(A/N) So I found plot. So Danzo gets his own chapter. I don't agree with most of Danzo's views on things, but I must write this cause reasons. I dislike it, and will probably suffer through writing this, but it has to be done for plot reasons. I don't empathise with Danzo and never will, but it must be done. I don't wanna blindside you with the plot. But he isn't sulking. Not at all. Nope. Definitely not. It's a very dignified plotting. Not sulking.

Danzo was fuming, Mito was uprooting what had been Konoha for decades, changing the very foundations. Not only having the Uchiha police force be only Uchiha, but taking away the genius exception and enforcing the age 12 to graduate rule.

Not only that, but she'd had the gall to scold him like he was some kid!

Danzo calmed his emotions, calling for two ROOT agents. He gave them their orders, and they were off. He'd have to wait for the reply of course, and with no paperwork of his own to get finished, he had time to stew. But mostly plot.

Mito and possibly Kushina would just have to go. Underground, of course, and with no trail to him. With them out of the way, he would be given the Hokage seat, and he would lead Konoha into a new era of strength and prosperity.

He was best for Konoha, he knew what Tobirama-sensei had wanted, not some upstart woman who'd only ever listened to Hashirama, who'd been an optimistic idealist. He had no sense of reality. And it had been his downfall. He trusted an Uchiha, and it killed him.

Tobirama had been more intelligent, giving the Uchiha a department to keep them happy and away from the rest of the village and its administration.

Despite what Mito said, he did not remember having any other clans involved in the police force. They never had, and they wouldn't again after he was through killing Mito and reclaiming the village from her hands.

His ROOT would be folded into the ANBU, and he would crackdown on the academy and its method of teaching children. It was severely subpar and would require changing. The ROOT children he had would be the standard everyone would strive to reach. The unstable jounin would be cracked down on and carefully monitored and oh so carefully broken then rebuilt properly.

The newest generation could probably be salvaged, the one with young Itachi, the Uchiha heir in it, but he would have to see.

A courier brought him a few packets of paperwork, so Danzo started looking through them. A new academy syllabus. Some changes he could approve, like beginning genjutsu training for those with talent in the area, or medical training for the same, the insistence on learning water and tree walking in the academy, and the insistence on mastering the three academy jutsu, as well as an option available for those with too little chakra control and too much chakra to ever manage a simple clone. Illusionary clones were mostly useless anyway.

The improved kunoichi classes including proper infiltration tactics were good as well, although would likely not be as in-depth on the kinds of missions kunoichi were best for as he would prefer. The learning about chakra natures and having each kid learn their own was also acceptable. He could understand the fuuinjutsu unit, which he didn't doubt would single out prospective kids to go into a fuuinjutsu specialty with Kushina and Mito as their teachers. Perhaps he would let just one kid go through it so that knowledge wouldn't be lost.

He would select a ROOT child then, one with an aptitude for fuuinjutsu, and place them into the system. They would learn, and they would know, therefore Danzo would know. Uzushio had been great in its time, and he wanted its knowledge.

He signed off on the changes and sent the courier away again. He would entertain Mito's silly ideas. But only as long as they were reversible as soon as he killed her and became Hokage. He would not tolerate her removing what made Konoha Konoha.

"Sir?" a ROOT agent asked. They must be back with his answer.

"Yes? Danzo asked cooly, staring down the agent.

"They accepted."

Danzo simply nodded, but made a mental note to break out the good sake for a drink tonight. There was cause to celebrate.

(A/N) Short, I know, but I figured you may not mind as this is an entirely Danzo chapter. Also I really don't want to write more of him then I have to. I hope I got across why Danzo hates Mito? If not, here's a synopsis. Basically, he hates her because he remembers Tobirama very differently then she does, and since they are both firm in upholding the standards they think Tobirama would have preferred should he be alive, they thoroughly dislike each other. Danzo viewed Tobirama as firm, hating Uchiha with a passion, and uncaring for emotion. Mito viewed Tobirama as her brother, as someone who wanted nothing more then for every clan to be united in the village, as someone who wanted to protect the children. The two views clash somewhat harshly, which has led to this.

Congrats to those who read all that. I have a poll up, so hurry before it closes next Tuesday. Who do you think Danzo is contacting to attempt to kill Mito? *smirks*
