Olivia sat down on the sofa after getting Trevor comfortable on it, she handed him a bowl of ice cream and got a movie set up for them. Noah was still asleep in Trevor's bedroom and Olivia was sure that he would be sleeping right through. This gave them both the opportunity to unwind and talk a bit more, Trevor caught Olivia up with what he and Alex had done since he last saw Olivia and she spoke to him about work and Noah.

She felt oddly at ease with him, even when sharing stories about the things she saw at work, she didn't go into great detail but she did open up about some difficult cases and he helped her calm down. He was a voice of reasoning through all of the insanity in her life and she liked it, she liked having someone to speak to, someone that wasn't connected to the precinct. He had this weird way of calming her down, and he never crossed any lines, most guys she knew wanted to know about all the gruesome details in the cases she worked. Where as Trevor just wanted to know if she was coping with the workload, he asked questions here and there but stopped if he sensed any discomfort.

She liked that, she liked that he was so considerate, that he was so caring. She had seen past the tough exterior and now she was seated beside a bubbly and warm version of him. She turned to look at him and smirked.

"You're not as bad as you tried to act at first" she said with a laugh.

Trevor smirked "you're not softening up on me are you?"

She shrugged "maybe I am, is that a bad thing?"

He shook his head "not at all. I've softened up too, as you mentioned."

She moved beside him and let out a sigh "you have, i like it."

He smiled, running his fingers through her hair "so you like me huh?"

"Hey I didn't say all that" she teased before moving to rest her head on his lap "I'm exhausted."

"So why don't you take a nap for a while? I will be here and if Noah wakes up, I'll wake you up." he offered, watching her get comfortable in his lap.

She nodded "okay... But you have to stay awake incase Noah wakes up, or anything happens."

He let out a laugh "Olivia relax, I'm right here."

She let out a yawn "okay... g'night"

He smiled, watching her dose off almost instantly "goodnight Olivia." he whispered.

...

Trevor gently nudged Olivia, she had been asleep for a good two hours, and he hated that he had to wake her but there was someone at the door. He was certain that he heard Noah whimpering from the bedroom, so he was forced to wake her out of her sleeping state. She had looked so peaceful, her head rested on his lap while he watched a movie.

He nudged her once more "Liv, wake up" he whispered.

She stirred, making herself more comfortable, she was still so tired "no, let me sleep."

"I know you're tired but there is someone at the door" he said with a laugh.

Slowly she forced her eyes open and failed to stifle a yawn, she sat up and rubbed her eyes "tell them to go away."

He let out a laugh "I'd love to but I can't exactly move without my chair."

She pursed her lips "I'll help you into the chair, you get the door and I'll get Noah"

"Sounds great" he smiled, watching her get up and stretch, she let out a sigh when she heard another knock on the door and heard Noah whimpering.

"Change of plans, I'll get him, then the door and then get you in the chair, is that okay?" she asked while shrugging off her jersey, she was getting hot and now all she wanted was to go to sleep.

Trevor nodded "okay, no problem"

She rushed into the bedroom and smiled down at Noah "hey sweet boy, did you sleep well?"

He let out a whimper "up"

Olivia reached down and scooped him into her arms, she took hold of his baby blanket and threw it over him "shh, momma is here. Let's go get the door."

Trevor watched her walk back into the living room with a grumpy little boy in her arms, he smirked "you get the door and I'll keep an eye on him?" he offered.

She nodded "thank you" she whispered before moving Noah into his arms and handing him a pacifier "baby I'll be right back."

Noah looked up at Trevor before cuddling into his embrace "Twev"

Trevor chuckled "hey champ, did you sleep well?"

Noah shrugged "yeah" he whispered before yawning, and laying back in Trevors embrace.

Olivia made her way to the door and sighed before unlocking it, whoever was at the door was very persistent. She opened it and let out a gasp when she saw the woman standing outside the threshold. She forced a smile, watching the other woman scowl at her.

"hi." she croaked out.

Stephanie pursed her lips "Hi, is Trevor here?"

She nodded "uh sure, come inside..."

Stephanie followed Olivia into the house she once called her home and scoffed when she saw Trevor on the sofa with a little boy in his arms. Her mind was running wild, he definitely could not be Trevor's child, but the sparkling blue eyes on the little boy made it a possibility.

Trevor looked up and scowled when he saw Stephanie walk into his living room "Stephanie."

Olivia pursed her lips "Noah baby, come with me and I'll fix you a bottle."

Noah shook his head "no, momma I stay"

Trevor let out a laugh "Liv, he is okay, I've got him"

She nodded "okay, do you want anything?"

"Can you fix me a cup of tea please?" he asked, still scowling at his ex.

Olivia nodded "Of course, do you want the chair or are you okay there?"

He shook his head, giving her a warm smile "I'm good."

"Would you like anything to drink?" she asked Stephanie.

Stephanie shook her head, scoffing at Olivia "no thanks. Could you give us a minute to talk?"

"Sure" she scoffed, before making her way to the kitchen.

Trevor looked down at Noah "momma is going to bring you a bottle in a few minutes, is that okay?"

He nodded "uh huh"

Stephanie sat down opposite the pair and scowled "are you just going to keep ignoring me?"

He shrugged "What do you want Stephanie?"

She pursed her lips "I wanna know what you're doing with her? I saw you two in the diner the other day, all over each other and now you're here with a child. Why are you doing this?"

He scoffed "I don't owe you any explanations, incase you forgot, I am not your boyfriend anymore."

"So you two are together now?" she shook her head "are you bringing her to the wedding?"

"I am. If you have a problem with her joining me, then I won't come at all." he bit back.

She let out a sigh, he was so cold and distant "Trevor... Why are you doing this? Do you want to hurt me?"

"What makes you think this is about you? None of this is about you, I am happy with the way my life is. Stephanie, you left me, you cheated on me, and you aborted my baby, you were the one who tore us apart. Did you really expect me to mope around all day, and wait for you to come back." he scoffed "you're a fool if you think I am going to give up my happiness for you again."

Olivia walked back into the living room and handed Trevor his cup of tea before taking Noah and giving him the bottle she had prepared for him. Noah happily accepted the bottle and began suckling happily at the nipple of the bottle, he laid his head on Olivia's shoulder.

She was going to head to the bedroom and lay down with him but Noah had other plans. He started protesting when his mother started walking to the room, and whispered that he wanted to stay with Trevor.

Trevor heard the little boy and let out a laugh "Liv you don't have to go to the room, you two can sit here"

She let out an uncomfortable sigh "are you sure? I don't want to impose."

He patted the spot beside him "you're not. I want you here, both of you."

A smile tugged at her lips "sweet talk will get you everywhere"

He let out a laugh "I'm aware"

Stephanie watched as Olivia settled down beside Trevor, she frowned when Noah moved from her arms into Trevor's all while still holding his mother's hand. She did not like this at all, she hated seeing him with some one else, she was jealous but she would never admit it. It hurt to watch the man she once loved spend time with another woman, it hurt that he was so cold with her.

Olivia looked over at Trevor and nudged him "are you okay?"

He looked over at her and forced a smile "I am, are you?"

"of course" she smiled.

Stephanie let out a heavy breath "do you love him? Do you really love him? Because it's obvious that he loves you, the way he just defended your relationship a few minutes ago."

Olivia looked up at him "you defended our relationship?"

He smirked "I defended my happiness. Stephanie believes that you're here, that you and I are together to hurt her."

Olivia scoffed "What's the point of all of this? You're getting married in a few days, so why do you care so much about what Trevor is doing in his free time?"

A look of anger covered her features "Just because I am getting married, doesn't change that I care for Trevor. I want to make sure that he is happy, and that you're not just using hi-"

"Like you did." Trevor cut her off "You don't need to worry about me, nobody could hurt me the way you did. Olivia is nothing like you, she is not heartless, so don't worry, she won't be leaving when I need her the most, she won't be cheating on me and marrying my ex best friend and she won't be aborting my baby."

"You're being an ass" she sniffed, her eyes welling up with tears.

Olivia sat there with an uncomfortable expression on her face "Look you two need to fix whatever this is. Because it's obvious that here is a lot of hurt, arguing won't help anything."

"What do you know about us?" Stephanie bit back, irritated that Olivia was budding in.

She scoffed "I know more than enough. I know you're not here because you're worried about Trevor, you're here because you can't believe that he moved on. You can't accept that he is living without you, because you figured that you could just move on with your life and forget about him, but you can't because he is an amazing man and you know that walking out on him was a mistake." she sighed "you're marrying Adam in a few days and but you still want to control Trevor, because he was yours once and now you're seeing him with someone else and it's pissing you off because you're jealous. You're so accustomed to getting what you want that you can't accept that he is no longer yours."

Stephanie scoffed "you don't know me. You're wrong, about everything. I love Adam and I'm going to marry him because he is amazing to me. Trevor and I were together for years and I will always care for him, so I had to be sure that you were good for him, to him."

Trevor sighed "just go Stephanie. This conversation is running in circles, you and I are over. What I'm doing doesn't concern you, and who I'm with is none of your business, you said what you wanted to say, so you can leave now. I'm not going to let you control me the way you did when we were together."

She let out a sigh, running her hand through her hair "I'll go if you promise to come to the wedding, I want you there."

"Goodnight Stephanie."

Olivia stood to her feet and led Stephanie to the door "goodnight"

She turned to Olivia at the door and frowned "you two will never work out, Trevor is never going to get over me, you'll never take my place in his heart. He loves me, always has and always will, he is going to leave you when he realises that you're not me."

"you're right, I'm nothing like you, and he likes that because unlike you, I'm not going to leave him hurting. You never deserved him, and he realises it, he was too good for you, still is." she said, her arms crossed over her chest.

"You're a bitch" she smirked "you're never going to be enough for him, he'll leave you eventually. Sooner than you think, you think that you're going to have a joyful life with him." she scoffed "wait till you find out about his life plans, you'll be shocked. You think you and that little boy found an amazing man that you'll spend forever with but you didn't, Trevor is going to leave soon and then you and your son will be alone."

Hey readers, so this is just a bit of a filler chapter.

I know the Stephanie bit may have seemed a little unnecessary but I needed it to give a push to a few things that have to happen.

I hope you all enjoyed this, let me know.
