Chapter Fourteen: Their First Night

The children were already put to bed by Kaede as it was midnight by the time they returned from the memory. "Yes" he said firmly kissing her lips "you are mine. I won't have you thinking otherwise. I'll get you something to sleep in and tomorrow we will get your stuff from your apartment. This is your home now. You are mine and I want you close to me"

Serena smiled brushing her fingers across his cheek "I love you Sesshomaru, I am happy to move in with you. I am looking forward to sleeping and waking next to you"

Sesshomaru made a vow to himself to protect her, Rin, and any pups they had together. It had to be hard watching her in pain, watching someone try to kill her, and not being able to help her. But the way she fought, showing her strength and attempting to comfort him demonstrated not only how strong she was but how large her heart was. He was a lucky man that he knew. Sesshomaru wanted to hunt down this monster tonight, tearing the city apart until he found him. He cast a glance towards his room, she needed him more.

He changed into sweatpants as he frequently slept naked but didn't want Serena to feel pressured.
