Early morning.
The secretary had walked in early to speak with her boss needing to make Coffee get started with the day. Elaine age 34 years old had been with the Washington Post for five years.
Walking into the editor's office to give him coffee. She dropped the cup of hot coffee onto the floor. She was able to see his body sprawled with the pool of blood.
She screamed needing to call for help heading into the outer office to call downstairs the security officer and the police. "What's wrong Elaine?" The young security officer Dave Roberts Jr. asks.
"Dan is dead on the floor with gunshot wounds to his body. Call the police we need to find out whether anything is missing?" she cried out with the order.
"Right away," he said with getting on the phone dialing out to contact the local police headquarters Metro.

Marcie Warren was parking her vehicle in the underground parking lot of Bethesda hospital. She was going to stop downstairs for the Cafe needing to pick up a few things for breakfast. Even though she doesn't know whether Leroy Jethro Gibbs is able to have anything to eat.
She wasn't able to sleep after speaking with him the second time around. She had turned off her police scanner located on her cell-phone. When all of a sudden there was an emergency call over the scanner while sending officers to the Washington Post offices.
When she had heard the words gunshots. She needed to head upstairs to talk with Jethro about the possible options.
Moving into the elevator pressing the tenth floor of the hospital instead of the cafe. She was extremely concerned that something might have happened to Dan her boss and the file on Shannon and Kelly.
Reaching the floor bypassing the ICU nurses station. She walked on down the corridor a nervous nelly having to be anything at all.
She knocked on Jethro's door walking inside as he was having breakfast with a tray of scrambled eggs, toast, jello, coffee, and orange juice. "It's a good thing I didn't go to the cafe right now?" she said with moving over to him to kiss the man onto his cheek while he was chewing on his toast.
"You look worried Marcie? What has happened?" he said with grabbing his coffee from the tray.
"It could be nothing at all Jethro? I have a police scanner on my cell-phone when I heard a call that the authorities were heading for the Washington Post building with gunshots having been fired and a body. I need to find out what is going on with calling Dan?" she suggested.
She dialed the secretary number that she keeps on her phone. if she knows anything. She will be able to tell her the truth of the matter.
Bringing the number onto the screen she had pressed the send button...

WASHINGTON POST
Elaine having had the nerve to stay with the junior editor to finish up the work that her boss wasn't able to. She answered the phone showing the line having to be the reporter Marcie Warren.
"Marcie thank god you have called? There was a murder sometime late last night with Dan the main editor and your boss found me on the floor. A whole sleuth of police authorities and including the F.B.I. was here as well searching the vault to find your main story that was held back stolen."
"OMG, I just can't believe this Elaine? After the United States government had made a bit stink with holding back the story," she said over the phone with a strange expression on the face of Leroy Jethro Gibbs. "Are the police looking for me at all?"
"Not as far as I know. But the F.B. well. I have his business card having to be Special Agent Tobias Fornell."
"My friend Gibbs knows him really well. No doubt he will be calling him to find out the truth of the way Dan was shot in the first place. Elaine do me a favor and don't mention to anyone that I spoke with me?" she exclaimed with trying to get her emotions in check.
"I will Marcie. However, I want you to be careful." she was concerned for her friend."
Marcie hung up the phone to turn and face Jethro on the phone with Tobias Fornell calling him at his office after checking the area for any other clues.
"Are you Tobias there was more than one print found on the body of the editor?" Gibbs was saying to his friend.
"There were two there inside that office Jethro. But only one that had shot the editor and left the area."
"So what you're telling me is the fact someone else that works in that office was there to keep his attention?" Gibbs said to his friend over the phone. "You have any suspects?"
"There are two possibilities at this time. However, I am going to follow the leads with my partner. I suggest that you keep your newfound friend out of trouble until we know for sure just what is going on. Maybe she should go up to your cabin and hide out with taking some of your NCIS buddies to watch over her until it's over?"
"I will have to discuss it with her and see what she has to say on the subject. I just can't force her to leave Tobias?"
"Oh, really! Why don't you use your usual sexual charm on Miss Warren, Butch?" he joked to have Gibbs chuckling while Marcie was loving these two as friends.
"Goodbye! Please keep me updated with your investigation Tobias." he hung up the phone to look at Marcie closer to him with an expression that had him worried.
"What's this about a cabin that you own? Do you really think I can be protected by those monsters?" she cried out with lightly touching his cheek with her fingers.
"My friends will be able to protect you no matter how long it will take?" he exclaimed as she kissed him with the emotions of her feelings and vice versa.
"Jethro, I really don't know what to say on the subject?"
