Well people if you haven't noticed yet, then let me explain, this is a reboot of Remnant's Phantom Thieves. Now the first thing I will admit is that I didn't dislike what I have been doing with the original… Let's just say the camel's back broke.

To help you understand why I'm rewriting- First off, Persona 5 Royal was announced around the time I first released the original's teaser, but after talking with Timeless and Swift, said screw it, we'll just have Royal be non-canon to this story.

Then RWBY entered it's Atlas Arc and… while it irritating that now we had to deal with Atlas f**king flying over Mantle, and the Ace Ops, all of which were introduced after I ended the Atlas Arc. Plus Pietro being a legitimate nice guy made me feel bad for kidnapping Penny.

But I could handle it, sure it would be awkward but between me, Timeless, and Swift we could find solutions to all of this.

Then I found a story called Raise Your Voice Against Liars, a Persona 5 x Miraculous Ladybug story that got chased off this site by toxic haters and onto Ao3. Now I know what you're thinking, how could a story not at all connected to RWBY cause a problem? Well to answer your question… I want you guys to take a look at how detailed the writer creates the Palaces in their story.

I know it was my first time creating a Palace, but holy hell the only thing I can say that I was left proud of with my Jacques Palace was the Shadow Jacques fight, everything else looked rushed.

And then Persona 5 Strikers came out and I just said 'Screw it, I'm rewriting this.'

So here we are. I hope you all enjoy this story just as much as you did the original.

[Atlas: Goldoan Mansion]

Night had fallen over Atlas, and at the same time a snowstorm had blown in.

Both of these combined had resulted in the two men standing at the sides of the front door being unable to see anything.

"You know." one of the guards starts, "This is kinda stupid."

"The fact we're guarding the Mansion after Mr. Goldoan was threatened?" The other guard asked.

"No." The first one continued, "I mean you and me, the last two human guards standing outside in the cold in the middle of a snowstorm while all the AK 130's are all inside."

The second guard blinked, "Okay you've got a point there." He admitted, "I'm freezing and I can't see anything in this weather."

"I'll be honest, we should start considering a new job soon." The first guard said, "We're probably gonna get fired tonight if anything happens."

"Yeah." The second guard said, "What kind of criminal comes through the front door? Especially when they can't even see the front door?"

The two guards sighed and attempted to tighten the hoods of their coats. "You hungry man? I got a couple protein bars in my pockets." The first asked.

Distracted by their conversation. The two guards failed to notice a figure climbing their way onto the balcony over their heads.

[Persona 5 ost: Life Will Change]

The figure was that of a young man with shaggy black hair, he wore an open chested black trench coat with a tail that was cut into three parts over a gray collared shirt, black trousers, brown cuban heeled boots, and a pair of red gloves. Over his face the man wore a white bird shaped mask with black interior that covered only his cloudy gray eyes.

Despite the snowstorm, the man moved with such precision it was as if the snowstorm didn't exist for him.

As such the man quickly opened the glass doors on the balcony and entered the building.

"Wow, the doors weren't even locked." a young girl's voice sounded within the man's head, "We sent the guy a calling card and everything and he's just making it too easy!"

"Feeling insulted Oracle?" The man asked amused.

"If anything it's you guys that should feel insulted." The now named Oracle said, "So you remember the plan Joker?"

"I remember my part of the plan." Joker said, "It's some of the others I need to worry about."

"Protecting Oracle should not be too difficult, Joker." A different girl's voice stated, "Especially with Queen, Violet and Mona here to assist me."

"Just don't let your guard down Sophie." Joker reminded, "We did announce we're going to be robbing this guy, Ironwood's Ace Ops are likely to consider searching the area for escape routes to try and cut us off."

"Assuming the Ace Ops have a wisdom stat higher than the majority of Atlas." Oracle deadpanned.

"Oracle…" The girl named Sophie started.

"Hey you can't say I'm wrong!" Oracle shouted.

Joker sighed and refocused on his mission, and silently slipped over to the door and slowly opened the door and peered through the gap.

Standing with it's back to the room was an AK-130, this model having it's arms replaced by short blades.

With a smirk Joker leapt onto the AK's shoulders and from within his coat he pulled out a dagger, though calling it a dagger wouldn't be right.

The jagged single edged blade was just too large to be called that of a dagger, and yet too small to be called a short sword, a guard was around the handle of the weapon, not completely reaching the bottom of the weapon and appeared to be in the shape of a skull.

This was Joker's weapon of choice. Paradise Lost.

Faster than the AK could react, Joker drove Paradise Lost into the chin of the AK-130, the blade nearly cutting the head in half before Joker ripped the blade upward completely destroying the head of the AK-130.

Joker jumped off the destroyed robot and in a blur of shadows was pressed against the wall of a corner, peeking around to see another AK-130 patrolling the hall.

However Joker saw a way to sneak past the AK and in a blur dashed into the shadows of a table near him in the hall, his body shrouded in the shadows as he hid. A few more dashes to other tables and he found himself at the end of the hall, right behind the AK, which turned around and walked past him.

Silently Joker slipped out of the shadows and around the corner and was quite happy when he found a pair of doors with a plate stating 'Library' on it.

"Easy enough." Joker said as he entered the library, closing the door behind him as he did so.

The library wasn't the biggest, but considering the whole team was aware there was a hidden room within the library it wasn't surprising.

"Let's see." Joker said, and with a blink his eyes went from grey to golden, and his vision changed as well as the world to him changed to a dull blue, with a bust of a woman glowing bright gold at the end of the room, "Bingo." Joker said as his eyes and vision returned to normal.

Walking up to the bust Joker grabbed her jaw and pulled it down, triggering a mechanism which resulted in one of the bookshelves sliding back and to the side to reveal a room filled with several objects, many appearing to be valuable, including the object of their interest. An ornamented box carved from palm wood from Menagerie.

"I'm here Oracle." Joker said, "Security measures still seem to be active though." He noted, having shifted his vision again and seeing several lasers glowing red filling the room.

"Still?" Oracle asked, "What's taking Skull so long? Is he actually trying to turn the generator off normally?"

"So you expected him to just smash the generator too." Joker said amused as he leaned against a wall free of lasers.

"It's Skull." Oracle said.

Joker just rolled his eyes. He picked Skull for taking out the generator because everyone on the team knew he would just break the thing, which would give them far more time.

"Oh I see what's taking him so long now." Oracle muttered, "Seems like he's fighting someone down in the basement… Wait…"

"Fighting?" Joker asked, "Who?"

"Someone strong, probably an Ace Op." Oracle stated, "Switching escape routes now. Fox, Panther, forget the garage, we're moving onto Plan B. Go help Wolf and Noir secure the roof."

[Goldoan Mansion: Basement]

"Shit." Skull muttered as he jumped back from the swing of a hammer, "This is not a good place to fight.

Skull was a young man, with short, spiky, bleached blonde hair, wearing a black leather jacket and black pants that had knee pads, a red ascot, combat boots, a pair of yellow gloves, on his face was a dark grey mask shaped like a skull, minus a lower jaw.

In his hands was an oddly shaped staff, it had two large golden weights at each end and near the center of the staff was a pair of iron weights while the remainder of the staff was a solid red bar. His weapon of choice for when he needs general damage, Ruyi Jingu Bang.

His opponent was a large woman with tanned skin and brown hair, she was wearing a white single sleeved uniform jacket over a dark gray armored shirt, a pair of metal bracers on her wrists, and a pair of white uniform pants with a red belt.

She was swinging a large hammer attempting to knock out Skull, but was being hampered largely by the confined space she was fighting in, and thus couldn't swing the weapon with the rocket powered force she normally did, not without causing a large amount of collateral damage.

This was Ace Operative Elm Ederne.

Despite his limp, Skull was having a much easier time in this fight than Elm was. He was smaller, and much more experienced in dodging large and heavy blows, even then he could take those blows much better than most of the others on his team.

"Just sit still!" Elm shouted as she swung her hammer straight down, only for Skull to sidestep the attack and swing his weapon at her, which she responded by blocking the attack with her hammer's handle.

"I've already dealt with a broken leg." Skull taunted, "I can live without learning how anything else feels broken."

However Skull was getting annoyed too, he took one look at the generator and figured he may as well break it, but before he could even get halfway close to the generator Elm tried to take his head off with a hammer. He did notice however that she had to quickly change her angle on the first swing to keep from damaging a pillar… Both of them figured being buried alive would not do for their careers.

At the moment he couldn't get near the generator and he wasn't quite ready to go all out underground himself.

'Come on there's gotta be something I can do.' Skull thought to himself as he kept an eye on his opponent, then he noticed there was one attack she would put more power into- A downward swing judging by the imprint of the hammer on the floor.

Skull grinned as an idea came to mind, he just needed a chance.

With that in mind he ran forward, only to quickly step back as Elm swung at him from the side.

"Are you really slower than a guy with a bummed leg?" Skull taunted.

Elm didn't respond, choosing to focus on the fight and not let Skull's taunts get to her, she did notice however it was getting harder for her to swing side to side.

Finally she swung downward, and this time Skull stood still.

"Gotcha." Skull said as he swung his weapon, intercepting Elm's hammer and driving it toward the ground, then he slammed his weapon on top of Elm's hammer, nailing the weapon firmly in the ground.

"Shit!" Elm shouted as she tried to pull her hammer out.

"Good fight." Skull said as he jumped onto Elm's shoulders and then off of her toward the generator, subsequently knocking Elm off balance, "We should do this again when we can both go all out."

With that Skull slammed his staff into the generator, repeatedly, which soon caused the generator to start sparking violently.

"See ya!" Skull shouted as he sprinted out of the basement, with Elm finally getting her hammer free chasing after him.

Only she had actually run right past him as Skull hid in the shadows of several large crates of Dust after he turned a corner, Elm running past him and back outside none the wiser.

[Back with Joker]

[OST: Persona 5 Strikers: Daredevil]

Joker smiled when the lights in the room all went down, "Good job Skull." Joker said as he walked through the middle of the room, highly tempted to steal everything that wasn't nailed down, but instead focused on the target, the Menagerian Box.

Taking the box from its place Joker stuffed the box in his coat and pulled Paradise Lost back out, this time spinning the weapon quickly, and when it stopped, the weapon he was holding was now a gun.

A dark colored pistol that appeared to have glowing red eyes and a jaw of sinister looking teeth below the barrel, making the weapon look bulkier. The Tyrant Pistol, fused with Paradise Lost to allow the weapons to mechashift as is a common practice on Remnant.

Joker smirked and quickly turned to leave the library, "I've got Ghira's Box." Joker said.

"Good." Oracle responded, "Now get to the roof! Quickly, Fox and Panther are being held up by some Ace Op's themselves."

"Need me to back them up?" Joker asked.

"Well they are on the way…" Oracle admitted.

"I'll be right there." Joker said, turning a corner and quickly shooting an AK-130 in the head, the unsilenced bullet destroying the machine's head.

[With Fox and Panther]

Four Combatants stood in the middle of a fairly open room, two thieves and two Ace Ops.

The first of the two thieves was a young man with dark blue hair. He wore a black jumpsuit that had a high upturned collar on it and baggy forearms, white motorcycle boots that reached his knees, blue gloves on his hands, a blue and white striped waist sash, and clipped to the back of that sash was a a long white fox tail that had a red ribbon wrapped around it on his face was a white fox mask that covered his whole face.

In one of his hands was a katana housed in a red sheath with gold decorative flames on the lower half of the sheathe and a stylized sun decoration on the pommel of the blade. Usumidori, the weapon of choice of Fox.

The second of the two thieves was a young woman with long pale blonde hair that was tied up in wavy ponytails. Her outfit was a skin tight red leather catsuit worn with a matching red panther mask that covered her upper face. The suit had a cleavage cutout, several zippers on the front and with it she wore pink gloves that almost reached her elbows and dark red thigh-high boots clipped to her lower back, just under her tail bone, was a panther's tail the same color as her suit.

In her hand was a whip, though at first glance one couldn't tell due to the fact the weapon houses itself within the handle. The handle itself however was what one might call gaudy due to it use of rose gold and black metal for form a kind of umbrella patterned handle with a large guard to protect her hand, and the spike of the whip being a cross-like shape made of three gemstones, one light blue, one light green, and one light purple, and a fourth red gem set in the middle of those three gems. Panther's prefered whip, the Naraka Whip.

Of the Ace Ops, the first was a young woman with tanned skin and majority of her hair shaved off, with only a brown stripe and two tufts of platinum blonde remaining, she was wearing a standard Atlas white and blue uniform, but she also had mechanical braces covering most of her arms and fists. Harriet Bree of the Ace Ops.

The other was the newest member of the Ace Ops and the only Faunus of the team, Marrow Amin. He had darker skin than Harriet and greenish black mid length hair and was wearing the standard Atlas Specialist uniform with minimal augmentations, his weapon was currently in the form of a large rifle, but was capable of turning into a large boomerang should the need arise, but at the moment he does not want to be unarmed for even a moment.

With a growl Harriet rushed toward Fox, Panther jumping out of the way and running toward Marrow, Harriet choosing to ignore Panther due to one fact.

Fox was somehow matching her speed.

During their last clash, and this clash, the fox themed thief was matching each and every one of her punches with a parry from his katana, even landing several strikes with his sheath.

Meanwhile Marrow had to keep his weapon in gun form despite it being less advantageous in his fight with Panther, however with the fast swings of the Naraka Whip he needed to be able to move faster than he would with his weapon in it's boomerang form.

"Fox, we're wasting time here!" Panther shouted to the other Phantom Thief as she swung her whip, forcing Marrow to duck as the whip carved a shallow gash into the wall behind him.

"Harriet, a little help?" Marrow called out as well.

"I am aware of the issue, Panther." Fox replied rather calmly as he parried another of Harriet's punches.

"I'd help if you gave me an opening with a few pot shots!" Harriet shouted to her partner, "Otherwise think of any other way to hurry this UP!" She threw a strong punch at Fox with her last word, while also receiving a strike on her side for the attack, which missed Fox's head by an inch.

However those words gave both Fox and Panther an idea as both of them glanced up to see a chandelier hanging in the middle of the room.

"On my signal!" Fox shouted putting the two Ace Ops on edge, furthermore they stiffened, a mistake that cost them the fight.

"Now!" Panther shouted and lashed her whip at Marrow, catching him by the arm and yanking him toward Harriet.

At the same time, Fox thrust with the sheath of his sword, hitting Harriet dead center and knocking her back.

The two collided in the middle of the room, just as a figure leapt from ground level onto the chandelier.

"Light's out!" Joker shouted, and with a single slash from Paradise Lost, cut the chain holding up the chandelier resulting in it crashing down on top of the two Ace Ops.

"Shit!" Harriet shouted as she covered her face.

Joker landed next to Fox as the chandelier trapped the two Ace Ops below it, "Nice plan." Joker stated as he looked at the two Ace Ops.

"You've got to be kidding me." Marrow grunted as he and Harriet tried to lift off the chandelier, but due to the angle they were in, it was proving very difficult.

As the three thieves looked at the two specialists struggling, Skull ran into the room slightly panting.

"Phew." Skull breathed, "Caught up to you guys."

"Welcome to the party Skull." Panther said, checking Skull for injuries, "What took so long."

"Small fighting space." Skull said, "Plus the girl I was fighting wasn't making getting to the generator easy."

Joker nodded at the information, "Let's keep moving." Joker stated, "Before they get their second wind."

The three other Thieves nodded and continued onward to the rooftop.

[At the Rooftop]

Five people stood on the rooftop, two thieves and three Atlesian Specialists, two of which were Ace Ops, not yet having clashed.

The first of the Thieves was a woman that had curly chin length hair that was a light auburn color, which was hidden under a mauve cavalier hat with a plumed feather, she had on a long sleeved light pink blouse with a cravat, black corset vest, puffy mauve shorts, black pantyhose with identically colored shoes, a holster belt carrying ammo, more specifically grenade launcher rounds, with her hands covered in purple gloves, on her face was a black bandits mask that covered her eyes.

In her hands was a large menacing looking battle axe, it was pitch black, with one end of the axe being rather small while on the other side was a massive blade that looked as if someone had turned a scythe blade into an axe head- The Fleur De Mal, weapon of choice for the Phantom Thief Noir

The other thief was a much older looking man, wearing a pinpoint blindfold as a mask,a black ankle-length tailcoat with black buckled tassels at the end of the sleeves, a silverish-gray folded up collar that was upturned to reach above most of his head with a large brimmed hat with a long point at the front of the hat that almost made it look like the collar and hat were one and the same, a high-collared jacket coat with silver accents with matching double bandolier belts black pants, silverish gray accented, black winkle pickers.

He had one hand on his weapon that was hanging from his back, a large two handed sword that outside of its size, the most noticeable thing about it was the blue glow of the weapon as silver decorations running down the middle of the blade minimized the glow a fair amount. This was the preferred weapon of this thief, the weapon's name was Gram and was the weapon of choice for Wolf.

The first of the Ace Ops was a young man with short brown hair and wearing a sleeveless version of the Atlesian Specialist outfit, modified however to have wishbone patterns on the shoulders and a clover pin was pinned onto his chest, in one of his hands he held… A metal fishing rod with a thick metal hook.

Clover Ebi- Leader of the Ace Ops.

Next was a lanky man with hair shaved low and thin to the point color could not be seen, his Specialist uniform was modified to be more monk themed,, with a red sash covering the front of his chest, his weapon nowhere visible on his body at the moment.

This was the Ace Ops final member, Vine Zeki.

Finally was Winter Schnee, a woman with white hair that was tied up in an off center bun, uniformed in a white coat with a red brooch covering her neck, her coat left part of her upper arms exposed and she had black gloves covering her hands, garter belts being incorporated into her pants. In her hands was a white sabre that had dust chambers built into it, as well as a hidden chamber that held a second blade.

"I'm guessing you're not going to surrender." Winter stated firmly.

"You've got that right." Wolf replied, "No offense but you Atlas people really need to step off your high horse."

"And people like Goldoan are proof of that." Noir added, "Bribing courier services to deliver him anything that looks remotely valuable. Especially things shipped to or from known Faunus."

"Now hold on." Clover called out, "You can't just accuse-"

"Well we would have sent your local law enforcement proof." Wolf interrupted, "But anyone in Atlas with any actual sense of justice or even honor is stuck at the bottom of the ladder barking up the chain in vain." Wolf shrugged, "Honestly it's kind of sad, 'A Faunus has been robbed? Not Atlas's problem.' And here I was thinking Mistral was the most racist of the kingdoms."

The three Specialists flinched at the verbal jab about racism, the two Ace Ops knew very well that Marrow got a lot of flak and that meant they usually needed to have someone with him in case he needed to pull rank.

Not a moment afterwards, the leader of the Phantom Thieves stepped onto the roof and stood in front of Noir and Wolf, his hands in his pockets, and the rest of the Phantom Thieves that were in the mansion approaching shortly afterwards.

"And that is why the Phantom Thieves of Heart exist." Joker explained, "To give hope to the oppressed, and to have those that oppress others confess their sins and accept their punishment."

"Like my father?" Winter growled, though Winter admitted her father was far from father of the year, she was still upset at whatever the Phantom Thieves did to him.

"Winter, calm yourself." Vine reminded.

"Real piece of work he was." Wolf muttered to himself.

"We both know what Jacques Schnee was doing." Joker said, then held his right hand out to the side, "Is your mother any happier? Are your siblings happier?"

"Enough!" Winter shouted and charged at Joker.

Joker smirked and pulled out Paradise Lost and deflected the saber, and with that as a signal, the Ace Ops rushed to aid Winter, but were blocked.

Clover's fishing line was tangled in with Panther's whip, and Vine was intercepted by Wolf, the other Thieves darting off into the shadows to strike when they could.

Pulling the second blade from her saber, Winter pushed an offense against Joker, however the Phantom Thief was quick to not only adapt to the second blade, but in a quick twirl of his own weapon into the form of the Tyrant Pistol, shot the second blade out of Winter's hand.

She then summoned an Alpha Beowulf with her Semblance, a crystalline white version of the usually pitch black creatures of evil, and sent it toward Joker, only for the creation to be blown aside from a bullet that came from the shadows.

Clover in the meantime was having difficulties of his own, as the blonde Phantom Thief he was fighting was far more well versed in mid range fighting than he was- Mainly due to his habit of using Kingfisher as either a baton or a fishing rod to set up for his Luck Semblance to kick in.

Problem was that whenever she had a moment of bad luck she would recover remarkably fast, as if she was used to having rotten luck in the middle of battle and had adapted to dealing with it.

"Vine a little help?" Clover called out.

"Sorry pal." Wolf responded, causing Clover to look over and flinch with surprise. "But your friend really needs to watch his step."

Someway, somehow Vine was already face down on the snow covered roof, Wolf standing over him dusting his hands off.

That momentary lapse cost Clover the fight, but not from Panther, but from the grenade that was shot at him from the shadows, taking him down in the explosion.

Winter looked around the area and swallowed, she was not expecting a group of thieves to be so well versed in combat, or at the very least not being skilled enough to 1v1 the Ace Op's for the most part.

Winter glared back at Joker as he held the Tyrant Pistol to his side, "If you're really trying to help people then why are you even wearing a mask?" Winter growled as she attempted to buy the other Ace Op's time to arrive, "Take it off!"

Winter was confused when Joker smirked as she could also hear the sound of a loud rotor approaching, their getaway plan most likely.

"Very well." Joker said as he crouched down, "Just remembered you asked for this."

With that Joker leapt into the air, grabbing his mask as he did so and tore it off, the mask shattering and burning away in blue flames, Joker's face was also still covered in blue flames, obscuring his identity.

Winter and Clover, the latter of which was on his back but still conscious, went wide eyed at the sight of the flames, but soon felt a chill run down their spines as a sinister laughter filled the air

Blue flames emerged from behind Joker, which formed a rather intimidating figure, it was larger that Joker, it had a black torso like an vest with a white cravat on its neck, its arms were covered in a long sleeves red vest that reached it's clawed hands, it's legs had on leggings that covered the entirety of its legs, but not the waist and had boots with blades posing as long heels, two large black feathered wings on it's back, a ridiculously tall top hat on it's head. Said head was completely covered by a sinister black mask with red eyes and mouth and had two long horns curling to the front of its face.

"Arsene!" Joker shouted as he moved his free hand to his other side and behind him, the now named Arsene mirroring the action, "Eiha!"

With that declaration the two swung their arms toward Winter, causing a mass of black and red energy to surge beneath her and burst upwards, sending her flying and landing on her back next to Clover.

"Shows over." Joker said as he landed, Arsene fading away behind him as his mask appeared once more.

It was then the source of the rotor sound appeared, a black helicopter with a single yellow stripe, a glass dome cockpit, and a pair of cat ears?

Piloting the helicopter was a woman wearing an all white dress, black stocking, flat shoes and gloves, a single ponytail of floating hearts going down the back of her head, and her face was covered by a black screen with blue circles.

The Helicopter landed at the edge of the roof and the side opened to reveal three more women.

The first was a woman with long orange hair wearing a mask that looked like large black goggles with orange lenses, she wore a skintight black bodysuit with fluorescent neon green glowing strips and matching black boots with neon green soles.

"We're here!" The woman, her voice revealing her to be Oracle, shouted.

"We don't have time to waste!" The second woman shouted, she had short brown hair in a bob cut, she wore a skintight black leather suit that is worn with a long black scarf, shoulder and knee pads with spikes with white gloves on he hands, on her face was an iron mask that covered her upper face with cut outs to reveal her reddish brown eyes.

The last woman leaned toward the pilot, she had long red hair tied in a ponytail by a red ribbon, she also wore a black leotard under a black bolero jacket with three floor length coattails, a black mask on her face, red gloves, and thigh high stockings and stiletto heels.

"Are you sure you can fly in this weather Sophie?" She asked the pilot as the other Phantom Thieves climbed into the helicopter.

"It is no problem at all Violet." The pilot replied in a cheerful voice, "I've taken the liberty to install many alternative forms of sight into my mask."

"Alright then." Joker said as he closed the doors, "Let's go."

"You heard him Sophie- Let's get out of here!" a boyish voice responded from… The helicopter controls?

"Roger that." Sophie replied happily and with that the helicopter lifted into the air and vanished in the snowstorm.

Meanwhile back on the rooftop of the mansion, Winter, Clover and Vine attempted to stand up, only succeeding when Marrow, Harriet, and Elm arrived at the rooftop themselves and helped them up.

"What happened?" Elm asked as she helped steady Winter.

Winter sighed in annoyance as she looked to where she was launched from.

"We need to speak with the general." Winter said, "We were lacking critical information, information General Ironwood needs to know."
