Chapter Five: A Night Out

Serena sat at her desk working on the plans for the upcoming school year. All the assessments were finally completed and school was a mere two months away. There was a lot still to be done including this benefit. Her focus kept being pulled by thoughts of Sesshomaru and the last few days. 'He was so protective at lunch the other day' she thought a soft smile gracing her lips 'I haven't been protected like that is so long, I'd almost forgot what it felt like.'

She rose from her desk and walked to the big windows that lined a wall of her office. It was one of her favourite features, sometimes she stayed late so she could sit and stare at the moon. Her home. As she gazed out at the city, she thought of how nice it felt to belong to someone even if it was for a moment. The way they danced together and laughed, he laughed with her and not just smirked.

'Stop it!' she chastised herself 'He is taken you fool! He was probably acting on Inu instinct that day. If he knew the danger you brought here to his family, to his precious daughter? He would run you out of town himself'

Sango, Kagome and Ayame walked in laughing. "Good, you are done working" Ayame said.

Serena turned to face them, pulling her fake smile back into place. If they knew she had feelings for Sesshomaru, they would never let her live it down. Knowing Kagome she would probably try to push them together.

"Why?"

"Cause we are having a girl's night out!" Sango yelled pumping her fist into the air.

"We are?" she questioned

"Yes" Kagome replied slipping her arm through Serena's "and you are coming over so we can all get ready to together.

Sango linked her arm on the other side and proceeded to pull a reluctant Serena from her office.

"Wait get ready? To go where?"

Ayame proceeded to dance in front of them "We are going dancing baby! And going to shake our asses all night long"

Her eyes widened "Oh no no I – "

"No way! You are not getting out of this lady. I want to see you all sexed up" Ayame stated, pointing her finger at Serena.

She groaned loudly and shook her head causing all three women to laugh. Their laughter caught the attention of the gentlemen congregating around Sesshomaru's office. They watched as the women dragged the helpless woman towards them.

"And what is so funny?" Toga asked

Kagome smiled and replied "We are going out to the club tonight and she isn't happy about it"

"We are going to make you look hotter then you do now" injected Sango

"Do I even want to know?" questioned Serena dreading what they had in store her.

Ayame piped up ignoring her question "I'm thinking a black leather mini-skirt with black knee-high boots ohh and that navy sleeveless blouse you have that hugs your curves"

"She has the body for it" added Miroku, earning agreements from Koga.

Serena's face turned red from embarrassment, she hated being the center of attention. "Oh what about makeup?" Sango asked. The girls began all talking animatedly about what would look good and how her hair should be done when a voice interrupted them.

"She does not need makeup"

Everyone's attention snapped to Sesshomaru who had been silent this whole time. She stifled a smile, he was taken she kept reminding herself.

"He is right" Toga added then smiled "you know what why don't Izayoi and I take the kids and you all go out?"

"Great idea pops!" Inuyasha said.

"Thanks dad" added Kagome thinking this was a great opportunity to get Sesshomaru and Serena closer. She was a perfect match for him, Kagome was determined to get them together.

"I just got home a few days ago. I am tired and wish to spend time with Rin" retorted Sesshomaru.

"By the time you all leave she will be fast asleep" remarked Toga "I'm Alpha and your father so consider it an order. Go have fun for once." Toga turned and walked to the elevators "I'm going home to see my grandpups. I expect to see you all there soon."

Toga was a demon who valued pack above everything. All Inus did, it was in their nature to want a large pack. Hence why he had adopted the others, they were his children now. The pack all lived in the Taisho Manor and Toga would not have it any other way. It was a grand stone manor that contained four wings with Sango, Miroku, Koga and Ayame sharing the East. Rin and Sesshomaru in the South, Inuyasha, Kagome and Shippo in the North. Izayoi and Toga had the West wing to themselves but made sure the children had rooms there for when they babysat. They all ate together and shared the common living space. The manor sat on expansive grounds that allowed for a massive garage, a swimming pool and a garden. It also had a smaller building in the back of the property that contained a dojo for training. They may not be living in days past but Toga refused to get lax. He never knew what dangers were coming and refused to be caught unprepared thus putting his mate and pack in danger.

His wife and mate, Izayoi cared for the manor and their grounds. The garden was all her. It had been featured on the covers of magazines all over the world for its beauty. She took her duties as Lady of the West quite seriously despite it being only recognized by demon society. He had hoped to retire and hand things over to Sesshomaru but he had no mate yet.

'Though from what Inuyasha told me of lunch maybe he will soon' he thought entering the house.

"I'm home!"

The sound of two sets of little feet scurrying to the door was soon followed by Toga being tackled to the floor.

"PAPA!" Rin and Shippo yelled.

Toga chuckled as his mate entered. This is was his favourite part of the day.

"Hello my dear, how was work?"

"Productive my love. The benefit is coming along nicely," he replied as he stood placing a pup on each hip.

"When is Daddy coming home?" squealed Rin

Izayoi smiled "he will be home soon. Now come you three, it is time for dinner"

The kids sat and ate dinner with their grandparents discussing the adventures they had with their grandmamma that day. Toga discussed the school and Rin showed him the drawings she had done. She had become obsessed with the cottage Serena told her about except now the garden was filled with fairies and princesses. Shippo gagged saying it was too girly. He showed Toga his progress with his foxfire. Toga could never tire of spending time with his grandpups, he missed a lot during the day and wished he could be at home with them. After dinner, Rin and Shippo helped tidy up then ran off to play. They were only two years apart and got along immensely like they were siblings.

"So any new developments?" asked Izayoi. She had become very invested in the budding attraction between Sesshomaru and Serena. She was concerned like any mother would be, she wanted to see Sesshomaru happy and settled. He was happy being a father but she could see there was a missing piece, his mate.

Toga shook his head "no, there could have been but Kagura showed up ruining that. Though I did peek in and saw them dancing with each other, had no idea I was there either they were so wrapped up in each other"

Izayoi smiled "I think she could be the one. I do love her. She is sweet, smart, loves Rin and she keeps him on his toes"

"Agreed" Toga nodded "hopefully Sesshomaru sees it as well"

"I just want him to find love so he isn't alone"

Toga grunted in agreement "The girls are going out tonight so I told the men to go as well and we would keep an eye on the pups"

Toga gathered his mate in his arms, kissing her gently. Even after all these years she was still the most beautiful woman in the room. He couldn't imagine his life without her.

"My dear are you meddling?"

Toga feigned shock "who me? Now I would never do that"

His mate just rolled her eyes

"I do remember you locking Koga and Ayame in a closet until they finally got together"

He chuckled at the memory, that was an entertaining few hours.

An hour later the group strolled through the front door.

"DADDY!" screamed Rin as she barrelled towards Sesshomaru. He easily picked her up and tossed her in the air causing her to giggle. He smothered in kissing breathing in her scent. It always calmed him. She had greeted him this way every day since he came home, it was the longest he had been away from her and it has been hard for them both. He was happy he was not going to go away for a long while.

"I missed you, Daddy"

Sesshomaru snuggled her close rumbling in his chest "I missed you too little one"

He snuggled her close for a few minutes as she rambled off all the things he missed.

"Someone is happy to see you" Serena said. It was sweet to see him so affectionate with his daughter. She felt her skin heating up at the sight of him acting as a father. She ached to have that in her life.

"Miss Serena!"

Rin scrambled from her father's arms and hugged her legs. She got down to Rin's level giving her an Eskimo kiss. "Hi Rin, how is my favourite girl?"

Rin giggled "I am good. I missed you Serena, can I show you my room? I worked hard on my pictures today"

"Of course you can sweetie" she lifted Rin into her arms and smothered her in kisses. The giggling pair left forgetting about Sesshomaru and the others standing there.

"I believe we were ditched" stated Inuyasha "she didn't even notice us"

"Tell me about it" grumbled Sesshomaru "I'm her father and I got maybe ten minutes of her attention."

"You are lucky you got that from her" Sango interjected "She hangs onto every word Serena says."

The group settled into the living room with Inuyasha, Kagome and Sesshomaru on one couch. Miroku, Sango, Koga and Ayame on the other. Izayoi and Toga eventually joined the chatting "Shippo abandoned us once he saw Serena was here"

They settled on the love seat. "Join the rejection club" Koga joked.

"The kids love her so much and no matter how much time she spends with them she never gets tired of it" said Kagome "it is amazing. I'm his mom and even I need a break sometimes, where does she get the energy?"

Everyone nodded in agreement. Sesshomaru normally would feel jealousy towards the female but he could only imagine her as Rin's mother and swollen with his seed. His pants tighten in response which had been happening all day.

"Tell me more about her"

"Why Sesshomaru?" Toga asked smiling, the smell of his son's attraction tinting the air around them.

"She is going to be teaching my child"

'And one day will be sporting our mark and carrying our pup' his beast piped up

"Well I know it hasn't been easy for her" Kagome began "she never talks about it, but she let it slip once that when she was sixteen her whole family was murdered."

Several gasps were heard with Izayoi tearing up thinking of the poor child so scared and alone at only sixteen. Ayame and Sango shed a few times thinking of Serena dealing with that loss all alone, she had become like a sister to them. They couldn't imagine her being hurt that way. Sesshomaru clutched his hands in anger, how could anyone want to hurt her in that way? She was entirely selfless and kind-hearted. He looked longing at the stairs, he wished he could go up to her and just hold her.

Toga sighed "I didn't know that, no wonder she is guarded."

Sango brushed some tears away asking "what happened?"

Kagome shrugged "I don't know the details" taking a deep breath in "she couldn't say it without breaking down, but I do know she has been on her own since then. Plus I don't think they caught the person who killed them."

Every male suddenly tensed feeling the need to protect the small woman. Inuyasha growled deep, he looked at Serena like a little sister "why do you say that mate?"

He had known what happened but not that the perpetrator hadn't been caught. Kagome had been too upset that night to tell him that part, not that he was much better considering he ripped a pillow in half. He certainly would never bring it up or ask Serena about it. He didn't like to push her too much, he hated to see her cry. He felt this instinct to protect her and shield her like a big brother would.

"Well don't you notice she always has her head on a swivel? It's like she is just waiting for something to appear and kill her. Like she is expecting the inevitable. Plus…." She paused. Sesshomaru narrowed his gaze "Continue"

"When I hired her, I did a background check. Like we always do, nothing back came up until...a year ago, Serena Luna didn't exist. I mean whoever created her identity did a thorough job with records, healthcard and the whole bit. It just so happens Koga is better"

Koga nodded "It sounds like she is trying to hide, like Kagome said he did a good job. It took me a few hours to figure out that her records were all falsified. I couldn't find all her aliases but before Serena, she went by Rei. I didn't realize that was the reason, here I thought it was a jealous ex-boyfriend or something."

A few tears fell from Kagome's eyes as she thought back to the night she found out about her family. They had been drinking wine and talking about nothing important then somehow they got on the topic of family. Kagome told her about losing her father in college and how Toga took her in before she even mated Inuyasha. That's when she let it slip out that she had also lost family, her entire family for that matter. Serena sobbed in her arms for hours and begged her not to say anything.

"I've never seen someone so afraid of something but at the same time there was this determination in her eyes. It seems like she isn't afraid for her own well being but everyone around her. I think she has accepted her fate but refuses to let anyone else get hurt. I think she is almost waiting for the other shoe to drop."

Inuyasha hugged her close smelling her sadness "that's why we weren't worried about hiring her or accepting her into the pack. She would gladly sacrifice herself for those kids or any of us. That I know for sure."

'That explains why she wouldn't discuss her parents or the prospect of dating or children' Sesshomaru thought, feeling angry that he had even brought it up. He wanted to corner her and find out what happened, who was hunting her and how to find them. Sesshomaru wanted to hunt that vermin down and make them beg for death as punishment for causing her any ounce of pain. He didn't worry about leaving Rin or his nephew in her care as he had seen how caring she was. It was almost like he knew deep down, she would sacrifice herself for his little girl but he would ensure she would never have to. He would protect what was his.

A sombre mood fell over the group as they thought back to all the moments they shared with her. Miroku spoke up "that explains why she flipped out during your last moon change Inuyasha" his eyes widen in remembrance.

Sesshomaru furrowed his eyebrows in confusion "what happened? Besides Inuyasha becoming a weak fragile human." He chuckled as he dodged a thrown pillow.

Miroku continued "we had come over for a movie night and no one had told her about Inuyasha, it must have slipped our minds. She was playing upstairs with the kids and when he walked in she didn't recognize him" he sighed and rubbed his face "she screamed, stood in front of the children protectively and…"

"Wench flipped me on my back and held a blade to my throat!" Inuyasha interrupted rubbing his neck. Sango rolled her eyes "can you blame her? If that's her history and she didn't recognize you, I would have done the same thing"

"Plus when she realized who it was, she broke down crying and apologized" Miroku interjected.

Kagome looked contemplative for a moment. "What is it Kagome?" Sesshomaru asked. Her head snapped up "she mumbled something and it just came back to me"

"What was it?"

"She said I thought you were him. I thought you were Sion"

Izayoi turned to her mate in confusion "who is Sion?"

Toga wrapped his arm around her protectively "I don't know but I plan on finding out"

The men nodded. If someone was threatening a member of their pack, they would be dealt with swiftly and painfully.

'No wonder she is so closed off and smelt of fear' Sesshomaru thought 'I will protect her. No one will get close to her, not while I have breath in my body'

"We will protect her" he said. They all nodded in agreement.

A few moments later, a quiet voice broke the silence that had fallen upon the group. "I think I wore them out." The group looked up to see Serena carrying a child on either hip. They were nestled against her shoulder fast asleep, their tiny hands gripping her clothes. Images of her swollen with his seed and rocking their pup to sleep flashed across his mind.

"Aww how sweet" Izayoi gushed "here I'll take them and put them to bed"

Sesshomaru felt his pants tighten watching her nuzzle his daughter. His stepmother took Shippo placing him on one hip and attempted to take Rin. Rin refused to let go of the woman, her tiny fists clutching her shirt. Serena rested her head on Rin's humming to her and rocking her back and forth. He felt himself involuntarily smile at the sight. Toga watched the interaction and couldn't help but chuckle, yes Serena would be his daughter in law once Sesshomaru figured it out.

"Hmm no sere" she mumbled nuzzling closer.

Serena rubbed her back kissing her forehead. Sesshomaru suddenly stood and walked over "we will put her to bed" as he placed his hand on Serena's back and led her up to Rin's room. Toga's gaze following them noting how they looked like a small family. He knew Sesshomaru was confused about his intense and sudden affection for the woman, he hoped he would figure out what was so plain to them soon.

Serena lowered Rin into her bed, tucking her in and kissed her forehead. "Sleep soundly and let the stars watch over you" she whispered so quietly even his demon hearing struggled to hear it. He leaned over and nuzzled his daughter's face goodnight and rumbled low. She admitted a tiny growl in response causing the pair to chuckle. They shut her door and stood in the darkened hallway. Serena turned to leave but was stopped by Sesshomaru's hand.

"Who is Sion?"

She froze. Her heartbeat quickened.

"What did you say?" her eyes widening. That name still caused her pain to this day.

"Who is Sion?" he repeated. Serena turned to face him noting how close they were standing. She couldn't look at him, staring at the ground. Could she tell him who she was? Why she was being hunted? It would bring so much danger to the family. Sesshomaru grasped her chin and tilted her head to look at him.

"I would never let Rin get hurt! I would die protecting her. I swear to you she will not feel pain because of me" she blurted out. He had to know that. The idea that Rin would suffer because of her made her heartbreak a little. She would gladly leave with Sion if it meant keeping her safe. He leaned close to her, if she moved an inch they would be kissing. He was not concerned for Rin's safety, she was guarded constantly and everyone in the demon world knew better than to come after a Taisho child. If they did, they would be hunted to the end of the earth and beg for death.

"It is not her safety I am concerned about" he whispered "it is you I worry for. Who is he, little star?"

He stepped forward trapping her body between the wall and him, placing an arm on either side. Her breath quickened noting how much she wanted to lean up and kiss his soft lips. A tear escaped and fell from her eye. He brushed it away with his thumb.

"Please don't ever ask me that again. He is dangerous and one day he will find me and kill me so I will not risk your safety or Rin's. I wouldn't survive it" she said ducking under his arm "don't go searching, you won't like what you find."

Izayoi walked out of the room she put Shippo in, they tried to keep the children close when they were being babysat. "Oh am I interrupting?"

Serena wiped her hand across her face "no I'm going to join the girls to get ready." Sesshomaru reached out and grabbed her hand "we are not done this discussion."

She pulled her hand back and he suddenly missed her closeness "yes we are, leave it to rest Sesshomaru." Izayoi looked at her retreating form and turned to Sesshomaru "What was that?"

Serena followed the sound of music and laughing down to Kagome's master bedroom. 'How did he know that name? I've never spoken to anyone about who I am or where I'm from.' She clutched her chest 'I must protect the crystal. I am Queen of the silver moon and that is my duty.' She took a deep breath calming her heartbeat and entered Kagome's room.

"There you are!" yelled a slightly buzzed Ayame hugging her. The trio were already taking shots of vodka and dancing in their underwear. "Alright!" announced Sango "time for you to strip so we can sexify you."

"That's not a word Sango"

"Whatever! It is now, get naked"

Serena removed her heels, black dress pants and unbuttoned her blouse. She shrugged it from her shoulders leaving her in a black lacy bra and boy shorts. Ayane let a hoot smacking her on the ass. "I'm telling you Sesshomaru needs to get his head out of his ass and claim you."

Serena was going to remind her that he was taken when Kagome came to her rescue "Ayame, leave her be." She missed Kagome giving her a look that said she was taking care of it. Kagome grabbed a hairbrush and began running it through her hair. She gathered it up to put it in a high ponytail when she gasped.

"What's wrong Kagome?" asked Sango as she and a concerned Ayame made their way over. Serena grimaced, she knew what it was that caused her shock but couldn't hide it now.

"Oh my kami! Serena who did that?" she asked. A deep scar ran from her right shoulder diagonally to her left hip. Like someone had tried to slice through her. Kagome ran her fingers across it, whatever caused this left a deep wound that could have easily killed her. Serena shrugged off Kagome's hands turning "it was a very long time ago."

Kagome gave her a look of sympathy knowing she must have been referring to that night. The night her family died. She nodded.

"Fuck that!" growled Ayame "I'll kill the bastard."

Serena smiled at how loved she was by her friends. She hugged the wolf demon "no need Ayame, come get me dressed okay?" hoping to distract them. Ayame begrudgingly accepted, their buzz officially gone.

"Jesus what are they doing?" Inuyasha complained as he paced the living room.

"Oh calm yourself, they will be down soon" Miroku sighed trying to appear patient. Sesshomaru brushed an invisible piece of lint off his crisp white dress shirt. He had it tucked into a pair of black dress pants and left a couple of buttons unbuttoned at the top. Miroku was also wearing a dress shirt but his was dark purple with black slacks. Koga was wearing a dark green shirt, a brown leather jacket and dark jeans. Inuyasha in his signature red t-shirt with a black leather jacket and black jeans.

"Finally!" exclaimed Inuyasha. Kagome was dressed in a red bodycon dress and black stilettos. Sango was wearing a white strapless dress that stopped just below her ass and strappy nude heels. Ayame was barely wearing clothes. Dressed in a cropped green shirt with long sleeves and a skirt so short he prayed she didn't bend over.

Sesshomaru felt his breath hitch when Serena entered the room. Her hair was down but had a slight curl at the ends. She wore a black leather skirt that stopped mid-thigh showing off her creamy legs topped with a navy blue halter blouse tucked in. She had a pair of knee-high black boots on her feet. She was more covered then all three women but somehow look sexier. He appreciated that she wore no makeup. He took a deep breath and was pleased to find she had only her natural scent. It was going to be very difficult to keep his arousal under control tonight. Miroku whistled at the ladies and slipped his arms around Sango's waist "you ladies look hot!"

Serena stood awkwardly next to Sesshomaru feeling out of place next to all the couples. "Beautiful" he whispered. She looked up at him and blushed deeply. He never looked hotter, she could catch a glimpse of his chiselled chest underneath his dress shirt. Her body began to heat up thinking of what it would be like to run her hands over his chest. She quickly shut down the thought, he was taken. His beast purred in response, he could smell her arousal spike while her eyes roamed his body. He let his eyes travel down her body. He pictured her with her skirt pushed up to her hips, her breasts heaving as she rode him. Her head tilted back moaning his name. His beast had been sending him increasingly intimate visions of the two of them, making love and Sesshomaru marking her as his own.

Koga grabbed Ayame "alright let's get this night started." They piled into the limo Toga had kindly ordered for them so they could enjoy the night. A short while later, the limo pulled up to Club Yokai. A well-known demon club where they could let go and drop their concealment. Although there was integration and acceptance, most demons kept their concealments up either because it was habit or due to the small population that still didn't want them integrated. The bouncer opened the door immediately and ushered them in, the Taisho family waited in no lines. This earned them many envious looks.

"Wait can we do that?" Serena questioned.

Sesshomaru placed his large hand on the small of her back like it belonged her leading her to the VIP area roped off for them. "When you are with me" he replied "no door is ever closed to you."

She blushed and he had to admit he enjoyed it immensely. 'She has no idea what she does to me blushing like that, looking like she does' he felt his pants tighten and bit back a groan when her body brushed his. The group earned numerous looks from other patrons as they made their way to their section. The girls drooled over the men and the boys couldn't help but undress the women. Inuyasha let out a warning growl to any yokai warning them to back off.

The music was pumping loudly and it wasn't long before the girls went off to dance. The males stayed behind to enjoy their drinks, Sesshomaru sipped a glass of whiskey. After an hour of dancing nonstop, Serena made her way back to the VIP section ignoring the catcalls and whistles from humans who frequented the club. She sat down next to Sesshomaru. He enjoyed seeing her panting but wished it was due to her writhing underneath him in pleasure and not from dancing.

"I need a break and a drink" she said fanning herself. Sesshomaru tried to hand her a fruity cocktail he ordered since that is what the girls usually ordered. She cocked her eyebrow at him, reached over his outstretched with the cocktail and snatched his glass of whiskey. She took it in one shot with a hiss.

"I'm not one for fruity. I prefer something with more heat"

She stood up, fixed her skirt and smiled "Thanks for the drink boys" leaving four shocked faces in her wake. Serena smirked and bit her lip trying not to laugh at their reaction. She knew he was taken but something about the atmosphere left her feeling emboldened, Sesshomaru stared at her retreating backside. Kami what that damn woman was doing to him.

"Dude I can smell your arousal from here" Inuyasha exclaimed scrunching up his nose.

"Who wouldn't be turned on by that" Koga gestured to where Serena had been standing "That was hot."

He turned glaring at his brother "I do not know what you mean hanyou"

"Haha you can try to insult me all you want big brother but you cannot deny what you are feeling forever"

"And what pray tell might that be?" he asked pouring himself another glass of whiskey. He took a sip where her lips had touched and savoured the slight taste her mouth left behind. It was sweet and subtle. He wanted more.

Inuyasha's ears twitched "your beast is calling for her isn't it? And you don't understand why because you just met her"

"How do you know that?" his eyes narrowing. He hadn't mentioned his beast awakening to anyone, not even his father. He was confused, he felt himself falling in love with her but his logical side kept telling him that he just met her. That was impossible wasn't it? He knew the Inu species moved quickly but this fast?

Koga laughed "I didn't know Ayame, I smelt her and my beast went nuts"

Inuyasha nodded "when we were in college, I heard Kagome laugh and my beast almost marked her right there."

Sesshomaru's gaze slipped over to Serena dancing with the girls, the way her body flowed and the lights played off her skin. She looked angelic. Was she his true mate?

"Look brother" Inuyasha said standing up to come stand beside him "if you wanted to just fuck her this" he gestured towards her "wouldn't be so hard. But you don't"

He cocked his eyebrow in response.

"You want to mate her, love her, pup her and protect her for all eternity. I can see it in the way you look at her, it is the same way we all look at our mates."

He had to admit his brother was not entirely wrong. The image of her sporting his mark and calling him mate was more then pleasurable. It felt like home. She felt like home. Maybe his little brother wasn't so dimwitted.

"If you are going to make your claim though I'd do it soon before someone moves in on your girl" Inuyasha said nodding towards the dance floor. A group of human men were attempting to dance with their women and failing. The men growled audibly. "I think it time we joined them gentlemen don't you agree" Koga stated as he and Miroku made their way to the dance floor. Inuyasha began to follow them, turning to look to his brother "she is one of a kind."

"Like a bright star in a dark sky" Sesshomaru whispered.

He left VIP and stalked towards the dancefloor. A greasy looking man was attempting to get her to dance with him. Luckily the other three ladies had been pulled away by their mates. Normally Inuyasha would jump in to put an end to the situation but he left it to Sesshomaru, it was time he grew a pair and staked his claim.

"Come on sugar" he sneered "I'll show you a real good time"

Serena's nose scrunched up in disgust "And I said no. I'm here with my friends so back off"

He grabbed her wrist roughly yanking her towards him. "So?" she could smell the alcohol on his breath. He tightened his grip on her wrist and it hurt.

"Ouch stop!" she yelled and pulled back so hard she fell, her body hitting something hard. Looking up, she saw Sesshomaru's tall figure. The lights flashed across his face briefly showing his look of rage, his eye bleeding red. 'Why is he so angry? He has a girlfriend' she thought.

"I believe she asked you to stop"

"Who the hell are you?" the drunk man slurred. Sesshomaru pulled her flush to his body.

"She belongs with me so I suggest you leave now" The tone of his voice left no room for argument. He nodded to security who escorted the man out before turning his attention to the small woman in front of him. He brought her wrist up to his face growling at the bruise already forming. He was lucky security took him away or else he would have beat him senseless for marking her flawless skin.

"Are you okay little star?" he asked

Serena nodded against his chest, she didn't have the heart to correct him on the nickname he gave her.

"Thank you for saving me" she whispered

He chuckled in response "I have a feeling you could have taken care of the fool yourself but I did not feel like explaining why there would be blood on the dance floor"

She smiled and shook her head "probably wouldn't look good huh?"

He laced his fingers through her staring hungrily at her. It confused her, didn't he have a girlfriend? Why was he looking at her like he wanted her?

"Shall we dance?"

She gulped "you want to dance with me?"

He slipped his hand around her waist pressing her body against his. He inwardly groaned at the feeling of her breasts against his chest. Serena looked up at him through her lashes, all her self-control and rational gone.

"There is no one I'd rather have in my arms"

Sesshomaru placed both his hands on Serena's hips swaying to the music. She let her hands travel up his chest to rest on his arms. The music pumped as the couple dance blocking out everyone else. Sesshomaru suddenly spun her around pressing her back against his chest. She arched her back pushing her ass into him. He hissed and moved his hand to rest just above her womanhood. Leaning down he whispered "be careful my little star or I cannot be held for my actions." Her arousal spiked 'so she likes my dominating side' he mused. He trailed the fingertips of his one hand up her side brushing the side of her chest. Sereia's head fell back on his shoulder, her mouth slightly ajar. For hours, their bodies continued to move perfectly in sync with one another until they were both covered in a sheer coating of sweat. As they moved against another, Serena forgot about the danger she was in and the fact that he had a girlfriend. All she focused on was the man pressed against her and how good his touch felt. She pushed her chest against him and his hands gripped on to her ass.

"Sesshomaru" she moaned slightly.

Staring at her pouted lips, he leaned down "yes Serena"

"I –" she started leaning closer. Just as their lips were about to meet, a drunk cat demon bumped into them, snapping Serena back into reality.

"Oops" giggled the demon stumbling away. Oh stars what had she almost done? She almost kissed him! He has a girlfriend and a daughter to think of and here she is throwing herself at him.

She stood panting staring at the silver-haired man in front of her. She was flustered. She felt stupid. He opened his mouth to speak.

"THERE YOU ARE!" a very drunk Kagome and Sango stumbled over. "Buzzkill over there" pointing to Inuyasha who just shrugged "says it's time to go."

Serena let the girls led her away looking over he shoulder to Sesshomaru. "Yes I think so."
