Samuel Hayden: I don't know what you're talking about, as there hasn't been a Star Wars film since Revenge of The Sith. Not counting Clone Wars. What we have now is badly written fan fiction by people who clearly never even saw the original trilogy.

Guest: It would have been easy to have Clark there, but that's just it, it would have been easy. There is no challenge in Oliver, Percy and Annabeth going after the lion if Clark is there because Clark can easily take care of it. This quest is supposed to be dangerous and it isn't if Clark is there.

Kansas

Late morning

Once they'd gotten over the shock that they were in Kansas of all places, the trio had driven around for a bit, trying to figure out their next move. They'd passed a local diner and, realizing how hungry they were, had stopped there. As they waited in their booth for their food, the three of them were discussing strategy.

"What do you know about the lion?" Annabeth asked Oliver, wanting to know what he knew.

"It was one of the monsters Hercules had to fight," Oliver said and Annabeth waited for him to continue but realized that was all he knew.

"It's one of the most dangerous monsters there is. Mortal weapons are useless against it and even our weapons might not be any help. Its fur might protect it from us, it's magical," Annabeth said and Oliver frowned.

"Percy, The Monitor said you had killed it before," Oliver remembered as he looked over at the son of Poseidon. "How'd you do it?"

"Dumb luck. I was on a quest with our friend Thalia, daughter of Zeus. We were with two of Artemis' Hunters and their arrows bounced right off its fur and Thalia and I couldn't get close to it. I picked up two packages of astronaut food and threw them in its mouth. It gagged and Zoe, one of The Hunters, was able to get an arrow in its mouth," Percy and it was silent for a moment. "Somehow, I don't think that's gonna work a second time."

"Seaweed Brain," Annabeth sighed at her boyfriend's sarcasm.

"Does it have any other weaknesses?" Oliver inquired, ignoring Percy's final comment.

"It's eyes. Its fur doesn't protect its eyes," Annabeth said after a moment.

Oliver frowned, deep in thought. At the moment, the best strategy appeared to be to try and shoot an arrow into its eye. But that would mean they had to find it first. Speaking of which-

"If this lion is somewhere in Kansas, why haven't these people seen it?" Oliver asked confused as he looked at some of the other patrons.

"Didn't Chiron tell you about The Mist?" Percy asked surprised and only got a blank look in return.

"Chiron and I have only had a handful of conversations, none of them included this 'Mist'. What is it?" Oliver asked confused.

"Hecate, the Titan Goddess of magic, is able to influence the minds of mortals when they see something like a Hellhound, make them think they're seeing a regular dog or something, by putting out a wave of magic. This is called The Mist," Annabeth explained and Oliver frowned, looking thoughtful.

"So, they might have seen it, they'd just think it was what, a mountain lion?" Oliver asked.

"Whatever would seem less crazy to the mortals," Percy shrugged.

Further conversation was interrupted as their food arrived. As the waitress put his burger and fries in front of him, Oliver noticed how her gaze lingered on him.

"Was there something else?" Oliver asked politely.

"Yeah, I'm a huge fan. I was wondering if I could get a picture," the waitress said excitedly pulling out her phone.

It took a moment for Oliver to process what she was saying. This…was new. Once his identity had been exposed, people were more likely to punch him rather than ask for a photo.

"Um, sure, I guess," Oliver muttered as he stood up.

"Thank you so much," the waitress said excitedly, handing her phone to Percy. "Could you take a picture of us?"

"Uh, sure," Percy said dumbly as Annabeth looked torn between annoyance and amusement.

Several tables away, a red haired woman watched the scene with a thoughtful look on her face, a blond haired man sitting next to her.

"You know Artie, you could just go up and talk to him," the man said and she sighed.

"I told you not to call me Artie," Artemis muttered as she watched Oliver awkwardly take a picture with the waitress. "It is not time yet Apollo. When the time is right, I will appear to him. Until then…he must walk this path without me."

Once they took the photo, Oliver sat back down before a thought occurred to him.

"Hey, can I ask you a question?" Oliver asked the waitress randomly.

"Anything," she said, clearly star struck.

"I heard someone talking earlier, something about a mountain lion or a bear in the area," Oliver said as Percy and Annabeth caught on.

"Yeah, there's some sort of wild animal in the woods a few towns over. A few people have tried to make a reward for anyone who manages to kill it but animal rights' activists keep causing trouble there. It's the most excitement we've had in Kansas in years," she shrugged. "Although most people just leave it alone."

"Can you tell us where exactly these woods are?" Annabeth asked.

After getting directions to the woods where the animal was, the three of them finished their meal and Oliver quickly paid for it before the three of them left the diner.

"So we're all in agreement, that wild animal is probably the lion?" Percy said as they walked out into the parking lot.

"Seems likely," Oliver agreed. "I doubt it's a coincidence that The Monitor put us so close to this town," Oliver mused.

It was then that Oliver noticed a group of three men trying to break into their car. I guess criminals are the same everywhere, Oliver mused as they made their way over to the car.

"Can we help you?" Oliver asked, alerting the three men to their presence.

"Well well well, look what we have here. The Green Arrow," one of them, obviously the leader, sneered as he walked up to Oliver.

"We don't want any problems," Oliver said calmly.

"Well that's too bad," he sneered, pulling out a gun and jamming it in Oliver's face. "Because I do."

Before the man could blink, Oliver had grabbed his arm and thrown him to the ground, disarming him in the process. Olivet then fired two shots, getting the other two men in the shoulders. They went down, clutching their wounds as Oliver slugged the leader, knocking him out.

"Let's go," Oliver told Percy and Annabeth.

The two didn't need to be told twice, following Oliver to their car.

"You should put pressure on those," Oliver told the two men he had shot before getting in the driver's side.

Inside the diner, the staff and customers watched as Oliver drove away. Apollo looked thoughtful as he looked back and forth between his sister and the retreating car.

"He doesn't hesitate, but he doesn't look for a fight either. He's definitely your kid Artie," Apollo said.

"I know. That is what concerns me," Artemis said, a hint of fear in her silver eyes.

Oliver had driven along the road, the car completely silent for a few minutes after they had let the diner. Then Percy spoke up.

"That happen to you a lot?" Percy asked.

"Everywhere I go," Oliver said grimly.

"Suddenly, I'm a lot more grateful to The Mist," Percy said with a glance over at Annabeth.

Oliver's lips twitched but he suddenly frowned as he saw something up ahead. There was someone standing in the road half a mile away. Oliver couldn't make out any features, just her black clothes and her hair…her long, snow white hair.

"Shit!" Oliver swore as he realized who it was.

China White threw two knives and Oliver had to swerve to ensure they wouldn't be hit. He heard Percy and Annabeth cry out in surprise and he heard the knives hit the side of the car. The car, thankfully, skidded to a stop on the side of the road, but Oliver knew they were far from out of danger.

"What in the name of Athena is going on?" Annabeth demanded.

"China White. She's an old enemy," Oliver said grimly, picking his bow off the passenger seat. "I'll handle this."

"I disagree," Percy said as he looked at the knives sticking out of the car door. "She's using Celestial Bronze."

"What?" Oliver asked as Annabeth pulled out a bronze knife.

"Celestial Bronze, the metal of the gods. Most demigod weapons are made out of it," Annabeth said as with a pointed look at her knife.

"So what, she's a demigod?" Oliver said blankly.

"She's something," Percy said, pulling out a pen, of all things. "But if she can use Celestial Bronze, it means we might be able to hit her with our weapons."

"Music to my ears," Oliver said as he strapped on his quiver.

The trio emerged from the car and Percy clicked his pen. Suddenly, he was holding a three foot long bronze sword, to Oliver's surprise.

"I see you've acquired new friends," White said as she approached, whirling two bronze knives. "I must say, these two are an upgrade. Son of Poseidon, daughter of Athena."

"And who are you supposed to be?" Percy asked and she smirked.

"Daughter of Ares," she declared proudly and Percy scoffed.

"I've met your dad and let me tell you, you're a real chip off the old block," Percy said and she smirked.

"Thank you."

"Wasn't a compliment!" Percy shot back.

"What do you want?" Oliver demanded and she smirked.

"I have orders to kill you. Both of you," White said as she looked from Oliver to Percy. "Both of you have important roles to play in the coming Crisis. Someone wants you taken off the board."

"Who?" Annabeth demanded, tightening her grip on her knife as White laughed.

"You wouldn't believe me if I told you princess," White said, twirling her knives.

"If you think you can beat all three of us alone, you must be really stupid," Percy said and Oliver's blood ran cold.

"She's not stupid enough to come alone," Oliver muttered.

"Very perceptive Oliver. I didn't come alone," White said smugly.

Out of the cornfields, several Asian men appeared, wielding guns that were aimed at Oliver, Percy and Annabeth. The Chinese Triad.

Oliver swore. If it was just him, he could handle them all and deal with China White. But Percy and Annabeth might get caught in the crossfire. Oliver was trying to figure out a way out of this when one presented itself.

There was a blur of wind and suddenly, a powerful gust seemed to knock several of the gunmen off their feet. White looked confused and bewildered as the gust surrounded Oliver, Percy and Annabeth before they vanished in the blink of an eye. White was left staring at the spot where the trio had vanished, wondering what had just happened.

Several miles and one town over, Oliver, Percy and Annabeth stared at their savior, Annabeth and Percy in shock with a little owe on Percy's end, and Oliver in relief.

"Why is it that every time I show up, I'm saving you?" Barry, dressed in his Flash suit, asked tiredly.

"Barry," Oliver said relieved, his dream from a few night ago coming back to him.

"Thank you Oliver for outing my secret identity to two civilians, no offense," Barry said sarcastically, directing that last part to Percy and Annabeth.

"None taken," Annabeth said, recovering from the shock of seeing a superhero. "What's the Flash doing here in Kansas?"

"Felicity sent you after me, didn't she?" Oliver said, remembering his dream from last night and Barry nodded. "But how'd you find us?"

"I had Cisco checking Twitter and Facebook for anything related to you. About fifteen minutes ago, Tina Greer posted a selfie with you on her Twitter account. Didn't take us long to track you here," Barry explained and Oliver nodded in understanding. "What is going on Oliver, Felicity said you left with The Monitor?"

"That's all she said?" Oliver asked and Barry nodded. "We better get somewhere safe; it's a long story Barry."

So, Artemis and Apollo have entered the story now. Artemis would be played by Sarah Drew and Apollo by Jake Abel. And yes, I am aware of the irony that Jake played Luke in those Percy Jackson horrible movie adaptations.

And the first obstacle of the quest has presented itself in the form of China White (who is a daughter of Ares). If things were easy, it wouldn't be any fun.

And now Barry has fully entered the story. Barry won't be part of the quest for long, as I have separate plans for Barry here. But for now, it's going to fun to have Barry around.
