Going to try to make a story, I don't know where I'm going with this, but I got inspired to write, so here I am. I am debating whether to do this in #rd person or first person, so review and tell me which you prefer.

This will be Dark!Percy.

Wish me luck!

I do not own any characters, they all belong to Rick Riordon.

The Separation

Percy pov (3rd Person):

In Percy's opinion, standing with his girlfriend and watching the mother of all spiders plummet into the pit of eternal damnation was therapeutic, in a way. His wise girl had outsmarted Arachne into weaving her own jail, before being thrown into Tartarus by a ballista blast from the Argo II. She had come out relatively unscathed, with little more than a broken ankle (which would be quickly fixed via some ambrosia and nectar) and a few cuts and scrapes to show for facing her biggest fear.

Percy gave his girlfriend a quick peck on the cheek before saying, "We should get you on the Argo, heal that ankle of yours before we sail for the doors of death." Annabeth gave a small smile, nodded and started limping towards the rope ladder.

Percy looked around and saw his friends securing the big statue of Athena, the Athena Parthenos, with ropes and pulleys, Jason flying around the statue, making sure it was secure, and all the ropes were tied properly. Frank had turned into an eagle and had given most of the crew a ride to the deck. Annabeth was leaning against the railing, talking with Piper, who was fussing over her ankle. Annabeth acted annoyed, but Percy could easily see she was relieved to be free of Arachne.

Jason had just landed on the deck of the Argo, leaving Percy the only one not on yet, when the cavern groaned. Sections of the floor gave way and fell into the inky abyss that lurked beneath the cavern. Percy's eyes widened as he raced for the rope ladder, the others shouting to hurry.

Percy had nearly made it when the rest of the floor gave out, leaving only a few solitary strands of silk connecting the walls of the cavern. Percy threw himself at a strand of silk and managed to grab it, leaving him holding onto a single strand of silk, dangling over the pit of damnation, with no way to get to the Argo II.

It felt like gravity had doubled on Percy, and his arms shook from the effort to hold himself up. The others couldn't save him now, if Jason of Frank tried to fly over to him, they would be sucked into the pit as well.

Percy, with great effort, lifted his head and stared at Nico, ho was leaning over the railing, horror plastered all over his features. He looked like he did when they first met in Maine, a terrified child, refusing to believe what he was seeing.

"Nico!" He shouted, "The Doors of Death, lead them there!" Nico's face paled as Percy continued, "I'll meet you there, promise!" Nico balked before he nodded, "I will, I promise!"

Percy looked at Annabeth who was paralyzed, eyes wide in disbelief, and shaking like a leaf in the wind. He saw her lips moving, but couldn't hear any sound other than his blood pumping in his ears. He managed a shaky smile before the silk stand snapped, leaving Percy falling, alone, with no backup, or even a weapon stronger than a three-foot sword, into Tartarus, where the worst and deadliest beings, some older than even the gods, lie.

No-ones pov:

The Argo was silent as it flew out of the cavern. The crew were stuck, staring off the side of the ship like their lives depended on it. The first to snap of the trance was Jason, who ushered the rest of the crew into the mess hall, stating that they needed to, "find where the Doors of Death and get Percy the hades out of there." Coach Hedge nodded and claimed he would man the helm for now as the seven met.

Once in the mess hall, Jason spoke up, "Does anyone know where we need to go?" Nico spoke up, still far paler than normal and shaking slightly, "Epirus" The others glanced at him, silently asking for more information. "Epirus, it's a town in Greece," he clarified, "The doors are in the crypts there." Jason nodded and turned to Leo, "Can you set course for there, Leo?" Leo nodded numbly, pulled out a tablet and put in the coordinates. "It should take about two weeks, given our top speed and the fact we need to avoid mountains. We could go faster if we went in the water but…" Leo faltered. "It would be like spitting in the face of the Fates," Hazel mumbled.

Jason nodded, then spoke softly, "Should we inform the gods?" The others looked around, before Frank spoke up, "We need to tell them we retried the Athena Parthenos anyway, but I don't know if we should have Annabeth…" Frank trailed off.

Annabeth was staring into space, face ivory and eyes red and puffy. She was mumbling, but none of the remaining seven could make out what she was saying. Piper gently made her way over to her and tried speaking to her. When she didn't respond, the younger girl picked her up and made her way to Annabeth's cabin.

Once Piper retunded, the others had made a rainbow and had a drachma at the ready. Frank tossed it into the rainbow, "Oh Iris, goddess of the Rainbow, please accept my offering. Show us the gods on Mt. Olympus."

Poseidon Pov:

It was another average meeting of the gods, Apollo and Artemis arguing over who is older, Ares and Aphrodite making out, (which Poseidon found disgusting), Him and Zeus arguing over closing Olympus and not interfering with the marching Roman army. What separated this meeting from most was when an Iris message from the seven shimmered into existence in front of the council. It was silent for a moment, in which Poseidon took the time to look over the heroes that would save or doom the world. They were all worn down, tired, and grimy, like there had been a battle recently. Strangely, all of them had puffy, red eyes, like they had been crying. His eyes widened with shock when he noticed that his son and girlfriend, the daughter of Athena, were missing. That, compared with the puffy eyes painted a pictured that Poseidon absolutely hated. His son couldn't be dead, could he?

Zeus shifted into Jupiter, cleared his and addressed the heroes, "What business do you have interrupting the council of the gods?" He sounded more annoyed than anything. Jupiters' kid, Jason he believed, cleared his thought and stated, "We have good news and bad, the good being we have acquired the Athena Parthenos." Athena perked up at this, "Where is Annabeth, she should be rewarded for this great feat." Jason bit his lip before stating that she was in her room. Poseidon, feeling deep in his gut that something was wrong, spoke up, "Where is my son, where is Persues?" The majority of the council agreed with him. One of the heroes let out a choked sob as dread took over the lord of the sea. The son of the king of the gods gathered himself before speaking once more, "Perseus Jackson has fallen into Tartarus alone."

Boom! The first chapter done! I'll try and update tomorrow if I can but no promises. Please review!
