A headache made its way through my brain as I sat beside Levi. Ella was in the room and was constantly asking him questions and was being extremely annoying. There were some other volunteers in the room, so Levi remained very professional, but I was having a hard time. Ella had been trying to come in-between Levi and I more aggressively than usual and it was beginning to take its toll on me. As I began to rub my temples and close my eyes I tried to block off the sound of Ella's voice.
"Ryder?" I never answered.
"Ryder?"
"Ryder?" My eyes opened once I felt someone nudge my shoulder. I looked over and saw Levi looking at me. Ella was pouting behind him since his attention was focused on me. "What's wrong?"
"I just have a headache." I told him.
"You should go lay down." He told me.
"Don't worry about it. We still have to sort a few things out here." I said as I waved my hand. Levi looked at me for a few seconds before turning his head and looking at the volunteers again.
"You all need to shut-up." Levi was stern with his demand and everyone did as they were told. "The only people who will be speaking for the rest of this meeting will be Ryder and myself."
"But-"
"And the next person who speaks will be cleaning all the boots of the every single official in this building." Levi cut off the one man who was about to speak. It was safe to assume that no one was going to speak after that.
Can this even be considered a chapter? it's more like a blurb. The next chapter is the holiday special that I was hoping to give to you guys during the holidays, but hey ho!
