Silver Sable and the Wild Pack

Note: This chapter marks the return of Princess Silvija Sablinova from "Black Widow and S.H.I.E.L.D" in Avenging Spider-Man.

Present

Its been two weeks since Rosie Thompson told Peter and May that Flash has gone missing in Symkaria.

Peter and Betty are in Sokovia traveling on bus to the border that divides Sokovia and Symkaria.

"You're probably asking yourselves, how does this even happen? It all started when Flash's mother told me and May that Flash is missing... presumably dead. You're wondering what I'm doing so far from home? Let me take you back to the very beginning." Peter narrates.

Thirty-Six Hours Earlier

At the Daily Bugle, Peter, Betty, Ned, Robbie, and the rest of the staff are listening to Jameson.

"Listen up! This is the big deal, our tabloid newspaper has the go ahead to seen two of our own into Symkaria for a story on the civil war that is currently happening over there." Jameson said.

Everyone is talking and whispering about Symkaria and the war that is happening over there.

"Now for this one I'll be sending a reporter and a photographer for this executive. Please be aware that once you're over there, you'll be heading into high danger. Chances are that you'll be captured or dead. Anyone want to volunteer?" Jameson said.

Everyone is nervous about going into a country that is in civil war. Peter knows that this could be his chance to go over there and find his missing friend.

"I'll go!" Betty said.

Betty stepped forward and volunteered for this assignment.

Peter steps in and volunteer.

"I'll go too!" Peter said.

"No, I'll go!" Ned Leeds said.

Peter is surprised that Ned Leeds is volunteering for this assignment, given that he and Betty are still having problems.

"Ah, two of my photographers are competing for this spot." Jameson said.

"Why are you going Ned? Aren't you and Betty having problems lately?" Peter said.

"What is it to you? I'm the most qualified since you have a tendency to be late." Ned Leeds said.

"Excuse me, the guy who insulted his girlfriend." Peter said.

"Enough! Both of you! I'll decide who goes." Jameson said.

"JJ, let me go for this one." Peter said.

"What's your real interest in going to Symkaria, Parker?" Jameson said.

"Fine... My friend, Flash Thompson has been missing in action for two weeks. He's on tour in Symkaria." Peter said.

"So this is all about your friend. Sorry Parker, I'm not about to send my photographer to another country just to find his friend in hopes that he's alive." Jameson said.

"Jameson please, he's my friend." Peter said.

"It's okay if Peter goes with me. He and I make a great team, I trust his skills as a photographer. I'll be fine in his presence." Betty said.

Peter smiled at Betty as she back him up.

"Well... fine, you and Parker are both going to Symkaria tomorrow. But you better be taking photo Parker or you're fired." Jameson said.

"Noted Mr. Jameson." Peter said.

Ned isn't happy that Peter and Betty are working together again, given their relationship. Ned walked away in disappointment. Peter and Betty are about to walk out until Jameson speaks.

"Parker... a word." Jameson said.

"I'll be fine." Peter told Betty.

Betty left as Peter and Jameson talk.

"Listen... I served in the Navy and lost some people, close friends. Some of them went missing, only one returned home a month later. I hope that you find your friend, but you may have to prepare yourself for the truth you may not like." Jameson said.

"I understand, and thank you." Peter said.

"Good luck." Jameson said.

Peter left the Bugle as he and Betty must prepare themselves for a trip across the pond to the other side of the world.

The next day, Peter is still staying at the apartment that he now occupies alone since Mary Jane left for California to pursue her acting career. He packs up all the essentials for this trip, he'll have to leave behind his suit as it is a dead giveaway. He got his passport ready for travel.

May and Gwen came to his room to see him pack for his trip.

"So you're really doing this? Going to Symkaria?" May said.

"Yeah. I might gone for a couple of weeks, maybe more." Peter said.

"Do you think that Flash could still be alive?" Gwen said.

"I don't know, but I can't stand around and do nothing." Peter said.

"It's noble what you're doing, risking yourself to find someone who was once a bully to you during your high school years." May said.

"He was a bully, sure he's no saint but eventually he turned his life around and became a better person. In time he and I became friends." Peter said.

"If he's a better person, it's because you inspired him to be one." May said.

"Thanks May." Peter turns to Gwen. "Listen Gwen, I was wondering if you could-"

"Look after the city in your absence, sure. You just make sure that you make it back home in one piece." Gwen said.

"I will, I promise." Peter smiled.

Peter packed up all his things as he heads out to the airport.

Later at the airport, he sees Betty all packed up and has their tickets.

"Right on time." Betty said.

"Was there any doubt?" Peter said.

"Pretty much, you do have a habit of being late." Betty smiled.

"Hilarious." Peter smiled.

Betty hands Peter his ticket that Jameson has bought for them both. It marked as Sokovia for their destination.

"Sokovia?" Peter said.

"Yeah, we can't fly directly over there since Symkaria is a no fly zone for commercial airlines. We have to fly to Sokovia, from there we take a ride towards the border, once we're inside, we're on our own." Betty said.

"I see" Peter said.

"Are you sure that you've ready for this? It's not too late to turn back." Betty said.

"I was going to say that it's dangerous for a lady to go alone, but I know you better." Peter said.

"Well I'll feel much better since you're tagging along." Betty said.

"Attention, Flight AA117 to Sokovia is now boarding!"

"That's our flight, shall we?" Betty said.

"Ladies first." Peter said.

Peter and Betty are now boarding the plane that is bound for Sokovia.

Later at night as the plane is still in the air, Peter looks out the window and sees the clouds and ocean.

"So once we arrive at the airport, then we find a transport bus that can take us to Symkaria." Betty said.

"Seems simple enough." Peter said.

"Yeah, once we enter Symkaria the simple part is over. Hope you know what you're getting into." Betty said.

"Yeah, me too." Peter said.

"Aren't you afraid?" Betty said.

"Of myself, no. But I'm afraid of the news that I might hear concerning Flash." Peter said.

"So tell me about him, Flash, what's he like?" Betty said.

"Oh... well back then he was the star football player of Midtown. He pretty much made my life miserable. I had to rely on Mary Jane to protect me. Things got worse when me and Liz who was his girlfriend at that time got close." Peter said.

"So you moved on his girl?" Betty said.

"Not intentionally, but yes. After my uncle died, he came by the funeral and apologized to me for what happened to Ben. It was then I saw the good side of Flash. When Spider-Man showed himself to the world, Flash got inspired by his actions, made him want to be a better person, and he did." Peter said.

"Sound like he became a hero in his own way." Betty said.

"Yeah, he did." Peter said.

"Well it's getting late, we arrive in Sokovia in ten hours. Better get some sleep." Betty said.

"Yeah, feeling a bit tired myself." Peter said.

Betty closes her eyes. "Night Peter."

"Goodnight Betty." Peter closes his eyes.

Peter goes to sleep until Betty tilled her head onto his shoulders and she woke up.

"Sorry." Betty said.

"It's okay, I don't mind". Peter smiled.

Betty closes her eyes as she rest her head on Peter's shoulder. Peter remember that being close to Betty reminds him of that time they slept together. There's something about Betty that made him feel connected.

Present

"Okay, back to where we left off. Anyway Betty and Me found transportation to Symkaria as we arrive at the border, soon we're crossing into another country, into high danger." Peter narrates.

Betty and Peter are still riding the bus as they crossed the border and are now finally in Symkaria.

"Attention Ladies and Gentlemen, we're inside Symkaria. As many of you are aware that we are inside a war zone, so far we are inside the safe zone as the UN currently controls most of this area. We are heading for the liberated capitol of Ariana that the UN and Symkarian Loyalists are based at. I'd advise you all to stay inside the safe zone as there is still a war being waged. But be warned, if you step out of the safe zone, there's a chance that you'll run into danger that we won't be able to get you out off. Use caution and stay safe during your trip."

Betty and Peter look out the window and sees some blast craters and wrecked tanks and copters.

The bus finally arrived that Aniana, the capitol of Symkaria that is liberated by the UN and the Symkarian Resistance.

Peter and Betty got out of the bus and sees that the city is still wrecked by war.

"Aniana, the crown jewel of Symkaria is wreaked but still standing. Get you camera ready, people of New York deserves to see the results of war." Betty said.

Peter and Betty walked around the streets of Aniana and sees the Symkarian people struggling to survive as the UN and Doctors Without Borders aid those are hungry and sick.

"All the women and children are sick and starving. How does anyone live through this?" Betty said.

Peter took some photo of the city and its people to show back home. They found a hotel that is opened to travelers. They entered inside as the landlady shows them to their rooms.

"Here you are, your room."

Peter and Betty sees that is a small room with one bed.

"Ah... don't you have another room available? She and I are sleeping in separate rooms.

"Unfortunately no, this is all I got."

"It's fine, I don't mind." Betty said.

The landlady gave the key and leaves as Peter and Betty settled in and placed their luggage.

"Only one bed." Betty said.

"Help yourself, I'll take the floor." Peter said.

"That's kind. Though sleep will have to wait. We got an appointment at the base for the interview. Let's go." Betty said.

Peter and Betty left the hotel and leaves their stuff behind.

Later Peter and Betty are approaching the base.

"There's the army base ahead." Betty said.

They arrived at the airfield that the US military uses a base of operations. They approach the gate as they are stopped by a couple of soldiers.

"Hold! What's your business here?"

"We're reporters from the Daily Bugle, we got an appointment with the base commander." Betty said.

"ID's please. Place your items for inspection."

Betty and Peter place their stuff for the soldiers to inspect, they pulled out their IDs as the soldier checks to make sure they're legit.

"Okay, all clear. Proceed straight ahead."

The soldiers returned their IDs and items back.

"Thank you, let's go." Betty said.

Later Peter and Betty arrived inside command headquarters as they meet with the base commander.

"Welcome to Symkaria Ms. Brant, Mr. Parker."

"Colonel, it's a pleasure." Betty said.

"When the Bugle said that they're sending a couple of reporters, they didn't tell me that you two would be younger."

"Yeah well, most of the people back home got cold feet." Betty said.

"And I don't blame them. We've been here for over a year and Karkov's forces are still proven to be formidable. A number of my good men died on these lands. We've managed to retake this city but it came at a cost. Our resources are limited as they attacked our supply convoys and killed a number of soldiers."

"Uh sir, I was wondering if you got a list of the missing soldiers in action?" Peter said.

"Peter..." Betty said.

"Listen son, I can't just give out a list."

"I just need one name, Eugene Thompson, most people call him Flash. He's from Queens and he's about 19 years old." Peter said.

"Thompson? That does sound familiar. A couple weeks.l ago a scouting party was patrolling until they got hit by RPG, we arrived at the scene too late. Many good men lost their lives, some got burned and others died from internal bleeding. Only Corporal Thompson is missing from the scene."

"So there's a chance that he could still be alive." Peter said.

"I don't know, I don't want you to get your hopes up. Anyone who get captured by the enemy usually ends up dead. If he is alive, there's a chance that he won't be for long. I don't want to give up hope but he's been gone for two weeks, it's unlikely that he's lasted this long."

"I see."

"Listen, there's a patrol convoy that's about to leave soon, they can show you around if you're interested."

"Sure, let's go Peter." Betty said.

"What, Betty... Betty." Peter followed after her.

They arrived at the humvee convoy as the soldiers invited them on the trip.

"Betty, it's dangerous out there." Peter said.

"Peter, if you're scared, then stay here." Betty said.

Betty got inside the humvee as Peter doesn't want to leave Betty out there alone.

"Wait for me." Peter said.

Peter got inside the humvee and sits next to Betty. The convoy left the base and is driving through the city as it reaches outside.

The convoy is still driving outside the safe zone as Peter and Betty looked around Symkaria. They're listening to Back in Black of AC/DC that's being played on the boom box.

"Who's idea is it to play music while on patrol?" Peter said.

"Hey, I think that I seen this in a movie of some kind. Please don't tell me that you're not into Back in Black?"

"Hey, I don't mind the music but are you supposed to be on alert?" Peter said.

"Hey, we've been through these road before without any problems?" What's the worst that could happen?"

The lead humvee ahead is blown up by an RPG as the other one behind them go blown up too.

"Contact!"

"Stay inside you two!"

Peter and Betty remained inside the humvee. One of the soldiers got out and began suppressing fire until he got shot. The other soldier fires back until he got shot in the head. Peter and Betty sees that everyone got killed as they sees Symkarian separatists approaching and aims their weapons at them.

"You two, out now!"

Peter and Betty slowly got out of the humvee and raised their hands as guns are pointed at them.

Later at separatist camp, Peter and Betty enters a tent as their commander sees the new prisoners.

"You two are soldiers so who are you?"

"We're reporters, we work at the Daily Bugle." Betty said.

"What do you do with the prisoners?" Peter said.

The commander punched Peter in the face.

"You speak when you're spoken to!"

"Hey! Leave him alone!" Betty said.

"You're a brave woman... and a lovely one at that."

The man looked at Betty and checks out her figure.

"It's been awhile since I had a woman in bed."

"Don't you touch her!" Peter angry.

One of the men pulls out his taser baton and shocked Peter down.

"Peter!" Betty yelled.

Betty tries to help Peter but their leader got a hold of her wrist and pulls her into the other room as the rest kept torturing Peter.

"Peter! Help!" Betty yelled.

Pete looked at Betty as she getting pulled by the other guy and he can't do anything as the batons kept shocking him.

"Bet-ty." Peter said.

Peter then uses ever once of his strength to get back up until one the guys kicked him down hard, the rest joined up to keep kicking Peter down.

In the other room of the tent, the guy pushed Betty onto his cot and got on top of her.

"Get off me!" Betty yelled.

"So pretty."

The guy ripped her shirt and sees her in a bra.

"Please, don't!" Betty teared up:

The man is about have his way with Betty as Peter is powerless to stop him as he's getting shocked and kicked.

"Betty... no!" Peter yelled.

One of the men got shot as everyone got on high alert as one of their own just got killed. Another shot came in and killed another.

In the other room, the leader got off Betty as he couldn't continue and pulls out his gun, he got surprised and attack by a silver haired woman. Betty is fortunate that someone came just in time before the worst could happen.

"You!"

"In the flesh!" Silver Sable said.

"Countess Karkov has huge price on your head Princess, and I'll collect after I'm done with you."

Silver Sable pulls out her quarterstaff and began to fight off the commander in combat.

Meanwhile the separatist soldiers are surprised by a group of highly trained mercenaries. Peter looks up and sees four mercenaries with guns, one is a tall and dark, one looks Vietnamese, other is Hispanic, and the last one is American.

"Give them hell, Wild Pack!" Amy Chen said.

The Wild Pack began to fire off their guns as the enemy soldiers are getting killed off easily. Amy Chen approach Peter and offers her hand.

"Are you alright?" Amy Chen said.

Peter took it and got up.

"Yeah... thanks." Peter said.

They hear the ruckus happening in the other room.

"Uh... shouldn't you go help out?" Peter said.

"Don't worry, Silver has got this, trust me." Amy Chen said.

In the other room, Silver Sable gained the upper hand as the enemy commander is being bested by a woman. He tries to grab his pistol and points at her until she throws her chai and hurts him.

"Ahh!"

"You call yourself a soldier? You're a disgrace to you country just like Karkov is. Taking advantage of a vulnerable woman is very low." Silver Sable said.

"I'm sorry... it won't happen again."

Silver Sable pulls out her pistol and aims at the enemy commander.

"No it won't." Silver Sable said.

Peter hears a gunshot coming from the other room as he rushed in and sees Silver Sable and Betty with her shirt ripped off. He then sees the enemy commander on the ground, dead. Peter then looks at Silver Sable and sees that it's none other than Princess Silvija Sablinova.

"Princess?" Peter said.

"It's Silver Sable actually." Silver Sable said.

Peter is confused as to what's going on, last time he seen was at the UN in New York last year. She risked her life to speak out against Countess Karkov and convince the world to aid Symkaria in restoring peace and freedom to her country. Now she gone from a simple Princess to a warrior that now leads a group of mercenaries.

Peter then sees Betty still shaken up by what that guy tried to do with her.

"Betty!" Peter said.

"Peter! He... he... he nearly..." Betty cried.

"I know, I know, you're okay Betty, you're okay." Peter hugs her.

Peter continues to conform her as she came close to be forced on by a man. She then looked at the woman who saved her life.

"Thank you." Betty said.

"Sure, no woman sure ever have to suffer at the hands of man." Silver Sable said.

"Thank you." Peter said.

"We should go, it's not safe her for you two. We'll escort you back to the city where you'll be safe." Silver Sable said.

Peter and Betty followed Silver Sable and her Wild Pack as they reached an aircraft that the Wild Pack uses for travel. They all board as Crippler gets to the controls and pilots it. The craft lifts off as it heads back to the capitol.

Back at the hotel, Betty is still in the shower as she's trying to wash off the scent from today's assault. She finished and dried herself off as she kept being shaken by what almost happened, she was kidnapped by Venom and got over it, but what happened today is different.

Peter sees Betty coming out wearing a bathroom and looks shaken. Betty sees Peter still a bit bruised by the attack those men inflicted on him. Peter could tell that Betty is going through fear again as he was powerless to stop it. He as glad that Silver Sable and the Wild Pack arrived in time before the damage being done to Betty become worse.

"How are you holding up?" Peter said.

"Took four showers and it's still not any easy. I'm sorry Peter." Betty said.

"Betty, you have nothing to apologize for." Peter said.

"Yes... I do. I thought that by coming here that I could keep my mind off everything that happened to me, Venom, Ned. Instead I just jumped myself into danger and never consider the damage it could do to me and you. I don't expect you to understand." Betty said.

"Trust me, I understand perfectly. Life hasn't been too kind to me, the losses I've endured, it's never easy." Peter said.

"Are you talking about Flash or someone else?" Betty said.

"Me and Mary Jane broke up." Peter said.

"I'm sorry, I didn't know." Betty said.

"I thought that I could have it both ways, being a photographer and a science major, having a great girlfriend that could become an actress or a model. Turns out that you can't always have both. Maybe I came here because at some level I don't want to deal with my own issues. Trust me, it's been hard." Peter said.

"What is wrong with us? We're quite a pair, each of us loved someone dearly and ended up losing them." Betty said.

"Yeah, we've lived screwed up lives." Peter smiled.

Betty smiled as she's feeling a bit better.

"Listen Peter, I was thinking that we could go home early since we came close to dying. I know that we have a job to do and that you have hopes of finding your friend." Betty said.

"I can't just walk away, I feel that Flash is still alive, he's out there somewhere." Peter said.

"I hope so too Peter, let's hope that those monsters kept him alive. Listen, we should get some sleep." Betty said.

"Go ahead, take the bed. I just want to make sure that you sleep as comfortable as possible." Peter said.

"Thank you." Betty smiled.

Betty climb onto the bed as she laid her head down and tries to rest her eyes.

"Are you sure that you don't want the bed? We could share?" Betty said.

"I'm sure, besides I think we both know what happened last time we spent the night together on the same bed." Peter said.

"Oh... point taken." Betty said.

"Goodnight Betty." Peter smiled.

"Goodnight Peter." Betty said.

Betty closes her eyes as she sleeps as Peter has no plans to sleep as he's about to find answers as to what happened to Flash. He can't get them from the Army, but he knows who to turn to for answers.

According to the information that he received around town concerning Silver Sable, he found out that she's stays at the royal palace here in the capitol.

He found the Royal Palace of Symkaria, it's surrounded by guards as it's a sight that Princess Sablinova is here at home, most likely with her team, the Wild Pack.

He puts on a ski mask he brought on the trip as he plans to sneak into the palace undetected.

He was able to climb up the palace walls and sneak in undetected, he sees a window and looks down as he see Silvija sparring with Amy Chen both wearing workout clothes.

Silvija blocks the kick as she does a sweep kick and got Amy off her feet. She reached her hand out as Amy grabbed it.

"Not bad Princess." Amy Chen said.

"You too, Amy." Silvija said.

"We sure worked up a sweat." Amy Chen said.

"Let's end this session for the night, I'm going to get cleaned up." Silvija said.

Peter sees that Silvija is leaving the room as she goes to her royal chambers. She placed the towel that she used to wipe off her sweat. She's about to undress until she turns around and throws her chai at someone that sneaked into her room, Spider-Man caught it with his hand.

"Who are you and what are you doing here in my room?!" Silvija said.

"Easy, I didn't come here as an enemy." Spider-Man said.

"Who are you?" Silvija said.

"We've met before, last year I saved you from the Beetle. He had you trapped and threatened to kill you until you kick back at his groins and elbowed him in the face, that's when I came in and punched him the face." Spider-Man said.

"Spider-Man? How do I know that you're the real one?" Spider-Man said.

"Ah hell!" Spider-Man said.

Spider-Man pulled up his mask as he pull Silvija in and kisses her. She got surprised that someone is kissing her but it felt familiar. They broke off their kiss as he pulled back.

"You pulled me in and said, 'Please, on behalf of Symkaria, please accept this reward.' then you kissed me as a reward." Spider-Man said.

"It is you." Silvija said.

"Yes, and I need your help." Spider-Man said.

"Wait here as I get cleaned up." Silvija said.

Silvija enters her bathroom as she stripped out of her workout clothes and showers the sweat off with water. Spider-Man remained outside the bathroom.

"So what brings Spider-Man far from home?" Silvija said.

"I'm looking for someone, a friend that's gone missing." Spider-Man said.

"That's all. Haven't you noticed that things around here are worse?" Silvija said.

"Yeah, I've seen the people here suffer, I'm sorry that this is happening." Spider-Man said.

"Look I sympathize about your lost friend, I really do, but there are other people here that needs me to help them." Silvija turns off the water.

Silvija came out the shower and dries off, she came out of the bathroom as she's wearing a towel, Spider-Man felt something as he sees her in a towel.

"Do you need me to leave?" Spider-Man said.

"It's fine, I'll be quick." Silvija dropped her towel.

Spider-Man turned around as Silvija is wearing nothing as he seen briefly her whole naked body, he blushed a bit under the mask. For a princess, she has quite a figure that compares to Mary Jane and Felicia. Silvija dressed up into her suit,

"Okay, you can turn around." Silvija said.

Spider-Man turns around and sees Silvija is now Silver Sable, she's all dressed in a silver cat suit with two pistols in the holsters, some chais, and some other tools. She got a silver white headband around her forehead.

"I could help you with your problem if you can help me with mines." Silver Sable said.

"What do you need?" Spider-Man said.

Later Silver Sable and Spider-Man are with the other member of the Wild Pack.

"Spider-Man, meet my team, the Wild Pack." Silver Sable said.

Spider-Man sees the Wild Pack again.

"This is Amy Chen, Ex-Vietnamese Army, master martial artist." Silver Sable said.

"Hi." Amy Chen said.

"Next is Larry Arnold, Ex-Navy SEAL, heavy weapons specialist." Silver Sable said.

"Yo!" Larry Arnold said.

"Other man is Raul Quentino, former Mexican Navy, Anti-Drug Enforcement and tech specialist." Silver Sable said.

"Hola." Quentino said.

"Last but not least, Carlton Stricklan, Ex- US Marine Corp, top marksman, everyone calls him Crippler." Silver Sable said.

"Hey." Crippler said.

"Where did you find these guys?" Spider-Man said.

"After that incident back in New York, I was inspired by your heroism that I decided to fight back for my country. I used the skills that my father taught me since my youth. I went out and seek out the best mercenaries the world has to offer. In the end, I found what I was looking for. We became the Wild Pack." Silver Sable said.

"I see, so what's this thing you need from me?" Spider-Man said.

They all assembled around the holo table as it shows them Symkaria.

"This is Symkaria, we've done our part in help liberate most of the country, but Karkov is still pushing back. According to our intel, she's currently based at Avalon Island where the most secured fortress in Symkaria is on." Silver Sable said.

"So how does this help me with my problem?" Spider-Man said.

"Underneath the fortress, there is a detention block underneath where they keep captured prisoners locked up. If your friend is alive then chances are that he's with them." Silver Sable said.

"So we invaded the fortress and get Karkov, seems simple enough." Spider-Man said.

"It's not, she chose her stronghold well, the island is surrounded by patrol boats and underwater mines, the island itself has anti air turrets. Any aircraft approaching the island will get shot down within seconds. It's suicide to invade that place." Silver Sable said.

"I'll go." Spider-Man said.

Silver Sable and the Wild Pack are surprised to hear that Spider-Man volunteered for this suicidal mission.

"I can get close enough to make it too the island." Spider-Man said.

"Look, many good men tried to infiltrate that place, and they never returned, alive at least. This isn't a task for normal men." Silver Sable said.

"Well it's a good thing that I'm not normal." Spider-Man said.

"Spider-Man, are you sure about what you're getting into? Chances are that you'll die and we won't be able to back you up if things go south. If you do manage to survive and make it to the island, you'll be on your own." Silver Sable said.

"If my friend is on that island and Karkov is there too, it's a chance I'll have to take. I'm in." Spider-Man said.

"Then you'll need our help to get there... Spider-Man, welcome to the Wild Pack." Silver Sable said.

Spider-Man and Silver Sable shake hands as they decide to work together to help save the prisoners and free Symkaria from tyranny.

"Listen, I didn't bring my suit or my webshooters. Got resources I could use?" Spider-Man said.

"Follow me." Silver Sable said.

Spider-Man followed Silver Sable to a workshop that she and her crew uses to upgrade their weapons and equipment.

"Is this good enough for you?" Silver Sable said.

"This will do." Spider-Man said.

"My resources are at your disposal." Silver Sable said.

"Thank you, time to get to work." Spider-Man said,

Later as Spider-Man is left at the workshop alone as he uses the components to build webshooters as well as using chemical ingredients to make webbing. After he's done with the webshooters and cartridges, he began building a new suit for this mission, since he'll be infiltrating a fortress under the cover of darkness, he'll need to go black.

Later as Silver Sable and the Wild Pack are waiting outside at the aircraft. They then see Spider-Man walking towards them in his new stealth suit.

Note: I've model the stealth suit after the one used in Spider-Man Far from Home.

"How do I look?" Spider-Man said.

"Dashing." Silver Sable smiled.

"Let's get going." Spider-Man said.

Spider-Man and the Wild Pack are boarding the aircraft as it began to lift off the ground and heads toward battle.

Later as the aircraft is still in the sky, Spider-Man and Silver Sable have time to talk.

"So how did you get the name Silver Sable?" Spider-Man said.

"It's a long story, do you really want to know?" Silver Sable said.

"We got some time before the mission starts, so yeah." Spider-Man said.

"Okay... it all started with my grandfather who ruled Symkaria during World War II, the Nazis invaded my country and forced martial law onto my people. My grandfather decided to formed the first Symkarian resistance and became the first human to bear the name Silver Sable. They were able to push back the Nazis and free my country from tyranny. That's why I'm taken the name Silver Sable, because it symbolizes freedom and justice in my country. That's what I want for my people, freedom." Silver Sable said.

"We'll see to it that your people are finally free once and for all. I know that I came here to find my friend but now it became more than that. I can't turn away help since I'm here." Spider-Man said.

"I can see that, you're driven. What drives someone like you into a life of violence? Did you lose someone?" Silver Sable said.

"Yeah, someone who was like a father. I decided to be Spider-Man to honor him, to live up to his expectations." Spider-Man said.

"From what I can see, sounds like you already have," Silver Sable said.

"Thank you, for what it's worth, I hope that you live up to your family name. I can see that you make a great leader for your people." Spider-Man said.

"Thank you." Silver Sable said.

The aircraft began to shake as its taking fire as it approaches Avalon Island. Silver Sable land on top of Spider-Man as she got up and went to the cockpit.

"What is it?" Silver

"Avalon Island, they know that we're coming. We can't take heavy fire, we have to pull back!" Amy Chen said.

"No! Get close to their coast as much as possible! I'll go!" Spider-Man said.

"Do it!" Silver Sable said.

"Okay, hang on!" Amy Chen said.

The craft got close to its water as Spider-Man opens the hatch and gets ready for a dive.

"Remember! Take out the anti-air turrets with C4! Then let's us know when to attack!" Silver Sable said.

"Got it! As soon as I jump, turn around and get yourselves out of here!" Spider-Man said.

Spider-Man jumped out of the aircraft, Silver Sable and the Wild Pack watched.

"Did he take a parachute?" Larry Arnold said.

"No, he didn't." Silver Sable smiled.

The craft turned around and heads back the city as Spider-Man continues to fall from such a far height with no parachute. He falls down and dives into the water without any injuries thanks to his physiology.

Spider-Man continues to swim underwater as to avoid the underwater mines. He reached the docks as he climbed and pulled a sentry off the ground and webbed him up. He got onto the ground and sneaks around the island undetected.

He arrived at the first anti air turret and sees three guys guarding it, he ran up and does the scissor kick on the two and then ducks down and does the sweep kick, the last guy fell down as he got up and does the axe kick. He took out the three out cold as he proceed to place the C4 on the turret.

He moved onto the other turrets and proceeded to taking out the guards undetected, he placed the C4 on all of them one by one. Spider-Man got to placed them at all the turrets as he radios in Silver Sable.

"Silver, are you there?" Spider-Man said.

"I'm here, did you set the explosives?" Silver Sable said.

"All the explosives are set." Spider-Man said.

"Okay, now time for you to do your part, go down to the lower levels and free the prisoners, give us the word and we'll be coming." Silver Sable said.

"Got it, be ready." Spider-Man said.

"Good luck." Silver Sable said.

Spider-Man then proceed to the fortress to find Flash and the prisoners.

Back at the capitol of Aniana, Silver Sable and the Wild Pack are at the base as to ask the UN for aid.

"Spider-Man is doing what?"

"He's at the island and he's placed explosives at the turrets. We have an opportunity to invade and take Karkov out. We need aid." Silver Sable said.

"I lost a lot of good men, now we have a chance for retribution for our brothers that died. We're in, when do we start?"

Silver Sable smiled as did the Wild Pack, every soldier is being loaded onto the helicopters as they're about to head into battle for the fate of Symkaria.

Spider-Man managed to infiltrate inside the fortress as to avoid security inside. He reached the lower level as he turns around and sees the guards walking near. He hide up above as the guard past by. He sees them reach the door to the detention cell, one of them types in the codes to door. He memorized it as he sees them enter. He jumped down as he approached the door and types in the same codes. The door opened as he sneakiness inside.

He looked around and sees the cells with prisoners inside, mostly soldiers. One of the guard spotted Spider-Man and was about to call in until he got webbed in the mouth and Spider-Man runs up and does flying knee. The guard got knocked out cold, he then hears footsteps coming.

The other guard came and sees his friend is down, he then spotted Spider-Man hanging above the ceiling. Spider-Man jumped down.

"Nooo!"

Spider-Man punched him down as the prisoners watched. He picked up the keys to the cells as he began to open the cells one by one.

"Who are you?"

"I'm Spider-Man. Listen, I'm looking for someone who might've be a prisoner. His name is Eugene Thompson, many calls him Flash." Spider-Man said.

"No one by that name here, but there is another room where they take other prisoners for interrogation, none has returned."

"Okay, stay put until I come back, prepare yourselves and arm up, there's gonna be a battle coming soon."

Spider-Man left as the prisoners reached the prison armory and grabbed some guns for battle.

Spider-Man looked around and sees a morgue nearby, he sees dead bodies that looked like they were tortured to death, none of them are Flash.

"My god... I hope that Flash is okay." Spider-Man said.

"Ahhh!"

Spider-Man hears noises coming from another room, he proceeded and check the door window, he sees couple of enemy soldiers shocking a captured soldier.

"Tell us everything you know about the base?"

"No... I'll never tell, I'll die before I talk."

"So be it."

One of the soldier pulled out his gun and is ready to shoot the prisoner in the head until Spider-Man come bursting in and webbed up the armed soldier and pulled him for a knee strike. Another one was about to pull out his gun until Spider-Man does the side kick and kicked him towards the wall, he got knocked out cold. He went to check up on the hooded prisoner.

"Are you okay soldier?" Spider-Man said.

Spider-Man pulls the hood off and sees the face of Flash Thompson.

"Flash." Spider-Man said.

Flash opened his eyes and sees a guy in a black mask that looked like Spider-Man.

"Huh?... Spider-Man? What... what are you doing here?" Flash said.

"I just happened to be in the neighborhood." Spider-Man said.

"Kinda far from home, aren't you?" Flash said.

"A mutual friend of ours sent me to find you." Spider-Man said.

"Peter?" Flash said.

"Yeah... Peter. Let's get you out of here." Spider-Man said.

Spider-Man picked up Flash off the ground and sees that he's been tortured for hours.

"Can you stand?" Spider-Man said.

"Yeah... it's gonna take more than a few shocks to put down a former high school quarterback. I can still take a beating and fight." Flash smiled.

"Okay, lets go." Spider-Man said.

Spider-Man and Flash left the interrogation room as they meet up with rest of the prisoners who are already armed.

"Looks like you found your friend." A capture soldier hands Flash a Tavor C95 bullpup rifle. "You'll need this."

Flash took the rifle as he is ready to fight. Spider-Man then got a transmission from Silver Sable.

"Spider-Man, are you there?" Silver Sable said.

"I'm here, all the prisoners are accounted for. Some of them died from torture." Spider-Man said.

"That's unfortunate, did you find your friend?" Silver Sable said.

"Yeah, he's alive." Spider-Man said.

"Good, we on our way to the island with reinforcements. Are you ready for battle?" Silver Sable said.

Spider-Man looked at Flash and the soldiers as they all nod their heads.

"Yeah." Spider-Man said.

"Then light it up." Silver Sable said.

Spider-Man pulled the detonator as he pressed it.

Outside the fortress the AA turrets are blown up as Karkov is watching from her tower and sees that the turrets are being blown up.

"What the... Everyone! Deploy the troops now!" Karkov said.

Inside the fortress the alarm has been triggered as everyone of Karkov's troops are being drawn into battle.

Outside the island, a group of helicopters and boats are approaching the island.

Some the enemy soldiers inside the fortress are being ambushed by Flash and the allied soldiers as guns are blazing.

"The prisoners? How did they escape?"

Some of the enemies got their guns yanked off their hands by webbing as Spider-Man came crashing down and fighting five off in hand to hand combat.

Meanwhile inside the tower, Karkov is been fortified inside.

"How are they doing this?" Karkov said.

Karkov uses the fortress's surveillance cameras as she checks the screen and sees someone in black is fighting off her soldiers with just his fists and feet.

"Deploy the exosuits!" Karkov said.

"At once."

One of her followers active the exosuits inside the castle.

Spider-Man kept on fighting along side with the freed soldiers as they're gaining the upper hand. They took out the first three waves.

"That was easy." Flash said.

Spider-Man's spider sense tingles as he sensed danger coming.

"Spider sense tingling! Danger!" Spider-Man said.

"Where?" Flash said.

They then sees the giant door opening as they sees three exosuits coming in with miniguns and rockets. They started fires as some of the fellow soldiers are get killed off.

"Pull back to cover!" Spider-Man said.

Spider-Man and his allies pull back to safety as a few have already died and they're getting outgunned.

"Dang! How do we take those things out?" Flash said.

"Leave that to me, just stay behind and cover me." Spider-Man said.

Spider-Man swings up as Flash and his allies fires back to cover Spider-Man as more enemy soldiers came in.

Karkov is still at her tower as she watches the battle happening outside the fortress as well as inside. The allied forces are pinned down as helicopters are being blown up and some soldiers are losing their lives.

She sees on the screen as the Wild Pack arrived to back up the allies and aid them in pushing back the her forces.

"That Wild Pack has brought nothing but trouble to my reign." Karkov said.

She watches as four of the Wild Pack are doing their job well in taking out her forces.

"Wait... where's Silver?" Karkov said.

The tower window came crashing down as Silver Sable came in guns blazing. She pulls out her pistols as she shoots off Karkov's protectors one by one.

Karkov watched as Silver Sable has taken out her guards, Silver then points her guns towards her.

"It's over, Countess Karkov. Your reign is over." Silver Sable said.

"Silvija Sablinova, what a surprise. You gone from a simple princess to a terrorist." Karkov said.

"You're the real terrorist here, letting our people die just so you can hold onto power. You're not fit to lead Symkaria." Silver Sable said.

"Then kill me, like a coward." Karkov said.

Silver Sable puts away her guns as she pulls out her quarterstaff.

"Why don't we make things interesting." Silver Sable said.

Karkov pulled out a sword from the sheath.

"Is this interesting enough for you, princess?" Karkov said.

"I've waited a long time for this moment." Silver Sable said.

Silver and Karkov duel each other to the death.

Spider-Man is still fighting against the three exosuits. He dodged all their fire until he webbed up a debris and swings it at one of the exosuit and took it out.

"One down, two to go." Spider-Man said.

Two exosuits continues to fires off against Spider-Man but he's too fast for them to hit. He runs as he avoids the incoming fire. He jumped onto the exosuit as the other one fires off at him but he jumped in time as he watches the exosuit getting destroyed by another.

"Thanks for that!" Spider-Man said.

He jumped onto the cockpit window as he punched through and pulled the pilot out and has him at his mercy.

"Had enough?" Spider-Man said.

Flash and the others watched as Spider-Man saved their asses again.

"Thanks Spidey." Flash said.

"Sure, though I can't take all the credit as you guys helped out. Thank you by the way." Spider-Man said.

At the tower, Silver Sable and Karkov are still dueling one another as Karkov is proven to be skilled swordswoman that could hold her own against Silver Sable. She gained the edge as she easily disarmed Silver of her quarterstaff. She now has her award pointed at Silver.

"I was always the best at swords in fencing class, you're still second." Karkov said.

"Maybe, but I'm still the best at everything else!" Silver Sable said.

Silver does the sweep kick as she caught Karkov off guard and managed to trip her to the ground. Karkov was about strike back until Silver caught her wrists and knocked the sword off her hand. She then proceeded to punch Karkov with her fists as Karkov is out of her element and is getting bested by Silver.

Silver got off Karkov and picked up the sword, she points it a Karkov as she got defeated and bruised.

"It's over. Do you yield?" Silver Sable said.

"Never, kill me. Do it." Karkov said.

Silver thought about killing Karkov for all the harm she's done to the people of Symkaria.

"No... you shall be punished for your crimes." Silver Sable said.

Sometime later as the Wild Pack and the allied soldiers are finished mopping up the remaining enemies. They stand at the door of the castle as they see it opening up. Everyone sees Spider-Man and Silver Sable with Countess Karkov as their prisoner, most of the captured soldiers are saved, some have died and others are injured.

"Silver, you did it!" Amy Chen said.

"Yes, it's finally over." Silver Sable said.

"These men need medical attention." Spider-Man said.

"I understand, medics! Tend to the injured immediately."

The medics came to help the injured as everyone is happy that the Symkarian Civil War has finally ended.

"Thank you Spider-Man, because of you my people are finally free." Silver Sable said.

"I just did my part, the rest is you. You make a great leader, Princess." Silver Sable said.

"Hey! Let's hear it for Spider-Man!" Flash yelled

Everyone cheered to Spider-Man for his heroic actions in helping free a country from tyranny.

The next day at the capitol city of Aniana, everyone celebrates as Karkov's reign of terror is over and the people of Symkaria are finally free, their lives will go back to normal.

Peter and Betty are in the crowd as Princess Silvija Sablinova is speaking to her people.

"My people, I know that these past years have been the hardest. We've struggled through tough times and lost so much, it seemed like there was no hope for us. But we were wrong, there is hope. Thanks to the support of the free world and to a hero who goes by Spider-Man, we finally have a chance to rebuild, we still have a long way to restore our home to its glory, but it'll be worth it. Countess Karkov is being sent to the International Criminal Court to face trail for her crimes. Now let us celebrate our freedom as Symkaria is finally free. To Symkaria!" Silvija Sablinova said

"TO SYMKARIA!"

Everyone watched as the fighter planes are launching colored smoke to resemble the nation's flag.

Betty and Peter are watching as the citizens are cheering to a free Symkaria. Peter took the photos of the celebration and he took a good picture of Princess Sablinova.

"Hopefully Jameson will be satisfied with this." Peter said.

"Don't get you hopes up when it comes to Spider-Man with Jameson." Betty said.

"Yeah, that's a good point." Peter said.

"Peter Parker! Is that you?!" Flash said.

Peter turns around and sees Flash Thompson coming.

"Flash! It's so to see you!" Peter smiled.

Peter and Flash hugged one another.

"I thought I'd never see you again." Peter said.

"You can thank Spider-Man for that, he saved my life as well as everyone who got locked up. He's a real hero." Flash said.

"Still his number one fan." Peter smiled.

"Better believe it." Flash said.

Peter and Flash are celebrating the freedom of Symkaria as life goes back to normal for everyone.

Later as Silvija Sablinova returned to her palace after the celebration. She reached her bedroom and began to change until she noticed that she's not alone.

"Do you enjoy sneaking to ladies rooms?" Silvija Sablinova said.

"No, I just wanted to see you before I leave." Spider-Man said.

"I'd figured as much, you're still needed back home. I'd hope that you stay around but I know that you won't." Silvija Sablinova said.

"I wanted say thank you for everything, without you I would never be able to save anyone." Spider-Man said.

"You're welcome, I should also thank you for all you have done. If you never came into my life, I don't know what my life could've turned out, you inspired me to be a hero for my people." Silvija Sablinova said.

"It's good to know that I've inspired more people. So what's next for the Princess Sablinova?" Spider-Man said.

"Now I must continue my work as a warrior to help restore Symkaria and to protect it should this ever happen again." Silvija Sablinova said.

"Sounds like a plan. I should get going." Spider-Man said.

"Wait... at least let me give you a reward for my country." Silvija Sablinova said.

Silvija came closer to Spider-Man and pulled his mask up halfway as she kisses him again as a reward.

"Wow... just like last time." Spider-Man smiled.

"I hope that our path cross again someday." Silvija Sablinova said.

"So do it... farewell Princess." Spider-Man said.

Spider-Man jumped off the balcony and swings away as Princess Sablinova watches the hero. She succeeded in freeing her country, one chapter ends as another one is about to begin for her.
