Tarantula
At night at the docks of New York, a cargo freighter came in and docked. There are men with guns unloading the containers with the crane.
One of the containers got lowered to the ground as the two henchmen opened it up and pulled out a barrel.
"Let's open it."
They opened the barrels and sees the drugs that came in from Delvadia.
"Let the boss know that the cargo is here. Let's load it up onto the truck!"
The henchmen loaded the barrels onto the truck as to have it ready.
Unknown to them, a mother and her eight year old daughter stowed away on the freighter.
"Let's go quietly Jacinda." Ximena said in Spanish.
"Yes mom." Jacinda said in Spanish.
They sneak through using the containers for cover. One of the guards came by and flashed a flashlight at them.
"Hey you! What are doing here?!"
"Jacinda run!" Ximena said in Spanish.
Ximena and Jacinda ran away from the docks as they been spotted.
"We got stowaways. Get them!"
They chased after them as they reach the city though it's midnight and there are very few people in the streets.
Ximena and Jacinda hides in the alley behind the car as they sees Tarantula's men everywhere. Ximena sees a subway entrance that is close though the men have eyes on it.
"Jacinda, listen to me. I'm going to run and draw them away. You run to the subway and get on a train."Ximena said in Spanish.
"Mama, please don't leave me." Jacinda teared in Spanish.
"I'm going to be okay, you must save yourself. I'll find you when this is over, I promise." Ximena said in Spanish.
"I love you." Jacinda said in Spanish.
"I love you Jacinda." Ximena said in Spanish.
Ximena left Jacinda behind as she came out of the alley and reveals herself to them.
"There she is, get her!"
Ximena ran away and draw the attention of the thugs chasing her and her daughter. Jacinda looked and sees that they got distracted as she ran to the subway entrance. One of the thugs see the girl running down.
"Hey the girl is in the subway!"
The thug chases after her as Jacinda runs down the station and ran past a policemen. The policemen tried to help out the girl but he sees someone chasing her with a gun.
"Hey stop right there!"
The thug shot the cop without hesitation as he kept chasing after Jacinda. She sees the train and runs towards it. The thug tries to catch up as he got close to getting her, she managed to reach the train as the doors closes, he slams his fist at the door in anger.
"Damn it!"
The train moves out of the station and goes down the tunnel with Jacinda on board. Jacinda is safe for now, but she's still being hunted by the Tarantula and his men. She was so scared and she got worried about her mother, she wondered if she'd escaped and that she's okay.
Meanwhile back at the station, one of the thugs called his boss.
"Jefe, she got away."
"Understood, send your men throughout the city and find them. I want them back alive. I'll be in the city soon."
The thug left the tunnel as the terrorist leader Tarantula is on his way to New York for Ximena and Jacinda.
In Spanish Harlem, there's a gang that sells out Delvadian drugs to customers that wants to get high.
"Who wants to party!"
"Ahem!" Spider-Man said.
The gang and customers see Spider-Man and Ghost-Spider above the alley.
"You know that it's a school night kids, we're gonna have to call your parents!" Spider-Man said.
"It's Spider-Man!"
"And Ghost-Spider, in case you're wondering." Ghost-Spider said.
Spider-Man and Ghost-Spider jumped down and engaged the gang, Ghost-Spider went after the customers as Spider-Man fights the gang. He has no difficulty taking them on alone. He jumped up and does a scissor kick, taking two out as one is left holding a aluminum bat.
"Are we playing baseball without the ball?" Spider-Man jokes.
The gang leader swing the bat and Spider-Man ducked down and got up.
"Why so serious?" Spider-Man jokes.
He ducked again and avoided another swing.
"Tell me... are you really the Batman?" Spider-Man jokes.
The gang leader swings until Spider-Man caught the bat in his hand and pulled it off. The gang leader tries to make a run for it until Spider-Man tossed the bat and hits the gang leader as he fell down.
"Strike Three! You're out!" Spider-Man jokes.
Spider-Man approach the gang leader and sees the new drugs that hit the streets in the past weeks.
"Between us girl... where did you get these drugs?" Spider-Man said.
"I can't say, these guys don't mess around. Cuff me and take me to jail."
Spider-Man could tell that this guy is scared of whoever is bringing these drugs to New York. He sees Ghost-Spider coming in with the customers that we're gonna buy these drugs.
"You guys realize that these can kill you, right?" Spider-Man said.
"Come on, can't we work something out?"
"Ah, these guys are taken down and their drugs are confiscated and you've been caught buying, I'd say things are already worked out. You know what comes next, go directly to jail, do not pass go, do not collect 200 dollars." Spider-Man said.
Later the NYPD arrested the gang and their customers, they taken another dealer off the streets and confiscated narcotics.
"That went well." Ghost-Spider said.
"For now, we still don't have the supplier and they'll still bring in more drugs and many people will get killed." Spider-Man said.
"I thought that with Kingpin and most of the crime bosses locked up, things will get better." Ghost-Spider said.
"When we put away all of New York's scum, we left a power vacuum opened and every new criminals got the opportunity to claim a piece of territory for their business. We're here to keep clean up this city and that's what we're gonna do." Spider-Man said.
"I gotta get going, my dad has a new curfew for me. I need to get back home or I'm grounded." Ghost-Spider said.
"Okay, take care." Spider-Man said.
"You too." Ghost-Spider said.
Ghost-Spider swings on home as Spider-Man did the same.
Peter returned home and see Mary Jane still asleep until she woke up.
"Another one Tiger?" Mary Jane said.
"Yep, the fourth one this week. Still no closer to containing this, eight people have died, three were teenagers." Peter said.
"You'll get them, I know it. But for now, gets some sleep." Mary Jane said.
Peter climbed into the bed with Mary Jane. He felt relieved when it comes to her, she's his center, she makes him whole. He closes his eyes and sleeps with Mary Jane in his arms.
In the morning as May arrived early at F.E.A.S.T. where she works at, she unlocked the door and enters the shelter as it's empty for the day. He phone rang as its Martin Li, the shelter's founder.
"Mr. Li, it's been awhile since you've called. We hardly see you around." May said.
"I'm sorry, but I'm still in Hong Kong attend to my business overseas. I trust the shelter is doing fine." Martin Li said.
"Don't worry, it's still thriving these past months and it'll continue to improve to help so many lives." May said.
"I knew that I made the right choice of picking you to run the shelter in my absence." Martin Li said.
"I'm honored. Don't worry, this place will be waiting for you once you come back." May said.
"Can't wait, listen I gotta go. I return to New York as soon as I'm done. Take care of the shelter, Mrs. Parker." Martin Li said.
"I will, bye." May said as she handed up.
She hear a noise from the kitchen as the shelter is supposed to be empty for the day.
"Anyone here?!" May said.
She found a broom nearby and grabbed it in case it's necessary. She opened the kitchen door and looked inside slowly. She sees the refrigerator door open and the pot and pan on the floor. She got a close look at the corner and sees a little girl hiding.
"How did you get in here?" May said.
May got a little close until the girl got spooked and pulled back.
"It's okay, I'm not gonna hurt you." May said.
"I don't want trouble! I'm just hiding and hungry." Jacinda said in Spanish.
"You speak Spanish?" May said.
"I don't know what you're saying?" Jacinda said in Spanish.
May can't understand what she's saying and that she might be a runaway of some kind. She pulled her phone and dialed Peter.
Peter came out of the shower, he wrapped a towel on his waist and brushes his teeth. He drank some water and spits out. Mary Jane shuts off the shower and grabbed a tower as she wrapped it around her body and joined Peter.
"Got any classes today, Tiger?" Mary Jane said
"Nope, it's my day off. Lately the Dr. Morbius has been too busy with something in the lab, but he's okay. How about you, Ms. Supermodel?" Peter smiled.
"It's my day off too Tiger. What you want to do?" Mary Jane said.
"Not sure, any suggestions?" Peter said.
Mary Jane got her hands on the towel and dropped it down. Peter smiled as he likes what Mary Jane is thinking, he got his hands on the towel around his waist and drops it down. He and Mary Jane hugged and kiss each other as thing got wild until Peter's phone rang, it Aunt May.
"Bad timing Tiger." Mary Jane smiled.
Peter answered "Hey Aunt May."
"Peter, is this a bad time?" May said.
"When it comes to you, it's never a bad time." Peter said.
"Good, because I need your help." May said.
Peter has no idea what May needs from him but it must be important for her to call him.
"I'll be there." Peter hangs up.
"What is it, Tiger?" Mary Jane said.
"Honestly... I'm not sure yet. I should get going." Peter said.
"I'm coming too." Mary Jane said.
Peter and Mary Jane dressed up and left the apartment.
At F.E.A.S.T., Peter and Mary Jane sees a eight year girl here eating wheatcakes and eggs, she's eating too fast as looked hungry.
"I'm guessing that she hasn't had a decent meal." Mary Jane said.
"Who is she May?" Peter said.
"I don't know, she speaks Spanish and doesn't understand English from what I gathered. That's why I called you, hoping that you can put your Spanish classes to good use." May said.
"I got this." Peter said.
Peter sat down at the chair across from the girl. Peter can speak Spanish since high school which came in handy when he became Spider-Man.
"How are the wheatcakes?" Peter speaks Spanish.
"It's good. I love them." Jacinda smiled in Spanish.
"I love them too, my aunt makes the best wheatcakes there is. My name is Peter Parker... and you are?" Peter speaks Spanish.
"Jacinda." Jacinda introduced herself in Spanish.
"Nice to meet you Jacinda. Why are you here? Where's your parents?" Peter speaks Spanish.
"I have my mom, but she's missing." Jacinda speaks Spanish.
"Did something happened to her?" Peter speaks Spanish.
"We were in danger, she told me to run." Jacinda speaks Spanish.
"If she's in trouble, we need to call the police." Peter speaks Spanish.
"No... Mom told me not to go to the police." Jacinda speaks Spanish.
"Are you undocumented?" Peter speaks Spanish.
Jacinda nods her head.
"Where are you from?" Peter speaks Spanish.
"Delvadia." Jacinda speaks Spanish.
"Delvadia? That's a long way from New York, how did you get here?" Peter speaks Spanish.
"Mom took me to Brazil and we stowaway on a boat." Jacinda speaks Spanish.
"Why did you leave your home?" Peter speaks Spanish.
"He's coming for us." Jacinda speaks Spanish.
"Who's coming?" Peter speaks Spanish.
"The Tarantula." Jacinda speaks Spanish.
Peter is confused by the name Tarantula. It's a hairy spider but she could be talking about something else or someone.
"Who's the Tarantula?" Peter speaks Spanish.
"He's a bad man, mom took me to save me from him." Jacinda speaks Spanish.
"Do you know where your mother would go?" Peter speaks Spanish.
"No, she didn't get the chance." Jacinda speaks Spanish.
"That's okay, we'll find her. I promise. Enjoy those wheatcakes." Peter speaks Spanish.
Jacinda smiled as she continues to eat the wheatcakes. Peter got up and talked with May and Mary Jane in private.
"What did she say?" May said.
"Her name is Jacinda, she's from Delvadia." Peter said.
"Delvadia? The country in South America?" Mary Jane said.
"That's it. She and her mother managed to get out of Delvadia and made it to Brazil, they stowed aboard a ship and made it here to New York." Peter said.
"So she's an undocumented international. Why did she and her mother runaway?" May said.
"She said that she's ran away from the Tarantula." Peter said.
"Tarantula? A spider?" Mary Jane said.
"I don't think that she meant an actual spider, it could be a name of someone." Peter said.
"Should we call the police and have them find her mother?" May said.
"No, that's not a good idea. Even though she and her mother ran away from danger, she came into this country illegally. If we get the police involved, we be drawing the attention of immigration, she and her mother will be deported." Peter said.
"Then what do you suggest?" Mary Jane said.
"Can Spider-Man help?" May said.
Peter and Mary Jane looked at May who suggested Spider-Man.
"You know him well, you can ask him to help Jacinda and her mother." May said.
"I might be able to reach him and ask him." Peter said.
"Great, I'll look over Jacinda as you make the call." May said.
May left Peter and Mary Jane alone.
"Does she seem strange to you Tiger?" Mary Jane said.
"What do you mean?" Peter said.
"She asked me the other day that I knew the kind of man you really are. Do you think that she knows about your secret? She know that you're Spider-Man?" Mary Jane said.
"I've done everything I can to keep my identity a secret from everyone. How could she know?" Peter said.
"Don't know, just a feeling." Mary Jane said.
Peter pulls out his phone and access the secret app that S.H.I.E.L.D. placed for the Avengers.
"What are you doing Tiger?" Mary Jane said.
"I'm looking up the name Tarantula through S.H.I.E.L.D.'s database." Peter said.
Peter looked the name Tarantula and got the result.
"Got it, his real name is Captain Anton Miguel Rodriquez, Ex-Delvadian Army, Special Forces. He was a member of their military until he and his followers started a rebellion, he took on the name Tarantula. He's responsible for a number of extrajudicial killings, including bombing a US embassy last year, killing a number of US citizens and Delvadian alike." Peter said.
"So he's a terrorist." Mary Jane said.
"Yes, he also runs a drug trafficking operation that funds his rebellion. He's the one who bringing the drugs to New York." Peter said.
"He's also a drug lord. He's selling poisons to the people of New York to pay for his cause." Mary Jane said.
"If he's after Jacinda and her mother, must be for a reason. We need to find her mother before he does." Peter said.
"Agreed. Should we bring Gwen into this?" Mary Jane said.
"No, she's still in school. We'll call her later after she's done with school. You and I will go around and find her mother." Peter said.
"Okay, we need a name and a picture of her. Let's ask Jacinda." Mary Jane said.
Peter and Mary Jane went to talk with Jacinda as she's still eating.
"Jacinda, what's your mother's name?" Peter speaks Spanish.
"Ximena." Jacinda speaks Spanish.
"Ximena. Do you have a picture of her?" Peter speaks Spanish.
Jacinda shows them a picture of herself and her mother Ximena. Peter and Mary Jane pulled out their phones and took pictures of Ximena to show around.
"Thank you, we're gonna find your mom." Peter speaks Spanish.
"Promise?" Jacinda speaks Spanish.
"I promise." Peter smiled and speaks Spanish.
"Let's go Tiger." Mary Jane said.
Peter and Mary Jane left the shelter as they go to find Ximena and reunite her with Jacinda.
At the docks as a helicopter came in landing, the Delvadian terrorists gathered around to welcome their leader. Anton Miguel Rodriquez AKA Tarantula is here in New York. He leads the Delvadian terrorist group against the dictator who rules his country. He is a master martial artist trained in Capoeira, Boxing, Vale Tudo, Taekwondo, Kali, Ninjutsu, and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. He's dressed in red suit that shows a black spider and wears a black bandanna mask. He's equipped with stingers on his arms and feet.
"Welcome Tarantula."
"Any news on Jacinda and Ximena?" Tarantula said.
"Not yet, but they're still here. We're sure of it."
"Good, let's go hunting." Tarantula said.
Tarantula and his men head for the city as to find Jacinda and Ximena.
Peter and Mary Jane when around the area that's near the docks. They went around restaurants to stores in hopes of finding a lead. Peter is at a Hispanic restaurant as he held his phone showing a picture of Ximena.
"Did you see this woman?" Peter said.
"No."
"Are you sure?" Peter said.
"I never seen this woman."
"Thanks." Peter said.
Peter left the restaurant as he see Mary Jane getting out of the store.
"Anything?" Peter said.
"No, but one of the customers asked me to sign her magazine with my picture." Mary Jane said.
"Okay... she's on the run and she can't go to the police. She has no one here and she's homeless, where would she go?" Peter said.
They look around and see a church nearby.
"She might go seeking sanctuary." Peter said.
The arrived outside the church until Peter pulled Mary Jane as he spot some suspicious individuals outside with a Range Rover.
"What is it?" Mary Jane said.
"Two Hispanics driving a Range Rover looking around having their hands near their jackets. Wait here." Peter said.
Peter changed into his suit as he left Mary Jane behind as she arrived at the church window and sees some men, one of them is Tarantula himself.
"It's him." Spider-Man said.
Inside the church Tarantula speaks to the priest.
"I know that she came here looking for sanctuary, where is she?" Tarantula said.
The priest said nothing as to keep Ximena safe.
"You think that God will keep you safe here, from me, you're sadly mistaken." Tarantula said.
"Do not speak blasphemy! You shall be punished for your action, he'll see to it."
Tarantula pulls out his stinger as he is ready to kill.
"Speak your last words Father, while you still can." Tarantula said.
Two of Tarantula's men got pulled up as Spider-Man came jumping down into the church.
"Run Father!" Spider-Man said.
The priest ran away as Spider-Man and Tarantula are face to face.
"So you're Spider-Man." Tarantula said.
"In the flesh, you must me the Tarantula. You're the one who's bringing drugs into my city. People died because of the stuff you sell." Spider-Man said.
"You think that running a revolution is cheap? There are always sacrifices for the greater good." Tarantula said.
"You mean evil, some of those who OD'ed on your stuff were teenagers. You have a lot to answer for." Spider-Man said.
"Bring it!" Tarantula said.
Tarantula uses his reflexes to fight off Spider-Man as Spidey himself matches him as he too is a master of Capoeira.
"A fellow Capoeirista, one of the many things we have in common." Tarantula said.
"We're not the same! I do what right for everyone, you're just out for yourself." Spider-Man said.
Tarantula does the kicks as the stingers popped out as Spider-Man sensed the stingers coming. He managed to avoid every sting Tarantula throws at him.
"I don't have time for this! I'm here to find my wife and daughter and you're standing in my way!" Tarantula said.
"Wait! Jacinda is your kid?" Spider-Man said.
"I will burn this city until I get my daughter back and kill anyone standing in my way. You've been warned." Tarantula said.
Tarantula throws a flashbang as Spider-Man got blinded and recovered his sight. Tarantula is already gone as Spider-Man is shocked to hear that Jacinda is the daughter of Tarantula.
The priest came out with Ximena who was offered sanctuary to her.
"You're Ximena, aren't you?" Spider-Man said.
"How do you know my name?" Ximena said.
"Your daughter sent me to find you." Spider-Man said.
"Jacinda! Is she okay?" Ximena said.
"Yeah, she's safe. I'll take you to her." Spider-Man said.
Ximena smiled as she hears that her daughter is fine.
At the shelter, Peter later changed out his suit and went to check on Jacinda and Ximena.
"You did it, you reunite a mother with her daughter." Mary Jane said.
"Yeah, but Tarantula is still out there and he's not giving up." Peter said.
"Can't believe that Ximena and Jacinda are his wife and daughter." Mary Jane said.
Mary Jane looked at them and it reminded her of herself and her mother.
"You okay MJ?" Peter said.
"Yeah... it's just that seeing them reminds me of..." Mary Jane said.
"Your dad?" Peter said.
"Yeah... when I was a child, my parents started fighting, my mother didn't like the way he treated us, he started to be verbally abusive, blaming us for his failures, until one day he slapped her. She couldn't take it, she took me and left. She took me to protect me, it was just the two of us. I understand why Ximena decided to take her daughter away from her father, she's protecting her from him." Mary Jane said.
"I'm sorry that was hard for you." Peter said.
"It's okay, I had my mom until she died, then Aunt Anna took me in. They both raised me and gave a happy life. I'm happy that they in my life, I'm most happiest when I'm with you." Mary Jane smiled.
"You make me so happy too, and I'm glad to have Uncle Ben and Aunt May raise me after my parents died. They kept me going but you're the one who makes whole, without you I'm nothing." Peter smiled.
"How romantic. I love you." Mary Jane smiled.
"I love you too." Peter smiled.
Peter and Mary Jane were about to kiss until May intervened.
"Hey! Not in front of the kid! Have some manners, you two." May said.
Peter and Mary Jane noticed Ximena and Jacinda looking at them and smiled.
"Sorry!" Peter said.
"Yuck!" Jacinda said in Spanish.
Peter giggled as Mary Jane is confused.
"What did she say?" Mary Jane said.
"Nothing." Peter said.
At the cargo freighter, Tarantula looked at a photo of himself with Ximena and Jacinda.
"Soon my daughter, we'll be together again." Tarantula said.
He puts away the photo as his men came back from the search.
"Anything?" Tarantula said.
"No, still no sign of your wife and your daughter."
"So you come back empty handed. How disappointing." Tarantula said.
"Not quite, while we went back and ask questions for them, turns out we weren't the only looking. At one of the store, this woman showed a picture of your wife and asked if they seen her."
The man show Tarantula a surveillance photo of Mary Jane.
"Locate her. We find her and we'll find them." Tarantula said.
"What about Spider-Man? He's still a problem."
"Don't worry, I got something planned." Tarantula said.
At the shelter, Gwen came in after school as she got the text from Peter.
"Gwen, glad that you made it." Peter said.
"Of course. Is that them?" Gwen said.
"Yes, Jacinda and Ximena. Tarantula is looking for them, he's the one who's bringing drugs into the states." Peter said.
"This guy thinks that he's Pablo Escobar or something?" Gwen said.
"Probably, the point is is that we have an opportunity to cut off the head of the snake, we take him down and we stop his smuggling operation here." Peter said.
"I'm in, if it'll save lives." Gwen said.
Mary Jane came in and sees Peter and Gwen.
"Glad that you're both here, you need to see this." Mary Jane held up her phone.
A video of Tarantula is uploaded on the internet and news networks.
"People of New York, I am Tarantula, leader of the Delvadian rebel movement. This a message to Ximena and Jacinda, if you don't want any innocent blood shed here, turn yourselves to me and I'll leave this city and its people alone. You have 12 hours until city hall goes boom. There will be blood, you decide." Tarantula said.
"He's threatening the city and trying to force their hand." Peter said.
"I should go." Ximena said.
"Ximena you can't give in." May said.
"You don't know him like I do, he killed innocents in the name of his cause, he will kill everyone until he gets what he wants." Ximena said.
"Ximena, you need to stay here and be with your daughter. Spider-Man can stop this." Peter said.
"Are you sure?" Ximena said.
"I'm sure, no one dies this day." Peter said.
"Okay, we'll stay." Ximena said.
"Gwen, let's go." Peter said.
"Right behind you." Gwen said.
Peter and Gwen left for city hall as Ximena and Jacinda are left behind with May and Mary Jane.
Spider-Man and Ghost-Spider arrives outside of city hall as NYPD bomb squad is there already, they spot Captain Stacy on the ground. They jumped down and meet up with him.
"Spider-Man, Ghost-Spider, glad that you could make it. We evacuated the building and sent in the bomb squad, but so far nothing. We got to assume that they're bringing the bomb by car." George Stacy said.
"We'll be on lookout, see if anything pops up." Spider-Man said.
Later as night came Spider-Man and Ghost-Spider are on the rooftop watching around city hall.
"So far nothing, it's been almost 12 hours and still nothing." Ghost-Spider said.
They see a white van coming in.
"I see a van coming in, one driver." Spider-Man said.
The NYPD sees the van coming and they react.
"Stop!" George Stacy said.
The van is still in motion, some officers throw in some shots as it stopped in its tracks. George Stacy and his men approached the van as meets the driver. Spider-Man and Ghost-Spider jumped down and checks the van.
"Who are you?" George Stacy said.
"Just a messenger, I got the paperwork to bring in a new order of toilet paper."
"Stay here and unlock the back door." George Stacy said.
George went to the back door and Spider-Man stopped him.
"Why don't you let us check first, if you don't mind?" Spider-Man said.
George Stacy stepped back and let's Spider-Man checks the back. He opened it and sees that it's just toilet paper in the back. The dogs from the bomb squad sniffs around the van and they didn't bark as they couldn't find any bomb.
"Paperwork checks out, it's legit." George Stacy said.
"The deadline has passed and there's still no explosion. Something is not right." Spider-Man said.
"If there's no bomb then why send a warning? What's the purpose?" Ghost-Spider said.
Spider-Man figured it out. "There was no bomb, they wanted us here to keep us distracted."
"Then what's the target?" George Stacy said.
Spider-Man knows that they're here responding to fake bomb threat.
"It's them, they're the target." Spider-Man said.
"Who?" George Stacy said.
"His family, we need to go now!" Spider-Man said.
Spider-Man and Ghost-Spider race back to the shelter as Ximena and Jacinda are in danger.
Mary Jane came bringing a blanket to Jacinda and Ximena. Jacinda is already asleep.
"Here." Mary Jane hands the blanket.
"Thank you." Ximena said.
"It's a brave thing you did for your daughter, protecting her from her father who's a terrorist." Mary Jane said.
"Jacinda is a good girl, she deserves better than the life her father is living. Back then he was passionate about freeing his country but now he's lost sight of his goals and his cause eventually grew into terrorism." Ximena said.
"So you decided to runaway from home and risked reaching America in hopes of giving her a good life. My mother did the same for me, she was a brave woman." Mary Jane said.
"I'm sorry if this opens up old wounds for you." Ximena said.
"It's okay, I promise that you'll be safe her from your husband." Mary Jane said.
"Don't make promises you can't keep." Tarantula said.
Mary Jane, Ximena, and Jacinda are surprised by the appearance of Tarantula.
"Ximena... Jacinda... time to go home." Tarantula smiled.
Mary Jane stepped in and protects Ximena and Jacinda. Mary Jane has some training in Boxing, Wing Chun, Krav Maga, and Taekwondo. She hopes that it's enough to hold off against Tarantula.
"You really think that you can stop me?" Tarantula said.
"I won't let you take them, you have to get through me." Mary Jane said.
"Very well 'Chica'." Tarantula said.
Mary Jane throws a punch but Tarantula duck and sweep her off her feet. She got up and does a roundhouse kick until he dodge it with his reflexes and flips, he kicked her in the head as she got beaten.
"You shouldn't have gotten in my way, too bad you won't live to regret it." Tarantula said.
Tarantula pulls out his stinger as he is ready to kill Mary Jane until Jacinda came running to Mary Jane.
"Please don't, I'll go!" Jacinda said in Spanish.
"Not in front of her, please!" Ximena said
Tarantula looked down at his daughter pleading with him to spar Mary Jane.
"Very well." Tarantula said.
Ximena and Jacinda left with Tarantula willingly in exchange that he spars Mary Jane's life.
Later as Spider-Man and Ghost-Spider arrived at the shelter, Spider-Man ran up and sees Mary Jane in the floor, her face is injured from her fight from Tarantula.
"MJ! Are you alright?" Spider-Man said.
"I'm fine, but he took them. Tarantula took Jacinda and Ximena. I tried to stop them but he's overwhelmed me, I'm sorry Tiger." Mary Jane said.
"It's alright, I'm just glad that you're okay. I'm gonna get that bastard." Spider-Man said in not happy.
"He has his wife and daughter back, no doubt that he's going to head back into his country soon. Any ideas where he would go?" Ghost-Spider said.
"I talked with Ximena some more as she said that Tarantula would come into the country by cargo plane. No doubt that he'll try to fly out by air." Mary Jane said.
"We need to find out where he would fly out and fast." Spider-Man said.
Spider-Man and Ghost-Spider left the building as they start to figure out which airfield he'll take. He uses his app to find out any recent flights from Delvadia in the past months. He found one airfield that been used to for cargo planes from Delvadia.
"I found one airfield, it's private. It's in New Jersey." Spider-Man said.
"How do we get there in time?" Ghost-Spider said.
"You might want to call your dad for a ride." Spider-Man said.
Ghost-Spider is confused as to what Spider-Man means by ride.
Later as the Range Rover arrived at the airfield in New Jersey, Tarantula and his family got out as they see the cargo plane that Tarantula used to get into the country.
"Is everything ready for travel?" Tarantula said.
"It's all fueled up and ready."
"Good, time to get on board." Tarantula said.
Tarantula hears police sirens coming in.
"Time to take off now!" Tarantula said.
The cargo plane starts moving as it reached the runway. A helicopter comes in, it's NYPD, George Stacy pilots it with Spider-Man and Ghost-Spider.
"The plane is taking off!" Spider-Man said.
"What do we do?!" Ghost-Spider said.
"We're gonna have to board it! Captain Stacy, can you get us a little closer?!" Spider-Man said.
"On it!" George Stacy said.
The plane lifts off as the copter gets closer.
"Let's go!" Spider-Man said.
"Right behind you!" Ghost-Spider said.
Spider-Man and Ghost-Spider shot off the webs as they climb onto the plane as the footer pulls back and watches the plane fly up into the sky.
They reached the emergency hatch as they opened it and they got inside the plane. They arrived inside as they see Tarantula and his men inside.
"You again!" Tarantula said.
"Get up and find Ximena and Jacinda, I'll deal with them." Spider-Man said.
Ghost-Spider left Spider-Man behind and went to find Jacinda and Ximena. Spider-Man faces Tarantula and his men.
"You got in my way for the last time, Hombre Arana." Tarantula said.
"You hurt someone who's dear to me and threaten my city. Did you really think I was gonna let that go?" Spider-Man said.
"Come and get me, Hombre Arana!" Tarantula said.
Spider-Man ran up and jumped, he did the scissor kick and took two out. Another one throws a punch until Spider-Man jumped an wrapped his legs around his neck and flips him down hard.
In the top of the plane, Ghost-Spider see three men pull out their guns as she ran and dodge every bullet shot at her as she ducks and flips. She used Silat and took on the three in close quarters using her feet, fists, elbows, and knees. Jacinda and Ximena are amazed by the action of a hero.
"Are you two alright?" Ghost-Spider said.
"We're fine, thank you." Ximena said.
"Wait here, I'm heading for the cockpit." Ghost-Spider said.
Jacinda got loose and went down to see Spider-Man and Tarantula are about to face off in combat.
"You really live up to the name. I'm impressed and I'm never impressed." Tarantula said.
"First time for everything. Let's dance!" Spider-Man said.
Spider-Man and Tarantula engaged each other in combat by using their skills I capoeira against one another. Tarantula does the L-kick with the stinger on his boot but Spider-Man does the negativa maneuver. Spider-Man got up but Tarantula does the scorpion kick to his head as Spider-Man used his webs to zip back.
Tarantula and Spider-Man sees that they're evenly matched in terms of Capoeira, but Tarantula decided to make things interesting. He pulled back his stingers as Spider-Man is confused as to what Tarantula is trying to do.
"I thought that you were more than your webs, Arana." Tarantula speaks Spanish.
Spider-Man understands as he removed the cartridges from his web shooters to make things interesting, Tarantula smiled.
"Let's find out." Spider-Man speaks Spanish.
Spider-Man and Tarantula fights off again as they both disarmed their weapons. Tarantula thought that Spider-Man would be at a disadvantage without his webs, but he was wrong. Tarantula does the L-kick but Spider-Man does the back sweep kick and hit the hand that Tarantula is standing on. He fell as Spider-Man got on the ground and catch the kick that Tarantula executed, he kicked his back on the head.
Tarantula is injured as he stands up and charges in as Spider-Man did the knee stomp as Tarantula felt the pain as he stopped. Spider-Man does the butterfly kick and got him again. Tarantula got up and sees that he is getting bested by Spider-Man.
Spider-Man charges in and pushed him down on the floor, he then finished with a punch to the face, Tarantula got knocked out cold.
"That one is for MJ, you son of a bitch." Spider-Man said.
Spider-Man sees Jacinda nearby and is happy that Spider-Man and Ghost-Spider came to her rescues
"Jacinda, are you alright?" Spider-Man speaks Spanish.
"You know Spanish too?" Jacinda said in Spanish.
"Yeah, I'm the Hombre Arana. Let's go get this plane on the ground." Spider-Man said in Spanish.
Spider-Man picked up Jacinda and carried her up to her mother.
"Here." Spider-Man hands Jacinda to her mother.
"Thank you." Ximena smiled.
Spider-Man went to the cockpit and sees that Ghost-Spider already took care of the pilot as he's webbed up and the plane is on autopilot.
"You know how to land a plane, right?" Ghost-Spider said.
"Sure, my friend Carol taught a bit about flying, she had me go through simulations... though most times I've crashed." Spider-Man said.
Ghost-Spider gave him a look, a worried one.
"Kidding! I got this... I hope." Spider-Man said.
"Now I'm a bit worried." Ghost-Spider said.
Spider-Man took the cockpit controls and he turned the plane around.
"Alright, time to head back home." Spider-Man said.
The plane turned around and heads back to the airfield.
Later as Jacinda and Ximena are returned safely, they meet up with May and Mary Jane.
"Jacinda! Ximena! We're so glad that you're both alright." May smiled.
May and Mary Jane hugged Jacinda and Ximena in happiness. Peter and Gwen returned as Peter is holding up a gift bag.
"Hey there, how are you both?" Peter smiled.
"We all fine here Tiger." Mary Jane smiled.
Peter approach Mary Jane and sees the mark that Tarantula left on her face, the swelling went down but it's still a bit red.
"Not a good look, is it?" Mary Jane said.
"You're still beautiful MJ." Peter smiled.
"How sweet." Mary Jane smiled.
Peter and Mary Jane kissed each other in everyone's presence, they finished.
"Yuck!" Jacinda said in Spanish.
"Sorry. By the way I got you something Jacinda." Peter smiled in Spanish.
Peter pulls out a Spider-Man plush and hands it to Jacinda, she took and hugs her gift.
"Gracias." Jacinda smiled.
"De Nada." Peter said.
"Really? A Spider-Man plushie? Ghost-Spider helped too you know." Gwen said.
"That's true, though they don't have any Ghost-Spider plush and toys on sale yet." Peter said.
"That sucks." Gwen said.
"Don't worry, I'm sure they'll make plush of her soon." Peter said.
"What about Tarantula?" May said.
"Don't worry, he's been taken into custody and his operations here are crippled. He'll be going away for a long time." Peter said.
"What's going to happen to us? Are we getting deported soon?" Ximena said.
"Normally you would, but there's another solution." Peter said.
A man entered the shelter, its Agent Phil Coulson.
"This is Agent Phil Coulson of S.H.I.E.L.D." Peter said.
"Nice to meet you, I'm here on behalf of our friend Spider-Man." Coulson said.
"Thank you for coming, though I don't understand how you can help us." Ximena said.
"We taken Tarantula off the board though his second in command Luis Alvarez will be taking over the organization. It might not be wise for you and your daughter to return to Delvadia since his people there will be coming for you. You'll both be in witness protection." Coulson said.
Coulson hands them their new ID cards with their pictures and new names.
"You be living here in the US under new names and living a new life, as of this moment you're both US citizens." Coulson said.
Jacinda and Ximena are happy that they get to stay in the country and away from danger. They have a chance to start over and live a new life.
"Thank you." Ximena smiled.
"No problem, there's a car waiting to take you to the airport to be moved to another state. You and your friends can say goodbye before you leave." Coulson said.
"Thank you, let's go." Ximena said.
Peter, Gwen, Mary Jane, Jacinda, and Ximena walked out as Coulson and May are left alone.
"It's been a long time, May." Coulson said.
"I haven't seen you since the day you told me and Ben that Richard and Mary died in a plane crash." May said.
"I'm guessing that you know about your nephew's double life, given that you're not surprised about me and him knowing each other." Coulson said.
"I always hoped that he takes a different path than his father's, but he's definitely his son." May said.
"You must be proud of the person he's become." Coulson said.
"I am, and I know that Ben is too." May smiled.
"Shall we?" Coulson said.
Coulson and May join up with the others outside as they are saying their goodbyes. Some S.H.I.E.L.D. agents are there to escort them to the airport.
"Goodbye Jacinda." Mary Jane hugged Jacinda.
"We're gonna miss you all and thank you for your help." Ximena said.
"Jacinda is lucky to have a mother like you, I know that you'll do your best to provide a great life for Jacinda. With Tarantula locked up, you can move forward and live a peaceful life with your daughter." Mary Jane said.
"I won't let her down, we'll get through whatever life throws at us. You showed us that there is happiness out there. We'll be fine, thank you for everything." Ximena said.
"Ladies, it's time to go." Coulson said.
"Goodbye everyone!" Ximena smiled.
"Bye bye!" Jacinda smiled as she speaks Spanish.
Ximena and Jacinda climbed into the car as Coulson and his agents escort them to the airport to start living their new lives together. Jacinda holds her Spider-Man plush as she now has a hero to admire.
Peter, Mary Jane, Gwen, and May all waved goodbye as the car left the shelter.
