Chapter 16: New

Epov

Its been two years since I found Carlisle and Edward. Two wonderful years.

Edward and Carlisle told me what they were after I recovered from Charles' attack. It makes so much sense now, why Carlisle never aged, why Edward was able to stop that bear years ago, how they found me when Charles took me.

We also discovered CJ is half vampire so he grows faster then a normal child. Where he is 3, he looked to be about 5. He was smart too. Like the level of a second grader rather then pre school. He loved sitting with Edward while he did his homework. He was always trying to read Carlisles medical books which were way too advanced for him. I think there is going to be another doctor in this house in the future.

I looked at the clock and sighed, Carlisle and Edward were out hunting. I should be with them, but Carlisle refuses to turn me. He says I have a choice to live, he wouldn't take that from me. So here I am, human, aging everyday while he stays inhumanly beautiful.

I shook my head and walked downstairs for something to eat. I spun on my heel when I heard the garage alarm chirp followed by screaming. I ran to the door only for Carlisle to burst in holding a young girl in his arms, the girl screaming and thrashing around. "Carlisle whats going on? Who is that?" I asked him. He looked at me and disappeared to the clinic upstairs. He came back moments later and pulled me into his arms. I pushed him away, I was so confused. "Whats going on?" I asked again. He sighed "I found her on my way home. She was attacked" he told me, I frowned. "so you brought her here? what about CJ? he will hear her screaming and freak out. He was just getting used to the people here and now we will have to move again" I shook my head.

After Charles found me and I was rescued we had to leave town. People were asking questions about the cabin that mysteriously burned down for no reason. We also discovered CJ having nightmares about Charles, since he aged so quickly and his mind is smarter then a newborn he remembers everything, which causes him to have major anxiety.

"I couldn't just leave her Esme, if you had seen the look in her eyes..." I sighed and held up my hand. "Take her to the basement, if CJ hears her it will upset him and Edward isn't home yet" We added a quiet room in the basement for CJ, its soundproof, whenever he is very stressed or just upset he goes downstairs to calm down. But recently when CJ has gotten upset only Edward has been able to calm him down. I like to think that the mind reading helps but I think its just a brotherly bond thing. Carlisle nodded and disappeared. I rushed upstairs to check on CJ, sighing when I saw he was still sound asleep.

I closed the door and gasped when Carlisle appeared behind me. "I'll start packing" I said and headed to the bedroom.
