CHAPTER 26 - Hard Days

Rested in a deep sleep, Kankuro snored away. He had stayed up all night texting Kankuro. It would of been so easy if his boyfriend was allowed to sleep with him, but because of off-campus rules, he couldn't. It really sucked for both of them that dorm students were only allowed to be off-campus after school hours, the weekends, and breaks.

That being said, Kankuro slept away, not even knowing his alarm went off. That was until Temari knocked on his door, who on the other side of the door was fully ready along with Gaara, and yelled at Kankuro to get up before he made all of them late, including Shikamaru and Kiba who was waiting downstairs. Kankuro slowly opened his eyes, before jumping out of bed as he realized that he was extremely late.

In one huge swift, he gathered up some clothes from the floor, his shoes, and rushed past his siblings, and into the bathroom.

"We'll be downstairs, Kankuro! And hurry up!" Temari shouted, heading downstairs with her younger brother.

Temari opened the backseat door, entering as she greeted her boyfriend with a small pinch on the cheek and greeted Kiba as well. She reached over as Kiba handed her a drink of iced coffee, and turned even farther to give one to Gaara, who was secretly surprised by the generosity, but nevertheless took it as he was expecting it.

"Didn't know what Gaara liked, so I just put some cream and sugar. Hope that's okay?" Shikamaru asked, smiling at her brother quickly.

Gaara nodded, sipping the straw. "Yes, thank you."

"Uhh.." Shikamaru glanced down, searching for the box. He then turned once more to them, serving a box of goodies. "Biscuits?"

The two siblings kindly helped themselves, eating the bread. "Goodness, you guys really all went out this morning," Temari commented.

Shikamaru blushed, turning to face the wheel. "Yeah, well don't mention it. If anything it was Kiba's idea, and considering this is probably going to be a routine from now on until we graduate, we may just consider this a celebratory breakfast carpool."

"Haha!" Kiba playfully punched Shikamaru on the shoulder as she took a bite of a biscuit. "What he said."

After what seemed like a few minutes, the group talked for a bit and ate their breakfast snacks until they turned and saw Kankuro completely out of it. His hair was clearly not combed, his hoodie wasn't all the way down, his belt was unbuckled, and one of his shoes weren't tied. Kiba immediately rushed out the car, swinging Kankuro's bag over his shoulders and bent down to tie his boyfriend's shoes.

"Damn babe," Kiba gritted as he was quickly trying to tie Kankuro's shoes. "What took you so long?"

"Me?!" Kankuro exclaimed. "Not my fault you texted me all night, but whatever, for what's worth..."

Kiba smiled, tightening the loop as he straightened his legs and gave his boyfriend a quick kiss on the lips. Still having Kankuro's backpack on him, he rushed back to the car, and Kankuro followed. "Come on, we're going to be late."

As the group approached the school, they walked in their separate ways as they went to class. Gaara, Kankuro, and Kiba were going to one direction, and Shikamaru and Temari at the other.

Temari took a quick sip of her coffee. "You know," she spoke. "Kiba and my brother really look good, don't you think?"

Shikamaru looked back at the trio, seeing a third wheeling Gaara as Kiba and Kankuro secretly intertwined their fingers. "Yeah, pretty fearless too."

"What do you mean?" Temari questioned him.

"You know, don't get me wrong, they are plenty of good people in this school," Shikamaru spoke, looking straight ahead. "But there are also a bunch of judgment people. So judgment, in fact, that they aren't really fond of people who 'swing' that way."

The blonde nodded, staring at her boyfriend with concerning eyes. She had noticed that there were a bunch of bad seeds in the school. She met someone like Kin on one of the first days she was here, after all. And undoubtedly, she probably had friends who liked her for whatever reasons. Temari bit her lip, looking forward. She hoped that no one dared to make fun of Kankuro and Kiba for being together.

Shikamaru looked at his girlfriend for a quick second, seeing the fret in her eyes. He then stood in front of her, making her face him. Temari hadn't even realized they were in front of her classroom, she was too busy being concerned for Kankuro. She then looked up at him, seeing his eyes connect with hers. He then suddenly smiled, kissing her softly on the forehead.

"Have a good day, okay?" He told her, scratching his nap as he turned his eyes sideways while blushing. Admittedly, Shikamaru was still a bit in the butterfly phase. The way her teal eyes twinkled when she stared at him, even the tone of her voice, and her smile, he loved that smile.

Temari blinked momentarily before smiling, lightly pulling him by the elbow and placing a kiss near the corner of his mouth. "You too, see you at lunch."

As Temari walked into the classroom, she didn't realize that Kin was in the same hallway and saw everything that happened. She curled her hand into a fist, as an angry expression appeared on her face.

"That bitch." She growled.

Kankuro munched on the last of the biscuits, eating them casually in the lunch room. He was waiting for Kiba to get out of class, and for the meantime, he decided to work on some homework.

As he began to write, someone sat on the table across from him. He assumed it was Kiba, until he saw dark, long, hair and a face heavy with make up.

"Hey!" Kin forced a smile, greeting him in a high pitched voice. "I've seen you around and decided we should get to know each other! My name is Kin..." She would approach his hand with seductive fingers.

She blinked her eyes softly, making sure he paid extra attention to her eyelashes. "What's your name, handsome?"

Kankuro raised an eyebrow, lifting one of her fingers with his other hand to get her to stop touching him. "Uhm, it's Kankuro."

"Kankuro?! Wow, what a cute name! My name is Kin." She repeated herself, smiling even wider.

"Yeah, you said that before-"

Kin cut him off. "Anyway, we should get to know each other. I'm having a party this Saturday, and I'd love for you to come! You can bring all your friends, like you know, your sister, her friends, oh whoever."

Kankuro fluttered his eyelids, totally confused on the situation. "Oh? S-Sure-"

"GREAT! I'll see you this Saturday! It starts at 6 PM," she pretended to look down at her watch. "Ope! Look at that time, gotta go. Hope to see you there, Coconuto!"

Before he could even respond, she scurried off to another table at the other side of the lunch room. As he was still in his daze, he didn't even realize Kiba and Gaara walk up to the table. The two boys who had just arrived look at each other, then to Kankuro. Kiba waved a hand in front of his face, seemingly not working to get him out of his bewilderedness.

"She didn't even say my name right..."

"Oh.. shit." Shikamaru groaned into his hand, partially hiding his twisting face.

Temari scrolled through her phone as she worked one of her hands around Shikamaru's member. They were both in the janitor's closet, the same one when he had broke the news to Ten Ten and Sakura of him thinking about getting back together with Tayuya.

Temari bent her wrist, causing Shikamaru to catch his breath as her fingers and palm felt amazing on him. It felt like heaven, but it did kind of upset him that she wasn't so engaged in their little love session. With a little effort, Shikamaru was able to break out of his delight, gaining the ability to question what was taking up so much of her attention.

"T-Temari," he said, leaning over a bit to see what she was looking at. "Huh?"

On her phone, were large bodies of text messages flowing on her phone countlessly. He squinted his eyes to see who the contact was, which the name was 'annoying ass bro.' Perhaps, something happened? Family troubles? He wasn't sure, but he knew that his excitement had reduced as her handwork slowly lessened by the minute.

"Okay," Shikamaru would take her hand, taking it off his penis. Unexpectedly, that sudden action caused her to look up at him.

Temari looked at him worriedly again. "Huh?"

Shikamaru put his member back inside his pants, pulling up the waistband. "You been staring at your phone the whole time we're here, and there are a bunch of text messages that Kankuro- I'm assuming- that seem to be taking up a whole lot of your attention. So? What gives? Must be important, right?"

From her startled face, she resumed to her previous atmosphere. Her shoulders loosened as she stared at Shikamaru's chest in slight shame, but more bothered. She met her eyes with his as she felt her frown begin to deepen.

"Kin invited Kankuro to a party." Temari told him.

Shikamaru's eyes widened. "Really? Well, I mean, Kankuro wouldn't go? Would he?"

"See, that's the thing," she said. "He also told me she mentioned how us and the rest of you guys were invited. I feel like this is suspicious. And Kankuro brought a good point saying what if she keeps trying to throw herself onto us if we don't go to that party? I don't want her to keep bothering us."

The pineapple head smirked. "Jealous?" In which he would earn a slap to the chest from that remark.

"Nah, I get it. It is annoying. If we go, she most likely will just try to come at me and purposely invite a whole lot of people to try to get us lost in the crowd. But then again if we don't..."

His words trailed. What would of happened? He knew in the past, Kin would do anything to get what she wanted, and to make matters worse, she really did not care about what happened to anybody at all. Damn, this was all so troublesome.

Temari's frown stayed on her face, in which Shikamaru noticed and hooked a finger under her chin and kissed her on the lips softly. "Don't worry, we'll figure something out. But we really should go talk to the gang about this, including your brothers."

"Yeah," Temari's frown was still present. "We should."

"Temari." Shikamaru said firmly, placing his hands onto her shoulders. "Even if we all decide to go, nothing is going to happen between me and her, I promise."

Her eyes twinkled at him. "I trust you, it's just.. I don't know what she's capable of, is' all."

"Well, I promise," he took her hand, placing a kiss on it. "We'll stick together."

Temari smiled at him, totally satisfying him as that was what he intended to do; make her smile.

"That's what I was looking for." He smiled at her as well.

The blonde continued to smile at him, and then looked down at his pants. "What? Did you not want me to finish?"

Kankuro laid his head on one of the pillows of the sofa, snuggling against Kiba. "I don't know what to do."

"Kankuro, you got dragged into this and you need to realize all the problems that come out of this isn't all on you." Kiba massaged his hair. "Kin is your sister's and Shikamaru's problem, not yours."

"Hey, she got into a fight with Kin. I'm not going to let my sis get in trouble for that Shikamaru again." Kankuro sat up, leaving Kiba empty as his boyfriend was no longer in her arms.

Kiba sighed. "I mean, you told her, didn't you? I'm sure you two will take the chances to talk about it."

"I guess but-" A knock then noised on the door. Kankuro stood up, opening it to a handful of guys.

"WE'RE BACK, MY MAN!" Deidara shouted.
