A NOTE FROM LILY EVANS, THE AUTHOR OF THIS PIECE:
Do you want to know something?
I am SICK and TIRED of every single human specimen in the entire Hogwarts student body asking me the same damn questions.
"How did you start dating James Potter? Didn't you two hate each other? What changed?" I swear to God, I can't walk through a single corridor without some probing, love-obsessed third year INTERROGATING me over it.
So, I have made the executive decision to write and publish my personal account of the entire romantic saga. This is the FINAL time I will be addressing this subject. Take it or leave it!
Sorry. Perhaps I am being a bit overdramatic. But really, don't you guys have LIVES? Why are you all so OBSESSED WITH US?
Anyway. I will be recounting this story through a series of "firsts". I've never forgotten a "first" in my life, especially the ones related to James Potter.
These are the "firsts" that I will be addressing throughout this series:
The first conversation
The first time he asked me out
The first "I hate you"
The first "I like you"
The first date
The first kiss
The first "I love you"
These, to me, were the most PIVOTAL moments in the creation of our beautiful, albeit unexpected, relationship. And now, you, the reader, will be forced to endure all of them, narrated by the lovely me, of course. Haha!
Alright. LET'S SETTLE THIS ONCE AND FOR ALL, LADIES AND GENTS!
A note from the actual author of this piece:
Every time I get an email saying that someone's left a review on one of my stories, I literally die of shock.
Just kidding. I don't actually die of shock. That would be so scary. But still, it always FLOORS me, and reviews are spectacular, so please keep leaving them. I love feeling validated.
I have never written something longer than a oneshot before, so I'm not sure how this is going to go, and I'm a little scared. I have this entire story written out already, but I'll probably be releasing chapters in two-day intervals (because I hate when fanfic authors keep people waiting for months on end. I mean, seriously, what's the point of that?)
I feel like I am rambling at this point. I guess I will just let you get to the story, now.
