It was probably around 5 in the morning when he got that call. It took a while to answer since he wasn't exactly a morning person. The only reason he woke up at all was because of Mitsuba. He had gotten up to go to the bathroom and decided to kick his door.

"Answer your damn phone!"

That woke him up real fast.

With a shaky breath and a glare at the door, he picked up the phone before his anxiety could take over.

"Hello?"

"Tsukasa-kun-" A cough could be heard on the other side. "Can you come to my house real quick?"

It was old lady Rika, she sounded sick so Tsukasa couldn't help but worry about her. "I'm on my way."

Minutes later he arrived and let himself in due to knowing where the key was hidden. He went upstairs and found old lady Rika on her bed with a lot of medicine bottles on the bedside cabinet. She looked at him and smiled while signaling for him to come close.

There was that feeling in Tsukasa's chest that was making him hesitate with each step. "What's wrong?" He knew and yet…

"I'm dying Tsukasa-kun."

And yet he didn't want to hear the answer.

"What do you mean-" Before he could continue she interrupted.

"I'm an old woman dear, this was bound to happen." She chuckled. "I don't have much time left so I want to ask you for a favor."

"A favor?"

She nodded. "It's about my will."

Tsukasa froze, was she going to add him to her will? "What do you want me to do?"

"I want you to burn the store down."

"What!?" He exclaimed.

"You heard me, burn it down for me, my family will likely ruin it beyond belief, they've only contacted me recently because I'm on my deathbed." She began to cough again. "Only you can do this favor for me and not get caught."

While Tsukasa was happy Rika trusted him so much he couldn't help but get angry at the thought of Rika's family finally contacting her because she's dying. She was such a sweet and kind soul and a part of him wished she was his mom. If he had a mom like Rika he's sure he and Amane wouldn't have gone through so much shit in life.

"Continue my legacy for me Tsukasa-kun doesn't matter the location. As long as the love is there that's all that matters." She smiled at him.

And Tsukasa had to try to not cry as he held her hand and watched her close her eyes for one last time.

Later that day Tsukasa stood at a funeral home awaiting Rika's ashes. Beside him were Amane, Natsuhiko, and Mitsuba.

"They let you keep them?" Amane asked.

Tsukasa nodded. "They only care about the amount of money she left them." He scoffed as he watched the family members talk about what they'll do with the money, how they'll split it, etc.

It disgusted him.

No wonder Rika asked him for that favor.

Natsuhiko scowled. "How can people be so heartless?"

"I ask myself that every day," Mitsuba replied.

Amane continued consoling Tsukasa who was shaking in anger. He needed to calm down, after all, he'll get the last laugh.

It was time to hear Rika's will.

Tsukasa held onto her ashes as he walked in. Her family looked at him like crazy as the lawyer set everything up.

"What is he doing here?" One of them asked as he glared.

Tsukasa didn't want to be here but he was in her will. Before he could say anything the lawyer answered for him.

"He's in the will."

"Why would grandma leave anything for this guy?"

Tsukasa repressed an eye-roll. She sounded like one of those snobby spoiled bitches you see on television or in one of Nene's weird-ass soap operas.

"You'll have to wait and see."

She rolled her eyes and sat down while glaring at Tsukasa.

The feeling is mutual.

The lawyer read out the standard stuff. Tsukasa didn't pay much attention as it didn't concern him. He was surprised though, he didn't know Rika was so well off.

"For Yugi Tsukasa, I leave all my plants and materials from the gardening store my husband and I have owned for over 50 years." The lawyer said.

Tsukasa understood now what Rika meant about continuing her legacy.

"The land in which the business is on is for my 3 lovely children-"

Tsukasa tuned out the rest.

He was surprised they didn't object to him having the stuff from the store but he figured they had other plans. When Tsukasa went in to get the stuff with the help of his brother and his friends. He found a safe in the corner he never knew about.

"What the…?" He looked at it and on the side was a piece of paper. He grabbed it.

Take these savings and use them to your heart's content.

Code is: 1945

-Rika

Tsukasa couldn't help but chuckle as he opened the safe. He's not surprised this was hidden. Her family would likely fight him over the amount of money she left him considering he's not blood-related.

"Say Amane."

His brother looked up. "Yeah?"

"Tell Nene-chan she'll be able to open that dream business of hers." He said as he prepared himself to pick up the safe.

Amane looked at him in confusion but immediately went still noticing what Tsukasa was carrying. "No way…"

"Yup!"

And thus the rest of the day was spent cleaning out the place. Rika's family came by to tell them to hurry up and get the fuck out of the building because they owned it now. Tsukasa didn't care about how he was being treated. In the end, what did it matter? The amount of money that was left to them was nothing compared to what Rika hid and gave to Tsukasa.

Was it illegal?

Maybe.

Did he care?

Nope.

A week later he snuck in and set the place on fire. Seems the building was quite old and had a short circuit or something.

How horrible for the new owners.

For Tsukasa though it was like watching fireworks.
