside.

"Please let me know when they bring him to recovery? Do I need to stay here all night at his house?" she quipped with the request.

"For now yes for the most part Marcie. I will call you when I know more about leaving a Voicemail on your cell-phone." Vance said before ending the call to head back in.

Meanwhile NCIS Autopsy bay...

The body of Alejandro Riveria had been transported to the Naval Yards and be placed on one of the coolers for Doctor Jimmy Palmer to work on the body in the morning.

Victoria Tyler had signed off on the paperwork working the night shift after hearing what had happened to Special Agent Gibbs. She had made sure the technician had placed the body inside properly before watching him leave. She didn't wish to have the body disappear like the last one that had involved her daughter having been kidnapped.

Once the technician had left for the elevator and entered it to head upstairs. She checked it one last time before heading back to her office.

GIBBS HOUSE

Sometime later Lucy began to cry and bark for some reason. This action made Marcie jump up from the couch grabbing her revolver sitting on the marble coffee table. "Lucy it's alright." She had gotten up to check out why she was barking in the first place.

She started with the second floor heading up the stairs with her gun in hand. She was shaking slightly from the chill. She wasn't able to find a thing. Except for the fact she really didn't wish to go into his attic and interfere into Gibbs's personal space and his things from the past. Lucy followed up the stairs slowly since her injuries were getting better with the Vet's help.

Turning on the light with the attic she headed up to again find nothing except a room filled with memories. She checked out the cradle that was no doubt built by him many years ago.

She found the albums sitting on top of an old table. She started with the first one filled with pictures and articles. She was standing as she saw Lucy smelling around. She was learning a great deal about Gibbs's past for the most part.
