Chapter 15: CJ

Its been almost two months since Charles found me. Its been hard getting used to not looking over my shoulder.
Edward promised me Charles would not return. but after years of abuse, it was hard to believe that.
CJ and Carlisle have been inseperable. I can't say I'm not a little jealous that my baby boy, who WAS attached to my hip has now moved on to someone else. But I don't blame him. Carlisle has been so amazing with him. He gets up in the night to take care of him, he watches him while I am resting, which has been alot since Charles was here. I haven't been sleeping very well at all.
Edward and CJ have gotten closer as well. When Carlisle is at work I can almost always find CJ with Edward. Whether he is playing quietly while Edward is playing his piano, or sleeping on his bed while Edward does homework. There is time during the day now that Edward has gone back to school where its just me and CJ.
I love those times. He is growing so fast. He started crawling when he was just 6 months. Edward surprised me yesterday when CJ walked over to me in the kitchen. My baby boy is walking! I feel like time is going much too fast now.
But I love seeing him grow and become a little person. His own little person. Its amazing to see him learn new things. Its like you can see the gears turning in his head as he slowly figures out something new. Whether carrying two things at one time. Climbing onto a bed. Playing matching cards with Carlisle. He is growing and it makes me so sad to think he won't be this little anymore.
I sighed as I watched him sleeping. Carlisle had gotten him a toddler bed with dinosaurs on it. He loves it. He spends most of his time now playing on his bed.
I heard the alarm downstairs chirp. I tensed and looked at the clock, then relaxed when I saw I lost track of the time. Carlisle is home. Before I could even get to the door I was in his arms, I giggled and curled into his comforting embrace.
Content to just be with my family.

man it has been forever since ive been on here. lets see. we moved in february 2019 to a new house. i got a puppy in march '19 and she is an angel (most of the time, her pic is my new profile picture) we got a new cheif manager at work so my work schedule has been more regular ish. i kinda lost my mojo to write for a while so its been super boring. i have so many stories saved on my laptop that only have like 3-4 chapters. i just cant get my mojo to finish them. but i came across this one and more ideas popped into my head for esme and carlisle. i hope i havent lost all of you guys. if i have i totally understand. hope you guys are staying safe.
