The Maid's Infatuation Act 4- Unease

Me and my Master have been working for about an hour now.

My arm hurts but I refuse to stop, for my Master's sake.

I'm half way through my pile of papers.

He's 3 quarters through his own.

I need to push harder to finish at the same time.

Ignoring the pain I get while doing so, I begin to sign as fast as I can to catch up.

I'm on the last paper.

There's a knock at the door which causes my to drop my pen on the floor.

"Come in!" My Master calls.

The door opens as I'm retrieving the pen.

"Kenji!" My Master say as I return to an attentive position.

"Haruto!" The man now in the office replies.

They greet each other so casually.

I guess they're friends?

"How have things been?" My Master asks.

"Same as they've always been..." Kenji retorts, as his eyes drift over to me.

I quickly focus down on the paper and sign it.

With that done, I have nothing to do, so I find myself staring out the window.

"Who's she?"

"Dido, my new secretary."

"Is she a Maid?"

"Yes. Is that a problem?"

I hear whispering, but don't pay attention to it.

"Hey."

Suddenly, the man known as Kenji is in front of my desk.

"H-how can I be of service?" I timidly ask.

"I don't want anything." Kenji stands imposingly. "You have no reason to be scared."

I remain silent.

He says that, yet his very presence scares me.

"So, Dido, how long you been a secretary?" He looks at me in a somewhat sinister way.

I swallow my fear and muster a reply.

"1 day..." I quietly answer.

"Ah, I see..." Kenji's attempts at being friendly only upset the atmosphere more. "How do you like Haruto?"

"Who?" I look around inquisitively.

"Him." He points at my Master.

I immediatey blush and look at the floor.

"H-he's nice..." I notice that my voice is barely audible.

"What was th-"

"Kenji, that's enough pestering her." My Master interjects.

Thank you.

"Alright, have a nice day." He pats my back.

"Y-you too..." I try to reply.

I feel my eyes water for a reason I can't discern.

What now?

Suddenly, it hits me.

Kenji, he...undid...my bra...

I stand up and quickly rush out of the office without a word.

"Dido!"

I ignore my Master's call and try to find a place to be alone.

Somehow, I made it to my room.

I frantically try to use my keys on the door.

"Come on, come on..." I mutter.

Finally it opens and I burst in.

Quickly, I shut the door and take the keys back.

Now I'm in, I slide down the door and break into a silent cry.

Why did he do that?

Ugghhh!

My first day as a secretary was a disaster.

"Dido?"

A voice calls to me through the door, followed by a gentle knock.

I scramble upright and timidly open the door.

The girl on the other side gives me a smile.

I...recognize her...

"Can I come in, sister?" It's her.

"Black Prince!" I exclaim as I open the door fully and embrace her.

"Dido..." She returns the hug.

After a few seconds we break and I take her into my room.

"What happened?" Black looks at me with a strong sense of concern.

"Master...he had a friend...or someone in his office." I try not to cry too much.

"And?" She hugs me again.

"And he...got uncomfortably close...to me..." I lean into her.

"Oh, Dido..." She strokes my hair, much like my Master.

"That's not all...he...undid...my...bra..." I feel my face heat up.

"Really?" Black Prince sounds agitated.

"Yes..." I reach into my uniform and pull it out.

Upon seeing it, I start crying again.

"Dido...it's okay..." She pats my head, tenderly.

"I couldn't even tell the Master...I just ran." I tell her.

Like he would care about a Maid...

"It's not easy, Dido...I don't blame you." She continues to comfort me.

I wake up to find my Doll in my arms.

That's right I left her in my Master's office.

I feel a lump in my throat at the mention of that place.

I focus on the Doll.

You need a name...

"Hmm..." I ponder aloud.

"Hina!" I come to a conclusion.

My Doll is called Hina.

I hug her again, finding great comfort in doing so.

My eyes drift to my sword, hanging on the wall.

I have yet to use you.

When will I get the chance to demonstrate my combat capabilities?

It's up to my Master...

I sit up and realize it's dark outside.

Was I really sleeping for that long?

"Hina, I'm sorry for leaving you alone so much..." I stare at her.

Her button eyes stare back.

However, it is a relaxing feeling.

I end up playing with her, moving her arms up and down and swaying back and forth.

I then hug her again.

She needs to be with me as much as possible.

Hina will protect me...

"Won't you?" I ask her.

No reply.

"Yes, that's what I thought." I clip her to my uniform again and slip out of bed.

Maybe we'll just go for a stroll?

No, I don't know this place at all.

I don't want to get lost.

Maybe someone who knows this place well is still awake?

I take my keys and exit the room.

The bright hallway temporarily blinds me.

I begin to navigate around the residence, keeping my eyes and ears out for any potential signs of life.

Turning a corner, I end up at the entrance lobby.

Looks like Belfast is snoozing on one of the seats.

Heh, for a Head Maid, she sure does look like a slacker here.

Though I can't say much, I went with Sirius that day and avoided work.

I carefully descend the stairs and stand in front of the sleeping Belfast.

Should I disturb her?

"Mmmmmnnnnn..." She fidgets a bit.

Best to let her sleep, I believe.

As quietly as possible, I open the door to the outside and exit, closing the doo gently as well.

It's a warm-ish night.

Not cold enough to warrant a coat.

Not warm enough to deny sleep.

I begin walking around this base that I have zero familiarity with.

I just hope Hina will help with my self imposed tour.
