Kraven the Hunter

A black suited Spider-Man battle Kraven the Hunter. He gained the upper hand thanks to the Symbiote enhancing his powers.
He was about to deliver a deadly punch that could take Kraven's life.
"No!" Mary Jane said.
Spider-Man stopped at that moment, he couldn't take Kraven's life in front of Mary Jane's eyes.
Later as the NYPD came and secured the scene, Mary Jane is safe as Kraven is unconscious from the beating that Spider-Man inflicted on him. He got loaded up onto an ambulance all strapped.
The ambulance left the scene as it made way to the hospital. The paramedic checks on his vitals until Kraven opens his eyes and burst out of the straps.
The paramedic tries to restrain him but Kraven is too strong. He knocked out the paramedic as he got up and kicked the back door. He jumped off the ambulance as it is in motion. Kraven moves as fast as he can and work through the injuries.
Sometime later Kraven arrives at the hideout that he and Calypso are staying at.
"My love, you've returned." Calypso said.
"Ca-lypso!" Kraven said.
He fell down as he used up his energy escaping and getting here. Calypso came to him and sees that he's injured from his fight against Spider-Man.
"My love... we must leave at once." Calypso said.
Later they managed to sneak into a boat bound for Africa. Calypso has Kraven laid down on a makeshift bed.
"One day... I'll return... I swear it." Kraven said.
Present
Morning came as it is September, Peter and Mary Jane woke up as it is 6:30 in the morning.
"Morning Tiger." Mary Jane said.
"Morning MJ." Peter smiled.
Later Peter is in the kitchen making coffee as he is all dressed up. Mary Jane came in all dressed too.
"Mmm... is that coffee?" Mary Jane said.
"It sure is." Peter poured a cup and gave it to Mary Jane.
"Thanks Tiger." Mary Jane smiled.
"It's been days since we've got back from the Hamptons and now today is the first day back in collage." Peter said.
"You're thinking about Dr. Connors?" Mary Jane said.
"Yeah... it's been six months and he's still missing. He doesn't want to be found unless he wants to be found." Peter said.
"I'm sure he'll pop up soon, you'll find a way to help him." Mary Jane said.
"You think so?" Peter said.
"I know so, I believe in you." Mary Jane said.
Peter and Mary Jane kissed each other.
"Shall we?" Peter said.
"Let's go." Mary Jane said.
At Midtown High, school is reopened as Gwen got a ride from her dad.
"Okay, did you get the number 2 pencils?" George Stacy said.
"Yeah." Gwen said.
"The notebooks?" George Stacy said.
"Yes, I've got the pencils, the notebooks, the erasers, and a ruler, I even got the lunch money." Gwen said.
"Okay... just making sure that you're not missing anything." George Stacy said.
"Dad... I'll be fine." Gwen said.
"I know... it's just that you're now seventeen years old and a senior. Just one year left of high school and you'll be in college. It's just hard to see my girl growing up and soon to be a woman. A woman who won't need me." George Stacy said.
"I'll alway need you dad, I'm lucky to have a great father like you." Gwen said.
George and Gwen hugged in the car.
"I love you dad." Gwen said.
"Love you too Gwennie... now go, you'll be late." George Stacy smiled.
Gwen exited the car as her dad left the premises.
"Gwen!" Sally waving her hand.
"Sally!" Gwen smiled.
Gwen hugged her best friend Sally Avril.
"Just one year left and soon collage. What are your plans for which collage you'll be attending?" Sally said.
"I'm hoping for Empire State University, if they accept me." Gwen said.
"Are you kidding me, you're the smartest girl in Midtown High, even Mr. Raymond Warren thinks highly of you as his star pupil. Trust me, you got this." Sally said.
"Thanks, that means a lot." Gwen smiled.
The bell rang as class is about to start soon.
"Shall we?" Sally said.
"After you." Gwen smiled.
Gwen and Sally enters school to start their senior year at Midtown High.
Later at Empire State University as Peter and Mary Jane are inside as they approach Biochemistry class that was taught by Dr. Curtis Connors.
"Okay, this is my class. See you later?" Peter said.
"Sure." Mary Jane said.
Peter and Mary Jane kissed each other as they part ways to their classes. Peter enters biochemistry class as he spots his former roommate and best friend Harry Osborn.
"Peter! Over here!" Harry waves.
Peter walks towards Harry and sits down next to him.
"I'm surprised that you made it on time and not all tired." Harry said.
"I'm still tired out though not from work." Peter said.
"Oh... you and MJ...?" Harry smiled.
"No comment." Peter said.
Class is about to start as they see the new teacher for this class. A dark haired male came in, he looked like he came from Europe.
"Hello everyone, my name is Dr. Michael Morbius and I'll be teaching biochemistry this semester in Dr. Connors absence. I hoped to live up to Connors expectations and do my very best as your teacher to bright your mind with science. Any questions so far?" Morbius said.
No one answered any questions.
"Okay... let's get started." Morbius said.
Morbius began to teach his class.
The bell rang as chemistry class ends.
"Alright, remember to study for tonight!" Raymond said.
Gwen and Sally got up and about it exit the classroom.
"Ms Stacy, a word please." Raymond said.
Gwen stayed behind as Sally left the classroom.
"Yes Mr. Warren?" Gwen said.
"I've heard that Dr. Connors is still missing, though I heard that an old colleague of Connors will be glad to accept interns for ESU labs. I recommended you." Raymond said.
"You did?" Gwen said.
"Of course, you're one of my best pupils who shown a passion for science. The spot is yours if you want it." Raymond said.
"Absolutely! Thank you." Gwen said.
Gwen is excited to hear that she got back an internship at ESU.
Later after school ended, Peter arrived at the lab that Connors used to be in charge of. He sees Dr. Morbius injecting something into his veins.
"Sorry if I bothered you." Peter said.
"It's okay, you didn't." Morbius said.
"Are you a diabetic?" Peter said.
"Oh no, this is treatment for a blood disease I've got." Morbius said.
"I'm sorry, didn't mean to pry." Peter said.
"Is okay... so you're Peter Parker? Curt told me so much about you, he told that you're his best student, even though you did skipped classes more than once." Morbius said.
"Hopefully that'll change. How do you know Dr. Connors?" Peter said.
"He and I both studied together in our collage years, we're old friends." Morbius said.
"Peter?" Gwen said.
Peter and Morbius sees Gwen Stacy here.
"Gwen? What are you doing here?" Peter said.
"Raymond got me an internship here again. So you must be the new professor?" Gwen said.
"Dr. Michael Morbius, a pleasure to meet you Gwendolyne Stacy. Curt said that you're brilliant, even your science teacher Raymond vouches for you." Morbius said.
"Nice to meet you Dr. Morbius, and please call me Gwen." Gwen said.
"Of course... Gwen." Morbius said.
Martha and Billy Connors entered the lab as Peter, Gwen, and Morbius sees them.
"Martha, Billy, it's good to see you both again." Morbius said.
"Thank you Michael. Peter, Gwen, it's good to see you again." Martha said.
"Good to see you too Martha. What are you and Billy doing here?" Peter said.
"We've come by to collect some of Curt's things that he left behind and the university said that is okay." Martha said.
"Oh! We're still organizing everything here. I'll be sure to pack up all of his stuff and get you as soon as possible." Morbius said.
"Thank you Michael." Martha said.
Peter went to speak with Billy who's in his dad's old office. Billy sees a photo of his dad.
"Hey Billy, why the mopey face?" Peter smiled.
"I miss him, my dad stayed behind to fight off those Lizards. Why didn't he come back?" Billy tears in his eyes.
"I don't know?" Peter said.
"Do you think that he's..." Billy said.
"No, I'm sure that he isn't, only two lizards were found but your dad wasn't. He's out there somewhere, I'm sure of it." Peter said.
"You take pictures of Spider-Man, do you?" Billy said.
"Yeah." Peter said.
"Could you ask him to find my daddy and bring him home?... Please." Billy said.
Peter knows what it's like to grow up without a father, Billy's father is still alive and his son needs him, his family needs him.
"Sure... I'll be sure he gets your message. He can find your dad. He will find your dad, I promise." Peter said.
"Thank you." Billy smiled as he wipes his tears off.
"You're welcome." Peter smiled.
Later Gwen and Peter left the lab as they meet up with Mary Jane who's waiting outside.
"Peter, Gwen, what's going on?" Mary Jane said.
"What's going on is that we're going on a hunt to find the Lizard, we're going to find Dr. Connors, it's time we bring him home." Peter said.
Mary Jane smiled as she walked with Peter and Gwen to help find Dr. Connors.
At the top of a skyscraper, Kraven and Calypso overlook the city as he celebrate his return.
"It's been a while... this is where my greatest challenge started and where I was disgraced. Now I am back and now I'm on a hunt." Kraven said.
"Do you plan to hunt down Spider-Man, my love?" Calypso said.
"I am tempted but fate has brought me another prey in mind." Kraven said.
Kraven holds a paper of the Bugle, it tells about a recent Lizard sighting in New York.
"Let the hunt begin." Kraven smiled.
Peter arrived at the Daily Bugle as he ran into Betty Brant.
"Peter, did Jameson call you?" Betty said.
"Oh... uh no. This is something else, I was hoping to poke around on the Bugle archives to find anything about the recent Lizard sightings." Peter said.
"After what happened months ago with the lizard men attacks, thought this was the last we've heard of them. What's your interest in this?" Betty said.
"Oh I'm just trying to help out someone who might look into the Lizard." Peter said.
"You mean Spider-Man?" Betty said.
"Shh, shh, don't say it out loud, don't want JJ to heard or he'll yell." Peter whispered.
"Okay, okay, I'm quiet. Is it for Spider-Man?" Betty whispered.
"Yes, it for Spider-Man." Peter whispered.
"Okay, in the past months there has been reports of something big and scaly roaming around a restaurant name Genghis Connie's, some people thinks that it's a dragon of some kind." Betty said.
"But you don't think it's a dragon." Peter said.
"That's all I know." Betty said.
"Betty! JJ wants to go to Oscorp for another interview!" Ned Leeds said.
"I'm coming Ned!" Betty turns to Peter. "I gotta go."
"Okay... take care Betty." Peter said.
"You too Pete." Betty said.
Betty left with Ned Leeds to Oscorp. Peter now has a lead that could lead him to the Lizard.
Later at night outside Genghis Connie's, Spider-Man and Ghost-Spider are on top of the building looking at the restaurant that is close to the university.
"So this is the lead, a Chinese restaurant?" Ghost-Spider said.
"Whenever Dr. Connors stays at ESU, he would often come here or order from Genghis Connie's, it's his favorite Chinese spot. Let's hope that he's still a creature of habit. Let's look around." Spider-Man said.
They both arrived at the alley behind Genghis Connie's, they looked around and sees a manhole already opened.
"Spider-Man, look." Ghost-Spider said.
They stare down at the opened manhole as they get the idea.
"Looks like we're on the right track. Okay Alice, down the rabbit hole we go." Spider-Man said.
Spider-Man and Ghost-Spider climbed down into the sewers and follow the trail. The sewers is dark as they activate the flashlight from their webshooters. Ghost-Spider noticed how much the sewers stinks.
"Ew... what an incredible smell you've discovered." Ghost-Spider said.
"Good one, let's proceed." Spider-Man said.
"I'm gonna need to take ten showers at home after I'm done." Ghost-Spider said.
They continue down the tunnels until they see footprints on the ground, one pair looks like they belong to the Lizard as another pair looks human, the human pair looked recent.
"Hey... footprints." Ghost-Spider said.
"There's a mans footprints here, it looks recent. Looks like we're not the only ones looking for the Lizard. Let's keep going." Spider-Man said.
They continue down the tunnel until they see a light at the end, they arrived at a place that looks like a shelter.
"Makeshift bed, discarded Chinese food containers, looks like we found his home." Ghost-Spider said.
Spider-Man spotted blood on the floor.
"Look! Blood!" Spider-Man said.
They see drips of blood on the floor.
"It's a blood trail, he's been injured recently." Spider-Man said.
They follow the trail of blood to a water flow that the Lizard seem to escape in.
"The trail ended here, he got injured and he ran towards the water, hoping to lose his hunter." Spider-Man said.
"So he can be anywhere by now, this tunnel system is like a huge maze." Ghost-Spider said.
Spider-Man spots an arrow that has blood on the arrowhead, but the arrow itself is familiar, he's seen it before.
"Wait!" Spider-Man said.
"What is it?" Ghost-Spider said.
Spider-Man picked up the arrow and got a closer look, he's seen the same arrow before, seven months ago.
"It can't be... he's back." Spider-Man said.
"Who's back?" Ghost-Spider said.
"Kraven." Spider-Man said.
Later Peter and Gwen returned to Mary Jane's apartment. He showed an image of Kraven the Hunter on the computer.
"Sergei Kravenoff... also known as Kraven the Hunter." Peter said.
"Never thought I had to see that face again, he's the bastard who kidnapped me seven months ago." Mary Jane said.
"He came after me the first time as a challenge for claim me as a trophy, then he kidnapped MJ as bait to lure me into a trap. I defeated him and he got taken away by the police. According to this, he escaped from an ambulance on its way to the hospital and hasn't been seen since... till now." Peter said.
"Are you sure that is him?" Gwen said.
"The arrow found at the Lizard's lair matches the ones Kraven used against me months ago, trust me it's him." Peter said.
"And now he's after Connors." Mary Jane said.
"So what's the next move?" Gwen said.
"First things first, we gotta figure out where Connors will head to and get there first before Kraven does." Peter said.
At Oscorp, Betty and Ned are given a tour of Oscorp by Dr. Mendel Stormm who is the head scientist at Oscorp. He gives them a demonstration of the new technology built for the military.
"What we have here a multi weapons aerial platform, capable of firing rockets and guns that can shoot to 50 rounds per minute. It can also be used to fly over minefields and engage in aerial combat against enemy helicopters." Mendel Stromm said.
"So it's a hi tech glider." Ned Leeds said.
"Well it's called a combat aerial platform but glider seems to have a nice ring to it." Mendel Stormm said.
"Dr Stromm, what are these here." Betty said.
"These are handheld highly explosive bombs, packs more punch than a standard frag grenade." Mendel Stromm said.
"Dr. Stormm, we need you at the lab right now."
"Alright, excuse me." Mendel Stromm said.
Dr. Stromm leaves for a moment to attend to lab business as Betty and Ned are left behind.
"May I ask why are you really here? Did Jameson assign you this job or did you request it?" Betty said.
"Truthfully... I asked for this." Ned Leeds said.
"Why? Why all this trouble just to get close to me?" Betty said.
"Well... because I like you Betty. The first time I saw you I felt attracted." Ned Leeds said.
"I'm flattered but I'm just not ready to be in a relationship yet." Betty said.
"Why? You got a boyfriend?" Ned Leeds said.
"What? No, of course not." Betty said.
"Really? Not even with that Parker guy you hang around?" Ned Leeds said.
"Peter? No, he's just a friend." Betty said.
"Close friends from what I can tell." Ned Leeds said.
"Ned, I admit that you're a good looking guy but I'm not looking for a boyfriend." Betty said.
"Oh... okay, if you're not into guys then I'll understand." Ned Leeds said.
"I'm not a lesbian... Okay, months ago I was kidnapped by a big black monster that looked like a black suited Spider-Man. It took me a while to recover from that nightmare." Betty said.
"I'm sorry... I didn't know." Ned Leeds said.
"I hope that you can respect my decision." Betty said.
"Of course... take as much time as you want." Ned Leeds said.
Betty can't deny that she finds him attractive and yet so mysterious. Betty couldn't tell Ned that Peter is more than just a friend, that they had a certain moment together at one time.
At ESU labs, Michael Morbius is organizing the lab and putting all of Connors stuff inside the box for Martha to pick up.
He went inside the office and looked through the desk. He stumbled upon a hard drive that labeled Project Regeneration.
He plugged the drive into the computer and found that it's password protected.
"Password?... Martha!" Morbius types.
He typed in the password and it opened.
"So predictable Curt." Morbius said.
He looked at the research that Connors was performing on the three legged mice, using lizard DNA in hopes of passing the ability of regeneration to another species.
He could see the promises that Curt's research could bring, he decided to copy the contents of the drive. He brought his own drive and plugged it in. He pressed copy as the drive cloned the data from the other drive.
At the apartment Peter accessed the public records archive to find the map of the sewage system of Manhattan.
"Did you find anything?" Mary Jane said.
"Maybe... this right here is the map of water flow underneath Manhattan. Right here is the water flow that Gwen and I found." Peter said.
"Right, though the path forks, so it's not much to go on." Gwen said.
"Yeah, but one of the flows heads straight towards the Greenwich Village area." Peter said.
"Greenwich Village? That's where his family lives." Gwen said.
"A part of him is still human, maybe he couldn't stay away, he could watch them from a distance." Peter said.
"It's worth a shot, shall we go and see if he's around?" Gwen said.
"Why not, let's go." Peter said.
Peter and Gwen put on their masks and head for Greenwich Village.
Betty and Ned ended up at a bar after the interview.
"Here's to you Betty Brant, the reporter." Ned Leeds said.
"Cheers." Betty said.
Betty and Ned held up their drinks and drank it down.
"So who are you really, Edward Leeds?" Betty smiled.
"Not a lot of people called me Edward. I'm just a photographer who is new to the Daily Bugle. Now I'm here taking with a beautiful reporter." Ned Leeds said.
Betty smiled. "Stop it... you have any family?"
"I only had my mom, she's a great woman who took care of me since I was born." Ned Leeds said.
"And your father? Did you knew him?" Betty said.
"My dad is a... complicated subject." Ned Leeds said.
"I'm sorry... didn't mean to pry out some feelings." Betty said.
"It's okay. You got family too?" Ned Leeds said.
"Got a mother and brother back home in Philadelphia, my dad died when I was a little girl." Betty said.
"I'm sorry." Ned Leeds said.
"Don't worry, I got over it." Betty said.
"So what brings a Philly girl like you here in the NYC?" Ned Leeds said.
"I have a knack for curiosity, I could sniff out a story back in my old school. I worked for the school paper and after high school i thought I could find my true calling here. I got a job as a secretary at the Bugle until they promoted me to reporter." Betty said.
"You certainly know what you're doing when you have that interview. You handled it like a pro, you've got the qualities." Ned Leeds said.
"Tell me what qualifies do I have?" Betty said.
"You're resourceful... confident... and beautiful." Ned Leeds said.
Betty smiled as his words as Ned said good things about her.
"So what now?" Ned Leeds said.
"Pay the check." Betty smiled.
Later they ended up at Ned's apartment as they banged against the door kissing each other. Ned opened the door as they entered still kissing. They arrived at the bedroom as Betty removes his shirt and he got his hands at the bottom of hers and pulled it over. Betty pushed him on the bed as she climbed on as they kiss each other.
Kraven is at his hideout as Calypso came to welcome back her love.
"How is the hunt my love?" Calypso said.
"He got away, he's proven to be a bigger challenge." Kraven said.
"I'm amazed that you've survived against this creature, given last time we were here." Calypso said.
"This time will be different, I will not let anyone disgraced me ever again. I may have lost the Lizard but I got his scent. I was able to find a large amount of his scent and took what was his. I've already laid a trap and used the right bait to lure him in, he won't be able to resist it. He'll come and that's when I'll kill him." Kraven said.
Later Spider-Man and Ghost-Spider arrive near the residence of Curt Connors.
"Here we are, looks like he hasn't come by yet." Spider-Man said.
"So what do we do?" Ghost-Spider said.
"Now we wait." Spider-Man said.
"What if he doesn't come?" Ghost-Spider said.
"Bet ya 20 bucks that he'll come." Spider-Man said.
"You're on!" Ghost-Spider said.
An hour later, they stand outside as to wait for the lizard to appear, they had some Chinese food to eat on a stakeout. They eat with their mask half opened.
"Looks like he has come by yet, you ready to pay up?" Ghost-Spider said.
"Patiences... you can't always rush a stakeout, we can wait another hour, if he doesn't come, you win." Spider-Man said.
They look down until they see a manhole opening up.
"Look." Spider-Man said.
They see the Lizard climbing out as he quietly sneaks in the night to avoid attention.
"Told you." Spider-Man said.
Spider-Man had his hand open as Ghost-Spider pays him 20 bucks, he won the bet. The pull up their mask and jumps down. The Lizard stopped as Spider-Man and Ghost-Spider are in front of him.
"Spider-Man!" Lizard said.
"Easy Dr. Connors, we're not here to fight!" Spider-Man said.
"You're not." Lizard said.
"I promise we're not, we know that Kraven attacked you and is hunting you down. We can protect you." Spider-Man said.
"Why are you so interested in protecting a monster like me?" Lizard said.
"Because you're not a monster, you're still human inside. And because I made a promise to your son to bring you home." Spider-Man said.
"Billy... is he alright?" Lizard said.
"He misses you everyday, so does your wife. Why didn't you come home after Venom was stopped?" Spider-Man said.
"Because a lot of people died because of my creation, my experiment destroyed a lot of lives, including my own. How could I return home after what I've done. It's better that they don't have me in their lives anymore, it's better this way." Lizard said.
"I know how it's feels to carry the guilt of your mistakes, I've made my own and it cost me the live of someone I loved. I can't do anything to change that, that's why they're called mistakes, so that we learn from them, so we can be better, so we can move forward. If you want to atone for your mistakes then stop running and come home." Spider-Man said.
"What if they see me differently?" Lizard said.
"They love you so much and they still know you as the man they still love." Spider-Man said.
Ghost-Spider noticed that the door is partially open.
"Hey, has that door been opened this entire time?" Ghost-Spider said.
Spider-Man and Lizard noticed that too. They all rushed inside and see that the place has been emptied.
"Martha! Billy!" Lizard said.
Ghost-Spider sees an arrow on the wall with a note.
"Spidey! Over here!" Ghost-Spider said.
Spider-Man pulled the arrow and read the note.
"What is it?" Lizard said.
Spider-Man reads the letter. "Lizard or Dr. Connors if you prefer, know that I have your wife and son. If you want them back safely, come to Central Park and come alone. Signed Kraven the Hunter."
"He came after me and he took my family. The Lizard has done nothing but brought them trouble. This is all my fault." Lizard said.
"Calm down, they're still alive, he took them to use as bait, it's a trap." Spider-Man said.
"How do you know?" Ghost-Spider said.
"He's done it before, he took someone I care about to get me to come. He rigged traps around the park. It's the same M.O." Spider-Man said.
"Doesn't matter if it's a trap, I can't let them die because of me! I'm going!" Lizard said.
"You realize that there is a chance that Kraven will kill you if you go." Spider-Man said.
"It's chance I'll have to take, they're my family." Lizard said.
"Alright, but you're it going alone, he doesn't know that we're working together. That could give us the advantage." Spider-Man said.
At Central Park, Martha and Billy are locked in a cage as Kraven prep his arrows for the Lizard.
"Why are you doing this? What have we done to you?" Martha said.
"You've done nothing, this isn't about you but your husband." Kraven said.
"Curt?" Martha said.
"Yes, the Lizard." Kraven said.
"How did you know he's the Lizard?" Martha said.
"I recognize his scent when I first came hunting him. It was a matter of finding his scent, as luck would have it, it led me to you." Kraven said.
"So you're willing to us, his wife and his son to get to him. Do you have anyone, any family?" Martha said.
"Believe it or not, I did, I had a wife, had two children, a son and a daughter. I've loved them until my wife couldn't stand me hunting and putting my pride above my family. She left and took my children with her. I continue hunting, working through the loneliness that I've lived with until I meet her, my Calypso. She accepted me for who I am and stood by me, we fell in love and traveled together." Kraven said.
"Did you ever seek out your children?" Martha said.
"Years later I came across them and they were all grown up, teenagers. I thought that they recognize me and welcome me back but as soon as they see me, all they saw is a stranger, someone they don't recognize. My wife chose to have them forget me, she never showed them a picture of me with her on the day my daughter was born. It was then that I had nothing to come back to." Kraven said.
"You could've just tried to fight to get back into their lives, tried harder." Martha said.
"It's too late." Kraven said.
"It's never too late." Martha said.
"Martha! Billy!" Lizard said.
Kraven turns around and see the Lizard.
Martha heard that voice. "Curt."
"Daddy?" Billy said.
"It's me Billy, I'm here." Lizard said.
"I see that there is something human inside you after all. Don't worry, I plan to let them go after I'm done with you." Kraven draws a arrow and shoots.
Kraven shot the Lizard with an arrow, injuring him.
"No! Curt!" Martha screamed.
The Lizard got up as he pulls the arrow out and heals his skin.
"You regenerate fast, this will be a challenge." Kraven said.
Kraven draws two arrows and shot him again.
"Stop it! Leave him alone!" Martha screamed.
The Lizard got back up again and regenerates himself.
"Do what you want, as long as my family is safe!" Lizard said.
"I wonder if your heart can regenerate after being pierced. Why don't we find out?" Kraven said.
Kraven draws an arrow and aims it at Lizard's heart.
"Billy, close your eyes, don't look!" Martha said.
Martha watched in tears as the man she loves in a form of the Lizard is about to be killed. Kraven draws back more as to increase the shot. He's about to shot until Spider-Man came in and kicked Kraven back, saving Lizard.
"Spider-Man!" Martha said.
They then see Ghost-Spider out the cage door.
"And Ghost-Spider, hold on." Ghost-Spider said.
Ghost-Spider pulled off the cage door and freed Martha and Billy.
Kraven got up. "Spider-Man!"
"Ghost-Spider! Get them out of here!" Spider-Man said.
Ghost-Spider took Martha and Billy out of danger as Spider-Man faces off against Kraven again.
"Spider-Man, I've waited a long time for this." Kraven said.
"Kidnapping a woman and her son is very low even for you." Spider-Man said.
"Since that humiliating defeat you gave me, I've been disgraced and dishonored as a hunter. Now life has gave me another to correct my mistake." Kraven said.
"I've beaten you twice before and I'll defeat you again." Spider-Man said.
Kraven pull out his machete. "Let's finish what we've started last time."
Kraven charges in and swings his machete, Spider-Man dodge it with his reflexes. Kraven swings again until Spider-Man kicked the wrist and disarmed his machete.
"I'm unimpressed, you were aggressive the last time we've fought." Kraven said.
"Yeah well, I was a different Spider-Man." Spider-Man said.
Kraven throws a smoke bomb and covered the area in smoke as Spider-Man is blind. His spider sense alerted him as he duck down and dodge a bola that Kraven threw.
The smoke started to clear out as he see Kraven shooting arrows at him. Spider-Man kept jumping and dodging arrows.
"Not bad but you're no Hawkeye, he never misses." Spider-Man said.
Kraven shoots again as Spider-Man ran and dodged the arrows, he jumped up and wrapped his legs around his head and flipped him over. He got Kraven trapped and has the advantage.
"Goodnight Kraven!" Spider-Man said.
Spider-Man punched him in the head, Kraven got knocked out cold. He webs him up for good measure. He went up to the Lizard and sees if he's alright.
"Dr. Connors... are you okay?" Spider-Man said.
"Yeah... one of the perks of having a healing factor, that counts for something." Lizard said.
Lizard turns around and see Ghost-Spider brought back Martha and Billy.
"Sorry... they wouldn't leave him, not this time." Ghost-Spider said.
Martha and Billy walk up to him.
"Curt." Martha said.
"Martha... I didn't want you to see me like this." Lizard said.
"It doesn't matter, you're still the man I married, the father of our son." Martha said.
Billy walked foward and has his hand reach out, Lizard reached out his hand and took his son's.
"Daddy." Billy teared.
Lizard bend down and hugged his son.
"I miss you, son." Lizard said.
"I missed you too. Come home." Billy said.
"I don't know if I can. Not like... this." Lizard shows his form.
"Oh! I forgot." Spider-Man pulled something out and hands it to Lizard. "Here."
"What is it?" Lizard said.
"The cure to the Lizard formula, I had it saved up in case we find you. I thought you should do the honors." Spider-Man said.
Lizard took the cure in his hands as he decided to use it.
"Here we go!" Lizard said.
He injected the cure into his heart as the cure did its work, his face began to change, the scales slowly turns to human skin, his right arm shrinks back. The Lizard finally turn back into Dr. Curtis Connors.
"Curt... you're back." Martha said.
His left hand touched his face as he sees that he's back to being human. He smiled as he finally back to normal.
"Daddy." Billy smiled.
"Come here!" Connors smiled.
Martha and Billy hugged Dr. Connors as he is enjoying being reunited with his family.
"Anyone up for Chinese?" Connors said.
"Yeah, you might need a shower first, like ten showers, you stink." Spider-Man said.
Curt smelled the clothes he wore these past months, he smiled and laughed. Spider-Man and Ghost-Spider are glad that they reunited a family after so long.
At the Bugle the next day, Peter got to read the story that Betty wrote. Today's paper is titled 'Kraven finally locked up', Peter turned to page four, he reads 'ESU scientist found alive and well'.
"How did you like the story?" Betty said.
"You definitely have the talent, you're a gifted reporter." Peter said.
"Thanks... means a lot coming from you." Betty said.
"You seemed livelier than usual, something I should know about?" Peter said.
"Nope... I should get going, so much work to do." Betty said.
"Are you gonna tell me how the interview at Oscorp went?" Peter said.
"You're gonna have to read it in the paper like everyone else." Betty said.
"Oh that how it is?" Peter smiled.
"Oh that how it is!" Betty smiled.
Betty went to work at her desk as Ned came by.
"How is the reporter doing?" Ned Leeds said.
"I'm doing fine Mr. Leeds." Betty said.
"Are we ever gonna talk it, last night?" Ned Leeds said.
"Talk about what?" Betty smiled.
"Right... see you later?" Ned Leeds said.
"Yeah... see you later." Betty said.
"Okay." Ned Leeds said.
"Okay." Betty said.
Ned left as Betty smiled and is happy, she and Ned had a moment last night.
Peter and Gwen are at ESU lab after school as Dr. Connors came by and see his old lab.
"Micheal... it's been so long!" Connors said.
"Curt, I can't believe that you're back." Morbius smiled.
Michael and Connors hugged each other.
"Thank you for carrying on." Connors said.
"I just kept it fresh for you till you got back." Morbius said,
"Actually I was hoping that you can take over my post." Connors said.
"Dr. Connors... what are you saying?" Peter said.
"I'm leaving, me and my family are moving to Florida to start over." Connors said.
"I didn't know that, it's gonna be sad not having you around." Gwen said.
"I love teaching, I love been a scientist, but Martha and Billy... they're my life. One day when you guys have kids of your own... you'll understand." Connors said.
"We're gonna miss you." Peter smiled.
"I'll miss you both, you're my greatest students. I know that you can learn more from Michael, he's brilliant." Connors said.
Peter and Gwen both hugged Dr. Connors one last time before he leaves.
"Curt, I got your stuff all packed up and ready." Morbius said.
"Thank you, anyone want to help? I'm an arm short." Connors said.
"Yeah, I got it." Peter picked up the box.
Peter and Gwen followed Dr. Connors as he leaves the lab. Morbius went to his new office and opened up his computer and checks the data he got about Connors research, though he decided to try an alternative solution. He looked up vampire bats and focus on that subject.
At the underwater prison in the ocean called the Raft as S.H.I.E.L.D. agents escorts Kraven to his cell.
"Alright inmate, in you go!"
Kraven enters his cell as he is locked up and sees Doctor Octopus, Scorpion, Vulture, Shocker, Sandman, and Rhino each locked up in their own cells.
He sits down and pulls out a picture that he carried with him always. It's an old photo of himself in his youth with his wife Sasha and their two year old son Alexei and their newly born daughter Anastasia.
"I miss you both." Kraven teared in his eyes.
He's now locked up in a cell for his crimes, away from Calypso, away from his children. He now has his regrets about his choices.
