1: Twilight
It was approaching twilight hour and she found herself seated all by her lonesome at some random park that was just off the edge of the still bustling city and the sketchier part of town. Naruto's been in this world for about 1 year and it scared her how fast it seemed she was adjusting to life here. It was so different from her old home (yet so similar) it made her feel sick to the core. The buildings here were too big and too cramped and the lights never turned off for anyone.
Naruto sighed and leaned back to watch the rest of the sun bleed into skyline. Japan was really a weird place- during her time here she had the privilege of learning about how society worked. The man who took her in, while she was still running amok and desperately trying to find a way home, had graciously taught her about things like heroes and villains. Naruto truly wonders that if she grew up here in Japan- would the people think of her as a demon too?
She lightly clutched at the phone in her hand and the illumination of the small device along with the numbers that read 8:23 PM glared back at her as if it were mocking her for being used to this. She could almost hear Tsukauchi's voice repeating one of the many rules of this society in her head, "There's a curfew for minors but you can go explore the city, you just have to make sure you're on your way back before 10 PM Naruto." Japan had so many rules and regulations, not to mention heroes, yet the crime rates here were still unbelievably high for such a small mass of land.
Like a curse, Naruto thinks back to the first day she had landed here too. The screaming of a woman being roughly grabbed by some man who looked like he had one too many drinks. Bystanders not batting an eye and walking through as if it wasn't their problem to deal with (Naruto now understood well that the citizens here rely too much on heroes to miraculously come and fix everything, just like she used to). She remembers the feeling of her angry, trembling hands as she watched society move on while this woman was pleading for someone to help her. A true hero would act before thinking. And so Naruto acted.
Little did she know that her life, from here on out, would change for better or for worse, she couldn't really tell. Naruto had subdued the man, saved the woman, and then was taken to the police station for doing something that everyone else was too scared to do. Heroes and civilians here were alike, one big joke. She vaguely recalls her first meeting with Naomasa Tsukauchi who was assigned her case. One of the other officers, the one who had brought her in, leered at her, called her a no-good vigilante and then told her that her use of her quirk, whatever that was, was illegal.
Naruto remembers the feeling of disgust bubbling up in her chest and also when she had to bite her tongue back before she exploded on this country's flawed justice system. She was one tick away from ruining everyone's day until a tall man named Tsukauchi stepped in and forced the other officer out of her holding room. "I'm sorry about him, what you did was brave and just." Damn right it was.
The police station had a ball trying to figure out why there was no such thing as someone named Uzumaki Naruto in their system until Naruto tried to explain to them that she wasn't from this world. They laughed up to the moment that Tsukauchi told them she wasn't lying. And everything was history from there on.
Now Naruto's been here for a little over 1 year, has a very smart rat checking in on her every now and then, and she's embarrassed to say that she's gotten used to doing things like using her phone and taking the public transport to random places in Japan until the very last minute of her curfew.
Tsukauchi and the rat had arranged everything for her stay here to be, at the very least, comfortable. Naruto will admit that she's grown attached to the man who, despite her distaste for the police and Japan's ridiculous rules, worked on the same side of the law in which she has strongly disapproved of since day one of being here. Tsukauchi's coworkers would agree that the feelings of distaste were mutual because of the vigilantism she would continue to do in spite of these laws. Her opinions on Nedzu would be left unsaid, but she did feel a twinge of relatability when he had told her about the things humans did to him a long time ago.
The clock on Naruto's phone glared at her- nonverbally warning her that it was almost time to go home or else her ears would be chewed out again by a worried Tsukauchi. She vaguely recalls the events of the last time she came home late with light bruises forming on her knuckles and her clothes slightly ruffled and out of array- his words were something along the lines of "it's dangerous for a girl to be alone at night" or "it doesn't matter how strong you think you are Naruto- it's still dangerous". That level of concern for her wellbeing was definitely not something she was used to.
Naruto sighs and lets herself be picked up by the breeze rustling the newly fallen leaves. It was a cold night. She packed away her meager belongings and prepared to Hiraishin her way home, unspoken was the thought that one day she'll finally be able to get this damn thing to take her back to Konoha.
Suddenly a haunting scream reached her ears and Naruto violently pauses because that was the familiar sound of someone who was not spared by a cruel death. She could feel the bile nearly reach her throat as her nose picked up the scent of blood and a hint of ash. What the hell was happening.
Against everything she had been taught in the past year- Naruto ran towards the heart of the calamity only to be met by someone's home crumbling into debris and dust right before her eyes. A kid who couldn't have been older than 5 was screaming in the middle of it all as his world was disintegrating right at his fingertips. She could already feel the hurt of impending pain that was soon to come but Naruto did the first thing her body told her to do. Run.
She ran, scooped the screaming child and tightly held him in her arms before he could do anymore damage to himself. It must have been his quirk that was causing this chaos around because the child was frantically pushing her away and every time his finger tips touched her skin a part of her began to crumble as well. "GET AWAY!" The child screamed over and over and Naruto praised the lord that her endless supply of chakra and Uzumaki bloodline was miraculously healing her just as quickly as he was taking pieces of her away. The child screamed and cried until his throat was raw and finally before he passed out due to exhaustion, he told her the exact words she needed to hear, "Please, save me.". So Naruto did.
Once the child was no longer thrashing his tiny body around, Naruto wrapped his bloodied hands in the ripped cloth of the, gulp, new shirt Tsukauchi had bought her to replace the other one she ripped up while doing minor vigilante work. Tsukauchi was hopefully not going to kill her once he saw the little kid and she tells him about what happened.
Tired, Naruto had summoned the last of her energy to Hiraishin the little boy and herself to the homely apartment she had shared with Tsukauchi. As soon as she dropped the kid onto her messy bed, Naruto found herself laying face flat next to him and immediately slipping out of consciousness. This was something tomorrow's Naruto would have to deal with.
Naruto woke up in a cold sweat and quickly recalled the events of last night. She was no longer in her own room but hooked up to an IV line in the hospital. Her panic was immediately quelled when she saw that the child she saved was situated in the bed next to her own. She was about to let out a sigh of relief when the door to their room slid open, revealing a tired looking Tsukauchi who was holding 2 cups of what she assumed was water.
A deafening silence permeated the white and pristine room as Naruto tried to ease the awkwardness with a smile, "I can explain?" She weakly offered.
"You nearly scared the shit out of me Naruto." Naruto tried to hold up both of her hands in a position to show Tsukauchi that she was surrendering but her left arm, the one that she held the child in, wouldn't move much to her dismay. "Please explain to me what the hell happened yesterday and who that child is."
Naruto gulped, her throat feeling especially dry after the events of yesterday. "I was at a park on the other side of town," she started talking after taking a sip from one of the cups Tsukauchi had brought in earlier- "I was about to head home when I heard a scream and then my body just ran directly towards the scream-" Naruto heard Tsukauchi let out a small groan and mutter 'of course' under his breath, if it were any other situation she would be cackling at him, "that's when I found the kid standing in the middle of a house that was pretty much leveled to the ground."
Naruto sat in quiet thought as Tsukauchi took in her words with a disgruntled look on his face. "He must have activated his quirk." The older male mumbled. "Any signs of family or anyone around him?" She shook her head.
"I think his quirk is to disintegrate anything he touches..." Including people, was left unsaid. "Please don't let him be taken away, he's just a kid, he asked me to save him-" Naruto quickly felt her breath shorten, "I promised I would bring him back!" she found herself saying for some reason.
She gulped down the rest of the water "Naruto you're still a kid too-" the acidic feeling of bile ran up her throat, "this isn't a decision you're allowed to make-" Her heart was beginning to pound loudly in her ears, "it's beyond our control-"
"Naruto look at me!" Tsukauchi seizes her shoulders and Naruto is startled out of her near panic attack. She quickly grabbed the trash bin placed beside her bed and emptied the contents of her stomach into it as something wet begins to freely roll down her cheeks. Naruto felt the ghosting feeling of a larger hand consoling her back as she trembled in the bed next to the sleeping child.
Naruto hated feeling as useless as she did in that moment. "Can we please save him?" She finds herself asking weakly.
Tsukauchi pulls her tired body into a tight hug, "Yes we can save him."
Good. "I don't want to fail him too." If Tsukauchi heard the last part of her mumbling he didn't mention it. Naruto felt sleep overtake her body again as her caretaker gently put her back down onto the bed.
The second time she came to, a heavy weight was weighing down directly on her abdomen and the feeling of something tiny flanking her left side. Naruto opened her eyes and was met face to face with Nedzu who, not surprisingly enough, was standing on top of her, and the child she saved was sleeping while tucked between her left arm and her body, she finds out that it's been a few days since she was last awake and the kid had woken up not too shortly after she passed out that second time. "Welcome back to reality Naruto." The rat nefariously smiled. "You and little Tenko over there caused quite a debacle for us adults these past few days." Lots of paperwork too she hoped.
Naruto sheepishly grinned and moved her arms and body in a position that let her cradle little Tenko, "Ah my bad-" and Tsukauchi immediately lets out a deep, exasperated sigh. She absent mindlessly tussled Tenko's ashy colored hair, "so what happens to us now?" Is Tenko safe?
Nedzu, no matter how frank and annoying the rodent may be to her, at least gives her answers she actually wants to hear, "He's staying with you and Detective Naomasa until we figure out what happens to him-" Naruto was about to open her mouth to argue that Tenko would NOT, under any circumstance, be leaving her side until Nedzu interrupts her train of thought again, "but knowing the two of you, and especially being familiar with you and your excessively bleeding heart, we're going to try to force The Commission to let him stay with you."
"He's already too attached to you for us to send him away, and it looks like you're the only one who's healing capabilities can keep up with his quirk anyways." Naruto grins at that, she's always had a penchant for befriending, and keeping, strays and for once she's glad to have these monster chakra reserves and Uzumaki blood in her.
"Good because I'm keeping him," she says with satisfaction until Tsukauchi reminds her that Tenko was not a stray dog she could just proclaim to keep like that, but that didn't take away from the fact that the kid was now hers regardless. "I don't care, he's my kid now." Naruto softly ruffled his hair.
Tenko stirs awake in her arms and asks in such a tiny voice that pierced directly through her heart, "Is Naruto awake yet?" Not minding the IV still stuck in her arm, Naruto engulfed the kid in a giant hug and smothered him in the kind of love and affection she knew he needed.
"Yeah little Dust Bunny, I'm awake."
Tenko had fit into her and Tsukauchi's daily lives like a much needed glove on a cold winter day. Naruto forced herself to be present in many of the trials and meetings regarding her kid's wellbeing. After 4 long months of battling The Commission for ideal arrangements, Tenko had been granted permission to stay with Tsukauchi and her permanently. Under the condition that in 2 months- Naruto passes U.A.'s hero entrance exam in top 10, makes it into the Hero Course, and maintains her position in top 10 until she graduated. Then, and only then, would full guardianship would be passed to Tsukauchi and/or Naruto herself.
Naruto didn't know whether to kiss or murder the rat who negotiated for these very specific conditions but they were better than losing rights to be with Tenko forever. The other requirements that needed to be met, at least until Tenko's guardianship transfer included: weekly training for Tenko by The Commission, which Naruto almost violently protested until they all came to the agreement that it would be best if Naruto was there considering the nature of her advanced self-healing abilities and Tenko's destructive quirk, weekly reports of both of their improvements to The Commission and an assigned monitor for if the two of them ever wanted to go out, among other things that she honestly deemed petty and irrelevant.
Tsukauchi and Nedzu quickly assure her that these were genuinely favorable conditions for their circumstances and Naruto can't help but agree, no matter how much she resented how it sorely reminded her of what they did in Konoha as well.
"Naruto!" Upon hearing Tenko's cheery voice, Naruto brightens up almost immediately, she watches Tenko release his small gloved hand from Tsukauchi's and run directly into her open arms as she scoops him up into a small, twirling hug.
It's been 4 months since the accident and Tenko was somewhat proudly, and successfully, coaxed out of his former shell of anxiety and nervousness by one Uzumaki Naruto, "Hey little Dust Bunny, how was grocery shopping with Tsukauchi?" Tenko begins to recount all of the cool hero toys he saw at the market and how they parted ways with the 'stinky commission man' right before coming home. Naruto laughs and continues to coddle the boy while he recounted every single detail of what happened today, at least until Tsukauchi declared that it was time to eat dinner.
Naruto put her little Dust Bunny down and holds his hand all the way to the dinner table. He scratches a light pinkish colored rash that was beginning to form on his arm and although Tenko still itches and scratches himself every now and then, by Naruto's pushy insistence- The Commission is forced to find a doctor who prescribes her boy the necessary medication for his allergies and hand cream that can at least help soothe some of his pain.
Some nights Naruto finds herself cradling a whimpering, and sometimes sobbing, Tenko when the medicine suddenly stops working or if the cream isn't enough to stop everything from hurting him, and these were the same nights when Naruto absolutely resented the fact that her chakra wasn't able to heal anyone but herself.
One night, shy just a few weeks until U.A.'s entrance exam, Naruto is woken to the fragile sight of Tenko's tiny body shaking as violent tears are trailing down his face. She cradles him and asks him what was wrong, her heart nearly shatters into a million pieces when she hears him cry, "I had a dream that you weren't there to save me." And Naruto never, never, wants to hear anyone tell her words like those again.
"I'll always be here to save you Tenko- it's a promise." She reassures him over and over until the line separating Tenko and herself begins to blur. It's a dark and gnawing feeling, however, Naruto can't help but wonder what in the world she would even do if Hiraishin does take her home one day. Naruto continues to console her delicate kid until his breathing evens out and he falls asleep in her arms.
Honestly, she thinks, Tenko was the one who saved her.
March 22nd comes much too quickly for her tastes. Naruto is sent off at the large entrance of U.A. by Tsukauchi holding one Tenko, who is teary-eyed and definitely not used to Naruto being away from him this early in the day, in his arms. The two of them wave Naruto off until they are out of her sight for real.
She sighed and a little bit of her still couldn't believe that they were forcing her to go through their world's version of a Chunin Exam. But Naruto vowed that she would do anything if it meant that she could secure Tenko's future.
The first part was the written exam, Naruto wasn't an idiot per-say but a lot of her time as a kid was spent far away from books (which she never had access to anyways) and more on wanting to get an entire village, that pretty much hated her guts, to acknowledge her existence.
By a stroke of luck Naruto had been picked off of the streets by one of the smartest people she had the pleasure of knowing in this world and she was introduced to a rat with super intelligence. Needless to say, she had very little to worry about regarding the entrance exam.
The second part of the exam seemed like a breeze too. Naruto paid little attention to the rules of the exam, her mind and body was just itching to beat things up and leave some names behind. Within her immediate vision was some brooding, black haired guy with the worst eye bags she's ever seen. On one side of him was a blond who was grinning his way through the professor's explanation of round two, and on the other side was someone blue haired and equally as happy as the blond, if not more.
They reminded Naruto of her old Team 7 and she almost let out a laugh when the black haired boy of their trio looked like he was going to be engulfed in his own cloud of depression. Her hypersensitive hearing picks up the other two asking him what he was going to do since his quirk wasn't going to work on robots. The black haired one responded that he already had a back-up plan.
The trio left her mind as quickly as they entered it and Naruto was left to be ushered into one of the zones that she was assigned to. This was going to be a piece of cake and she would come out of this in top 10 or her name wasn't Uzumaki Naruto.
Just as she predicted, the practical portion of the exam was easy business. Nedzu had told her that when she was (illegally) naturalized as a citizen of Japan, her quirk was listed as inner and outer energy manipulation, which let her do almost anything within the realm of her chakra. She felt like a cheat code here but upon explanation that there has been cases of people with multiple quirks or even stock-piling type quirks that allowed them to copy other powers, and that was enough to remove any feeling of guilt she might've had.
Naruto went all out, for the sake of herself and Tenko. She indiscriminately took out robots left and right and with the help of her shadow clones, escorted those who were overwhelmed by the exam to a safer place where here clones could continue to protect them until the 10 minutes of the exam were up. At the end, Naruto stands on top of a pile of unresponsive robots and proudly declares, "I'm Uzumaki Naruto and I'm going to become the Hokage- I mean number one hero, you better believe it!" she trips up a bit but still manages to grin through the aftermath everyone's shock and awe.
Naruto would later abashedly admit to taking that one out of All Might's book.
In a different room filled with monitors and a full round table of teachers, a mischievous glint reaches Nedzu's eyes as he looks around at the bewildered expressions of the current U.A. teachers.
"T-That female student is currently holding the record for highest entrance exam score in the history of U.A.-" Someone stuttered.
Nedzu looks at Naruto's stats and hums, her written exam scores could still use some work before they would be perfect but at least her practical exam was passed with flying colors plus ultra. He couldn't wait to see what other chaos this dimension travelling girl would bring to their world.
He eyed another application, Aizawa Shouta, who had passed the written exam with a near perfect score but too bad the practical exam was severely ill fitted for someone with a quirk like his. The kid seemed to know that too considering how he also applied to be in the General Education Course. There were a few other applications that caught his eyes, Iida Tensei, Yamada Hizashi and Shirakumo Oboro. Nedzu declared in his head that these four, plus the wayward girl, would be future heroes worth watching out for.
The exams were finally over and Naruto waits at the entrance of U.A. with her arms crossed over waiting for Tsukauchi and Tenko to come pick her up. She hears a familiar and loud voice call out. "Hey! You're the crazy girl from the practical exam!" Naruto turns around to see the trio from before, the blond one was frantically waving at her with one hand while the other one was supporting their limp and energy-less friend. "You were insane in there! Shouta, Oboro, she's the one I was telling you about with the clones and the shouting!"
Naruto felt her face heat up, "Hey don't mention that!" She cried, "It was already embarrassing enough for me to do it!" The blond and blue haired boys were the only ones who laughed, "What's up with Mr. Gloomy over there?" she couldn't help but ask.
The blue haired one, who had previously introduced himself as Shirakumo Oboro, explained that his friend here wasn't able to get a single point because his quirk only worked on real people and not robots. Naruto ah-ed and felt somewhat bad for the guy who only glared at his friends for going and telling random strangers his entire life story.
"Jokes aside, you seriously killed it in there Miss Uzumaki Naruto, future number one hero." Naruto blushed again and covered her face in total embarrassment. "You should have seen her, she was jumping around throwing balls of pure blue energy at those robots and her clones were saving people left and right- it was awesome!"
Naruto was about to open her mouth to make a retort when a tiny voice interrupted their conversation, "That's so cool!" The four quickly whip their heads around to the source of the sound.
Naruto cried out, "Tenko, my little Dust Bunny!" and watched as Tenko squirmed out of Tsukauchi's arms and ran directly into her own, the two naturally did their little spinning hug and Naruto nestled the happy kid into her arms.
"Tell me more about Nee-chan!" Naruto was almost taken aback because that was the first time Tenko'd called her that in the past 5- almost 6- months of knowing him. Tsukauchi simply shrugged when she gave him a questioning look.
Naruto sighed and shot a sheepish smile at Hizashi who only grinned back at the two of them, "Of course Little Listener- your big sis here was the coolest one out there!"
Tenko had eagerly listened to Hizashi gush about her performance during their practical exam and the other three males listened in with equally piqued interest.
Tsukauchi's car had been well within sight when Naruto put out the suggestion that they all got an early dinner together. Her idea was met with a positive reaction and Naruto found herself at a restaurant flanked by Tenko on one side and Tsukauchi on the other side, while the trio of buddies sat across from them.
Shouta honestly hadn't been too psyched about the impending results of the entrance exams. All he wanted to do was go home and sleep it off, but free food was free food. He was dragged against his will by Hizashi and Oboro while the louder of his two friends raved on and on about some girl that took the test in the same zone as him during their practical exam, "You gotta listen to me here, it was absolutely crazy, she was insanely overpowered!" he said or something like that. "Wait that's her over there!"
The next thing he knew, Shouta was dragged, once again against his will, to a restaurant with his 2 friends, that Uzumaki girl and her family consisting of the little kid, who grinned a lot and called himself Shimura Tenko and some cheery looking older guy who introduced himself as their caretaker Naomasa Tsukauchi, an officer who was currently off duty.
Once Hizashi had hit a limit on how much praise he could give the blonde haired girl, the four of them began to discuss the entrance exam. Shouta laments a little about the practical being totally impractical and the other three seemed to agree with him, Uzumaki's reaction honestly surprised him the most.
When asked, the only thing she said was "I guess I know a thing or two about having to take unfair tests…" and, "I'm sure an opportunity will come up, that'll let you to transfer into the Heroics Class- the U.A. principal is sadistic but he's not that cruel." He wanted to ask her how she knew that but decided against it- too many things were going on at once and it was really draining his energy. Instead, Shouta vowed that after this dinner, he was going to sleep in for the next 3 consecutive days.
Before dinner is over, by Hizashi's insistence, the three of them exchange contact information with Naruto and a group chat is created because- "Us heroes need to stick together through thick and thin!"
It wasn't a bad idea, but Shouta could already feel that being friends with Naruto was going to quickly drain one of his, already few, social energy bars. But there wasn't much he would be able to do about it because once Hizashi's mind was made up, it was made up.
The group parts ways not soon after dinner and Naruto is the first to send a message to their chat. It's a picture of her and Tenko making silly faces, that kind of looked like really bad impressions of All Might, and Hizashi is the first to respond with 17 different emojis to symbolize that he was laughing. Oboro sends a curt "Cute!" and Shouta just sends a thumbs up.
A lot has happened in the past year and a half that keeps Naruto busy and distracted from the fact that she had long reached a dead end as to why Hiraishin wasn't bringing her back or why Kurama no longer responded to her. Sometimes she would try to reach into the depths of the seal that separated her from Kurama, only to be blocked by a dark, ominous cloud, and no one there to respond to her questions. It was equally as frustrating as it was worrying. Kurama and the Hiraishin were the only clues she had to her dimension skipping catastrophe and now one of them disappeared and the other one could only lead her to her room in her shared apartment with Tsukauchi and Tenko.
The only other beings that knew about the peculiarities of her predicament were the higher-ups in The Commission, Tsukauchi and his superiors, and Nedzu. However, only Nedzu and Tsukauchi knew about Kurama, what happened to her in Konoha, and about how she probably couldn't, and a little bit of her wouldn't want to, go back there anyways.
Naruto remembers Nedzu having a lot of strong words to say about how, even in other dimensions, some humans were just despicable, and though she hated to do so, Naruto couldn't help but agree with him.
Tsukauchi just sat there frowning about the story of her tragic childhood. He only says one thing that shakes her to the core of her very being, "People are the reason why our society is severely flawed," She hears her own heartbeat in the silence, "these Villains we fight against aren't born that way naturally- they're just the result of the way society had treated them until now." Tsukauchi apologizes for the actions of Konoha and Naruto can only shake her head and reassure him that literally none of that was his fault.
Tenko had been soundly sleeping in her lap when their conversation had gone as sour as it did. They silently come to a mutual agreement that things would be completely different if the young boy had been one of the many victims of this imperfect world they lived in.
Naruto's first year at U.A. is, needless to say, strange. Because of her stellar scores she'd been placed in the Heroics Class 1-A with Oboro and Hizashi. Shouta, as they all expected, missed the mark to get into the Heroics Class because of the practical exam, and had to suffer through general education instead.
Their little trio is quickly turned into a quartet when they add one Iida Tensei to their group chat, he's a little stiff at times and sends weird emojis but he has a really good heart and the same kind of passion for heroics as the rest of them did.
Along the line, the five of them petitioned to the principal, that rat bastard, to, at the very least, give people with quirks like Shouta one shot to try to transfer into the Heroics Course. Their call for change, along with their unbelievably annoying persistence (as Nedzu put it), was responded with a- "We can arrange a test after they show us what they're capable of during U.A.'s most coveted event: The Sports Festival." And that was enough for Shouta.
Sometime during that school year, Tenko had happily welcomed 4 more older brothers into his little dictionary of family. He was unbelievably happy to find that his big bro Shouta could temporarily use his quirk on him to make the itching stop for a while. Her little brat loved being coddled by Hizashi, was ecstatic to go on shoulder rides given by one Tensei, and Oboro was happy to be with them, enough to often make clouds that could take Tenko on little trips, much to Tsukauchi's dismay of course.
The year was filled with more ups than downs, and so much had happened just within in the first 6 months of being at U.A.. Naruto's 2 year anniversary of landing in Japan as well as her 16th birthday had been inching closer and closer and her roadblock had never been touched or resolved since the last time she had that conversation with Tsukauchi and Nedzu.
"I think I want to tell Tensei, Shouta, Hizashi, and Oboro about my dimension skipping and a little bit about Konoha." She says- her birthday is coming up soon and she thinks they had the right to know as her friend. Tsukauchi thinks that it's good she's taking the first step. Nedzu thinks it's a smart idea and that she should add Tenko to that list cause the boy was smart enough to understand.
And so she tells them as they're celebrating her 16th birthday and 2nd year anniversary of landing in the heart of Japan. It takes them a little while to take it all in. But, like usual, Hizashi breaks the slightly awkward silence and screams, "Dimension skipping huh, that's sounds pretty cool!"
Naruto then finds herself easily bombarded with questions that seem to take her ages to find good answers to. The last question, which came from Oboro's contemplative lips, seemed to put her at a pause with her own inner thoughts, "Do you think you'd ever want to go back to Konoha Naru-chan?" Naruto thinks about it for a second and looks at Tsukauchi for confirmation of some kind, one affirmative nod from him and she decides to also tell them the story of a lonely orphan named Uzumaki Naruto.
A/N: Hi! I'm back with another crossover fic! As you read this, I'm probably writing chapter 2 haha. There's a lot I want to go over about this story so I'll make it as brief as possible.
1) Yes, it's a Fix-It-Fic but unfortunately Naruto can't fix everyone. As the title suggests all of her encounters are circumstantial and a bunch of what-if's get thrown around in my head.
2) Tenko is a kid right now! This takes place before canon and someone actually becomes the hero he's needed since day 1.
3) Naruto and her entourage have trauma... Considering everything they've gone through it would be weird for them to NOT have any.
4) Oboro is cool and I don't want him to die.
5) Some dark stuff gets addressed in this fic but as of right now, I don't know how deeply I'm willing to explore said themes.
Thoughts? Opinions? Ideas? Also sorry for any mistakes you may find.. See you in chapter 2 ^^!
