chapter one - hogsmeade

This Story is set on Halloween of The Prisoner of Azkaban, if Harry had gone to Hogsmeade. And of course, murder was added :)

Hi. I'm Harry. Harry Potter. You may know me, as many people do. You may hate me. I know many people who want me dead. But that's a tale for another time. The story right now, however, shall begin and it is painfully boring. You'll get through it. I believe in you. Sorry, back to the point. It's Halloween and my friends Ron and Hermione are in Hogsmeade village waiting for a new candy at Honeydukes. On with the story.

"Harry! Come Here! You're going to miss it!"

"Ron, I'm not going to miss Honeydukes' new candy release. We have a full hour,"

"Oh. Right. Well, I'm going early," Ron replied defiantly.

"Will you two stop it? I'm trying to read here," Hermione sighed. "I can't get any homework done if you keep shouting." She looks at us, then glances back at her book and continues to read.

"She's mad," Ron whispered to me.

"Insane," I agreed, "Who does schoolwork on a Holiday?"

"Who does schoolwork in general," He replied with a laugh.

"I can hear you, and for your information, I do." Hermione sighed. "You two are doomed. What will your families think?"

"Well…" I started.

"Sorry, Harry,"

Oh yeah, didn't I tell you? My parents are dead. Volde- er, He who must not be named killed them. And as for my aunt and uncle, who "take care of me" well, I'm the family disgrace.

"Don't worry, Hermione, at least you aren't calling me the chosen one or that sort of-,"

"This is boring. Let's grab some Butterbeer and bad-mouth Malfoy or something," Ron interrupted.

Malfoy. He's one of the ones that hate me. Does he want me dead? I'm not sure. His dad might, considering he was a loyal supporter of my parent's murderer. But one thing I know for sure is that Malfoy couldn't want me out of Hogwarts more than he does now.

"Perfect. Hermione?" I responded

"Fine. And I assume you would rather me not bring my homework?"

"YES!" We practically yelled in response.

"Well, if you insist." She sighed as she stuffed the scrolls and books into her bag.

"Let's go," Ron nagged at us.

We got up and started heading over. Little did I know as we were walking over to the Three Broomsticks, we had strolled right by a murder.
