Author's Note: So no I don't have her changing into sailor moon mainly because it is slightly different than how she was sent to earth. I also added Sailor Uranus's power because well I like it haha I think it is one of my favourites so I put it in. Sue me. I also added the staff which I pictured as being similar to Sailor Saturn's staff she had, I thought it would be cool to make her this more warrior Queen who was a bit of a badass in a fight. I hope you all like the chapters!
Chapter Twenty: A Powerful Queen
"Agreed" Toga said from the door holding Rin in his arms. Rin looked concerned wondering if her Mama was mad at her for telling everyone what happened.
"How long have you all been standing there?" Sesshomaru asked, a blush gracing Serena's cheeks. Inuyasha shoved past his father "just since you two started making out, which gross."
Inuyasha pointed at Sesshomaru scowling "also I knew you would mention being King eventually. I'm not bowing to you!" mock punching his brother in the shoulder.
Rin jumped from her Papa's arms and ran to Serena.
"Mama!" she said as Serena easily lifted her up "I'm sorry, I told Daddy about saving Rin"
"It's okay sweet girl, Mama should have been honest with Daddy earlier."
Sesshomaru kissed Rin's head and watched her play with Serena's hair trying to braid it. Her crescent moon shining brightly against her fair skin. Sesshomaru liked that she kept her concealment down when she was home, her crescent moon was one of his favourite things to look at. Rin turned to Sesshomaru and held out her hands waiting to be held by her dad. He took her and sat on the sidelines with the others. Serena picked up her staff recalling it to her subspace pocket. She shifted from foot to foot feeling incredibly awkward, she had never shown off her abilities before. She trained with Luna relentlessly after she healed, Luna refused to have her to give up. There were many times she wanted to especially in the early days. She cried and begged for time to mourn. Luna would remind her that she was the only thing standing between Sion getting the crystal and covering the universe in darkness, she could not afford to be weak. Therefore she trained, seven days a week for years before she had mastered all the skills Luna felt necessary for her survival and success in defeating Sion.
"So I have never shown anyone but Luna all this. She trained me after I healed on how to use my abilities and everything. Just don't get close okay?" holding her hands up telling them to stay.
They all nodded feeling especially curious about what powers the petite woman standing in front of them had.
Serena took a deep breath and shook out her hands "okay so when my guardians passed, their gifts automatically passed to me…"
"Gifts?" interrupted Miroku
"Yes, kind of like…"
"Kagome's reiki or Sesshomaru's poison whip?" Miroku interrupted again. Serena clenched her jaw tapping her foot impatiently.
"Are you going to keep interrupting or can I get on with it?" she said irritated.
Miroku put his hands up in surrender.
"As I was saying, my guardians passed certain planetary gifts to me when they died. These abilities represent their home kingdoms. They gave me abilities they felt I would need to defend the crystal and fight against Sion. I didn't know about them at first until Luna told me when I was healed. They don't take energy as the crystal does but I may be a little rusty. It has been years since I used them" Sesshomaru gave her an encouraging look and said "show us little star"
"Okay just again don't move"
Serena turned to face the other side where a cluster of targets sat. She cracked her neck and brought her hands up like she was holding a bow concentrating, she shouted "Mars Flame!"
A Flaming bow and arrow appeared in her hand as she shot off four arrows at the targets. They were instantly set aflame. The fires burned hot, they could feel the heat from where they were sitting. Drawing her hands back together in front of her chest, she then said "Mercury Shine Aqua Illusion!" and pushed her arms out. A steam of water from her outstretched hands which dosed the fire and turned the targets to ice. The targets crumbled to the floor in a heap of ash and ice. She paused momentarily before turning to the shocked faces of her family.
"Okay I know that's a lot to start"
"To start?!" exclaimed Koga bouncing up and down in excitement
Ayame leaned in eagerly "What else can you do?"
Serena shook her head "I can't do it in here, that's too dangerous" she chided
Inuyasha and Koga jumped to their feet and dragged her outside by her arms. Giddy like two teenagers who discovered a new toy. They planted her on her feet about a hundred feet from the dojo to an unused part of the property.
"Okay let's see it!" Inuyasha said almost jittery with excitement rubbing his hands together. Miroku watched her intently analyzing and committing everything she did to memory. He was already formulating a plan in his head about potential plans of attack when and if Sion showed his face. He knew it wouldn't be long and wanted to be a step ahead if possible.
Serena looked to Sesshomaru gauging his reaction and got nothing but a supportive nod. He was proud of her and her show of strength. 'Our mate is strong' his beast purred. 'I couldn't agree more and she has never been more attractive' he thought. Toga noticing her hesitation stepped forward.
"Go on dear, show off what you can do" like a proud father.
Serena nodded taking several steps back "stand back." Everyone took several steps back watching her intently, they were fascinated by what she would do next.
She clasped her hands together in front of her face, her thumbs and forefingers sticking up and closed her eyes. Concentrating hard. The air suddenly cracked with energy as a thunderstorm appeared out of nowhere. Dark clouds covered the sky above them and the wind kicked up. Her hair whipped around her as thunder boomed in the sky.
"Jupiter Thunderbolt!" Serena exclaimed
A bolt of lightning came from the sky into her clasped hands and shot straight out, cracking a tree down the middle. Just as it appeared, the winds died down and the storm disappeared leaving a cloudless blue sky behind. Quickly she called upon Venus.
"Venus love-me chain!"
A gold chain appeared in Serena's hand, it shone brightly made of small hearts that glowed. She threw it around one half of the tree trunk and she yanked it hard. It came tumbling down to the ground with a crack slamming into the ground with a thunderous thud.
"The last one I shouldn't do, it will cause too much damage" she said turning to face them looking sheepish. Toga shook his head "this part of the property never gets used. Plus Izayoi has been asking for a greenhouse"
She hesitated, still unsure.
"Come on, we want to see how strong you are" urged Kagome, a look of pride on her face. Serena took a deep breath and nodded. Turning to face the forest, she held her one hand above her head called on Uranus.
"Uranus World Shaking!"
Streaks of energy gathered in her hand from the air, she closed her fist and a large ringed sphere formed. She bent at the waist and hurled it towards the ground in the direction of the unused treeline. They could feel the energy move along the ground and up causing an explosion to level a circle in the treeline. Serena panted and slumped to her knees.
"Serena!" they came rushing forward. Sesshomaru quickly passed Rin to Kagome and pulled her into his arms, checking her over.
"I'm okay" she reassured him, she was just a little tired and hungry "I haven't done that in decades, I may be a bit more rusty then I thought. Luna would not be pleased with me slacking off the way I have. I should have eaten something first I suppose"
Sesshomaru nuzzled her cheek breathing in her scent, it was her natural scent mixed with sweat and pure power. It was arousing and pleasing to his beast.
"Stop worrying me, little star" he whispered brushing the stray hairs from her ponytail away from her face.
She smiled up at him and leaned into his touch, breathing slightly heavily. Clearly she needed to get back into a schedule of training regularly.
"I hope I didn't frighten you" looking to her family.
Inuyasha scoffed "frighten us? Feh! That was the coolest thing I have ever seen!" he smiled his wide grin, his fangs poking out "little sister has been holding out on us"
Rin giggled as Kagome set her down "Mama I wanna be strong like you"
Shippo puffed out his chest "me too! Shoot those fire things." He pretended to shoot Rin with arrows as she ran hiding behind Izayoi's legs yelling bad Shippo. Kagome and the others laughed at the children's antics.
"You hold so much more power then we thought, that is a definite advantage over Sion" Miroku said. Serena shook her head, she didn't want to assume anything about her enemy. He had access to dark energy and no idea what he could with it.
"If I've gotten strong, so had he. He hasn't sat back all these years. We don't know what he can do especially with access to all that dark energy and the library in my father's office" she reminded them "if he has harassed that energy like I think he has, there is no limit to what he could potentially do with it"
Suddenly she felt herself lifted up into Sesshomaru's arms.
"First you eat then you can plan and train" he stated as he set off back towards the house calling over his shoulder "we will meet you back in the dojo"
He walked into the dining room and sat her down, bringing over a large plate of food.
"Eat" he commanded pointing to the plate. Serena knew better than to argue especially as her stomach growled loudly.
As she ate, he watched her with interest. Sesshomaru was a daiyokai and as was his father and his father before him. Being a daiyokai means you have an immense amount of strength and power at your fingertips. However his intended was on another level from them. He felt his beast roar with pride at his choice of mate, he wondered how their pups would turn out and which parent they may take after.
"Why are you staring at me like that?" she asked stuffing another strawberry into her mouth.
Sesshomaru took the fork from her hand, pulling her chair to turn and face him.
"You are immensely powerful" he said dragging her chair closer and licking his lips "it is calling to me, to my beast"
Sesshomaru ran his nose down her cheek to her neck, kissing the junction of her throat. He nipped pulling her onto his lap so she was straddling him. His eyes roamed her sweaty body and his tongue instinctually licked a bead of sweat from her shoulder. He wanted to lick every inch of her right now, his hands cupping her ass. He captured her lips thrusting his tongue inside her mouth, she tasted like strawberries. He smelt her arousal spike, pushing her chest against his and tangling her hands into his hair. They moved their lips in sync with one another, the air becoming thick with their desperate need to touch one another.
"Hey dad asked me to…oh gross!" Inuyasha gagged "come on now, no one wants to see her mounting you"
Sesshomaru continued to kiss her lips, his hands not leaving her ass.
"Then I suggest" kiss "you" kiss "leave"
Serena pulled back smiling and flushed
"Unless we want your whole family including our very young daughter walking in, we should go back" she slid off his lap and walked past Inuyasha. Her and Sesshomaru's arousal was heavy in the air. Inuyasha's nose wrinkled and his face held a disgusted look.
"Come off it Inu" she said patting him on the shoulder before walking out
"I don't need to be smelling that shit on my little sister!" he called after her. Sesshomaru gave him a light shove.
"Next time you try to mount your mate I'm going to ruin it for you" he grumbled readjusting himself.
The spent the day training and testing the reaction time of Serena's abilities. Izayoi sat with Rin on the sidelines watching them train, Shippo groaned wanting to join in to practice his foxfire. Inuyasha and Kagome wouldn't let him citing he was too young for this war. He grumbled that it wasn't fair until Serena piped up that there was a much more important job, one that she thought only he could do.
"What job?" he asked annoyed
Serena smiled bending down to his level "I will need someone to stay with Rin and protect her and your grandmama. Someone who is strong and cunning, do you know anyone who can do that?"
Shippo's face broke out in a wide grin "I can! I'll practice my foxfire and fox magic every day! I'll make sure they are safe, I promise" his little face determined, pumping his fist up in the air. She thanked him winking at Kagome and Inuyasha. Inuyasha reminded him that he would need to be consistent and practice every single day since he now had such an important job. He swore he would before running off to another part of the dojo to practice.
As the afternoon went on, Serena was able to call forth her abilities faster and use them without becoming fatigued. 'It is like riding a bike' she thought 'just needed to get back into it.' She went up against Koga, Miroku and Kagome. Inuyasha's jaw almost hit the floor when they were fighting and she not only stopped Tessaiga but pushed him back. Kagome spent the better part of the afternoon into evening with Miroku teaching her to hide her scent as a defence against Sion locating her at the Manor. Serena knew he already knew where she worked but she didn't want him knowing where they lived. That was too close to Rin, Shippo and Izayoi. Kagome was impressed at how well she picked it up. Sesshomaru hated every time her scent was cut off.
Ayame and Sango teamed up against her with Sango using her Hiraikotsu, throwing it from different vantage points having Serena block it with her staff. Ayame used her speed to sneak up on her, yelping when Serena zapped her with a shock of lightning. Ayame was able to throw her on her back a few times tossing her staff far from her grasp. Serena had to rely on her hand to hand against the wolf demon, dodging her claws and the snap of teeth. They wanted to test every attack someone could use against her.
Serena used her own abilities, teaching the others how to dodge and weave past them. As well as how to recover quickly from an attack, she did not know who Sion had recruited to his side. They could be going up against anyone from any of the Kingdoms. They needed to be prepared for whatever was throw at them, water, fire, lightning etc. If they were going to fight with her, she wanted to make sure they were prepared for anything that may be thrown at them. It was fortunate that Miroku and Kagome could help heal any injuries they may incur.
"She is strong" Toga said coming to stand next to Sesshomaru who had not been able to take his eyes off his little star the entire day. She was mesmerizing, the way her body moved in a fight and the strength she held.
He nodded in response keeping his gaze trained on her.
"Hopefully it will be enough this time" added Inuyasha coming to stand next to his brother and father. They watched her light small flames in her hand and shot them at Koga as he tried to dodge and weave. She laughed as he grabbed her, tossing her over his shoulder spinning in a circle.
"This time will be different" stated Sesshomaru "This time, she has us and we will kill him."
