A/N: A bit more of a lighthearted chapter here...because I feel like the last two have kind of been information overload. But the real action begins soon enough...which is going to be one hell of a time for Loki and the Avengers. You're welcome!

17. Still Are The Thoughts Running Through Your Mind
It had been three days, and Loki hadn't told Tasha about the ice reserve.
Which sucked, because he knew she'd kick his ass when she found out he hadn't told her.
He hadn't told anyone, actually, which was probably for the best since none of the others knew he was a werewolf, and to explain the ice reserve he'd have to explain the werewolf thing.
Why was his life so complicated?
Loki was looking for her now, intending to tell her. He found her rather easily: she was in the training room.
The training room was something Tony had implemented. When it became clear that the Avengers weren't going their separate ways for long, he'd converted an entire floor of the Tower to a giant training room. The walls and equipment were reinforced so as not to be destroyed by Hulk, though apparently the punching bags weren't very durable, considering Steve plowed through them at a truly remarkable rate. Loki himself had never been inside, but Tasha had described it enough that he knew the basic layout: a line of targets along one side of the room, riddled with burn marks, arrow punctures, and bullet holes; an entire section of the wall blackened from Thor's lightning and Tony's repulsors; the punching bags across from the targets; an obstacle course in the very center of the room; and hand-to-hand sparring areas making up the rest of the floor. There were staffs along the wall too, for other forms of close combat, and a few fake knives that had been added mostly for Loki.
He stepped out of the elevator to find Tasha busy attacking a dummy, breathing hard but kicking the dummy's ass.
Loki watched her for a moment with a smile. She was good, he had to admit. Then again, he supposed, she had been trained in the Red Room, so there was a reason.
She noticed him with the follow-through of her next strike, taking the dummy's head clean off.
"Nice move, Убийца," Loki said.
Tasha grinned at him. "Care to join me, Обманщик? I could use a sparring partner."
Loki grinned back, a feral grin more suited to Frost than to him, and stepped lightly into the ring, changing his clothes magically so they were more suited to training (a green tank top and black trousers) than the dark jeans and blue semiformal shirt he'd been wearing. The eihwaz and Jotun necklace remained around his throat.
Tasha tossed him a second staff. Loki conjured a CD player, and Tasha pulled out the CD from Coulson and put it in. They faced each other as the music began to play.
"This is the place that no one sees...
I don't like to show
(I can't help it!)
This is the darkness over me...
It's just the world I know
(I can't stand it!)"
Tasha attacked first. Loki blocked her, his grin still in place. They went back and forth for a few minutes, staffs locking and pulling apart as they sparred. Loki was kind of surprised he was keeping up; as he'd remembered earlier, Tasha was a trained assassin, whereas Loki had never been very good in combat. He was proficient with his daggers and knew hand-to-hand fairly well, but he still preferred to fight with magic, choking enemies from the shadows or trapping them in nightmarish illusions. This training session would definitely help.
"Reaching for the light...
Reaching from inside...
Help me tonight!
I'm closer to the edge
Tonight!
I'm standing on the ledge
So why
Won't you reach out your hand
To save, to save me?!
Tonight!
I'm damaged if you dare
Tonight!
It feels like no one cares
So why
Can't I come up for air?
Just save, just save me!
What are you waiting for?
Someone save me!"
"You know, Убийца, I've been meaning to tell you," Loki said, spinning out of the way of another attack. "I had an interesting dream the other night."
"Oh no," Tasha joked, and it was her turn to spin away from his attack. "You've been dreaming again, Обманщик?"
"Sadly, yes," Loki sighed regretfully, "but the other night's was more interesting than anything."
"Peel back the skin exposed to you...
Take pleasure in the pain
(Please, don't stop it!)
Tell me what I'm supposed to do...
It ain't easy to open up this way
(I can't help it!)"
They went back and forth in silence again for a few minutes, Loki matching her blow for blow. Then Tasha prompted, "Alright, so what was this dream? Don't keep me waiting, Обманщик!"
Loki stepped away and flipped his hair out of his face, then cast a simple spell to mute their speech to the outside world (just in case), engaged her again, and said, "Well, I was taken to a world between worlds, where I got to talk to the wolf that lives in me."
"Really?" Tasha asked. "What'd you find out?"
"Reaching for the light...
Reaching from inside...
Help me tonight!
I'm closer to the edge
Tonight!
I'm standing on the ledge
So why
Won't you reach out your hand
To save, to save me!?
Tonight!
I'm damaged if you dare
Tonight!
It feels like no one cares
So why
Can't I come up for air?
Just save, just save me!
What are you waiting for?
Someone save me!"
Their staffs were tossed aside and the sparring session became hand-to-hand, making conversation both easier and harder at once.
"Apparently I'm not even normal by Jotunwolf standards," Loki said.
Tasha tilted her head and effortlessly blocked a punch. "Which means...?"
"I have this...ice reserve, Lupa called it," Loki attempted to explain, aiming a kick at her side, which she caught and used against him, bringing him down. He sprang right back up and continued, "Basically when I was first bitten, just before the wound closed some of the ice of Jotunheim managed to find its way into my bloodstrem, forming a sort of magic ice barrier. That reserve of ice power has been suppressed my entire life. Lupa thought it was unlocked the first time Thor and I kissed."
Tasha attempted to bring him down again, but Loki was more prepared this time and actually managed to turn the tables on her, bringing her down to the ground for once. She got back up immediately too, but did look rather impressed that he'd been able to take her down at all. Loki himself was surprised too.
"Who's Lupa?" Tasha asked.
"Roman wolf goddess," Loki shrugged. "She appeared to explain about the ice reserve."
"Reaching for the light...
Reaching from inside...
Help me tonight
I'm closer to the edge
Tonight
I'm standin' on the ledge
So why
Won't you reach out your hand
To save, to save me?
Tonight!
I'm damaged if you dare
Tonight!
It feels like no one cares
So why
Can't I come up for air?
Just save, just save me!
Tonight!
I'm closer to the edge
Tonight!
I'm standin' on the ledge
So why
Won't you reach out your hand
To save, to save me?!
What are you waiting for?
Someone save me!"
After a few more minutes of fast back-and-forth sparring, Tasha managed to knock Loki down again, and this time made him stay there quite effectively by literally sitting on him.
"Okay, okay, you win!" Loki conceded when it became clear Tasha had no intention of letting him breathe until he said it.
She grinned and got off, offering him her hand, which he took as he pulled himself to his feet.
"So you're even more powerful than we all thought," Tasha said.
"Yeah, basically," Loki replied.
"Do you have any idea how to use it?" Tasha asked.
Loki shook his head. "Not really, but Lupa said it would just kind of come naturally. We'll have to explore that later."
A noise attracted their attention, and Loki looked over to find Thor standing just inside the room, near the elevator, looking a little embarrassed at being caught. Loki smiled, though, and dropped the spell as he beckoned Thor into the room.
"Hey, you," Loki said.
Tasha laughed and said, "Aaand that's my cue to leave you two alone. See you later, boys." She reclaimed her CD and walked away.
"You look amazing," Thor said, seemingly before he could stop himself.
Loki smiled and ran a hand teasingly down his arm. "You call having just gotten my ass kicked amazing?" he teased. "I'm flattered."
Thor blushed, whether from Loki's flirting or Loki's touch he wasn't sure. Possibly both.
"You weren't that bad," Thor said.
"Mm...and Tasha is a professionally trained assassin, so that wasn't entirely fair, was it?" Loki pointed out.
Thor laughed. "Indeed."
"Now, I'm not objecting, but what are you doing here?" Loki asked.
"I was looking for you," Thor said. "I feel like I haven't seen you much the last few days."
Loki realized he had indeed kind of been cutting himself off from the rest of the Tower as he tried to process the information about the ice reserve and immediately felt guilty, then cursed himself for feeling guilty.
"Sorry," he apologized, and he meant it. "I've had a lot on my mind, is all."
Thor reached up to brush Loki's hair out of his face. Loki was a bit surprised by the gentleness of the gesture, of his touch, as if Loki were made of glass and Thor was afraid he'd shatter if he was too rough. Loki wasn't entirely sure that analogy was far off.
"I wish you'd talk to me, Loki," Thor sighed. "You hide yourself behind your walls and refuse to let anyone see who you really are. You've gotten better at letting people in since coming here, but ever since Mother's death you've begun to lock yourself away again."
Loki's eyes flitted down, away from Thor's face. He was right, of course. Loki had never been any good at the feelings thing - he supposed that was a side effect of growing up the way he had.
"I'm not good at this," Loki said, letting his guard down for once. "You know that."
"I know," Thor murmured. "That doesn't stop me from hoping."
Loki smiled ruefully. "Maybe one day." His smile turned mischievous as he added, "But for the moment...we are alone..." He ran his hand down Thor's side, causing Thor to glare halfheartedly at him.
"You are criminally seductive, Loki," Thor muttered, shaking his head.
"Thank you," Loki replied.
"Oh, come here," Thor said, and pulled Loki into a kiss.
Seeing as this was what Loki had been intending all along, he didn't protest. Instead, he wrapped his arms around the Thunderer and pulled him closer. Thor tangled a hand in his hair, something Loki loved the feeling of intensely. It was Loki that all but forced his tongue into play, taking the kiss deep and managing to elicit a small gasp from Thor.
The only reason they separated was because Tasha's voice came over the PA system.
"I'm sure I'm interrupting something, but Loki, you need to get to the den. Now."
"Why?" Loki asked in the general direction of the ceiling, rather annoyed at having to cut his kiss short.
"It's her."
Shit, Loki thought. He took Thor's hand and pulled him in the direction of the elevator.
"What's going on?" asked Thor. "Who's 'her'?"
"You'll find out," Loki said grimly. "Come on. I need to defuse this before she hurts someone."
A tense elevator ride later and the two Asgardians entered the den, which was essentially the lounge, only with less windows and more suited to movie nights or quiet work (Loki had come down here more than once to read, and he'd caught Steve drawing down here a few times as well). Now, though, the usual peace that fell over the place had been shattered, and Loki could see exactly why.
Valkyrie stood in the middle of the room, midway between the snack bar (which Tony had put in mostly for the popcorn required of movie nights) and the general lounge area, which took up most of the room. The other Avengers were lined up with their backs to the snack bar. Tony appeared to be attempting to stare Valkyrie down.
Loki, who had used his magic to change back into his normal clothes in the elevator, caught Tasha's eye. She was standing a little apart from the others looking a bit helpless, which was not a look Loki was used to seeing on her.
Valkyrie noticed them first. "Oi! What's the big deal here?"
Tony looked over. "Who is this and what is she doing in our Tower?"
Loki approached; Valkyrie whipped out a knife. "You're not coming any closer until someone explains what's going on."
Rolling his eyes, Loki drew his own knives. A few quick blows later had her in a headlock, one of his knives pressed to her throat. "Play along," he hissed in her ear. "Pretend we've never met."
She threw him off and they traded a few blows again. She was quick, Loki had to give her that.
He leveled a knife at her. "Who are you?"
"If you don't know by now, Lackey, I'm not telling you," Valkyrie taunted.
Loki caught her wrist. "It's Loki," he corrected. She went for him again; he blocked and threw one of her knives to the side.
They ended up in much the same position they'd started in, but this time Loki noticed the tattoo.
"You're a Valkyrie," he said, with mock realization.
She threw him off again and managed to throw him against the nearest wall and press him there.
"I thought the Valkyrie had all died gruesome deaths," Loki said, half-taunting.
"Choose your next words carefully," Valkyrie hissed with real underlying pain in her voice.
"Okay, okay, you win," Loki said. "We're not going to hurt you."
Valkyrie glanced pointedly at the dagger he still held in his hand. "You call that not wanting to hurt me?"
Loki obligingly put away his knives. "To be fair, you attacked first," he pointed out. Valkyrie snorted and stepped back so he could rise to his feet.
"How did you get into the Tower?" asked Tony.
Valkyrie looked a little unsure. Tasha spoke up.
"I brought her," Tasha said. Everyone, including Loki, looked at her in surprise. "A few nights ago. Werewolf, remember?"
Loki became quite acutely aware of the fact that he still hadn't told anyone that he was a wolf too. Valkyrie seemed to sense this.
"I'm a werewolf too," she said. "I tracked Romanoff and one of her wolf friends down a few nights ago. She brought me back here. I've hid out in the room she deposited me in for the past three days."
Thank you, Loki thought, knowing she couldn't hear but grateful for the protection of his secret anyway.
The Avengers relaxed a bit. Thor shot him a quizzical look and Loki mentally face-palmed; Thor had been with him when Tasha had told him about Valkyrie. That could turn out to be problematic...
"Alright, well, we need something to diffuse the tension," Tony declared abruptly. "I declare a Ping Pong war!"
Loki and Thor glanced at each other. The others had varying degrees of excitement on their faces.
"What's Ping Pong?" Thor asked.
Tony gasped in mock offense. "Point Break, you wound me. How do you not know what Ping Pong is?"
"He's Asgardian," Tasha reminded Tony. "They both are."
Tony nodded. "Well, to the basement! We're just going to have to educate you now."
"I didn't even know we had a basement," Thor whispered to Loki as they followed Tony to the elevator.
Loki shook his head. "I didn't either."
The moment Loki's eyes fell on the Ping Pong table, he knew what it was.
"Oh! It's table tennis!" Loki exclaimed.
The others laughed. "Well, yeah, that's the British term for it," Tasha teased. "I take it you've heard of 'table tennis' before?"
Loki nodded. "Part of my extensive studies of humankind." At the looks on the Avengers' faces, Loki grinned. "Kidding," he said. "Mostly."
Tasha rolled her eyes and proceeded to call him an idiot in Russian.
They all arranged themselves around the room. With a wave of his hand, Loki teleported snacks from the lounge down to where they were. Tony volunteered to go first, and laid out the rules: whoever beat their opponent got to stay at the table. The loser had to let the next player take their place.
"Who dares to be my first opponent?" Tony joked.
Barton stood up. "Why the hell not?"
Tony handed him a paddle, and the game began.
Someone - possibly Tasha - put on music. It began to pump through the room as Tony and Barton batted the Ping Pong ball back and forth.
"(Oh...!)
Mm-mm-mm-mm mm-mm-mm
Mm-mm-mm-mm...
(Oh...!)
Mm-mm-mm-mm mm-mm-mm
Mm-mm-mm-mm...
(Oh...!)
Good evening, my people
Up in the chandeliers...!
(Oh...!)
The wining and dining
The menu is blood, sweat, and tears...!
(Oh...!)"
After a few furious back-and-forth moves, Tony won. Barton scowled halfheartedly and handed the paddle off to Banner.
Tony grinned. "You ready, Banner?"
Banner gave him a look. "You're going down, Tony."
"Everybody ready
Raining down confetti
Champions are born right now...
Ain't about the glamour
Click goes the hammer
Run when you hear that sound..."
Banner served first, but Tony was fast. Banner was apparently fast too, because he matched Tony serve for serve.
Loki joined the others in cheering them on. Loki, Thor, and Valkyrie all cheered more for Banner, Loki mostly just to frustrate Tony. Banner seemed to appreciate the vote of confidence from the Asgardians.
"Heroes...!
Never die!
Gonna make it to the finish line
We know...!
We survive!
Even if we crawl to the finish line
I will believe it!
Underdog dreaming!
Don't need no cheers-
World's gonna see it!
Heroes...!
Never die!
Gonna make it to the finish line
(Oh...!)
Mm-mm-mm-mm mm-mm-mm
Mm-mm-mm-mm...
(Oh...!)
Mm-mm-mm-mm mm-mm-mm
Mm-mm-mm-mm...
(Oh...!)"
Tony beat Banner eventually. Thor clapped him on the shoulder when he came back.
Steve took his place, and now everyone started taking sides. Barton ended up cheering for Cap, while Tasha cheered on Tony; Banner took Tony's side, Thor Steve's; Coulson took Steve's side as well, leaving Valkyrie to cheer on Tony and Loki cheering on both. He wasn't the God of Mischief and Chaos for no reason, after all.
They matched each other serve for serve, but eventually Steve won. Tony sighed, defeated, but allowed Steve to give him a quick kiss before retreating to where Steve had been sitting.
"Their dreams just keep dripping
Out of their golden cups...!
(Oh...!)
I'm starting, I'm starving
Leftovers ain't enough...!
(Oh...!)
Ain't about the royals
They do nothing for you
All you got is you right now...
Who is gonna falter?
Who is gonna conquer?
Better never count me out..."
It was Loki's turn. Thor squeezed his hand as the Trickster stood up with a grin and approached the Ping Pong table.
Tony handed him the paddle.
"You ready for this, Liesmith?" Steve challenged with a good-natured grin.
Loki's answering grin was more mischievous than good-natured. "Oh, you're on, Captain."
"Heroes...!
Never die!
Gonna make it to the finish line
We know...!
We survive!
Even if we crawl to the finish line
I will believe it!
Underdog dreaming!
Don't need no cheers-
World's gonna see it!
Heroes...!
Never die!
Gonna make it to the finish line
(Oh...!)
Mm-mm-mm-mm mm-mm-mm
Mm-mm-mm-mm...
(Oh...!)
Mm-mm-mm-mm mm-mm-mm
Mm-mm-mm-mm..."
Steve was good, Loki had to give him that. But Loki was better, and it wasn't long before Loki gained the upper hand and won.
"Come on! He totally used magic!" complained Barton. Coulson covered his mouth with his hand.
Thor was up next. This would be interesting.
Loki smiled rather flirtatiously at him. "You're not going to win," he said.
"We'll see," Thor replied, but he was blushing already. Loki would barely even have to play - he could just flirt until Thor gave up.
"Gonna make, gonna make
Gonna make it to the finish line
Every day, every day
Gonna make it to the finish line
Gonna make, gonna make
Gonna make it to the finish line
Every day, every day
Gonna make it to the finish line-"
Loki won, as predicted. Beat the crap out of Thor, actually, though to be fair it was Thor's first time playing.
"Who's next?" Loki asked, his grin still in place.
Tasha stood up. "Care to try me?"
"Let's dance," Loki replied.
"Heroes...!
Never die!
Gonna make it to the finish line
We know...!
We survive!
Even if we crawl to the finish line
I will believe it!
Underdog dreaming!
Don't need no cheers-
World's gonna see it!
Heroes...!
Never die!
Gonna make it to the finish line
(Oh...!)
Mm-mm-mm-mm mm-mm-mm
Mm-mm-mm-mm...
(Oh...!)
Mm-mm-mm-mm mm-mm-mm
Mm-mm-mm-mm..."
After a hard Ping Pong battle, Tasha won. This is the price I pay for getting cocky, Loki thought, even as he handed his paddle off to Coulson.
Tasha wiped the floor with him, unsurprisingly, and Coulson looked quite proud.
And then it was Valkyrie's turn.
"(Oh...!)
Mm-mm-mm-mm mm-mm-mm
Mm-mm-mm-mm...
(Oh...!)
Mm-mm-mm-mm mm-mm-mm
Mm-mm-mm-mm..."
It was amusing indeed to see Tasha and Valkyrie battling over the Ping Pong table. Both women were furiously fast and intensely determined, not too good of a mix for the enemy in a real battle.
For a while, it seemed like Tasha was going to win...and then Valkyrie gave a wicked serve that ended the game in her favor and actually managed to make Tasha shriek. The music ended as Valkyrie held up her paddle in triumph.
There was laughing and applause, and despite the furvor of the moment Loki found himself realizing that he hadn't smiled or laughed this much in centuries. Thor seemed to notice that he was having this revelation, because he once more intertwined his hand with Loki's.
Loki's smile was brighter than all the gold in Asgard's palace as he and Thor joined in the giant group hug Valkyrie was now caught in the center of.
Loki had sent Thor on ahead to his room with promises to continue what they'd started earlier before Tasha's interruption, but he hung back to talk to Tony.
The self-proclaimed genius-billionaire-playboy-philanthropist was busy directing his robots (Dum-E specifically) around cleaning up the game room. Loki approached as Tony snarled at Dum-E.
"No - no, Dum-E! I said under the table, not the table itself!" Tony growled. "Do I have to put the dunce cap on you again?"
Dum-E shied away in what appeared to be shame, made a whirring noise that Loki assumed was its way of talking, and went back to cleaning.
"That's what I thought," Tony said. He turned away and muttered, "Stupid robot" under his breath with a fond smile nonetheless.
Then he noticed Loki.
"You're still here, Reindeer Games?" Tony asked. "I thought you'd be off making out with Thor by now."
"Yes," Loki said with a small laugh. "I'm still here. I wanted to talk to you."
Tony held up a hand. "If you're about to confess your undying love for me," he said seriously, though there was a playful glint in his dark eyes, "don't. We both have boyfriends - because Thor is your boyfriend, right? - and I'd hate to disappoint them."
Loki laughed. "That's not what I needed to say," he chuckled. "Though I suppose Thor and Steve could just get together if they missed us that much."
Tony laughed too. "All nonsense aside, what exactly did you want to talk to me about?"
Loki's smile died. "It is more of a confession, really," he sighed. "One I'm still not entirely sure I want to go through with."
Tony looked a bit concerned. "What is it, Reindeer Games?"
Loki took a deep breath. Moment of truth.
"Tony," Loki admitted, "I'm a werewolf."
Tony blinked. "What?"
"I am a werewolf," Loki repeated, enunciating each syllable clearly and carefully. He had to admit that he was terrified of Tony's reaction; it was that ingrained fear in him from so many centuries living in fear of Odin's wrath should the Allfather find out.
Tony seemed to mull it over for a minute, then said, "You know, that actually kind of makes sense."
Loki's turn to blink and ask, "What?"
"The way you act around the full moon," Tony explained. "You seem on edge and more fidgety than usual, not to mention hyper-aware of everything. You're jumpy and restless, and tend to snap at people more than usual. Also, you consistently look tired, as if you don't get much sleep at night."
"I'm surprised you noticed these things," Loki said, and he meant it - he was genuinely surprised.
Tony shrugged. "I people-watch."
"I thought that was more Steve's thing."
"I've been spending too much time with him. We're starting to rub off on each other."
"That's not a bad thing, Изобретатель," Loki said.
Tony cocked hs head. "What did you just call me?"
"Изобретатель," Loki repeated. "It means 'inventor'."
Tony shrugged again. "That makes sense, I guess."
They fell silent. Then Tony inquired, "Do you have Russian nicknames for everyone else, too?"
Loki was a little startled. "No." He smiled. "You could help me come up with some, though."
Tony brightened. "Like...Captain for Steve?"
"'Капитан?'" Loki said the word in Russian. "Sure."
Tony thought for a moment. "Archer, for Clint?"
"Лучник."
"Agent, for Coulson?"
"Агент...no, sounds too much like the English."
"So...maybe...'Leader'?"
"Лидер...nope, still too close to English."
"'Catalyst'? Since he was the reason we came together in the first place?"
"Катализатор. Yeah, that works."
"For Bruce...'Beast'? I know it's a little mean, but if you never tell him what it means..."
"Зверь. Yeah, he'll have no idea."
"You already call Tasha something."
"Убийца. 'Assassin.'"
"And Thor is...?"
A small smile appeared on Loki's face. "Громовержец. 'Thunderer.'"
"I think that's everyone, right?" Tony said.
"Valkyrie?"
"Oh! Right. Um...'Warrior'?"
"Воин," Loki tested it out. "That works."
"It sounds like 'voin' in Russian," Tony observed.
Loki shrugged. "That's just how it's pronounced."
They fell silent again.
"You know it's not a bad thing, right?" Tony said abruptly.
"What?" Loki asked again.
"Being a werewolf," Tony clarified. "It's not a bad thing. Not something to be ashamed of."
Loki sighed and closed his brilliant green eyes. "My past says otherwise."
"So move on," Tony said, and his tone was so forceful that Loki opened his eyes again. "Let go of your past and move forward. Yeah, you've made mistakes - we all have - and I don't even want to know what your home life on Asgard was like, but you have to put it all behind you. You've got friends now, and Thor's so completely in love that he'd do anything for you. You can start over, Reindeer Games. You just need to realize that."
Loki's silver tongue wasn't working for once. He was at a loss for words.
"I'll keep quiet about it," Tony said as he headed for the elevator, "but remember what I said."
Loki was left standing there, contemplating his words, as the Man of Iron walked away.
"What took you so long?"
Loki smiled. "I was talking to Tony."
Thor tilted his head. "About what?"
Loki shook his head in reply. "Nothing you need to concern yourself with." He siezed Thor by the shirt and murmured, "I believe we have some unfinished business to attend to," before kissing him. Thor's hands instantly went to Loki's waist to steady the Trickster. Loki liked the feeling.
They pulled apart, Loki's eyes shining. "Satisfied?" Thor murmured with a smile.
Loki raised an eyebrow. "Satisfaction's not in my nature."
Thor shook his head and laughed. "Now how did I know you were going to say that?"
Loki held a finger to his lips. "Shut up."
Thor smiled. "As you wish."
Loki kissed him again. He could forget that he was a werewolf, could forget the world that existed around them, for one night. As long as he was in Thor's arms, Loki would be happy.
Which, he reflected, was quite the accomplishment.
So...not a huge cliffhanger, but not the greatest ending either...oh well. The songs used were "Save Me" and "Finish Line," both by Skillet. Things start to get a little more interesting in the next chapter, though the real action doesn't start for a while yet. Hold on...this is going to get dangerous. As always, please review!
