Chapter Twenty-Six: Who is in the mirror?

Serena hummed to herself as she stapled the brightly coloured border to one of her bulletin boards. She wanted to have plenty of space to display the kid's work. Looking around her classroom, she felt proud and couldn't wait until the school year began. She enjoyed the sounds of children's laughter as they grew and learned more about the world around them.

"Where do you want these?" asked Koga walking in with some brightly coloured beanbag chairs. Serena glanced over her shoulder at him.

"Those go in the reading nook please" pointing to the far side of the classroom.

Koga nodded making his way to the back of the classroom, tossing them into the corner and slumped into one. He needed a break. They had been setting up Serena's classroom for a few hours. Sesshomaru had initially asked Sango to stay with her while he was at a business lunch with Inuyasha and Toga. However, when Sango woke up with a fever, Koga volunteered to stay with her. Miroku stayed behind to take care of his ill wife. Ever since she was attacked, Koga felt the need to ensure her safety when Sesshomaru was absent. Serena was a pack member, making her Koga's sister. Wolf demons were similar to Inu demons in many ways. Passionate, extremely loyal and fiercely protective. Koga had felt like he failed his pack when they went to the venue. Ayame had been so patient and understanding, she knew why he been stuck to Serena's shadow. She was a wolf demon after all. She comforted him and reassured him when he needed it most.

"Thank you for help, I know you have a lot going on," she said casting a supportive glance at him. She was thankful he was there to help, it would have taken twice as long without him. Koga looked to Serena. She stepped off the small ladder taking a look at her handiwork. It looked pretty good; colourful, welcoming and cheerful.

He shrugged "no need to thank me, I wanted to"

Serena turned to him, crossing her arms and cocking an eyebrow "uh-huh you are a terrible liar"

"I'm not lying" he defended himself locking his hands behind his head and stretched out "I wanted to do this." Truth was, he didn't mind it too much. He preferred his job as head of security a lot more but could handle an afternoon playing molly housemaker.

Her gaze softened "Koga…"

"Hmm?" he replied turned to face her.

Serena took a deep breath walking over to one of the student's desks in front of him. They hadn't discussed the explosion since it happened, anytime she tried to bring it up Koga would either leave the room or quickly change the conversation. Serena tried not to push the topic too much, she knew how difficult it had been on everyone. However, Koga needed to know that he wasn't to blame. She hopped on top of the desk, sitting cross-legged.

"I know what happened was incredibly difficult for you…" she started

Koga groaned loudly. 'Ugh talking about feelings' he thought, it was one of his least favourite thing to do, pushing the sharp glass into his eye would be more enjoyable.

"Sere do we need to do this?"

Serena rolled her eyes and grumbled something about him being just as bad as Inuyasha and Sesshomaru.

"Yes! Just listen. I get that you feel like you failed me or some stupid notion" Koga growled jumping to his feet.

"I'm not doing this shit" he grumbled stalking towards the door. Serena jumped from the desk and blocked him, her hands pushing against his chest. She wasn't as strong as him so she knew Koga wasn't pushing against her, Sesshomaru would kill him if he found out she had strained herself.

"Stop. Just stop!" she yelled pushing against his chest "if you leave, I'll tell Sesshomaru and he'll be really mad"

Koga stopped trying to walk away and growled deep in his throat "not okay"

She sighed dropping her hands back to her side. Serena knew it was a low blow but Koga was refusing to hear her.

"I'm sorry but I just need you to listen to me, please?" she pleaded, giving him her best puppy dog look.

"Ugh!" he groaned throwing his hands up interlacing his fingers on top of his head. He pursed his lips tilting his head back, now she was just playing dirty. Koga was strong-willed like Sesshomaru but he did have one weakness. The women in his life, the ones closest to him.

"Fine" he relented, he couldn't say no to her.

"What happened was awful but it wasn't your fault," she said placing her hands on his face forcing him to look at her "if you had stayed with me, Rin would have died. If you had tried to get me out, Rin could have been hurt. If she had been hurt or dead…" she choked up her eyes filled with tears "I would have died. No one was prepared for that, nor did I think we would have to be. He wanted to send a message that he could get to me anywhere."

A few tears dripped from her eyes. Koga's shoulders sagged, his arms hanging limply at his side.

"It's in my instinct to protect and to keep members of our pack safe…" he trailed off

She sighed "I know and I know how difficult it was for you to leave when I ask. But it is killing me watching you beat up yourself over it"

Serena pulled him into a hug, wrapping her arms around his waist and rested her head on his chest. "Please forgive yourself, please?" she begged. He wrapped his arms around her.

Koga laid his head on top of hers, holding her. "I'll try but then you need to stop apologizing for being in our family…you aren't a risk we are taking. You are our family"

Serena chuckled "alright deal, we will both try"

They pulled away. Serena sniffling tears dripping from her eyes. Koga wiped at his face roughly, trying to hide his tears.

"You tell anyone about this" he threatened "and I'll deny it ever happened clear?"

Serena laughed "yea yea big tough wolf"

Koga snapped his fangs at her playfully "fucking right I am!"

She waved him off spinning on her heel to the private washroom in her classroom. Serena shut the bathroom door chuckling at Koga's antics. She could still hear him strutting around talking about how he was a tough wolf and he was feared back in the day. Serena rolled her eyes, she had heard all the stories from Toga and Sesshomaru. Koga may have been fearless but he would never lay a claw on someone who didn't deserve it. Not to mention he was a puddle in the hands of his mate, niece and nephew.

"He was wrong you know, you are a risk. Always will be" a deep voice whispered.

Serena quickly spun around but no one was there. A shiver coursed through her whole body. Shaking her head Serena turned the taps on, bending down and splashed some cool water on her face. Standing straight she patted her face dry, she pulled the towel away from her face. Sion was sneering back at her in the mirror.

"Hello Princess" he growled

A blood-curdling scream escaped her lips and she stumbled backwards falling to the ground. The door busted open, ripping it off its hinges. A feral Koga stood in the doorway snarling. Serena's gaze snapped back to the mirror, he was gone.

'Did I imagine it?' she thought.

"What happened?" he growled scanning the empty bathroom. Serena opened her mouth and nothing came out.

"Well, what happened? Are you okay?" Koga's beast receding crouching down to her level

"Uh yea no, no, I'm okay" she stuttered glancing back at the mirror. Was that all in her head? Or was this a new game? Koga squinted at her, furrowing his brows and sniffed the air. She was lying to him. Something had her frightened.

"You're lying to me…"

Serena blanched, damn demons and their noses.

"I just thought I saw something but I was just seeing things" she gulped hoping he believed her half-truth and didn't push further. She wasn't sure what kind of answer she could give him. Serena herself wasn't even really sure what that was. Koga narrowed his eyes getting extremely close to her face.

"Okay…if you are sure," he said hesitantly

He stood offering his clawed hand helping her to her feet. He glanced at the broken door on the floor.

"Maybe we don't tell Sesshomaru that I ripped off the door?" Koga said grinning nervously. Serena patted his shoulder giggling lightly.

"Just between us" she promised

Koga threw his arm around her shoulders

"See this is why we work so well," he said steering her out of the classroom "but now I'm hungry. I worked too hard today"

Serena laughed teasing Koga back upstairs. She wanted to pop into her office to grab her purse and send a quick text to Sesshomaru letting him know what their plans were for the afternoon. She had been making an effort to keep him in the loop consistently, made Sesshomaru feel more comfortable. Koga grumbled the entire way up about how hungry he was.

"Five minutes!" Serena repeated "than food"

Koga dramatically fell against the receptionist's desk, reaching out. Serena rolled her eyes at his ridiculous behaviour. 'So dramatic' she thought.

"I'm dying Anna" he groaned reaching out for her arm "tell Ayame I love her and to blame Serena. It's her fault I am starving to death"

Anna; their receptionist, laughed at his antics stating she'd make a note. She teased him asking him not to make a mess when he died.

"Drama queen" Serena muttered as she texted Sesshomaru about their plans. She asked about their meeting, he replied it went well and they were just finishing up. Taisho was in the middle of purchasing a large piece of property along the coast. They planned to expand their hotel chain with a new luxury resort. He asked when they returned from lunch to come see him immediately, he had missed her and wanted to spend a few moments alone with her. Serena replied that she loved him and would block off her afternoon just for him.

"Hurry up!" Koga called out for her "I'm wasting away over here. Slowly dying"

Serena shot him a dirty look over her shoulder and strolled into her office, the door shutting behind her. She tossed her phone on her desk, reached for her purse and stopped.

"Ozias was it?" she asked through clenched teeth turning to face Sion's underling. Her eyes widened at his appearance. The entire left side of his face had been badly burned, his flesh was deformed and pulsing black veins. His left arm was barely an arm anymore, shrunken and also covered in these pulsing black veins. Sion had used his dark energy against him when he failed him.

'How did he survive that?' she thought as Ozias approached her.

"Sion do that?" she inquired, flicking her gaze to the door then quickly back to Ozias.

He sneered at her "no thanks to you"

Ozias threw a dagger at her, aimed for her chest. Serena ducked and rolled out of the way spinning around to face him. A hand shot out and tightened around her throat closing her airway. Serena gasped feeling her feet leave the ground, her fingers pulled at his hand as she struggled to breathe. She felt the air leaving her.

"Sion will be pleased when I deliver you" Ozias growled squeezing a little tighter "my master will forgive me when I bring him his prize"

Serena swung her foot back and kicked him in the stomach. The impact causing him to drop her to the floor, she wheezed and coughed. Serena shakily rose to her feet, her hand tenderly touching her now bruised neck. Holding her hands in front of her, she called out "Mercury Aqua Illusion!"

The blast of ice hit Ozias in the chest sending him flying back against the wall with a loud crash. He collapsed to the floor unable to move, his lower half including his hands encased in ice. Koga burst through the previously locked door when he heard the commotion. Looking between a shaken Serena, her hands outstretched, her neck bruised and Ozias unconscious in ice.

"Anna!" he shouted "call Sesshomaru and tell him to get back here ASAP! No one else is to come into this office"

Serena was seething, she could feel the flames of Maris licking at her fingertips. The flames whipped around her hands, heat filling the room. How dare he show his face here again especially after what he had done. Koga took a tentative step forward, Serena's crescent moon was shimmering brightly and her hands cracked with fire. He wasn't sure what was happening to his sister right now. Her gaze never left Ozias, her eyes narrowed in rage.

"Serena…" he called out softly, her fiery gaze snapped to him they held a silver tint to them "it's me, Koga. Sesshomaru is coming so don't do anything rash"

Tiny flames jumped from her hands.

"Rash?" She growled "this vermin almost killed my daughter and he will face judgement for that"

Her voice held an undertone of pure power and authority behind it. Koga wasn't sure this was all Serena. A small flame shot from her hand melting the ice Ozias was encased in, he flopped to the ground unconscious.

"This isn't your sister," Koga said tentatively taking a step towards her. He didn't want to move too quickly, she was much more powerful than him that he knew. He kept his hands outstretched in front of him, this wasn't his sister.

"Do not claim to know what I am" she growled loudly, her trained gaze never leaving the unconscious form of Ozias. She flicked her wrist again sending a flame directly into his shoulder. The pain caused him to writhe on the floor and scream in pain. Serena waited until the screaming died down before sending another flame into his hip.

"Little Star" a deep voice drew her attention away from Ozias. Sesshomaru slowly entered her office followed closely by Toga and Inuyasha. She looked back to the pathetic man on the floor, her fingers cracking the flames intensifying.

"Look at me" he commanded. When Anna called in a panic, he was concerned that something had happened to his mate. He flew back at lightning speed to find his sweet star practically vibrating with power and rage. Her eyes tinted silver, her hands concealed by bright flames and her blonde hair lifting away from her body. He, himself had to fight the urge to kill Ozias immediately. To remove his head from his body. This was the man that had almost killed his little star not once but twice not to mention almost killed his daughter. However, Serena was his sole focus at the moment. He knew that if she killed him now it would break her a little. Her silvery-blue eyes snapped to his golden gaze. This wasn't her. His little star was kind, loving and soft. This person was cold and hard, he had a feeling this was the stone protecting its guardian.

"This is not my little star" he began taking a few steps towards her "you kill him and you won't forgive yourself for it"

The flames encasing her hands whirled out of control for a moment while the silver in her eyes intensified.

"He tried to kill me. To kill Rin. He must be judged for that" Serena argued

Sesshomaru nodded standing tall, he commanded her attention "and he will be but that is not for you to do." He was her Alpha and he would deal out the punishment.

Serena growled deep and for a moment Sesshomaru felt a hint of pride. She was reacting in the same way any Inu demoness would have if her pup had been threatened.

"I am Queen"

Sesshomaru leaped across the floor and grabbed her hands, hissing as the fire singed his skin. If anything brought his intended back, it would be the mere notion of hurting him. Serena's eyes flickered back to their beautiful blue and she blinked at him. Looking down at their clasped hands, his burnt flesh and she gasped loudly. The flames immediately dissipated. Serena ripped her hands away from his, stumbling backwards. Tears welled up in her eyes looking quickly between him and Ozias. She choked out a sob, she had hurt Sesshomaru. In her blind rage, she had injured the one person she loved most. Serena fell to her knees and cried into her hands.

"Inuyasha, Koga take him away" Sesshomaru commanded "keep him in father's office and I'll deal with him later"

Sesshomaru grimaced looking at his hands, they were burnt but already beginning to heal. He wasn't in pain more worried for Serena's reaction, she hated anyone being hurt for any reason. To be the cause of that pain? She probably wouldn't forgive herself. Sesshomaru knelt in front of her removing her hands. Serena immediately grabbed his wrists turning them over to look at what she had done.

"Sesshomaru…" she whimpered "I don't know what came over me"

Serena shook her head violently. When she saw Ozias, a wash of rage came over herself like a tsunami. All she could think about was all Sion had taken from her, had done to her family and that the piece of trash in front of her had helped him. It felt like she was there but not there at the same time. A feeling of disgust with her actions came over her, she was supposed to represent the good and the light. Yet here she was torturing others and hurting the man she loved the most.

"I am so sorry, I…I don't know what I was doing" her face scrunched up in guilt "all I could think about was Rin and he helped to almost kill her"

Sesshomaru listened silently. He sat on the floor leaning back against her desk, he pulled at her arm. Serena did not budge.

"I hurt you" she cried and his heart ached. She had killed before in the heat of battle when the life of herself or her people were in immediate danger but this was a personal vendetta.

"Come here" he demanded pulling at her arm again giving her a stern look. Serena crawled into his lap letting him envelop her in his arms. He rested his head on hers and rumbled in his chest, it always calmed her. Sesshomaru nuzzled her head with his nose waiting for her to calm down. He understood why she reacted the way she did, he wanted nothing more than to rip his head clean off his shoulders. The man that had stabbed his mate was laying in the other room and he wanted to deal out punishment. His fingers brushed gently against the bruise on her neck, snarling deep at the back of his throat.

'He will regret laying a finger on her again' he thought 'I will make him scream for what he has done'

Serena's cries lessened then turned into sniffles, her small fingers holding tightly to his shirt.

"My love look at me" he whispered into her hair. Serena turned her face up to his, tear stains marring her cheeks. His gaze softened.

"My hands will heal. It was the only way to bring my little star back" he tightened his grasp on her waist "that was not you, you do not kill out of personal revenge. You've only ever done it to protect your life and family"

Serena sniffed and gently grabbed his hands. She held them in front of her face and kissed the skin lightly, peppering his hands with her lips.

"I am still sorry" she shook her head "I never meant to hurt you. I didn't even want to hurt him really but I just got so angry. I don't know what that was"

Sesshomaru brushed her hair away from her face, enjoying the feel of her silky strands between his fingers.

"You had every right to be angry, little star. Our daughter could have been killed, you could have been killed and that piece of filth is helping him" Sesshomaru reasoned trying not to let his anger take over "you reacted in the way any mother would. Kagome probably would have just killed him outright, no questions asked."

Serena sighed, he was right. Her actions hadn't killed him but she had thought about it and enjoyed it a little too. Serena leaned into his embrace and kissed the side of his neck. The feel of her light kisses had his anger fading the more she grazed her lips across his skin.

"Forgive me?" she asked him

Sesshomaru scoffed "you need not ask for forgiveness. I am fine am I clear?"

Serena nodded against his neck, she leaned back taking a few deep breaths. She rubbed at her face in frustration.

"Ugh! I am always crying it feels like. What kind of Queen am I?"

Sesshomaru brushed his nose along her jaw and pecked her lips.

"One who feels things to her core. One who is empathetic and loving."

Serena was not the type of Queen who used torture as a means of obtaining information. Her mother hadn't done it. She didn't want to be the type of ruler who used fear to obtain loyalty. The type of Queen she wanted to be was one that was fair, kind and just. Not one who hastily rushed into decisions or hurt others for her gain. Although she felt like she still had a ways to go if she wanted to be half the Queen her mother had been.

"We need to know what he knows my little star," Sesshomaru said bringing her attention back to him "through any means necessary"

Sesshomaru didn't want to frighten her with this side of him. His father grew up in a time when yokai were feared and ruled with an iron fist. Although he and his brother had not grown up in a time of brutality, they were not ignorant of its advantages. The things he would do to Ozias came naturally to yokai. Sesshomaru would use anything at his disposal to find out what he knew and defend his family, no matter how much the man begged for him to stop.

Serena paused for a moment, he was right that she knew. She just couldn't bring herself to do that, it wasn't in her nature. She would need her King for this. With a nod, she stood and held out her small hand to him.

"You must do what you must but I cannot stand and watch" she began as Sesshomaru rose to his feet, she gazed up at him "this is something for my King to take charge of"

Bringing her hand up to his lips, he kissed it lightly. She never tried to change him, merely accepting him for who he was. And loving him no matter what.

"And he will not fail you my beloved star"

Sesshomaru stormed into his father's office rolling up his sleeves. His jacket and tie had already been discarded. Inuyasha and Koga stood up from their chairs, at this moment he commanded the room. This was about his mate and family. He was acting like an Alpha, the role he was born to be in. They had Ozias bound and gagged to a chair. Sesshomaru stalked up, wound back and slammed his fist into his face. Blood sprayed from his nose. It was clear he shattered it. Ozias was thrown back and landed with a thud, Koga grabbed him by the hair yanking him back into position.

Toga stood silent and unmoving in the corner of his office. His face unreadable. Under any other circumstance, Toga would have taken the lead. He was technically pack Alpha. However, there were times when the Alpha would set aside for his Beta to take charge such as when their mate was being threatened. Toga had temporarily handed over duty to Sesshomaru. Toga did find it slightly difficult considering it was his daughter.

"Now I'm going to ask you some questions," Sesshomaru said firmly cracking his fingers "and you are going to give this one all the answers clear?"

Ozias struggled against the binds.

"I don't think he understands brother" growled Inuyasha "the message needs to sink in"

Koga smirked. Sesshomaru held his claws over Ozias arm letting his poison drip from the tips and eat away at his skin. The green poison caused his skin to bubble and eat away to the bone. His screams muffled by the cloth gagging him.

"Now that he has the message" Sesshomaru nodded at Koga. He pulled out the gag and smacked him upside the head.

"Better start talking fucker" he growled

Sesshomaru stood tall, his shadow looming over Ozias his eyes narrowed in rage.

"Where is Sion?"

Ozias remained silent, disgust written all over his face. Sesshomaru cocked an eyebrow and smirked, a fang poking out.

"No answer huh? That's fine, you will tell this one" his voice emotionless and cold. He dripped more poison down his arm, on his shoulder and through a kneecap. By the time he was through Ozias was shaking with fear of the daiyokai. Inuyasha dragged a claw down the side of his face, his sharp claw drawing blood.

"Tine to have some answers" snarled Inuyasha.

Sesshomaru crossed his arms. The smell of burning flesh filled the room. To anyone else, it would have caused them to gag and maybe even vomit, but to yokai it was nothing.

"Where is Sion?" he repeated

"You won't find him" Ozias stuttered "he doesn't stay here…Earth"

"What is his next move?"

"He is coming for that little Princess whore! She will break like the weak bitch she is and my master will take her. Make her his Queen and bear his children" he sneered at them, blood dripping from his mouth "though it may be a step up since you all probably pass her around…"

In the blink of an eye, Sesshomaru launched at him plunging his fist through his chest and grasped his heart with his claws.

"You will never speak of my Queen again" he snarled "she is stronger than all of you combined. She is everything"

Sesshomaru ripped Ozias' heart right from his chest and dropped it on the floor. He straightened up and growled, speaking ill of his little star in any way would usually require a slow and painful death. But his blind rage took over and delivered swift justice. His beast purred in contentment, he had wanted to kill that man since his mate had been stabbed.

'We will protect your mate no matter who stands in our way' his beast roared

"He wasn't going to tell us anything" Toga started sauntering over to his eldest "he was too loyal to that monster"

Koga tossed a towel at Sesshomaru so he could clean his hands of the blood

"It matters not now" Sesshomaru replied "he isn't even on Earth so it doesn't matter until he makes a move"

"Where is Serena?" Koga asked him

"She is in Kagome's office under heavy guard" he answered staring down at the body "she gave me lead to get information however we had to"

Inuyasha scratched behind his fluffy ear

"So what do we want to do about this?" he nodded towards the body "though good riddance if you ask me"

Toga pulled his phone out "I've got a very old friend that would provide clean up when necessary" he shrugged "haven't had to use him in decades but he will take care of it"

Koga nodded "I'll have the floor locked off by security, claim a water leak"

Kagome and Serena sat patiently holding each other's hands firmly. Ayame cleared out the floor and went home to help protect the kids. Serena had been concerned this was a diversion tactic. She was grateful that Ayame was there to keep their children safe while they weren't there. A few messages and pictures had come in while they waited. It helped to keep them calm. They waited patiently for hours, Kagome putting up a reiki barrier to block out any noise.

"What do you think is happening?" asked Serena looking nervous

Kagome patted her hand "they are yokai and doing what comes naturally"

Serena nodded chewing on her bottom lip

"Kagome…"

Kagome turned to look at her sister

"Yea?"

Serena paused

"Something happened earlier when Ozias tried to take me, I gave in to the anger. It was like it was me but also not me, I don't know what happened" she splayed a hand on her chest "if it was the silver crystal, am I darkening it? Am I no longer the light?"

Kagome's gaze softened. Her poor sister, to be haunted in such a way and fear something that is apart of you was something Kagome understood. For a long time, she was afraid of the Shikon no Tama and the power she possessed. Kagome took her hand and placed it over Serena's, her body surrounded in a pink glow causing her hair to lift away from her. Her handheld over her chest for a few moments then withdrew it. Kagome sighed and smiled.

"I sense no darkness in you. Only pure light" she reassured her. Kagome could see within an individual's soul and sense their truest intentions. Whether that person held darkness within their soul or heart. Serena had none, she was nothing but pure white light.

Serena stifled a sob and clutched Kagome's hand

"Really?" she asked feeling relieved

"Would I lie to you?"

Serena giggled lightly "no you wouldn't. Thank you Kags, you are the best sister"

Kagome laughed "I know I am"

A ping from her phone alerted her to a text from Inuyasha.

"They are outside" bringing down the barrier. Serena jumped to her feet and threw open the door. She ran directly into Sesshomaru's arms. Sesshomaru pulled her body flush to his, burying his face into her hair. He closed his eyes and breathed deeply. Her scent filling his senses. Inuyasha took Kagome in his arms, doing the same. The mere smell of their mates scent calmed them.

"It is done" Sesshomaru muttered against her hair, he felt Serena relax in his arms. One of the things he loved about her was that even though she knew what he had had to do in there, she still looked at him like he was the only thing that mattered. She kissed him like he was the centre of her universe. There was no hint of judgement in her face or her eyes.

"He didn't give us much though" Inuyasha scoffed

"This guy isn't even staying on earth"

Serena looked up at Sesshomaru, her brows furrowed in confusion. If he wasn't here then where he was going? How was he able to come back so easily? A thousand questions ran through her mind at about a million miles a minute.

"What? How? Pluto died…" she trailed off a panicked feeling clutching her heart "she would have come for me if she didn't"

Sesshomaru could hear her heart pounding in her chest. He could see the panic in her eyes. She was concerned that the time guardian Pluto was still alive and being used for nefarious deeds. However, Sesshomaru didn't believe that. From everything he had been told about the guardian of time, she was a cunning warrior who could manipulate and control time itself. The use of those powers at any time came with severe consequences. Pluto did not seem like the type to allow someone as dark as Sion to use her for his evil desires. Her loyalty was to the royal family and no one else, she would have sacrificed herself before letting that power fall into his hands.

"We do not know little star, how he is doing it but we will find out" he nuzzled the side of her face "I do not believe he is using her. She was loyal to the crown, loyal to you"

Serena snuggled deeper into his embrace. Her small hands grasping at his shirt, she leaned up and kissed Sesshomaru. He cradled the back of her hand, letting his other hand rest on the small of her back. Their lips moved in sync with one another.

"Alright knock it off you two" scolded Inuyasha

Sesshomaru smirked against her lips, his tongue licking her bottom lip.

"Let's go home my little star" he muttered

"Yes my King" she replied softly "thank you for protecting me"

Sesshomaru hugged her close to his chest. He was ready to be back home with his intended and their daughter.

"I will always protect you. You are the light in the darkness" he whispered in her ear. He felt her smile, her fingers trailing over the skin exposed at the top of his shirt. This silver-haired demon always knew what to say to make her weak in the knees.

"Take me home" she whispered.
