So this takes place somewhere in the timeline of season 3.
Chapter 1: Thank you Cat Noir
It was night time in the capital of France. Paris was glimmering with lights as if stars were on the earth. Ladybug, the superheroine of Paris, sat on one of the rooftops.
Hawkmoth hadn't akumatized anyone that day so she kept a watch out. She had her own reason to be out too. She sighed heavily and put her face between her arms. Her mind recapped what happened that day.
FLASHBACK~
In morning at school,
Adrien entered the building, he searched around for Nino. He saw Marinette scanning for her bestie too. He cheerfully waved at her, receiving a wave too. He walked up to her as she was in middle of the hall.
Marinette turned a little pink as she was going to talk to the boy her heart rings for. She stood in attention and tried fighting her shyness away. She wanted to get the words out flawlessly atleast once.
But, before she he even greeted, Chloe dashed into him and hugged him, "Morning, Adrikins!" She called.
"It's good you came or else the class would be rotting with unending lectures!"
Adrien tried to get out of her grasp but was pulled by the complaining blonde. She pointed at Marinette.
"Look at that rotten red cherry!"
Neither she or Adrien felt comfortable at that comment. He wanted to retaliate but couldn't say anything, but Marinette felt that silence stinging. He wanted to say something but he lost it as Chloe dragged him along. He looked back in sympathy.
Marinette was red from embarassment, Alya who just arrived tapped her on shoulder.
"You ok girl? Don't listen to anything that brat has to say!"
She tried comforting her even though she didn't know what happened. Marinette wanted to tell Alya what happened but kept quiet as it is not a topic to be worried about. But it troubled her. She wanted Adrien to have a good image about her.
Later that day, Marinette left early from the class.
END OF FLASHBACK~
Ladybug felt that melancholy wave hit her again. Just then her buddy dropped in, surprising her.
"Evening, milady! Everything good?"He asked.
Ladybug took a moment to register and replied, "No akuma in sight - yet. Are you not sleepy?"
"Nah... thought I'd fly and check how Paris is sleeping. Didn't expect to see my Bugaboo in the middle of the night."Ladybug crinkled her nose at him, "Don't keep calling me that."
Cat Noir blinked,
"What are you thinking about?"
Ladybug frowned for a second.
Cat Noir:"Who are you thinking about?"
Ladybug:"Someone you have no idea about."
Cat Noir:"I have an idea that he hurt you."
Ladybug:"Of course not! Alright I'm outta here-"
Before she stood up Cat waved his hands."Ok ok, just wait here and I'll be back in a minute."
"Why?" She asked irritatedly. He just winked and extended his staff to flip over another building. As he went she saw the poster of Adrien and sighed.
Why can't I tell him or give him a clue?
She got lost in her thoughts.
Maybe I should try another way-
"I'm back, milady!" The black cat announced as he landed with something in his hands. Ladybug widened her eyes to see two ice creams.
"It's not André's though" He informed as they knew that he was the famous matchmaker in Paris with ice creams.
"Cat Noir, it was not necessary!" Ladybug yelled.
Cat just smiled and started,"I couldn't make many people happy today.So I wanted to..."
Ladybug caught the hint of sadness in his tone. He was being the rare genuine type which she paid attention to.
"Make you happy."
She gazed in awe as she accepted the ice cream. She let the silence take place as Cat Noir's smile and green eyes were glimmering with gladness.
They sat down and licked the dessert and Ladybug exclaimed,"Cookies and Cream! It's delicious Kitty!"
"When you're stressed, it's time for desserts!" He laughed and took a big bite and had a brain freeze.
"Meoww!" He held his head and turned to lady who was giggling. He couldn't help but blush and chuckle along. Her mood was jolly again,
Her cheeks tinted pink and she replied in soft voice.
"Thank you, Cat Noir"
