chapter nine - missing
Hey ya'll! I'm here again! It's the weekend, so I am probably going to be posting more frequently! Anyway, last chapter, I posted a thing about our next attack/death, so please go review which one you would like! This chapter we will FINALLY get back to our Golden Trio! Happy Reading!
Recap-
Zabini. Goyle. Both dead. Malfoy. Attacked. When will it all end? Hopefully soon, given Harry, Ron, and Hermione are on the case. But will it be soon enough to save the school? Only time will tell. We just were informed of all the interrogations, so start putting together some hints! Happy Reading
"I'm about to go mad," Ron complained.
"What, has it been 20 minutes since you've had a snack?" Hermione snarkily replied.
"Shut up Hermione," Ron sighed "I'm too hungry to deal with this."
"Aha! So it i-"
"Be quiet you two. We have an important job to do," I interjected before it got too bad.
They promptly turned away from each other and looked back at their books. I know Ron and Hermione, and I know that they would never willingly admit to each other that they were wrong. That's where I come in, I help them stay friends, and stay sane.
"What's going on with the map Ron?" Hermione finally spoke.
"Nothing interesting. It looks like Percy and Penelope are snogging in a broom closet again," He said with a disgusted look on his face.
"They seem to have overcome the trauma," I said with a bit of a laugh.
Ron and Hermione laughed too. They were back to friends, thank goodness.
"Holy-" Ron suddenly exclaimed, while looking at something an owl had left for him.
"What is it?" I responded quickly.
"It's from Percy," Ron said, his tone faltering, "McGonagall informed him of a... problem."
"Oh, just tell us!" Hermione said.
"Zabini's gone," He replied.
"You idiot! We learned that ages ago!" She yelled.
"No, I mean... his body is missing," Ron explained, "Apparently, once he was taken to the hospital wing last night, he disappeared."
Hermione went quiet after that.
"Does that mean someone took it?" I said questioningly.
"Well, he can't really un-die can he?" Ron joked.
We all thought about that for a second. ( A/N I want to do so, so many GoF references but this is PoA ) Even Hermione, who would probably rather kiss Malfoy than agree with Ron when she's mad, did not argue.
"So, given he can't un-die, meaning someone stole the body?" I questioned.
"Why would somebody steal that…. person's body?" Ron replied.
It didn't take a genius to understand that Ron was not particularly fond of Zabini. Few people seemed to be. Even many of his fellow Slytherin's didn't know him well.
"Because maybe there was evidence on the body that led to the killer, and the killer didn't want to get caught, naturally," Hermione finally interjected.
It made sense. But something felt wrong. Maybe something about Penelope's attitude, or Fred and George's strange lack of pranks lately. Even Percy, who Ron could agree with, is normally a tad bit insane seemed off. What was happening?
"What did we get ourselves into,"
