Time Heals all wounds
Chapter 21th
Guthner and Emilio moved in closer to the cabin. But they ran into the D.O.D. agents sleeping in the pup tents. They had the chance to take them out with the gas bombs to get them out of the tents.
Taking the bombs from out of the backpacks. They readied themselves along with the silencers for the rifles not needing those at the cabin to know that they were here in the first place.
Speaking in Spanish with getting ready. Emilio and his associate throw the gas bombs at the three tents as the three inside began to cough before firing their rifles at the three D.O.D. agents dropping to the cold ground.
"We need to gather anything that might help us with taking out the targets?" Emilio needed to say to his associate checking inside the three tents to find a number of weapons they were able to carry.
They left the bodies. But they didn't bother to check the female laying down on her face having been hit in the right shoulder and stomach. She listened to what they were saying since she was able to understand Spanish. She watched them leave as she tried to turn over with ripping the cloth on her jacket to tie off the bleeding with her shoulder. However, it was a different story with the stomach wound having slowed. She pulled out the cell phone to see if she was able to get a signal.
She had been given the NCIS agent in charge coming here on her cell. She brought up the number having gotten a signal for god sake!
Special Agent McGee having to be outside guarding with his rifle and his cell phone sitting next to him. Then all of a sudden he had gotten a signal. "OMG! Nick, I have a signal. It's telling me that's it from Special Agent Janey Wilkes of the D.O.D., she is one of three camped out behind Gibbs cabin a few miles away." he cried out with needing to answer the phone.
"Special Agent Wilkes what can I do for you?" he asks with looking over at Torres holding his rifle.
"Ambushed by two snipers. I have been hit in the right shoulder and stomach. The other two are dead Special Agent McGee. I suggest you get out of there now with the two of them carrying weapons taken from us."
"Are you able to call for 911 to help you?" he suggested with Nick moving inside to have everyone pack quickly while heading for McGee'sw truck.
Marcie Warren was angry this had happened to them. She packed as quickly as possible, as with Lt. Brown and the others throwing everything into the back of the truck. The flames inside the fireplace were now out with Marcie throwing water on the embers and locking the cabin door.
Moving out of the cabin and into the truck. McGee moved out quickly on the only road available. Meanwhile, Special Agent Wilkes had called 911 and was on the way via helicopter. She didn't know how much longer she was able to survive her injuries.
The medical helicopter took off from the Pussem county airfield with a state trooper on the way over to the location to find her out cold. He was able to use his first aid bag filled with medical equipment to place a pressure bandage on the stomach wound. Along with giving her a syringe filled with antibiotics until the helicopter arrives. Sergeant James Robbs was able to see the helicopter in the sky heading his way in the clearing enough room to land straight down.
The clearing lights were on since it was only now getting dark making it hard to see. The pilot was able to land just perfectly as Sergeant Robbs was able to let the technicians on board with what was done on the woman.
They were in contact with the county hospital receiving orders to start an I.V., along with blood plasma until they get her to the hospital. Carefully they placed the D.O.D. agent onto the stretcher and securing it once they had gotten her inside the helicopter.
Once they had gotten her in and secured. The pilot had taken off to head for Pussem county medical center with the doctors waiting for their patient.

Four hours later Senior Field agent Timothy McGee and his team along with Marcie Warren exhausted arrived back at Bethesda hospital. McGee had called Vance to let him know at home about the situation with the snipers and the two agents dead and one badly injured from the D.O.D., Nick Torres and Lt. Brown had gone downstairs for coffee and food to bring it up to the waiting room.
Meanwhile with permission from the doctors. Marcie Warren needed to see Special Agent Gibbs making sure he's alright.
He was asleep when he started to wake after given strong pain medication to knock him out for a few hours. He woke to see someone sitting while watching him. It was his wife of two months. "Marcie, how in the world did you get here or am I dreaming?"
"You're not dreaming Jethro. We left Pussem county four-plus hours ago after a possible attack with two snipers killing two and injuring one of the D.O.D. agents. We decided to come here after a long drive. I am happy Jethro, you survived the surgery after hearing how bad you were injured?"
"Believe me Marcie I didn't think I would either. I am just glad that Alejandro Riveria is dead now. Even though there are others that will be taking over his spot as the local Cartel leader." coughing as it had alerted that he might be in trouble. But she offered him a small glass of water from the pitcher. While making sure he had to drink it slowly.
