I am so so sorry for the long wait. To be honest I haven't felt l much like writing and I don't have much of a following on this story. I started writing this story for fun and then I lost my vibe I don't like the way I went with this story idk. I am however, going to power through my initial idea and see what i think. I am torn about whether or not I will continue this story once I wrap up this part of my story. I hope you like this one and I would love to hear what you think.

Natsu and Lyon stood in the face to face fire and ice. The battle field was starting to heat up.
"You won't win, there's no way in hell, the ceremony is almost complete." Lyon laughed menacingly. Natsu paid him no attention but went right in for a full attack sending Lyon crashing to the ground. "I won't let you win"
Spitting out blood "Oh are we getting serious now?" Lyon taunted getting up. "Ice Make Tiger" Dodging out of the way, Natsu was too quick for his attack.
...
"So are you going to explain Gray?" Erza asked
Gray looked down in despair, they had just made it out of the village and started running down the path towards the temple. "Come on Gray, anything you tell us could help us fight Lyon and stop Deliora from being released." Lucy added huffing and puffing as they picked up the pace.
"It's been 10 years since Deliora attacked my home, the relation that Lyon and I have in complicated. Training under the same master we always seemed to show each other up. Ur raised the both of us and she also saved us. If Lyon releases Deliora, that demon will destroy us all."
Running the rest of the way in silence Gray prepared himself for the fateful encounter with his dear training partner. Once the temple came into view they stopped. "Umm, is it just me or does the temple look a little on the crooked side?" Lucy wondered aloud resting against a tree near by.
"I'm gonna guess that flame brain had something to do with it." Gray said
"You might be right, if they need to gather moon light, he must of knocked it out of place to stop the ritual." Lucy told them. "It appear his destructive side worked in our favor for once."
Getting the sense that they were not alone Erza warned her team, "be on guard, I have a feeling we are not alone.."
"Ahh my head," Happy gasped
"Watch out" Erza yelled
They were ambushed by Lyons minions, Erza requipped as quickly as she could and sent a few coming her way flying, "GRAY GO ON AHEAD, LUCY AND I CAN HANDLE THIS."
"Uh, we can?" Lucy said nervously, one of the minions grabbed her arm pulling her to the ground. Quickly going for her keys, "Open gate of the giant crab"
"New do, baby?" Cancer said slicing the air with his shears.
"What is it with you spirits, HELP!"
While the girls fought Gray made a run for it followed by Happy. "I promised Ur that I would be strong and that's what i'll prove!"
...
"This fight can go on forever, just give up already!" Natsu wasn't about to give up but he was stating to run low on magic power, didn't matter how much fire he ate. This Lyon guy wasn't going to let up.
"NEVER"
"You're really asking for it, I think it's about time we end this!" Natsu yelled, winding up his arm for his final blow. Just then the wall blew and the room filled with ice. "Am i late or is there room for one more?" Gray said nonchalantly
"Gray?" Natsu said puzzled
"It's my turn Natsu, step aside, Lyon is mine."
"NO WAY MAN, I WAS FIGHTING HIM FIRST PLUS YOU ALREADY LOST TO HIM ONCE.."
"I will take Lyon down once and for all, don't make me fight you too." Natsu backed off, he could tell Gray was serious, he didn't want to get in the way of that, if he failed he would step in and finish the job.
"You sound pretty confident there Gray, my dear friend.." Lyon interjected the two from squabbling.
"Now you listen here Lyon, I am to blame for masters death. But you, YOU are no better than I! YOU HURT MY FRIENDS and the villagers. That's not at all what Ur would have wanted." Gray backed up, tears streaming from his eyes.
"What is this? Gray?" Lyon questioned, the form Gray took was familiar.
Natsu looked on at his friend, he had a bad feeling about this, what was he doing? He had never seen that move before.
"Wait, this is- ICE SHELL? GRAY, YOU WOULDN'T?!" Lyon yelled, fear in his voice.
"Ice shell?" Natsu asked confused
"STOP ALL THIS AT ONCE AND RETURN THE VILLAGERS TO NORMAL! AGREE AND I'LL STOP." Gray called out, the ice shell start up was already taking a toll on his body, he could feel his body freezing up.
"You wouldn't dare, GRAY!" Lyon was loosing it, there was no way Gray would use ice shell on him, that would only mean he would give his life. "I don't believe a word of it Gray, you're bluffing."
Natsu watched holding a hand above his face to block the wind from Grays magic.
"I'm not bluffing" Gray announced, "If it takes ice shell to stop you so be it"
"BUT YOU'LL DIE!" Lyon yelled back hoping Gray would come to the realization that his life would indeed end if he performed this magic.
Natsu's eyes widen, "WAIT GRAY! YOU'LL DIE?"
"Ur died because of me and its time I take responsibility, I'm not afraid to die." Gray responded
"You wouldn't, we'll die."
"That's the choice you will have to make Lyon, are you going to live or are you going to die?"
"YOU'RE NOT BRAVE ENOUGH"
"JUST WATCH ME! AAAAAAAAHHHH!" Gray put more magic power into his attack.
"GRAY STOP DON'T DO IT!" Natsu yelled
"The rest is up to you Natsu and the rest of the Fairy Tail gang, my time is up." Gray had tears streaming down his face but yet had a smile on his face on to dissapear and be knocked to the ground.
"I'm not going to let you throw your life away for this weasel, we'll find a way to destroy him." Gray looked at his friend confused, relieved, angry. "WHAT THE HELL MAN, I ALMOST HAD HIM" Natsu laughed nervously.
The ground started to rumbling leaving both Natsu and Gray stunned. "OH DAMMIT! WHAT NOW?" Natsu yelled
...
Lucy and Erza were still battling Lyon's robed minions when they too felt the rumbling, "No way" Lucy struggled to keep her balance.
"What's this?'' Erza question looking astonished at the circumstances.
"Look, it's the temple." Lucy pointed out.
"Oh no this can't be good." Erza said
"At least those robed idiots ran off."
"Yeah, I suppose, come on Lucy lets go find Natsu and Gray"
"Right"
Both girls ran towards the opening of the temple.
...
"Well this is bad, the temple is back to normal!" Gray grumbled coughing from the smoke.
Natsu pushed from rubble off himself, "Ugh dammit" He stomped creating another dust cloud causing Gray to cough again. He wiped his forehead on to see he was covered in blood.
"It thought I knocked the temple out of whack, how is it back? Natsu questioned.
"Where's Lyon?" Gray asked, but a strange voice caught both their attention.
" Sorry to interrupt" The masked man was standing on a ledge above them.
"This must have been your doing?" Lyon appeared holding his side, he had a deep gash above his left eye.
"Indeed it was, the moon should be out soon." the masked man answered.
"YOU KNOW I WENT THROUGH A LOT OF TROUBLE KNOCKED THIS TEMPLE ASKEW! Natsu yelled waving his fist in the air. "How'd you do it?"
"huh" the masked man noticed the pink haired wizard and laughed. "Now that everything seems to be back in order shall we commence the moon drip ceremony?" With that he ran off ,leaving Natsu fuming with rage. "HEY WAIT, YOU GET BACK HERE!" Natsu chased after the masked man "Gray you handle the ice guy okay! Oh when I get my hands on you i'm gonna burn you alive masked freak." Natsu said leaving Gray and Lyon.
"Tell me something, a second ago you were going to freeze us both, you counting on Natsu to stop me weren't you?" Gray asked his rival.
"No, I never thought he would dare come close to the ice shell" Lyon admitted
"So you were just gonna let me hit you then?"
"Exactly, someone would come to rescue me eventually?"
"Hmmm, should have known"
"Being sealed in ice would have caused some delay sure, but my comrades are devoted to this cause until the very end." Lyon said "As long as we are on this island and they can use the moon drip they can melt the ice whenever needed." Lyon laughed coldly
"I guess I didn't think of that" Gray said looking at the ground
" So do you still want to fight knowing your ice shell doesn't work and wont have a lasting effect?"
JUST FORGET ABOUT DELIORA!" Gray pleaded
"Oh Gray have we not been over this?"
"Shut up Lyon and listen, Ur is still alive." Gray said, Lyon froze in place as Gray spoke.
"Ice Shell doesn't kill it's caster, it uses their body to form a barrier. The ice keeping Deliora sealed away, which you intend to melt in actually our master Ur, she was never dead she lives on in the ice, Lyon please." Lyon gasps as the words Gray is telling him. "Sorry I never told you, Ur made me promised not to tell you but I see now that sometimes you have to break promises." Gray finished
"I see, Of course" Lyon said
"It's over now, you don't have to go through this." In seconds Lyon laughs and makes his way to Gray and places his hand on his chest, Grays eyes grow wide. "Ice Make Tiger" Lyon sent his attack through Grays chest sending him to the ground. Grunting in pain and spitting out a mouthful of blood Gray rolled over to his side to try and get up.
"You must be an idiot if you think you can beat me, this isn't over, it's only just beginning. Oh and I knew that's how Ice Shell works, what do you take me for?"
Gray was on his knees staring at Lyon with disgust and heartbreak. How? Why? What can he do?
"Ur isn't alive dear Gray, Deliora is just a block of ice ready to be melted away."
"Yo- you knew all along?" Gray stood ready to fight Lyon this time.
"Knowing is one thins believing is another."
"YOU KNEW AND YOU ARE STILL GOING THROUGH WITH THIS?" Gray seethed. "HOW DARE YOU, YOU BASTARD" Moving as fast as he could Gray send a full on punch at Lyon sending him flying into one of the temple walls. Blood dripped from Grays fist. Catching his breath he looked on to see Lyon.
"AHHHH, IMPOSSIBLE" Lyon yelled "HOW CAN YOU STILL MOVE AFTER MY LAST ATTACK?"
"I won't give up!"
"I have to fight Deliora soon, I don't have tome for this, I don't want to waste all of my magic energy." Lyon stood smiling a bloody smile.
"Then fight me without magic power"
"Oh fine by me" Lyon laughed
Gray charged at Lyon but he's too quick, catching Gray off guard Lyon lands a punch on his upper chest knocking him back. Gray goes for another attempt but Lyon was able to dodge that one too.
...
"HEY WOULD YOU GET BACK HERE" Natsu yelled "Come on freak show, just tell me how you fixed the temple!"
The masked man came to a stop in the middle on one the temple rooms, using his magic to create a hole in the ceiling, he used the rubble to attack Natsu. Natsu jumped out of the way. "Is that all you got?" Natsu taunted the masked wizard. The masked wizard then used his magic to put the pieces back together medning the hole he just created. "There you have it." he said
"What kind of crazy magic is that?" Natsu asked
"It's a lost magic, both it's strengths and it's side effects are powerful, which is why it's been erased from history."
"Wow! Seriously?"
"Your dragon slayer magic isn't much different is it not, both are ancient forms of magic."
"What, really? Dragon slayer magic is ancient?" he said, looking up for a response he noticed that the wizard was no where in sight. "Where did you go?"
...
Both Gray and Lyon sent blow after blow at one another, both were covered in each others blood including their own. Each punch came slower than the last as they were exhausted from previous battle. "What a shame, your fists are just as weak as you are" Lyon said landing a punch to the left side of Grays jaw. Gray was shaking with rage and exhaustion but he had to keep going. "THIS IS THE END GRAY" Lyon pick him up and slammed him into the wall. The pain caused his body to go numb. spitting blood his vision went blurry and a memory came to mind.
This fight, it reminds me of, Natsu, when we were kids, you always knew how to pick a fight with me, you never gave up either, you fought until we both could not fight anymore. Natsu, you flame brained idiot.
Gray pushed Lyon back. Both out of breath, "This fight..isn't over yet"
Lyon smirked "Dammit, I should have killed you earlier when I had the chance."
"AAAAAHHHHHHHH" They both yelled charging at each other.
"I WONT GIVE UP! NOT AGAINST NATSU AND AS SURE AS HELL NOT AGAINST YOU!" Gray grabbed Lon's arms holding them to his sides and with full force sends his head into his rivals knocking out. Gray fell to his knees and wiped the blood from his mouth once more. "Lyon, why?" he sobbed.
...
Inside the temple Lucy and Erza ran into Natsu and Happy.
"There you guys are, are you okay?" Natsu asked grabbing Lucy's hand.
The girls both nodded. "We're okay, Gray and Happy ran in after you a while ago did you see him?" Lucy said squeezing Natsu's hand.
"Yeah, I left him to fight the other ice guy, then that masked wizard should up after the temple fixed itself and I chased after him. He got away but his magic is able to destory and up things back together, I think. I just now ran into Happy."
"Yeah, Gray ditched me and I got lost, thankfully I ran into Natsu." Happy complained.
"I'm glad you're okay Happy." Lucy said.
"Aye"
"Now that we are all together lets find Gray and regroup." Erza announced.
"Good idea."
"Okay, I guess we will see if Gray was able to take out that other guy." Natsu said
"You know he has a name. It's Lyon." Lucy smacked Natsu's shoulder
"Ouch, hey what was that for."Lucy palmed her forehead.
"Aye Natsu" she said
Natsu lead the way back to Gray, the whole temple was crumbling after being moved around, they were all surprised it was still standing.
"Yo, Gray" Natsu called out once they reached the location where the fight began.
"Gray" Lucy shouted
"Gray, where are you?" Erza added
"Guys over here." Happy called them all over. Gray was passed out next to Lyon. "Are they dead?" Natsu asked
Erza bent down to check for a pulse. "They are both alive, but appear to be in critical condition. Lets tie up Lyon for now."
After a few moments Lyon was tied up and They had Gray propped up against some broken rubble. "Gray, Gray can you hear me?" Erza said lightly shaking his shoulders. Gray fluttered his eyes open.
"Huh? Where's Lyon?" Gray said trying to stand, but was stopped by multiple hands. "Don't worry Gray, you won the battle, we tied him up, you seem to be in bad shape how are you holding up?" Erza said
groaning in pain Gray looked over to see Lyon not far from them, he was passed out cold. They really did a number on each other. "I'm alive, but we need to stop Deliora from being revived, the ritual has started."
"Yes, we know, we came to check on you, now we just need to get to the top of them temple and stop the moonlight from fitting the ice." Erza said.
"Then come on, lets go." Natsu started to help Gray to his feet. "Just leave me here, please hurry."
Before anyone could talk a noise erupted from above.
"WHAT IS THAT NOISE?" Lucy yelled covering her ears as tightly as she could. Happy covered his ears immediately and burrowed himself into Lucy's hair.
"IT'S SO LOUD" Natsu said
"NO WAY?" Erza cursed
"SHIT! DELIORA, WE'RE TOO LATE." Gray panicked.
