When he was really young Lincoln Loud had felt that he didn't feel like he was special in regards to his siblings who had all those trophies and talents, he wished that he could achieve something big himself and well he had certainly did. After college he had managed to get an internship in the office of the state Senator and was actually quite good at it to his surprise. After a year working in a political office somewhat his siblings had gotten the idea since the age to sit as President of the United States was now 25 which he had just turned; that he should run for office as a 3rd party candidate.
He protested due to his lack of political experience (Luan had joked about how that hadn't stopped a previous President who didn't have any at all) but while talking with others who fought it would be fun as they had remarked that Lincoln might make a good leader since he was more honest than most politicians. He decided to go through with it for the hell of it with the senator who he was working for as his running mate.
However thanks to support Lori who had become a CEO of a major company, Luna who was now a big rockstar, Luan who was making it big as a stand up comic with specials on major streaming platforms and her own sitcom she created becoming a hit had worked her brother's campaign into a routine and pro sports star Lynn the campaign got bigger than expected.
The results were tallied and Lincoln had a massive shock along with his family when they heard the election results together and Lincoln had a massive lead in the major Swing States. He put on his best smile even as he was internally freaking out while being swung in.
Lincoln was now 4 months into his first term looking at a news report talking about how his birth was delivered by the First Lady at the time so he must have been blessed from birth to reach to the top of the US political tower. "How did they find out about that anyway?" Lincoln asked as then his assistant entered the office cheerfully waving to him.
Leni was Lincoln's main advisor assistant as the only other Loud with any real political experience and Lincoln raised an eyebrow at her. "Are you like still sore about the college thing Lincoln? I am still super sorry." Leni remarked apologetically as Lincoln sighed not wanting to be too hard on her.
Lincoln and his Vice President were talking with Congress and Senate members about support for a proposal to rework and take down the Electoral College system so that it was truly the most popular candidate that won. Trouble was that Leni misunderstood and let it slip so now his Press Secretary was hard at work trying to soothe things over with the outcry thinking that he was trying to ban colleges all together.
"It's fine Lori but do you have anything for me?" Lincoln asked and Leni nodded eagerly.
"Well Luan wants to talk to you about helping to clear up everything to the press." Leni explained and Lincoln knew that she was referring to Luan a few weeks ago on a live special had made jokes about her brother's administration and so it made it sound like Luan Loud was at odds with her President brother. Her attempted apology to clear things up was seen by some people as thinking that she had been coerced her brother's administration to issue the apology. It was so bad that even Spitting Image the political satirical puppet sketch show in British (with hideous unflattering puppets) got in on the action portraying the two of them as having hated eachother since Lincoln was born.
"Plus how about my proposal for a new fashionable color for your house Linky?" Leni asked as Lincoln smiled shaking her head.
"For the thousandth time Leni the White House is a cherished monument and there would be mobs wanting my head if we painted the place!" Lincoln exclaimed tired but then there was call coming from the phone and it was from the home of his sister Luna. He answered it and on the other end was his sister in law Sam Sharp-Loud who was asking if he was distracting her favourite and only brother in law from his important job. "Hey Sam it's fine, say is Luna still upset about the whole Inauguration thing?" Lincoln asked casually. Luna had been upset and hurt when Lincoln refused to let her and her band perform at his Inauguration Ceremony so they were yet to be on speaking terms again.
"Don't worry about it Lincoln, deep down Luna knows that it had to be treated seriously and she feels guilty about overreacting so she is just acting up the courage to apologise to you in person. Until the is keeping herself busy with the band and fighting with Lori and Luan about the name thing." Sam replied as Lincoln managed a laugh. Luna and Sam had told the family that they were hoping to adopt soon and if they have a boy to name it Lincoln after his special uncle but then Lori butted in saying that they couldn't because she planned for her and her now husband Bobby's first son to be named Lincoln and there couldn't cousins with the same name like that. Luan joined in the argument as the oldest daughters sans Leni were arguing over who got to named their oldest son after Lincoln.
"Plus I just remembered but Dad wants to speak to you about his taxes." Leni brought up and Lincoln sighed shaking his head. Just let his family TRY and make him run for a 2nd term...
Please no political discourse in the reviews as I don't want to have to delete or block people, apart from a certain joke I didn't want to allude to real life politicians. No matter where you are politics is a mess business much stranger than fiction as evidenced that Boris Johnson the leader of the island where I live is in serious trouble over a party which just might throw him out of his home in Downing Street.
I am open to AUs ideas (if you have any please send by PM and not in the reviews) such as what if Lincoln had the siblings from the episode White Hare (inspired by another fanfic), what if Lori was Lincoln's only sister plus NSL or Brawl in the Family styled stories. I understand if you are sick of those type of fics but if I do end up doing those for chapters then please feel free to ignore it.
