Time heals all wounds

Chapter 15th

She was emotional after hearing his offer with the cabin and she was hoping that it was going to be the best possible solution with having to be safe. "When do I leave Jethro with your friends?" she had to know always hating to be left in the dark for anything.

"I will call them now and set it up with McGee, Torres, and Lt. Brown. These are the only two that I trust at this point. I know that Director Leon Vance is going to be giving me a hard time about it."

NCIS Naval Yards Director Vance's office

He was walking into his office after a short meeting at SECNAV. When his secretary wasn't around having left for a long early lunch. When Vance had walked into his office. His cell-phone started to vibrate as he takes a long at the name on the screen having to be his suspended officer Leroy Jethro Gibbs after being shot.

"What's the matter Gibbs is Doctor Taft driving you crazy already?" he said with sitting on down his chair with a pile of files sitting on his desk that he needs to read and sign off.

"Na. However, I do need a favor from you in order to make me feel better." Gibbs said to have Vance thinking that something was up with him.

"And what favor is that Gibbs?"

"I need McGee, Torres, and Lt. Brown to take Marcie up to my cabin in order to have her protected from the local Cartel. I know that I am asking a lot from you after the suspension?"

"I will do it Special Agent Gibbs," Vance said without thinking about it further. "I will speak with McGee since he's in charge right now and have Torres and Lt. Brown get the supplies together using SECNAV funding. Do you have any idea for how long?"

"At the moment no I don't and neither how long Doctor Taft and the other specialists are going to be keeping me in the hospital?" Gibbs said with seeing the expression on Marcie's face.

"I will call you back in 30 minutes with the final plans. Have Marcie meet them at the Naval Yards with going home to pack and make sure that she keeps an eye out on whether anyone will be tailing her to the Naval Yards?" Vance commented by looking at the time on his watch.

"I will tell her director," Gibbs said with anguish in his demeanor that he was losing her to his cabin as with Lucy.

"Talk to you soon." he hung up the phone to contact McGee and the others.

"Be careful going home to pack Marcie. Make sure that Lucy is going to be well taken care of?" he cried out with his emotions.

"I certainly will Jethro. Especially when I like Lucy a great deal as well," she said with giving him another one of those passionate kisses.

She walked out of ICU heading for the elevator. It's been a long time since she had spent any time in the wilderness. It was going to be a bit of a challenge with whoever is going to be protecting her at the cabin.

She had heard a great deal about t from Jethro himself on how long it had taken him to build it. It was a great place to sleep, rest, hunt, fish, and even swim in the lake behind the cabin. There was only one road leading up to the cabin. While the ranger station and State troopers were ten miles away in case of trouble.

Getting into her vehicle of the underground parking lot. She continued to check for any tails ever since her boss was killed as with another and almost Leroy Jethro Gibbs by Alejandro Riveria.

From what Gibbs had told her about the menace. She was glad that the agents were able to take him out. In spite of the fact that others will be taking over his position.

Sometime later...

Special Agent Leroy Jethro Gibbs in his hospital bed had gotten the call from Director Vance about the protection detail for the Washington Post reporter Marcie Warren. "Gibbs, what's the word Director ?" HE SIGNED with his words having woke quickly after a visit from Doctor Taft checking on his stomach wound.

"It's a go. I will have McGee after speaking with his wife taking the twins to her mother's for only a week and that's it they are allowing with the budget. However, it won't be Torres but rather Lt. Brown and Victoria Tyler. I need Torres back at the bullpen."

"It's better than nothing at all Director?" Gibbs cried out with his response.

"I have already sent a message to Marcie letting her know who is going to be at her house to drive her to the cabin for the long drive," he said.

"Thanks for the favor, Leon. I won't bother you any further?" he commented before hanging up the phone.

MARCIE'S HOUSE

She was rushing like hell to gather all of her things without having received the text message from Vance. She really didn't know whether this was well worth it with going to Jethro's cabin?

Checking her drawer with her socks. She looked under it for where she had placed her second revolver and box of ammo. She had a license and permit having gotten it back some five years ago and only used it three times for target practice at the gun range.

After taking it out of the draw along with the socks she will need for the trip. As with her two bras and warm pajamas. She had gathered up any supplies she was going to need for the camping since her friend Jethro had mentioned that the cabin was stocked up by his friends twice a year whenever he uses the cabin.

She had carried everything downstairs from the bedroom. When there was a knock on her front door. She froze in place walking over to the door to search through the keyhole. She was relieved that it was Senior field agent Timothy McGee.

"Thank goodness!" she said with McGee coming inside the house.

"Are you alright Marcie?" he asks.

"Just slightly scared thinking that it might have been someone from the local Cartel."
