LOKI
Loki pulled himself up onto the couch and groaned. Stark was strong, he'd give him that. He was tempted to use his magic -which was slowly regaining its strength- to heal himself, but the had to conserve every bit to make Peter his bubble again. He had only just met the mortal a mere couple of hours ago and he would already risk his own life for him. Judging by the fact that Stark beat him senseless the moment he thought he was harming him, he had that effect on more than just him. He felt the strength returning to him as his magic started to come back. He gestured to Stark to bring Peter out as soon as he felt he was strong enough to make the bubble again. Peter was pale and still had the pillows over his face. Loki summoned every drop of energy he had into making the bubble again. Swirling green mist started to form, and then covered Peter in a dome. It flickered once, twice, and then solidified. Loki could tell when it worked; Peter's shoulders relaxed and his thoughts became less fuzzy.
'Better?'
He asked. Peter laughed from inside the bubble.
'I'm getting deja vu.'
Tony looked confused, and Loki remembered that he couldn't hear Peter.
"He's good. The bubble is working. Your welcome."
Loki said. Tony rolled his eyes.
"Don't get a big head, reindeer games. I don't regret punching your lights out."
Tony said smoothly.
"Well that's not fair. I need an apology. I'm the one keeping your 'intern' from passing out from the sound of your voice."
Loki smirked. Tony set his jaw.
"What do you mean 'intern'?"
Tony asked skeptically. Loki smiled.
"Oh yeah, I forgot to mention. Your 'intern' told me about him being half eight legged insect."
Tony paled and shot a glare at Peter. Poor Peter couldn't hear a thing and had no idea why Tony was angry at him. Loki explained in mind-speak.
'He's just slightly annoyed that you told me about the spiderman thing you've got going on.'
Peter laughed in realisation.
"Tell him that you were going to find out at some point anyway."
Peter chuckled. Loki told him and he glared even more.
Loki noticed Peter looking at something on the floor, obscured by the mist.
What are you looking at?'
Loki wondered. Peter looked up.
"Oh. I think Thor dropped his hammer cause it's inside the bubble. Here I'll give it to hi-"
'Nonono it's okay Peter. You won't be able to lift Mjolnir. Only Thor can lift it.'
Peter raised an eyebrow.
"How heavy is it? Surely there's someone out there stronger than Thor?"
Loki laughed. This mortal was so innocent and clueless.
'It's not really that..'
Loki trailed off as he saw Peter bending down. then, after a second, he came back up beaming, Mjolnir slung over his shoulder. Loki's jaw dropped. He looked back at Thor, dumbfounded.
"He- he's lifting.. M-Mjolnir. Only I- can lift.."
'Boy, you do realise that whoever can lift Mjolnir is worthy of ruling Asgard and has the power to challenge the throne.'
Loki said once he regained his voice. Peters eyes widened and he gingerly placed Mjolnir on the floor as if it were an active grenade.
"I'm so sorry Mr. Loki and Mr. Thor I'm not trying to steal your kingdom I promise!"
Peter looked as though he might cry. Loki laughed weakly and repeated his statement to Thor.
'Peter, only the few people who are worthy can lift Mjolnir. We always knew that there could have been someone else worthy, but we never thought..'
Loki trailed off. He turned and saw Thor, who looked relieved that he wasn't going to have to battle against the teen for his throne any time soon. When Loki looked over at Tony for the first time since Peter had been put in the bubble, he was beaming radiantly.
"I knew it. I knew it! My kid is more worthy than all the avengers combined!"
He muttered proudly. Loki raised his eyebrows.
"Your kid?"
He chuckled. Tony's head snapped up.
"I didn't say that."
Tony protested. Loki smiled crookedly.
'Guess what, child.'
He mind-spoke to Peter. He looked up anxiously.
'What? Is everyone mad at me?"
Peter worried. Loki assured him that no one was mad, quite the opposite in fact.
'Stark called you his kid.'
Loki told him, biting back a grin. Peters eyes widened impossibly far and he stared at Stark as if he had just grown an extra head.
Loki laughed out loud.
"Why's he looking at me like that?? What did I d- Loki!!
The billionaire yelled in realisation. He took a deep breath to clam himself and gave Peter a thumbs-up. Peter beamed. All of a sudden a strange disembodied voice with a British accent spoke from some unseen speaker.
"Little Red requesting entry sir. Shall I tell Happy to let her in?"
Loki started, but Thor and Tony both knew the voice well. So did Peter, and pretty much anyone who spent time in the tower.
"Yes please Jarvis, tell her I'm on floor 106 and not to kill anyone when she sees a kid in a swirling green bubble."
