Chapter 1: Prologue/Which One Is The Real Santa Claus

(We zoom down on a snow-covered Birdwell Island, which then cuts down to a street with the poles decked out with wreathes until we see Ms. Lee, the librarian walking out of her library, which is a large ship, as Mr. Carson, the mailman walks by and they greet each other)

Ms. Lee: Merry Christmas, Mr. Carson!

Mr. Carson: (Waves back) Merry Christmas, Ms. Lee. (Then a stomping noise is heard and he looks up) Oh, here comes Clifford! (The big red dog then walks by wearing a long green scarf around his neck with his friends, Cleo, who's wearing a red-and-green striped sweater and purple ear muffs matching her bow, with T-bone and Mac each wearing purple sweaters as they're all sitting on top of Clifford's head, he then waves to them as they pass by) Merry Christmas! (The dogs bark back in response)

Cleo: Wow, another Christmas already, huh, T?

T-bone: Yeah. I just love this time of year.

Clifford: Me, too. Who wouldn't love Christmas?

Mac: Well, there's Scrooge, the Grinch, just to name a few.

T-bone: Look, there's Santa Claus! (They all bark at a man dressed as Santa Claus ringing a bell outside a store)

Santa: Ho, ho, ho! Merry Christmas! (Waves at them along with other Santas down the street)

T-bone: Why, there's Santas everywhere!

Mac: You do know neither one of them could be the real St. Nick, right, T-bone?

T-bone: I don't know, Mac. He's here, he's there, he's everywhere. (Begins to sing as several Santas march in a straight line, with 1 group in the foreground while the others are going in the opposite direction on the other side of Clifford) Why, only this morning, I found

Dozens of Santas around

One in each door

Outside every store (Cuts to the Santas ringing their bells down the street)

And more on each corner in town (T-bone curiously walks up to 1 Santa, then another and another, looks back and forth and scratches his head)

In front of each Santa, I pause

Then go to the next one because...

I got so confused

Which one should I choose?

I wanted the real Santa Claus

I don't know which one it is (The dogs continue down until they see a Santa balloon on top of a house, a mechanical Santa waving to some children from a toy store's window before peaking into a department store's window with another Santa with 1 child on his lap with a line of children waiting their turn)

Male Chorus: There's a Santa on the roof of the house next door

Female Chorus: There's a Santa in the window of the new toy store

Cleo: There's another one at Birdwell's on the second floor!

Chorus: Which one is the real Santa Claus? (They then see a skinny Santa, another with a pillow under his red coat both ringing bells, then another one walking along with a sign around his red suit, then zooms in see cords holding his beard)

Male Chorus: There's a Santa with a tummy but it looks too flat

Female Chorus: And another with a pillow only he's too fat

Mac: There's a Santa with his whiskers that are tied on to his hat

Chorus: Which one is the real Santa Claus?

Clifford: Which one? (He sees a Santa walk up who's almost as tall as him)

Chorus: This one

Clifford: He's the tallest Santa Claus I ever saw! (Cleo comes up to a Santa and pulls on his beard)

Cleo: Just feel

Chorus: He's real (Cuts to Mac as he pulls up a Santa's coat revealing a pile of straw)

Mac: Here's another with a belly that is stuffed with straw!

Chorus: I have seen so many Santas either short or tall

And about that many more I can't describe them all

T-bone: But just to play it safe, I'm gonna choose them all

Chorus: 'Cause one is the real Santa Claus (They continue down the street seeing several Santas ringing bells and walking together until they run into a very fat Santa ringing his bell)

Mac: Here's one!

Chorus: He's fun!

Mac: He's the fattest Santa that I've seen around!

T-bone: How sad

Chorus: Too bad (They smile as they see a Santa with his legs on the outside of the house's chimney)

T-bone: Santa's stuck inside the chimney and he's upside down

Chorus: I have seen so many Santas either short or tall

And about that many more I can't describe them all

But just to play it safe, I'm gonna choose them all

Clifford, Cleo, T-bone, and Mac: (Together) 'Cause one is the real Santa Claus

Chorus: Yes, one has got to be the really real to me Santa Claus (Song ends)

T-bone: Ha-ha! See what I mean, Mac?

Mac: I sure do, T-bone.

A/N: This story is set in between my first "Clifford" fanfic. I'll try working on adding more to it and be sure to expect a reference towards it in the next chapter. Anyway, the song, "Which One Is The Real Santa Claus," comes from both of the Hanna-Barbera Christmas specials, "A Christmas Story," and "A Flintstone Christmas," and all rights go to both of them.
