Story Start!
Meeting with her parents could be stressful.
Meeting with her parents while her SISTER was in the room could be far more stressful, even more so when she was fully aware of the news that she had for them. She was Sona Sitri, heir to the Sitri family, one of the remaining 72 Pillar families and the only child of the family who still qualitied to take over the title of Head.
"So-tan!"
"Serafall, please calm yourself." Lord Sitri spoke as he raised his hand to silence his eldest daughter. He could see that Sona was here on serious business, otherwise she would have just written to them, or called them by phone. There were very few things that Sona would visit them in person to tell them. "... you seem tired, would you like to go to your bed and rest before speaking with us?" Lord Sitri asked her.
He did notice that she looked like she hadn't slept.
"It's okay, I just didn't sleep last night, I was having fun with several engaging games of chess. I lost track of time." Sona explained her tired appearance. She was going to wait until tonight to take a nap anyway, since she was already taking a day off of school to be here. This was news that was of far more importance than her school life and holding up a school image after all.
"Moooo." Serafall, her oppai loli-type sister looked similar to herself, only with a more childish face, MASSIVE breasts, and blue eyes instead of purple.
Sona straightened her spine.
"I've come to announce that I wish to uphold my end of the agreement with you. When you arranged for me to be married, I denied you and defeated my fiance in chess. I made the agreement with you that I would only ever marry a man smarter than myself." Sona placed her hand over her heart as a show of sincerity.
Everyone in the room was put at alert.
"NO! I refuse to allow it!" Serafall marched out of the room without waiting even another second to hear another detail.
'She went to go beat up this man, without hearing any details.' Lady Sitri was quiet, but she noticed that Serafall left fot he human world without even bothering to figure out who she was going to be targetting.
Such was the Serafall way of life.
Lord Sitri placed his hands together in front of his face, clasping them in thought as he looked at Sona to gauge her reaction to her own news.
Sona's face was resolute.
"This person... what makes you assume that he is smarter than you are? Defeating you a single time in chess after trying a full night is not proof that he is more intelligent." Lord Sitri was not going to make his daughter marry a guy who only defeated her a single time in chess. The man was required to be smarter than Sona was, that was the reason he agreed to her deal.
He cared less about keeping the bloodline pure, and more about bringing GOOD blood into the bloodline to allow for them to remain one of the top families. Intelligence was partially genetic, so Sona wanting to bring somebody smarter than herself into the family meant that Sona was looking for a man of good breeding. That was an objectivally good thing for the family, and could only benefit the family in the future as their children gained attributes of both parents.
1 chess game was not proof of that though.
"He defeated me 822 times in chess, out of 822 matches." Sona corrected his assumption.
...
There was a stunned silence.
"You didn't win a single time?" Lady Sitri spoke up as she broke the stunned silence, the room was so silent otherwise that you could feel a freezing tension in the air. Lord Sitri had nearly slipped out of his seat when he tried to stance up. "... that isn't proof he is more intelligent than... you do have more proof I take it?" Lady Sitri took over the speaking seeing as her husband was just in a state of shock.
This boy could be a chess master, but that didn't mean he was more intelligent than Sona.
"Using magic, I learned that he had never played chess before meeting me, but he mastered the game after just reading 2 books on it. His brain works to a different standard than those like ours. He learns 1000 times faster than the normal person, he stands head above shoulders over regular humans in athletics, and he is heir to the Namikaze Corporation." Sona explained what she had learned of Naruto from just a SIMPLE background check.
Lord Sitri came back out of his stunned shock, and his wife bowed her head to him, showing that she was willing to let him take over.
"Namikaze Corp... what do they do?" Lord Sitri questioned.
He had a LOT of questions actually.
"They take over other businesses, they are a global corportation that deals in nearly everything. They have a net worth in the trillions. They don't compete with their competition, instead, they buy off their rivals and further cement themselves. We have bought from them several times." Sona knew of several of the cars that her father collected that were produced by them. He didn't care to notice who he actually bought the cars from, just that his collection was growing. "... So, in accordance with my deal with you, I will marry this boy." Sona stated as she bowed to her parents.
She didn't mind following the deal, since it was a deal that she herself had proposed to them, that she would only marry a man smarter than herself.
"We can't do that."
"What do you mean?" Sona asked her father with both her eyebrows raised.
"He's human, we can't arrange a marraige with him. The Sitri name has no standing among humans, so to his family there is no benefit to arranging a marraige between the families." Lord Sitri raised a point that couldn't be ignored.
This boy was not beholden to their laws, and he was not bound by agreements that he had no knowledge of. As impressive as the boy was, Sona was going to need to get him to fall in love with her on her own, of she was going to need to explain the situation to him and get him to agree with her.
"You can't arrange... I see, but you approve of him as my chosen candidate then?" Sona asked for clarification on that note.
He nodded.
"You may marry him, but as it stands, we can't force him to marry you without speaking with his parents. If you can arrange that... you have news?" Lord Sitri saw Sona's face shift.
...
"His parents both died, during his background check I figured out that they died on the day of his birth. Uzumaki Naruto, currently lives with his legal caretaker Umino Iruka, who is the current CEO of the company." Sona raised her hand and summoned her familiar. The creature activated it's magic, and showed an image of Naruto.
Naruto was at his home.
"This is the boy... he seems no older than 15." Lord Sitri watched Naruto. "He seems like a rebel child, and he does not appear Japanese." Lord Sitri gave critique to Naruto on his appearance.
Naruto had 10 different books in different languages in front of him.
"... I see... So... Sitri... that strange feeling that I felt when she asked me questions, was it some kind of magic to read my mind... or see if I was telling the truth?"
"What?!" Sona was shocked, and she sharply turned to face the image of Naruto was being projected in front of them. He had felt his magic when she used it against him, and he had started to do research into the feeling.
Her father's opinion of him changed instantly.
"I see, he is very perceptive, to figure out that you're a Sitri just from your use of magic. If he had no knowledge of the supernatural, he is at least aware that devils exist now." Lord Sitri could see this boy was perceptive of magic to some degree, and had noticed that Sona used magic on him. "His brain learns 1000 times faster... how exactly does he manage that?" Lord Sitri asked his daughter.
That statement was now raising more questions.
"I am not completely sure how to explain it, but he has 1000 different personalities with different thought patterns in his head is how I believe he explained it. They are scattered, but when focused they enhance his brain power to 1000 times greater." Sona had been given Naruto's explanation, but she had her own theory that she would give to her parents that made more sense to her.
"So, devils exist, then angels and fallen angels must exist... but if magic exists... that means that maybe..."
"Oh?" Lady Sitri asked as she got all of their attention back to the screen.
Naruto was looking at the palm of his hand, and his eyes were narrowing. They could all see his eyes tracing every single aspect of his hand, and he looked across his bedroom towards a glass of water that was on the table. He placed a finger against his mouth in thought, and they all waited with baited breath.
He seemed 100% focused.
"Humans learn magic different than us, while we use our demonic power, imagination, and the power to create... but they use their control over equations to produce results. Usually they learn magic from supernatural species... a human with no knowledge of magic before now, learning magic just by learning it exists... lets see what his potential is for ourselves." Lord Sitri looked at his daughter.
Her face changed from shocked to neutral, putting on a face to not allow her emotions to show as she watched the screen in front of them.
"I see... yes... I agree with that... but how do I produce the result?"
"Oh ho! I see, he seems to be talking to himself, this is that 1000 thoughts at work as you spoke. It seems that 1 of those thoughts figured out magic to some degree!" Lord Sitri was getting an idea of how this boy worked now.
1000 times faster was an understatement, he MASTERED things 1000 times faster, but the speed that he could learn things at was much higher in actual time. If just 1 of his random personalities figured out how something could work, then the others would all figure it out and they would work together.
"... He JUST learned magic exists." Lady Sitri was stunned.
Naruto stood up and walked across the room, before he placed his finger inside of the glass of water. He swirled his finger around and looked at the result, with the Sitri family watching with baited breath. He raised his other hand up, and swirling water appeared above his hand as if by magic.
No, it was by magic.
"He just learned magic exists minutes ago, but he can already use Water Magic." Lord Sitri looked at his daughter for her reaction.
Her eyes had a rare sparkle to them.
Naruto drank the glass of water and used the water that he had created to refill it, before he looked towards his window with a grin. He rushed towards it and jumped out of the window of his mouth.
They were all confused, before Naruto placed his hands downwards and slowed the speed of his fall by producing Wind magic.
"I see! That is how it works, if I do THIS then I produce Wind Magic, but if I do THAT I produce Water Magic... then to produce Fire Magic..."
"Incredible." Sona whispered as she saw Naruto snap his fingers, and form a small, basebal sized fireball in front of him. She could see that Naruto's eyes were 100% focused on learning magic. Just to use basic magic took days of studying and lectures at magical institutes for humans, or for a devil to teach a human magic in cases like this.
By himself, with no teacher at all, he was figuring out magic just by brain storming with himself.
Naruto touched his hands to the ground and got into a running positon.
In a burst of wind underneath his foot, he jumped a clear 100 feet into the air and jumped over a building. He landed smoothly on the ground, and used wind to give himself a burst in speed as he ran down the street.
"Not just LEARN magic, but he's already applying what he figured out to enhance his abilities. He's using Wind to increase his jumping ability and speed... he stopped?" Lord Sitri, all of them, watched as Naruto stopped using magic.
He seemed confused.
He looked around, as if he were sensing something strange.
"... This feeling, like magic... but... somebody is watching me with magic... it feels like I have eyes on me, and magic is being used on me..."
That alarmed all of them.
He knew they were watching him, not only that, but he had gained a perception of magic that allowed him to tell when magic was being used against him, and he combined it with his instincts to figure out what kind of magic was being used. His startling growth as a magician froze the people in the room as they watched Naruto mumble to himself.
Suddenly, they were watching Naruto on grew black.
Naruto used magic to stop them from watching him.
"... Incredible... just amazing. Water, Wind, Fire, AND he has figured out how to sense magic and stop magic from viewing him. He managed all of this, just because you used magic on him to see if he was telling the truth about not playing chess." Lord Sitri got up and walked right towards the screen that had displayed Naruto moments before.
Sona was just as stunned.
'... I underestimated him... just the very act of using magic on him...' Sona had used magic on Naruto while he had been 100% focused on chess, so it was possible that just 1 of his 1000 minds noticed her magic to some degree. When he had been learning about her heritage, the 1 mind that noticed her magic put two and two together, and figured out magic was possible.
Then, all 1000 minds started to figure out how magic could work, and the very act of 1 of those minds figuring out magic, allowed Naruto to figure out how to use magic like a magician.
Now, all 1000 of Naruto's minds were focused on mastering magic.
"Get this boy into your Peerage and Marry him, do that before anyone else learns of his potential." Lord Sitri was now truly understanding the quality of the human boy that Sona wished to marry.
They could not let his mind go to waste!
